anyone having trouble with zoom of late? placed an order for a birthday presents on friday and went for 1st class delivery so it would get here in plenty of time and they have still not dispatched it, placed a order from the ebay store at same time for something else and they have not dispatched that as well and they just ignore any emails i have sent, hope its just a one off (or two off) and they aren't turing into the new zavvi!

Yep, once final artwork was released I couldn't cancel that pre-order fast enough!

Disappointing that Disney didn't include the deleted scenes on the sets. We all know there are so many from the trailers. Was looking forward to seeing the extra scenes with Darth Vader and how things changed at the end when we see the Tie Fighter vs Jyn and them running along the Scariff beaches amidst the conflict with the Death Star plans.
Are they not on there? That's disappointing. Apparently they shot quite a lot of extra stuff that wasn't used.
Hopefully at least the trailers will be included.
The only announced bonus features are the ones listed above unfortunately. I'd be fine without their "test footage" but to not include the bits cut when Disney stepped in is disappointing. Especially when the trailers appear to show very different scenes. The cynical side of me thinks Disney didn't want them included for fear of a backlash (despite Rogue One still being a great film as it is now).
Maybe they plan to sell a Collector's Edition later in the year, including the scenes, once The Last Jedi hits the cinema. :)
Oh, I'm sure there's a double-dip (at least) planned, just like TFA.

Nono. No 4K, no HDR content. Why spend £££. I will keep my 50 Digihome TV which cost me £299 and still working over 2 years.
Is Panasonic the only big player still making 3D TVs?

Poor backlight for this price I would spend a bit more for oled.
OLED isn't the be all everyone thinks it is...Yes the Ink blacks are nice but in the real world of day to day TV viewing having seen several current Gen sets demo'ed I was a little disappointed with the amount of tearing during fast motion and lack of sharpness on 4k source compared to some current gen high end LED's .
burn in appears to be raising it's head as an issue on some models as well....
You clearly don't own an OLED do you ,all of the things you have mentioned are complete non issues

Nope I don't own an OLED TV...so I don't need to justify my purchase, if you read my comment again you'll see I stated my observations were based on demonstrations. OLED might well be the TV technology saviour we are all waiting for however the current Gen sets from LG in the Demo's I have witnessed didn't impress me that much...certainly not enough to make me want to pay the premium over the top end LED's from Samsung. Perhaps as others have said it's down to LG's poor post processing chipset, I'm hoping this is the case and Samsung, Panasonic and Sony can deliver better with OLED panelled sets

I think the burn on the newer models is pretty sorted. Many people seem fine with the motion handling but I haven't personally watched an Oled set for long enough to comment. In my opinion Its not worth spending more than 600-700 on a non-oled set unless it has FALD.

+1 for this comment... AND......OLED is the be all and end all actually, it's LG's picture processing software that lets them down. I have no doubt whatsoever the Panasonic and Sony Oleds coming out later this year will be superior to LGs (despite them using the same panel) but they will be well over £3000 minimum when they release. Screen burn is very very rare and not like the plasmas of old, you can run a display refresh to remove it in the small chance you get it. Plus get one from richersounds with a 6 year warranty negates this argument.

Panasonic is really pushing the "tuned in hollywood" marketing as a USP for their tellies, where were they tuned last year? The amazon rainforest? Don't believe the bullcrap

Yep it is in pretty bad nick if its the same one i went there to try to repair a couple of weeks ago. How they could accept a customer return back in that condition is beyond me.

Might have been a return due to the crack. Having followed the threads on AVForums, some peoples boxes have turned up in pretty poor condition. Although I think those were all from Currys.

Edited By: Mentos on Feb 18, 2017 20:35
"Apparently there is a 65" version as well."

Is that also cracked? And what was the price on the 65"?
Apparently their 5 year guarantee won't include the screen!
admando
Ok I just asked my dad and I quote:
Yeah. Thanks for the tip but it didn't look very safe. The crack was only about nine inches across the top left corner of the support glass at the rear of the screen. But I didn't think it was worth the gamble. Annoying, they wouldn't send me a picture or tell me over the phone where the damage was.
I guess they want it sold so not being very helpful remotely. Very unlike JL as you say.
Thanks for the reply. I hope to get up there to see it myself but in the mean time I am ending this thread although at -316 degrees and counting it's pretty much dead already LoL.

