I have just bought an iphone 2g off ebay and all it does when I switch it on is show the itunes logo - otherwise it does not work.

When connected to itunes it says the phone is in recovery mode and I needs to be restored.

If I click restore, after 5 minutes it says this cannot happen as I need to more...

I was just wondering as I'm thinking about getting an iphone and I really don't see any difference between the old and new one.
