Stopped at my local shop earlier today and bought 8 batteries for £2.69, i.e. less than 34 pence per battery. Probably nationwide, can be found at the front counter together with all other batteries on sale.

Just popped into my local B&Q and they had a duracell offer on AA and AAA, both at £5.85 for 18, which seemed a great deal as on the till they had a 8 pack for £6!!!

However I shall prepare myself for being shot down!

This seems a good deal for 8 Duracell batteries. I know it's discontinued but it's still available to reserve and collect at a number of stores.

Walking round Asda last night and picked up a few of these for Christmas Presents I've Bought People.
Ticket price is £1 but goes through til at 98p with the VAT Reduction.
They were placed in large "bins" in our store in Liverpool, but they were by the other batteries also