Am I right in thinking this one doesn't meet HDR premium spec (not that sony use it)
You're looking at twice the price or more for a real HDR TV at 65"
The W80C/W85C is Sony's top of the range Full HD TV from last year, it's aimed at the best quality for everyday content rather than featuring cutting edge hardware that's not supported by most content yet.
Maevoric
1080p (full HD) so not 4k and HDR (High Dynamic Range ie deeper colours) wouldn't be present either
That's incorrect. Sony's new WE75 for example is Full HD and HDR (well, wide gamut and HDR format support).
Didn't realise this was 1080p, just assumed being a grand it was 4k.
No spank you. Have seen albeit smaller oled 1080 sets for this price.
Not really relevant, everything 65" and above carries a huge price premium.

It's relevant if you value picture quality over size which I imagine if you're spending a grand you probably (should) do.

Anyway, deal's bombed as I thought it would.

Actually, HDR isn't tied to resolution, and Sony are bringing HDR to many of their 1080p sets.

I got my Wii U three years ago with the intention of buying this game but I could never could bring myself to pay the £40 price tag on Amazon when it was already a year old. For the same reasons I don't no why I've got the Switch Pre-Ordered when the games are all got to be ridiculously overpriced and not reduced till basically a new system is almost out.
Bought this during the last deal. I would recommend it if you haven't already had the chance to play it.

good price..i'm currently stocking up 3d movies to watch on psvr so thanks for posting.
But the PSVR doesn't support 3d BluRays?
Just announced this week that the next update will include 3D film support on psvr.

hooray! Although I guess that means a reduction in quality ...

resolution probaly won't be as good as a 3d tv but beta testers are saying that the 3d effect is really impressive...can't wait to try it for myself

Now this is interesting because my Blu Ray 3D version doesn't include the 2D version!

so it's probably a mistake saying 3D Blu-ray + Bluray

They released a 3D Blu-ray and 2D Blu-ray version after people complained about the 3D only release, if you emailed them you got a replacement along with Despicable Me 2 as a goodwill gesture.

There was quite a large window to get replacements, so they may still be doing it.
Shame sold out
Sold out. Nice to know that there are other avid 3D blu ray collectors out there.

Now this is interesting because my Blu Ray 3D version doesn't include the 2D version!

the 3D version of Jurassic World is one disc. its 3D and 2D on the same disc. think this was mainly done, because they had released a box set with the Jurassic Park movies which left space for Jurassic World to be added when it came out but they only left space for one disc.

A few 3D movies have the 2D version on the same disc, Dredd 3D does for example aswell as Walking with Dinosaurs.

so it's probably a mistake saying 3D Blu-ray + Bluray

My copy has separate discs for 3d and 2d . There was two releases for 3d for this title.

£699 now.
Ok got mine on Friday. - I had already ordered days before the post :{ and was s***ing myself until it turned up. Anyway it arrived in perfect condition and its a fantastic TV for the money. Although I will always wish it was a 55KS7000. Note that the guys that deliver it unpack it and inspect it with you so best to wait for delivery yourself and not get your wife who has no interest in it to wait in.

I think its crazy to get the extended warenty, for the added cost you may as well get new and get 5 years warenty. I normally change my TV every 2-3 years so 5 year warranty is no big deal.

I have been told by Panasonic that these refurbs could be anything from a 14 day return (distance selling regs) , damaged box, ex display or simply opened and seal broken for various other reasons such as to swap the remote with one that was broken in store for a customer return. 12 mth collect and return Warranty provided on these, so outside of a few such as Jl and RS the warranty is pretty much the same you would get if buying new from the likes of Argos or Currys.
These are £300 cheaper than current new price so if it does make you feel happier you could extend the warranty by another two years for less £140 with D&G which also includes accidental cover from day 1
I thought you had to take it to a authorised repair centre or pay for courier. I'm sure it says that on the eBay listing. I will buy it if that's the case

This is the reply I got back from them, but maybe worth confirming this yourself before purchasing

Hello,

You get a one year warranty with this item and if this is faulty then we can collect free of charge and if it is unwanted you get up to 60 days for a refund or exchange. After the 60 days it will only be a repair.

