Year 6 - Primary School - Leaver's Party - Ideas Needed!

I help on the PTFA at my children's school and we are organising a leaving party for the Year 6s (70 10-11 year olds). Normally it is a disco and a buffet - but hoping to jazz it up a bit this year - has anyone been to any good ones or have any good ideas? It must include a chocolate fountain though so my daughter tells me!!!!

How about the old favourite...A couple of weeks before the party, each of the kids brings a photo of when they started school (4/5?). All the pics are numbered get put on a board together. Each child records who they think the pics are of and the one who gets the most correct gets some kind of prize. Also if funds allow - could each of the kids be given a disposable camera to take their own memory photos of the party?

Weve already paid and organised my daughters leaving primary this year , to start several limos come to the school to pick them all up , then a short drive to the beach for photos and a beach barbie , then back in the limos to a disco in a hired hall , only cost £20 per child all in :) although i dont know whether we get a special discount as it has been the in thing for the last few years .

Hasn't things changed now?? Can't remember we had a party in those days, let alone limos pick up,chocolate fountains ,discos??.......oO. Only remember at 16, we had an Autograph book each and our school friends would write good luck messages and their contacts on it.....that was it.......:(

I'm in the process of organising my son's Year 6 leaving do with red carpet, chocolate fountain, finger buffet, cutlery/crockery, photobooth and disco. In my time, we were given an exercise book from the stationery cupboard which we got everyone to sign in the playground. After school, we were a bit rebellious and got our school shirts signed and threw eggs, flour and milk at each other.....the good old days!!
