Live and Let Die.

That riff..

The scene where they use Die Another Day by Madonna is one of my personal favourites.
#4
Interesting to see who they select to sing the track for Spectre. I'd like it to be George Esra.

This one. Probably the best lyrics out of them all.

Live and let die. McCartney still nails it when he plays it live.

Skyfall and The world is not enough...

Taken from "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"...

"We Have All The Time In The World"
(music by John Barry, lyrics by Hal David, & sung by Louis Armstrong)

Brilliant pacing for what is happening on-screen (& the sad conclusion to the story) when it plays out.

"Moonraker" was only fifteen years later, but you are right; the theme to "Goldfinger" is much more memorable.

However, "Diamonds Are Forever" released midway between the two films (in 1971) is a close contender.

Shirley Bassey conveys passion in every song she sings, she gives it her all with Goldfinger.

Live and let die is also superb.

Are you aware of the track Shirley submitted for the theme for "Thunderball" but it was not included in the soundtrack?

(composed by John Barry & Leslie Bricusse)

It was Live And Let Die but has probably been pipped to the post by A View To A Kill.

Does "The Living Daylights" feature in your favourites?

Yes, that is a good song too.
I always thought it would have been cool if Queen or Bowie had sung a Bond song.

There is some talk (probably just journalistic column-filling) of Queen with Adam Lambert being considered for the theme for "SPECTRE".

Wow, that would be cool....not heard the new guy sing but it would be something to hear Brian May doing his thing on a Bond song.

They tend to pick interesting singers/groups to perform the Bond songs.

For your eyes only. Sheena Easton, whatever happened to her (after the purple one)?

Octopussy & view to a kill tracks were also good.

Thanks. Yes, it did.
That said, I find it difficult to consider them Queen anymore without Freddie.

Also enjoyed the slightly faster paced version of Moonraker from the end titles of Moonraker.
It had a definite disco funk vibe to it.

Ha ha...there's faster paced disco funk and then there's that. I would have to mute the telly if that was a Bond theme! :D

It's perhaps just because it's more recent but my favourite theme is Chris Cornell's You Know My Name even though Pierce Brosnan was my favourite Bond as the Casion Royale just stands out as being quite fresh and new combined with the stylised cartoon intro.
