In the season and a half that West Ham have been paying his wages Craig Bellamy has made 24 appearance and scored 7 goals - a pretty meagre return in my opinion.

It now looks like he wants away to yet another club for yet another inevitable pay day and yet another wage-rise.

Looking at this and his previous track record:

Disloyal scumbag? or Good Professional?

I'd say he was a good businessman.

But, have you seen David Moyes' comments on West Ham and Portsmouth re excessive wages? Looks like Mr Bellamy might have difficulty finding someone to pay him more than West Ham.

Disloyal, mercenary, whinger, overpaid journeyman.

He's carp.

WHU deserve him. :w00t:

But seriously, players like him annoy the pants off me..... but then aren't most like that?

PS - we DON'T want him. (Seriously)

Yeah you kinda picked up on what I was gonna say - he's a good scumbag professional imo

The short Alan Curbishly reign was rife with massive wage deals for players - unseen before at West Ham really.

Funny how he put on a little spurt of 3-4 goals in his last few weeks at the club:roll:

Makes it all the more distasteful the way he celebrated his recent goals as if he was West Ham through and through.

That's a myth. Loyalty is the thing from the past. Very few players have this virtue and means something to them.

A mate of mine who's a quite well known pro (retired now)..... When he signed for Celtic with a massive sign on fee, said when I spoke to him shortly after, was already thinking ahead for his next move! (As it happens it wasn't long in coming either!)

Lets see if you can guess who it is.....He played for a fair few clubs, most notabily Cheslea and Villa. (Should be easy to guess!)

Bellamy - professional?!?!?! dont make me laugh
this is the guy who attacked Jon Arne Riise with a golf club for not singing on karaoke!!
Was so relieved when Liverpool sold him, far more trouble than hes worth

I don't understand the whole loyalty thing footballers are meant to have. Do you guys apply the same principles to your careers, too? Like, would you refuse to work for a rival company, even if they offered you more money and better conditions for doing the same work you do now?

I have no problem with trying to sell the watch tower as they are a lot easier to carry than the big issue.

Football is a business first - but it's very tribal imo.

Fans know when a bloke isn't pulling his weight - or after a move.

You'd think after getting a small recent run going - after being injured so much he'd be happy enough just to be playing and scoring again.

You'd think that wouldn't you!

I can think back to a time I met Gazza in a night club in Blackpool. (We'd just played in the 3rd round of the cup). All the players were there. He openly admitted he wanted to screw the club for every penny he could. But then he never was the most diplomatic person on the planet!

I think Chris Sutton played for all three but he stayed at Celtic for a while didn't he? Oh well I'll guess him

I know a football agent (and his wife) who are mates with a premier league manager.
He was sacked last season from a club, his words on his sacking were: "doesn't matter, win it and bin it"
#30
Well I'm a Coventry fan (I know, I know) and my opinion on Bellamy, like most other Cov fans, is unable to be posted on a forum with swear filters.
#31
BELLAMY ..is a total hothead ..thug..trouble maker..and overpaid for what little he does:x
#32
Who needs Craig Bellamy?

A 3-1 win and in we're in nose-bleed territory.

Ah I got it.

He's a tv pundit and a Talk Sport radio presenter now - a good one at that. I liked him as a player too.

Haha the less said the better:-D

Nah - I've only noticed him on there last couple of years. He's got a natural talent for radio presenting - comes across really well.

Did you happen to see a goal-scoring chance missed by a Spuds player earlier? he was very unlucky...
