Thought members would want to know this and didn't know where else to post this so apologies if it should be somewhere else.

Heard this on Radio 5 news and confirmed by checking Zavvi's website. They have been affected by Woolworth's wholesale business going under and as a consequence are suspending future music/games/DVD sales until they can find an alternative supplier.

This does NOT affect their shops, nor their online book sales.

If you have a current order pending, (as I do) that may get cancelled too.

They have put a notice on the front page of the website which you can read here http://www.zavvi.co.uk/

I am not taking the risk of waiting to hear if my order will be sorted in time for Christmas so have cancelled and placed elsewhere.

I would imagine that full page newspaper ads will be placed
( plus emails sent etc, there are regulations covering what they need to do aren't there? )
