Yes, Andy Abraham (that nice man from the X Factor) will be yet another embarassment to the UK music industry in this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Forget talent, forget potential success in Belgrade, he's was on the X Factor so **hell yeah** he gets the vote!
I think that audience participation should be banned from Eurovision, it should be decided by people who know WTF they are talking about. It would be a whole lot more viable as a meaningful music comp.

I think JD should have applied.

But the guy from Joseph had as much coverage but he didn't stand a chance.
Michelle Gayle would have been better had she ditched the blonde puppet girls!

It's a pity that Gareth Gates is otherwise disposed with ITV, he'd have won the vote hands down had he been an entrant.
@ stora, yeah I know it's a mediocre exercise in crassness. I know that it is also a yearly exercise where the voter gets to show Europe who their favorite/least favorite country is. That's why I say talent comes second to BS internal politics at Eurovision. My gripe is that we can't pick the most talented act even whilst the vote is in our hands.

It doesnt matter who we have in this as over the last few years in turned into
a popularity contest. All geographical voting happened over the years but
recently its gone beyond a joke.

The country with the most border wins:thumbsup:

UK could enter any chart singer or supergroup and we would still finish in the lower reaches.

Our songs are booed, we get sympathy 1 and 2 points off the likes of Cyprus, malta and Rep Ireland etc.
One big joke -the best thing about it is "allegedly" Every year Terry Wogan downs a bottle of Baileys on air and just goes off on one!!!

This used to be the highlight of my tv year (honest!!) but there no point even watching the songs anymore:x

oh and check out Irelands entry - A Puppet named Dustin the Turkey........
(I sh*t u not)

Dustin is funny, I remember watching him when I went to dublin a couple of years ago.

I thought that group of three girls should have got through to eurovision, michelle gayle sounded awful

Funny though, that the last winner we had was a talented and established act.

Dustin The Turkey gets my vote!!!

According to the bookies, Gordon Brown would have more chance of winning tonight. Oh well, another eastern bloc winner I guess ...

Andy Abraham...

I think he's doing Eurovision because it's his last chance to get his carreer started...
