YODEL Delivery HELP!

Hi guys,

I bought some computer components from DABS yesterday and paid an extra £4 for next day delivery, the order went through fine and was very quickly dispatched... to Yodel.

At midday today the tracking system updated to "consignee cannot be reached". I don't see how this could be possible as I have been in all day waiting around for the package and they have delivered to me before without problem.

Here is the tracking data so far:

My question is, as I paid for next day delivery, will my item be delivered today? I have seen numerous posts elsewhere showing that the package was returned to the local hub after the consignee was "unavailable".

Any input ASAP would be much appreciated!

Call DABS and get them to look into it -- worse case you get your delivery fee back.

^ This. Although would imagine getting your postage back will be best case rather than worse case as its not their fault Yodel and crap! :D

Surely they would take next day deliveries more serious than other 4-5 day deliveries (although with Yodel I too doubt it). So if not to day do you think they will deliver tomorrow? Do they even deliver on Saturdays?

Thats a weird message to get, surely if you're out its usually can't deliver, left card.

It makes me think he can't find you're address, unless its just Yodel code.

Most Yodal next day deliverers to me (also Bristol) take 3 days (go figure!).

I've complained to Argos, who I order from, many times times and they just ignore them so I've stopped ordering from them.

On the same note, I complained to amazon about Yodel forging my signature and leaving a parcel in the rain.

Amazon very good and offered an immediate replacement which Yodel left outside and forged my signature again. They don't take any notice at all.

They did the same to us. In Jan in the pouring rain they left a new 32 inch TV leaning against our back door in full view !!

You have to wonder where they get their drivers from?

I scrapped my Prime last week after rowing with Amazon over their continued use of Yodel'HDNL despite eveyrone knowing how poor they are.

I have called them up. Took 10 minutes to get though and all the guy said was that "the driver who was given the package does not deliver to your area"! WTF! How could they give it to a driver who doesn't serve my area?

They have sent it back to the Bristol depot and are resending on Monday. "Next Day"?

Rather nervous, paid for the next day delivery, 4 pm and i have just spoke to an operator who asked. " didnt you listen to the message which says it can be up to 5.30".
The trouble is i have rearranged several meetings to be in the office all day to accept the parcel, if at 5.30 it hasn't arrived i wount be in tomorrow and i cant re arrange my work and meetings just because they cannot deliver what they promise.
It left Middleton this morning at 10.51, we are 15 miles away ????
I wish i'd gone to collect, why can we manage to put a camera in someone vein in their body but cannot delivery a box on time.

Shocking really, in business if i was a day late delivering projects, or anything else i had promised a customer, they wouldn't use me again. Fingers crossed.

Well yodel put on their tracking parcel site that they could not find my address !, oh yeah forgot I live in a different planet silly me. This was after they tried to deliver on Wednesday when I booked for Saturday anyway ! I know what just do what u want yodel!,,

I send by courier frequently and have had no problems receiving goods handled by other carriers. YODEL, however, is the worst carrier I have had the misfortune to come across!
I ordered from Amazon on 5 Dec and the package arrived in Yodel's Middleton depot in the early hours of Sat 8 Dec.
It was sent out for delivery the same day, but has not arrived here, only 14 miles away, and it is now the afternoon of 12 Dec!!

I contacted Yodel on 0800 0152662 and was told that I could telephone the person with my package, Khan, on 0744 5269168, but that number is unobtainable!
All Amazon can do is to suggest I wait until 20 December !!!!

What Amazon should do is to stop using Yodel!!

This is the one and only time I will obtain goods delivered by Yodel.
Ordered a SGS3 from OSPS for delivery 31st Dec.
Checked the tracking at 3pm and found an update with attempted delivery and card left at 13:26.

Complete and utter lies.
No body tried to deliver to my house at that time. I know because we had stayed in puposefully, leaving it as late as possible go out on a few local errands.

Phoned customer services and was told they would contact the depot and the depot would contact me with delivery details after speaking to the local delivery courier.
I'm still waiting for the phonecall and the parcel is back at the service centre. It's not even going to be delivered today by the looks of things.

Same here for me, I am chasing it at the moment. I was told that my parcel was signed for by a blind person and that there is a data flow problem on the tracker so they cant tell me where it is !!!!! Well none of my neighbours are blind, neither am I, so where is my parcel, back of the van?, in a bin somewhere??

