I'm trying to find the best way to avoid (as much as possible) the cost of internation calls when abroad. at the moment we're off to the USA and so I'm looking at that area to avoid costs.

The best Idea I could come up with was to find a Windows Mobile, Unlocked... A US Pay as you go sim card with more...

I am interested in getting HTC Touch HD with O2 or Orange (whichever has the better offer). However, looking at the O2 tarriff, I cannot make up my mind to go with the 18 months or 24 months contract.

If you are unhappy with the 08 numbers increase by t-mobile and you have had your contract for 11+months, you can call them and lower your tarriff. In a remarkable reading of Ofcom's new rules on 0870 numbers, T-Mobile has decided to double the price of such calls for most of its customers, rather than cutting them as Ofcom intended.
