When I open my computer, the disk drive does not show. I cannot run any disks and when I try to restore it does not work (tried 6 different dates).

Read somewhere it might have something to do with itunes? Any techies know how to fix this?

My Dell D410 laptop has become a bit sluggish in the past few months and I'm looking to improve it.

I upgraded the memory a while ago from 512mb to 2 GB but I can't say it's made much of a difference in performance. I want to upgrade the hard drive from 40GB to something over 250 GB...I'm tired of more...
