I bought my house new in 2004, heating system and boiler fitted, tested and working by Barratt Homes

However 4 years on (after its 2 year warranty) the system has gone tits up

My mate who is a plumber tells me that today you cannot expect a boiler to last much longer than 5 years, at £1000 a thro more...

I need to sit my theory once again (Time has run out) , but im aware they've changed the format or something? Is it still okay to just revise from the book or do i need to buy one of these DVD test things?

Please any advice is appreciated
