Just had a message from AVG saying the free version will not be updated after the end of the month. They make it look like you need to upgrade to a paid version but after a bit of searching I found the link to upgrade to 9.0 free.

hi, i recently changed my antivirus to AVG 9.0 Internet security and tried using xbox live this morning and noticed that it would not connect, but when i disable the firewall on avg, Xbox live works like a charm...

anyone experianced something like this?

i installed avg free yesterday and scanned correctly and everything seemed fine . it scans my emails and says there are no threats there but on most of my emails i get what looks like an attachment (at least the symbol) but there is no attachment.
as i say avg tells me that there are no problems more...

I have just bought elderly father in law a notebook. It has a Linux operating system. I want to install free anti virus software and i'm used to using AVG. I tried to download a linux version (7.5) but i asked for a password, which I don't have!

I have the free addiion of this programme, and it normally runs and update fine. However on last few days it won't update and comes up with "invalid update control CTF file"

My parents' laptop has AVG antivirus protection on it, and it's reporting a Trojan Horse everytime you navigate to a new webpage.

I'm not sure what to do, as when I choose either Heal or Move to Vault, it says this could cause system unstability and make the system crash.

Ignore the fact you have to pay for some of these, which one would you go for?

I found Norton to be really slow ... but I really would like to hear other people's opinions before I get one!
