YODEL the home delivery network - any more disgruntled customers?

I know there are lot of people out there who have been walked over by YODEL (yodel.co.uk) myself included, but just thought I would mention that there is a campaign on twitter to try and get BBC Watchdog to give their shocking delivery service some primetime exposure in hope that it will force them to close or improve their borderline criminal delivery service.

They have been renamed from HDNL & and from what I can make out have recently taken on a contract with DHL to deliver a slice of their stuff too!

If you could share your experience of Yodel with @NotYodel and/or #Yodel on twitter and maybe include the @twitterUserName or #comanpanyName of who uses them to deliver their merchandise to you, the customer, we might get some momentum going and get someone to listen to the many thousands of unhappy Yodel customers.

No, what you have done,or rather the dullard that you employ,is simply lost interest in locating the address and gone home .. which is more than likely what their customer service team have done if my 20 minute waiting time with no answer is anything to go by !!

Received my Yodel Enfield delivery today after chasing the sellers. Surprise, the box had been ripped open and 15 items removed. No attempt made to cover up their stealing, rather the shrink wrappers had been sliced and they took their pick of the contents. A delivery last week of a printer to a charity by this bunch resulted in their leaving the box 100 yards from the entrance gate and then they forged the signature to say they had handed it over at 6.pm In fact it was found at around 10.30 in pouring rain, when the people were going round to bring the injured animals indoors for the night. Also, their drivers must be the scruffiest down and outs ever. I am cautious even answering the door to them ( we had one delivery at 11pm) as they look like they have rolled off a park bench and not seen water for quite some time. Can we get this shameless organisation closed down. Don't companies realise they are cheap - for a reason. They are unreliable rubbish. I no longer will buy from any company who uses either Yodel or Parcelforce. Vote with our business - or lack of.

Delivery due yesterday. Returned to depot due to bad weather. No bad weather here! No update since yesterday on website using tracking number. Called Yodel twice who said the depot would call me. No call. No parcel.

I've been expecting a parcel since 26th March which is when it left the main supplier. Twice now they have said that the customer rescheduled. What a load of lies - why would i reschedule when i need the item for a birthday present for tomorrow?

checked on yodel web site re parcel no contact details on web site but if they did try to deliver errr where is so called delivery card if they returned it to the service centre here is the details i got

Ordered vacuum cleaner set from groupon. Rang me randomly on a tues When I was working to say that delivery is on my doorstep. Had to arrange for my day off for delivery, asked to be delivered on a specific time so I can be at home to receive it, will not cooperate. So requested to deliver to a different address, says that's fine & did not deliver. Waited for a whole day. Rang the courier to check arrogant and rude attitude, and actually saying I'm messing him about. Then slammed the phone on me. God knows when I'll receive my parcel

Yodel used to be rubbish. Possibly the worst. Recently though I've seen major improvements with tracking, customer service and excellent delivery times. Its probably just down to my local Yodel delivery driver though because he's delivered the last couple of parcels to me and is always punctual and polite. Now they need to make sure they can get people like that all across the board. Probably won't happen though.

Update Thank You Ceres for the links I called and finally got through to Bellshill and they had transferred the parcel Friday to Oban Express who I know and are very good carriers , so I hope it will arrive today or tomorrow due to the Glasgow fair :)

I am genuinly staggered that a company such as YODEL can survive in business these days. Don't the major companies that they have delivery contracts with know or care about the appalling shambles they operate. To cut a long story short, I waited in on two successive days for a vital parcel for which I'd paid extra for next day delivery. I live in an apartment complex with security gates but there is a fully working intercom at the entrance. On each day their tracking system recorded 'No one present to accept delivery, card left.' Needless to say, no card was left. I was puzzled by this and on the next day was determined to be ready as the parcel was vital to me. I sat in my car in the car park next to the security gates and as each car/van pulled up at the gates, I opened them with my remote and let them in. I sat there all day and about mid afternoon I saw a Yodel van drive slowly past and the driver look at the gates. 'Oh good I thought, he'll turn around and come back.' The van did come back, the driver went past slowly, looked at the gates again which have a great big name sign on and drove away !!!!!!!!!!!!! That explained everything. It was clearly too much trouble to get out of the van and use the intercom. Checked the tracking that evening and guess what? 'No one present to accept delivery, card left.' Be very wary of ordering anything which may be delivered by this bunch of incompetent clowns.

