Did you put it through as an e-cheque did you by mistake?

I only asked as when you pay by e-cheque it takes a while to clear and sometimes it shows as cleared at your end but can still take an extra day or so at the sellers end.

Thanks. know what you mean about e-cheques I used them once by accident and vowed never again they are a nightmare.

I've always been mystified by e-cheques, am always terrified that I will end up paying by one by mistake. How do they happen? They can take up to ten days to clear, they're a nightmare.

Sounds like an e-cheque. What does it say in your Paypal Account when you click on 'details' for this transaction? What did the email from Paypal say, the one you received when you paid.
You could always ask your seller to forward a copy of his email confirming the payment date. He could have got your payment confused with another buyer.

Strange, I know what I would do and that's start a dispute through Paypal. I wouldn't escalate it to a claim just yet, but it would wake the seller up.

What is the item number?:-

when the seller says waiting for clear funds- they mean when the funds go into their bank acc

I hope not because that can take up to 10 days and to qualify for seller protection the widget needs to be shipped with 7 days of receiving payment.

Your email address or credit card probably isnt verified with paypal.

My sister had the same problem, once she verified her email. The payment showed on her paypal account and gave her the option to accept/deny the payment.

I would start a Paypal dispute, I hate fools like your seller. There is no need for that behaviour, it achieves nothing.

Had someone offer to pay me £152 that they won with postage for£130.

They have offered to sendit to paypal once I send it, and tell them the shipping number.

Hmmmmmmmmmmppphhhh. I am no Sherlock Holmes, but I smell something fishy. What a wate of time

If you have received an email stating you have been sent a payment through PayPal and the payment will not be released until you provide a tracking number, the email is not from PayPal. It is not a valid transaction.

When you receive a payment that has been correctly directed to your PayPal account, you will see the transaction in your History log. If it was an Instant Payment, the funds will immediately be posted to your PayPal balance.

If the buyer paid you with an eCheque or by bank transfer, you will see the transaction status in your PayPal account 'History' listed as 'Uncleared'. The funds will not be posted to the balance until it has been completely processed. When the funds have been posted, the status of the payment will show as 'Cleared'.

If reporting a suspicious or potentially fraudulent email that you have received, please forward the original email including the header information or the site's URL to us at spoof@paypal.com">spoof@paypal.com. Do not alter the subject line or forward the message as an attachment-doing so prevents us from investigating it further. Immediately delete the email from your inbox once it has been sent.