These are £300 cheaper than current new price so if it does make you feel happier you could extend the warranty by another two years for less £140 with D&G which also includes accidental cover from day 1

i wonder if there is an easy way to see if a laptop has the required slot? Lenovo is ambiguous about its existence in my laptop.
What laptop do you have?
Lenovo 500isk (no y yoga or other additives).
Doesn't say anywhere that it supports M.2 drives. Only says up to 2 TB HDD / up to 1 TB SSHD.
Thats as far as i got but when installing an SSD in place of the hard drive i noticed 3 slots of which one was populated by a WiFi/Bluetooth expansion so presumably it is PCIe the other two slots are similar and have lines silk-screened on the motherboard the size of these cards however since i have never inspected a M2 slot or card up close i am just unsure and since Lenovo does not list it as an option in my opinion its a case of being lucky and have a working interface or having one crippled by Lenovo to be able to sell more models of laptops. It must be possible to get a readout of the present slots and their current occupation i just dont know how.

Is there a spare antenna wire going to one of the vacant slots, it could be for a WWAN card (3G/4G LTE), even if the antenna isn't there it could still be a slot for the WWAN card if that motherboard is also used in a model of laptop that has the card (Probably a sim slot on the motherboard somewhere if this is the case)

no such luck and that would only account for one out of the two empty and according to Lenovo non existing slots.

im no expert but don't ssd performance drop significantly as more data is written to it? so in theory this used ssd could be running at well below advertised speeds. And £66 for 275gb is hardly a big saving for an item that's been used.

Not with TRIM.

Could you not contact their support team and get a definitive answer?

I did and they deny their being any expansion slots at all even though they begrudgingly admit that even though they are not listed they might well be there and work properly though advice me not to use them because they might be crippled.

I am not all that familiar with current day tech and corporate policies but remember well from the 90's and early millenial systems i owned or tinkered with that sometimes setting jumper or dipswitches could gain more features normally reserved for more expensive systems. IE i owned a Phillips TV card (analog) that could do video capturing if a jumper was set and a rca connector connected to its io pins but cost half the price as the one that did this out of the box or boxes in which CPUs used external cache which turned out to be soldered on to the main board but was only available after a reflash of the systems firmware.

In short i shall investigate but nothing will really surprise me.

Used SSD? No thanks, unless it tells you the endurance/life/TBW remaining.
There's probably a good reason why so many returns are being resold as used...
Way overthinking it.
Still running spinning rust HDDs with over 50,000 hours, working like a champ. Backup/Image data regularly and don't put yourself in a situation where if a drive dies you lose everything and save dollar in the process. If anything SSDs would last Longer and M.2 is a relatively new technology, I doubt they've been hammered in a corporate file server 24/7.

"Tell me how many days you have ridden this bike & how long on average it should last. Pfft, used, that means other people have used this thing and are selling it?! There must be a problem!"

Terrible movie. Worst one I saw last year

Save your time & money, avoid this one
No more main stream TVs to be built with 3D, it has essentially been dropped. My Sony TV came with 3D function and specs, I tried Hugo in 3D and Jurrasic Park, gave up on both after about 5mins, did my head in
This movie is dark and ugly enough in 2D, couldn't imagine watching it in 3D
Shame about the movie
what are we, some kind of suicide squad...

I returned one of these about 2 years ago. Very very poor quality, no bass what so ever. Sound is just total abysmal, shame really because it looks nice.

Did you try this solution?

"You may follow the steps on the manual page 40 and 41 on how to Set the Speakers.

To adjust the speaker Level, just select LEVEL as shows on page 41. You can adjust the sound level of the speakers and set the parameters from –6.0 dB to +6.0 dB. the underlined figures are the default settings."

Hey, yeah I tried everything. I had an lg cinema system that I had before I bought one of these, which I had to adjust the bass and rear speakers volume. So... i tried sound modes, turning up the bass to max on the menu and it still sounded awful. I saw mixed reviews when I bought this a few years ago, maybe a large quantity of them where faulty? The bass was just so quite, I've bought £25 before and they where better than this.

Bought the 50 inch version of this last year. Pretty disappointed with the picture to be honest. Tried changing the settings but just not sharp enough, even on HD sources.

I had an uf850 for a few weeks last year, (it went back due to crap 3D.) To get the best picture I turned all of the processing settings including sharpness off or to 0. I then got a clean picture but was still lacking detail, (compared to my plasma along side.) The one setting that brought back the detail was super resolution set to high.

