Second things second, What do you think your best app of 2009 is for your iphone.

My fave is peggle i think, Its a tough choice to choose between weather pro or a game like peggle. I choose peggle because its so addictive.

Whats your favourite app of 2009?

Dont really have any favourites, but hopefully some worthwhile ones will get posted.

Sky+ is useful as is TomTom. If I had to choose, I'd probably pick Flixter.

Happy New Year everyone BTW....:-D

Nice thread idea!

My most used is Tweetie 2 probably, but the guardian app is nice as well. Jamcam is nice and geeky. I also like Autostitch to make panoramic photos, and Road Trip as a car computer with extras.

My favourite, despite being incredibly dull i guess, is probably WeatherPro... an accurate weather app. from the www.raintoday.co.uk people.

Not an app, but while on the subject, have you seen the latest update to it? Lots more channels.

Not good!

I have good WiFi where I work, but the missus doesnt. She's just been hit with a warning for data. (I checked.... she's been on about 100MB per month. October it jumps to 1.9GB and November 900MB, December 800MB. She's now on a final warning (since she had already clocked up the data before even knowing what the problem was!) It didnt help that even at home, she had switched off WiFi.

Sooooo. If you use TVCatchup, make sure its on WiFi.

Simplfy music 2

so useful for accessing your music from anywhere and it streams the music to your phone, even with album artwork. Good thing is it works over edge and 3g too!

Yeah excellent work mods - those images were boring and repetitive and very off topic.

As for apps... Sky Mobile TV is pretty good too - free espn for 3 months, and then £6 - TV out jailbreak app to put it on tv.

sky mobile TV, first 150,000 o2 customers get 3 months for free, use the "3G unrestrictor app" to watch without wifi !!

There's two apps for you!

(3G unrestrictor, the cracked version you dont get from cydia, but you should be able to find it and the installation instructions in the usual places, or buy it from cydia store, its only $3 and worth every penny!)

I am completely addicted to Bejewelled2. It's like crack.

Also, Tweetie is good.

Is that PAYG then? Mines monthly and the Cap is just 500MB. You get three warnings before they remove the bolt on.

yes m8, had exactly the same convo with a m8 the other day, the payngo iphone sims have 1gb fair usage, got another to swap to in july (as thats the when it has to be activated by), little annoying with o2, you have to get your PAK, move to another network for a day, get your PAK from them and move it to the new iphone sim... tis the only way to keep your number and switch to the new iphone sim and keep the internet etc..

Hehe... Been there done that (to be a new customer and get a better deal!)

Just annoyed that O2 open has now stopped, so when I call in 7 days time to sort a new contract, I'll prob lose my 30% discount. Hopefully though as its already on the account it'll continue. if it don't, i'll be ofski.

Windfinder and Accuweather both are very handy as a seafarer and incredibly give the same forecasts as the very expensive paid for weather forecasting programs supplied by our company.
Sky Sports Centre and iFooty Plus for football and Fox Sports for American Sports (I'm a baseball and Hockey fan).
I also like Planets for a bit of star gazing.
#31
some good apps in the list, i just downloaded the jamcam app

can you not just fill in the online form to transfer your number?

https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=29&q1=22

If not, what's a good network to shift to for a day??
