Was in tesco yesterday getting some stuff and paid with my card put in my pin and the card kinda slipped out early and it said card removed too early, so I asked the lady had it gone through etc and she said no so I put my pin in again etc and went on my way. (There was no receipt saying payment cancelled or anything)
Today I'm checking my online balance on my account and it looks like I have been charged twice. On my online account (nationwide) it shows where I have been charged ie Amazon £10. So far it hasnt popped up Tesco £30 whatever quid it just shows my available balance which I have worked out at exactly twice what I paid in tesco. Its only a couple of days later that the transaction will show on my statement.
So my question is (after that confusing babble above) if they have actually charged my twice, do I just walk into tesco with a copy of my statement and my receipt and get a refund that way? Or will it be an issue that has to be taken up with nationwide?
