I am looking to upgrade my Olympus Compact to a digital SLR.

I have looked at the Olympus 520 but I believe Olympus can only take bespoke lenses. My second choice is the Canon 1000d.

I am looking at bundles with a 18-55 lens and either a 55-200 or 70-300.

These keep getting cheaper, spotted in Asda Huyton today down from £18. Doesn't seem to be available online so I guess instore only.

Note this is the SLR version, so larger than the original model and currently sell for £25 upwards elsewhere.

I have a Opteka 650-1300mm f/8-16 for sale.
It also comes with a x2 converter so you can achieve up to 2600mm.
The lens has a T-Mount so you can buy adaptors for it but the one that is included can fit Canon EOS xD/xxD/xxxD/xxxxD SLR cameras.
