My xbox has just developed the 3 RROD. Now, I was given the xbox as gift in March last year but it does have a manufactures date of 2007-07-12, meaning its still within the 3 years for MS to fix?

Where does one go from here? Will MS fix or just replace?

A friend's Xbox 360 is getting 4 flashing red lights when you turn it on and doesn't seem to read discs. After you put one in, it says "Reading" momentarily and then says "Open Tray" as though there's not even a disc in there!!
