YODEL the home delivery network - any more disgruntled customers?

I know there are lot of people out there who have been walked over by YODEL (yodel.co.uk) myself included, but just thought I would mention that there is a campaign on twitter to try and get BBC Watchdog to give their shocking delivery service some primetime exposure in hope that it will force them to close or improve their borderline criminal delivery service.

They have been renamed from HDNL & and from what I can make out have recently taken on a contract with DHL to deliver a slice of their stuff too!

If you could share your experience of Yodel with @NotYodel and/or #Yodel on twitter and maybe include the @twitterUserName or #comanpanyName of who uses them to deliver their merchandise to you, the customer, we might get some momentum going and get someone to listen to the many thousands of unhappy Yodel customers.

Used 3 times and they have failed 3 times! The CEO should hang his head in shame for the poor service that his company has managed to deliver to its customers this Christmas. Note that a consistent poor service is they only thing that they have managed to deliver on time. Yes I am Yodelling for flipping good reason!!!!!!
They have had my parcel since Friday, no delivery went in yesterday, no parcel, called today, parcel has been lost, I only live around the corner, ffs. :(
I haven't used YODEL enough to completely judge them but in the past month i have had 3 phones delivered by them all worth a decent amount and they have all arrived a day after dispatch. Maybe i just got lucky but can't fault them thus far.

I've twitted my dislike of them on a few occasions, not the best delivery company in my opinion they claim they attempted deliveries but no note 3 days in a row and i was in :/
my neighbour waited over 2 weeks for a parcel from the book people via yodel. when she rang up they told her that the driver had gone AWOL and been keeping parcels that he thought were of value. think he got arrested but she got no apology or anything when her parcel finally turned up a few days ago.

Yodel are rubbish...suggest no one order fro manyone that uses them for delivery.
I am with a lot of these people. My package has been sat at their depot for 8 days. No attempted contact, and blatant ignorance of my order when i phoned them. The email on their site recognises my order so why do they not?
Needless to say i have a christmas present which (unless it's delivered tomorrow) i will not be able to give out.
It is going to make me think twice about ordering from amazon. I ordered on 10th December with estimated delivery of 3-5 days.
Very poor firm
Terrible service. Delivery guy turned up at 9pm in his own car, only to deliver a parcel to me that was addressed to someone else. I argued that the parcel was for someone else and he moaned that it must be correct! (Only part of the address that was correct was the house number - wrong name, street, postcode) When I gave it him back, he threw it in the back of the car and drove off, without looking for or delivering my actual parcel!!!

Prior to this, I had to re-order my items through Debenhams as the first batch went 'missing'.

Well previously Yodel have been fine - ish but this last delivery WTF.

Ordered through Argos to be delievered yesterday between 7am & 8pm no sign of it till I get a message off the Argos twitter saying delivery attempt made at 7:58pm, which never happened. No card left, no-one come to door, with two large heavy boxes we would have heard then coming up the metal steps out side as well as seen them leaving after said attempt. Had a go at Argos most of last night (but they are actually trying to be helppful) evenually get tracking order and find it's myhdnl / yodel. Finally tracks to say on van but 20 mins later tracks to say off van. Phoned them twice both times all they can do is email their depot (they can't even ring them?!) and wait for a response. Saying it's likely not going out today but tomorrow, which will be my 3rd wasted day and bet it doesn't come then either!!!

That is what is happening to me right now!!!
Absolutely disgusted with their service...my parcel took 37 hours to travel from their nottingham depot to their prime sort depot in Wednesbury.....approximately 60 miles! At that rate it's going to take another 2 1/2 days to travel the next 95 miles to me!
For the sake of balance, I had a Yodel pickup a couple of days ago. They arrived on the day I booked them to arrive, and pretty early on in the day, too. The chap was polite and very efficient with the paperwork, so, if anyone from Yodel's Edinburgh office is reading, kudos to you.
My dad's a Yodel driver, loves his job, done it for years and never had a complaint against him.

Sure, I've no doubt there's some cowboys out there, but they're not all bad!

This is the first time that a courier couldnt locate my address.I didn't even receive the "No One To Receive Card" I mean seriously this is annoying
The chap that normally does this area is a legend, very good indeed. Supposed to get a delivery from out of the area (large item) on Thursday, when I phoned because it hadn't arrived I was told there was a 5 hour delay, it should have been here by 11am so that meant by 4pm now. Not the end of the world, apart from it still didn't turn up, and it still hasn't arrived 5 days later now!!!!
i ordered a scooter from skate.co.uk and ordered next day delivery. i got an email comfirming my order . It was ordered thursday morning so should have come on friday. It is now wednesday and it still hasnt come!!! :(
tracking says parcel being delivered, but was not, so i call em up and they say that i need to contact the sender (chinese ebay company) to find out about my parcel and that they don;t have a contact number for the driver... simply unbelievable...

how can a company like Amazon use this awful yodel courier service??!! i got the old 'unable to gain timely access' note on the online tracking after waiting in all day. there are no problems with access to my property, needless to say. when i phoned them (after being on hold for 10 minutes) they were evasive and just said dont worry delivery will be attempted again tomorrow. i cant even go to a service centre to collect my own good because 'you have to have a card from us sir to do that'. how can i get a card if they never turn up and just leave these sort of lies on the tracking info?

amazon - you disappoint me for using yodel.