I then ask the company to log my details and inform me when they have started to use a different courier....amazing response as they will either use a different courier for my orders or send them via Royal Mail (Totally reliable) or in one case, the company rang about 4 weeks later to say they had changed courier due to the high number of complaints! People power CAN work....TELL the companies.

WOW, this is amazing, well done.Sounds like we're getting somewhere. Can't believe they are still I'm business and by the sounds of it, haven't still changed their business practices. Glad the thread is regularly updated still. Hope it goes someway helping the situation.

Went for an interview with them. My town is kilmarnock and the depot was based in irvine 10 miles away, so petrol would be a problem and sometimes 2 depot visits may be needed.
Next they said it was part time, rubbish you need to work six days a week and get to the depot before 10 am.
Then some parcels had to be delivered at specific times , also if customers were not in you had to leave cards with your phone number, so when you get home in the evening you had to answer all the phone calls.
I cant remember the exact pay per parcel, but there was no way i would make money.
In the interview they said a lot of yodel staff only last the first week then leave, no surprise.
Plus if you went on holiday they expected you to find someone to do your round, plus as you are self employed you earn no holiday pay.

Sound like a disgusting company who only take advantage of people. Even been on the dole sounds better than that cr4p. I wonder how well the owners and directors of this company sleep at night!

I had a phone delivered by them, but as the the sender had arranged the day and time of delivery, I went on holiday and was coming back home the day before arranged delivery, only to find out via my neighbour that the parcel was left on my doorstep 4 days after I went away, the driver had posted a card and it stated it was delivered 2 days after I went away. There was no signature either for this parcel either!

Had 3 occasions where YODEL marked 'address problem' on website one day, delivered next with no further information. This week had package returned to sender after 3 working days with only one attempt at delivery, spoke to customer services to be told that should not happen!!!! But it did and they say sorry again... Never been so unhappy with delivery company... One company used to deliver on time every day with Parcel Force, moved to Yodel and service gone down pan! Phone their costly 0871 number and can't get through to anyone as you don't have a calling card number cos they never got here in first place. Priceless!
Asked for manager of my local depot to call, but they don't speak to customers!!!! They just leave it to Cust Services to say sorry! sorry! sorry!

I'm getting really really ANGRY. I rearranged with virgin to resend the package out for my phone yesterday.

I briefed reception how have my mobile and office number to call me and now it says again receiver would not sign.

What is going on?

I am livid, really angry. I'm sick and tired to death of waiting and this bunch of clowns can't be bothered to organise a delivery.

It's not your fault but YODEL are a disgrace to the courrier business.

Yodel acting for M&S Outlet yesterday failed to find my Glasgow city center address.
They then claim to have tried again at a time I was in the house yesterday.
Today their computer failed to recognize my parcel number and(Glasgow depot) failed to answer the phone while I held my line to Yodel HQ England.
Now the on site message is "Cleared Customs" , perhaps Scotland is Independent already!!!
NOT A COMPANY I WANT TO TRY AGAIN.

Guess my 6 year old daughter won't be having a terrific party this weekend, as the stuff for a party bag has been left with a neighbour at number 3 and no card left. Considering the delivery should have been made to my work address which is open from 8 - 6, nowhere near a residential area and nowhere near Sandwell you could say I'm somewhat pst off.
Now waiting for a call back from customer service after they've contacted the driver, guess after reading the comments on here I'll be waiting for a lot longer than the 45 mins I've already been waiting. I mean how long does it take to make a telephone call?

Do they deliver on Sundays? My xbox one arrived in the local depot on Friday night and I'm hoping for a delivery tomorrow.. wouldn't want a weekend wasted..

I've never had a problem with DHL, I've actually got a good opinion about them, as for Yodel I think their name should be changed to Yokels.

I posted earlier on in the thread that Yodel have always been brilliant for me.

They also delivered my Xbox One on Friday, tracking was spot on & the delivery was great again.

I always get the independent guys delivering my stuff, not a Yodel van, so that could be why :)

I got screwed over today by yodel, had to take a day of work to wait for a parcel the driver had no intention of delivering. The tracking message was delivery attempted, unable to access property.......even though my front door opens up to the road?

Dont suppose they will deliver on a Sunday will they guys?