Totally agree, if you want 3D you must buy NOW as LG have stopped making 3D. Just got the OLED C6 and the 3D is absolutely amazing, (like it should have been in 2011 when 3D TV's came out.) Give me great 3D over 4K and HDR any day.

Made of pewter which can easily dent.

Do not scrub with a brush as pewter is a soft material

Do not allow wine and fruit juices to remain overnight

I know it is meant more for an ornament as it isn't so practical to be used as a drinking vessel.

Plenty of pukka plastic ones around for similar money.

I spent a fiver on a cardboard headset. Yes I could have spent £15 or so for a plastic one but I wanted to actually try it and find out what the fuss was about. I liked it and then bought a Gear VR. I'd sooner drop less than a fiver on one of the cardboard units to try it than one of the plastic ones which would wind up being equally as unused once I went for the Gear VR. And same for anyone considering a Rift or Vive, it's a cheap trial of what it's like.

Just 5 must have games? That's harsh on the Wii U, even the non Nintendo playing Wii U bashers normally say 10 :)
I would say it has 10-15 games worth playing, but not 10 games that you must play before you die :)

Xenoblade, splatoon, bayonetta 2, windwaker HD, Mario maker, Mario super 3d world, smash bros , Mario kart, pikmin 3, wonderful 101, Lego city undercover.
Windwaker HD, Bayonetta 2, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8 and Pikmin 3. I bought my Wii-U back in 2014 and this was my experience. Breath of the Wild will make it 6 games that were worth playing. No regrets.
Splatoon, Wonderful 101, Star Fox and Donkey Kong might get added to the list but i fear i will never get round to playing them or may never take the risk.
Splatoon is really good, haven't tried donkey Kong or Star fox but they look ok. I like Nintendo but I think they could be finished with consoles after the switch. The console looks great , doesn't bother me that it's underpowered compared to the competition. Zelda looks amazing IMO. But I think they have a cheek charging full whack for Mario kart again. Anyone that has a Wii u has already played it to death . And the accessory prices are extertionate. Why can't they hire more people to create some new material, instead of the same old games with a new like of paint

MM customer service is excellent. Any time I've had a problem they either replace or refund without any issue. They sell, literally, millions of discs, you're going to get some that don't fit the description, but it's how a company deal with problems that's the real test of how good they are.

Thanks OP, nice find.

Err... no. But I didn't actually say that did I?

Many of these cheap Chinese tv boxes and smartphones have malware loaded .. be careful inputting personal data on these things ...

Anyone thinking of purchasing this box dont, you wants at least 2GB Ram and Android 6.0 if poss
Android 5 is still stable so I wouldn't even say that.
As for this SoC I'm not sure I'd touch Rockchip.
Thats why i say If Poss, however with kodi 17.0 not compatible with android 4.4 it makes sense to get a box with the latest version available that way you futureproof your box

the last two stages are extremely hard, great amount of play time though
Still wanting to get a wii u for games like this, to play with my kids. We have original wii currently and games like Super Mario Bros Wii are great. Shame it is currently difficult to get hold of a brand new Wii U at a good price. Probably have to get a second hand console.

If it's anything like mario galaxy it's probably gonna be super easy and tedious. Mario Galaxy is so overrated it makes no sense, next to no improvements since mario 64.. Mario odyssey has finally made some improvements like an open world (took em long enough) but even that game looks 10 years old already.

its one of the highest rated games in history, and rightly so , douchebag

I've just bought on eBay a used Mario kart 8 premium wii u console plus official pro controller. physical games Mario kart/zelda twilight princess/super smash bros/zombiu/super Mario 3d world/ and 3 games on the system wind waker hd/monster hunter 3/shovel knight for £225 delivered.

great deal, best console!!
They had this on the shelf at Sainsburys before Christmas for £17.99 but when I took it to the counter to pay it went through as £14.65! Bargain. I only bought the Wii U to play this game as me and my wife loved playing Super Mario Sunshine, Galaxy & Galaxy 2 and wanted another game to play like them. Also bought Super Mario Bros. U as well which is good, but for some reason Mario runs a lot slower than in 3D World.

It's rubbish. Everything's so blurry and my pixel xl refuses to stay stuck to the suction pads for more than a minute maximum.
they have sold out... this nightmare has ended :|

oO -70°! am I missing something?!

Totally agree Mrcyco, most of these don't include the magnet for Cardboard control. This one does, for £5 I can't see how you can go wrong?