Have phoned customer service and they just tell me to get on to Virgin who sent the parcel originally.

Absolutely atrocious service... Yodel need training from DPD... This is my 3rd parcel in 10 days ..first one posted at wrong house..how can you not tell number 2 from number 18. 2nd parcel paid extra for morning delivery, still not arrived at 12.30pm, depot rang driver while I was on the phone. 3rd parcel I am still sat here waiting after 3 days, should have arrived on Tuesday. Tracker says calling card left...this is a lie..calling card left on Wednesday, also a lie, now they have informed me it will be here tomorrow, I am not holding my breath. This is an outfit for a wedding on Saturday, thanks yodel..I will think twice about ordering any items where I know yodel are the couriers. They also managed to lose my granddaughters pram . She has just come out of hospital and cannot leave the house now until it arrives.

It's still happening. Paid extra to Amazon for expedited delivery as I needed it for the weekend and my item seems to have sat for 3 days 'awaiting collection' by Yodel ever since. The next time I see Yodel mentioned for delivery in any order it's cancelled immediately.

"Rescheduled By Receiver" is another thing that may happen... I had to wait three days for my delivery

Thankfully at least I think Amazon has stopped or at least significantly reduced their use of Yodel, 5 packages I ordered were delivered ON TIME the very next day within a 1 hour time slot by DPD using amazon Prime! They are by far the best courier service out there at the moment, followed closely by UPS, although DPDs online tracker and time slot allocation is amazing!

Well it's 8:30pm and still not delivered. Judging by all the comments I could be waiting until next Christmas!

Hi the tracker on my parcel is saying that it cant be reached to me what does this mean I havnt had anything threw to door to say anyones been when my parcel been delivery

This company is is jokes!!! I missed the first delivery by 5 mins so online I rescheduled for a day when I was in. The completely ignored this even though I have an email confirmation from them saying it was all agreed and booked. I now need a crystal ball and an overdraft trying to make money back from calling the call centre with no humans and trying to figure out where on earth my parcel is!!

I order 2 TVs from amazon, they said they had been to my house, but couldn't find my address, which makes zero sense. Then they couldn't find the TVs. I spent ages on the phone, told them I had CCTV and they hadn't been to my house, after a couple of hours the TVs turned up , delivered in the back of someone's car.

Same thing happen last month too. They claim they left a 40inch tv in my front porch, a locked front porch. Tv never showed up

I ordered a CD player on Monday 14/07/14 from a supplier offering 48-hour delivery. I naively assumed Royal Mail, so gave my home address - I live a couple of blocks away from the sorting office, so it's easy to pick up parcels. Wednesday, on schedule, Yodel attempted to deliver - I was out, they left a card - so far, so good. That evening, returning from work, as invited on the card I logged on & rescheduled delivery to work the next day, receiving a confirmation e-mail. No delivery, Thursday, no delivery Friday, no delivery Saturday. Sunday, I logged on to reschedule once more. The first available date was now Tuesday. I arranged delivery, received confirmation & waited until Tuesday: nothing. Phoned up Tuesday evening & expressed my displeasure at length: package arrived at work Wednesday.
From now on, I will be checking which courier company is used whenever I shop online - I'm only going to use Royal Mail & Parcelforce.

my parcel was due for delivery tomorrow - today I got a text telling me there was an unforeseen delay and updated tracking info puts my parcel as to be delivered 'by Thursday' almost s full week after being ordered. I think of it arrives I Will consider myself one of the lucky ones...

After showing as out for delivery and back at service center several times, tracking page came up with the following message:

Possible delay, incomplete address

I can clearly see the address on the YODEL website and it is both complete and correct. The customer service line does not recognize the tracking number (even though it works on the website), so I cannot speak with anybody at YODEL. The parcel is addressed to an office, on a main road, manned 24/7. Clearly with YODEL it is necessary to clearly state that the driver needs to ring the doorbell/knock on the door!!!!

AVOID YODEL AT ALL COST!!!! ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!!

Never had a problem with yodel. Not one single problem from a few hundred orders over the last few months, and that is all over the UK.

they lie constantly
told my my delivery was in van and drivers do not fin till 2100 my parcel was delivered back to middleton at 1900 hrs ??
saying they left card but did not even come near my home as i was home all day
