Im 17 and would like clear skin and acne free, I've tired all the crap like clean and clear and oxy etc

But after researching on the internet Zinc seems to be a good all rounder, so can anyone offer some input please :)

Also after lots of searching i still cant seem to find what the best type of Zinc is, Zinc Chelated, Zinc Gluconate etc ?

Thanks alot :)

Hi james.....i would call into a holland and barrets and ask an assistant there...they should be able to advise you on the best zinc or zinc/combination for you. :)

go to the doctors. I used to have terrible acne, have really oily skin. If its that bad, can put you on tablets. Benzoyl Peroxide works but really dries the skin.

Drink lots of water and try to eat as healthy as poss

clean and clear etc arnt designed for acne, they are designed for a few spots and just to keep your face clean

go to your doctor, my son had a course of roaccutane, amazing stuff, he is now completely spot free, my nephew had it too, not left with any unsightly scarring either as is often the case with acne.

Benzoyl Peroxide is pretty good stuff, justbe careful if you do use it though since it can stain your clothes and stuff.

Have you tried the freederm stuff? Thats pretty good as a facial wash.

Not sure about "urine therapy" ,having someone pee on your face is not nice ...................and it doesn't taste too good either :-)
I had spots years ago ..........not acne ....just a bit spotty as I had greasy skin .I bought a mini sun lamp from Argos years ago. They dont sell them now ,but I used it for about 10 mins a night for a week and my spots dissapeared. It must dry out the skin or something ,never really knew how it worked but it did .

I tried various treatments when I was younger, from Clearasil, to Oxy, then I went to see my GP who prescribed me various treatments.

To be honest, none of them work. All you have to do is wash your face/skin daily, and think to yourself that it will clear up in time. I'm 24 now and still get the odd occasional spot, but nothig near as bad as what I was.

Save your money on treatments, just be happy with who you are and enjoy yourself.

Forget chemicals, they're only going to do you more harm than good in the long run.

At 17 I can imagine you probably don't eat as healthily as is recommended.

If I were you, if you really want to clear your skin up, stay off of fizzy drinks like Coke and drink plenty of water. If you can, drink only water.

Stay off of sugary snacks and try and eat healthy meals. Lots of vegetables and fruit.

Try it out for a month and see if it makes a difference. What have you got to lose?

I used to get spots a lot, but since i started using lynx Dark temptation shower gel they have more or less cleared up.
Might not work for everyone though lol

Im John by the way, hi guys
