Yodel out to silence critics or those that complain

Yodel threatened Twitter with legal action to silence online critics. Is there nothing this company will do to cover up its failings.

    Have never seen a worse company than Yodel. Have had parcels stolen by their employees - and delivered damaged. One of the most incompentent companies I have ever seen - even a direct email to their CEO was ignored whilst the CEO team of carphone warehouse, who were also copied in the same email, were very quick to respond!

    Avoid at all costs...

    I dont know what they are trying to gain. I have never seen anyone ranting at yodel on twitter. I see it all the time on the whole internet on every single forum..ect. This just makes them look even worse than they are because those seeing this news article will automatically search the internet for stories from yodel lol.

    Hopefully they shut down, my favourite was them as HDNL at the time, leaving two digital cameras on my door mat outside on December 23rd in the snow when I was away until the 29th, luckily it's a decent area so they weren't stolen, the amazon box had disintegrated into brown pulp on the ground from the weather and all that had luckily protected the cameras was a piece of bubble wrap that happened to be lying just right to keep most the weather off them.

    It's not entirely fair to put all the blame at the courier's door, so to speak. ;)

    Amazon probably only paid HDNL a couple of £s to deliver it and didn't bother with signed for delivery. So all the driver had to do was to dump it on your doorstep. That's what Amazon paid him for. If people want to pay rock bottom prices and have their purchases delivered to their door, then perhaps they shouldn't be too surprised if the delivery service is poor.

    The claim is "accounts that it claims are defamatory and “constitute a serious libel”.".

    Simple answer to this is to publicly show proof that they do constitute such libel.

    It may well be that by this action against twitter that many people who have received poor service will come out and show proof that they have and ruin Yodel's reputation even more.

    What Yodel should do is own up to themselves where they are deficient and put it right.

    It won't change minds overnight but gradually, through giving better service, their reputation and custom will grow.

    Personally I have never had a problem with them! Had numerous of good deliveries!!

    YODEL are great when delivering to my office, always on time, the driver is very polite and chatty. Can't say it's alway the same when having things delivered to my home address though! I guess it's luck of the draw.

    Usually an afternoon delivery at around 2-3pm without fail

    No problems here either. I have parcels delivered by yodel regularly and always find the courier happy and efficient. If I'm not in I'm left a mobile number and the parcel will be delivered at an agreed time. I've not had this from other companies.

    If they dont deliver can i forcefully collect the item at their depot the same day?

    They are saying wait 24 hours but the whole point of paying a premium was so i could get my delivery early. which they are way off mark now. Its very important. They have really let me down but I am desperate now. I feel so angry.

    Everyone should demand a refund for delivery if this is the case. For me its much more than money though. I should have gone free and Royal mail 2-3 days :(

    Not sure about local depot collections I do know that some others are ok with it. I too am waiting on a 24 hour delivery that should have been here yesterday and guess what? Yodel have lost the box, can't see how it is a large box that anyone cannot miss or forget about. 1st Class d**ks
