it says further in when ordering that in store collection isn't available for this product.
great price for the product just not with the added postage cost
Maybe it depends on the store?....mine will be instore tomorrow from 12 midday but I'll be a rebel and pick it up on Thursday!
I'm in Hampshire, picking up from fareham and it's a medium sized store I think
Instore delivery is available if you choose a date nearer to Xmas.

It wouldn't work at all for me in November, but when I tried 18th Dec just on the off chance, it accepted it.
cant wait for these to be 10p on january 2nd

Thanks...does this have a recommended age given or not?
It has the standard "not suitable for children under 36 months". I've bought it for a 4 year old but could easily see kids up to about 7-8 playing with it

Would buying a Spektrum DX4e of ebay be the best thing to do with this?

Shops only sell the 5 channel version for some reason but all the aeroplanes are 4 channel?

Been wanting to get the spitfire for years!

ah the Spitfire.....What a beautiful work of art 8)
If only this came with a good transmitter..
Hope to see some more RC plane deals in the future.

Been wanting to get the spitfire for years!
Anyone buying in Birmingham area happy to introduce you into the hobby.

I have parkzone Trojan which im teaching my 7 yr old to fly. Also have dx7 tx x 2 and buddy lead. If you fancy a go to see for yourself what you need to get to grips with. The Trojan has wheels which is good for not needing a throw. This is a very agile model also.

Likewise for the Oxford area. Heck, you can even fly any of my trainers with a buddy lead. If you show an inate ability to control them then you're welcome to try my P51D and compare the differences... X)

FWIW I do sometimes fly in my local park, but only when there are no other people about. It's about the size of two football pitches (actually, there are exactly two football pitches on it) and it can be a handful. By the time someone comes along with a dog (they love these things!) it's too late to worry about getting out of the way - it'll be toast within seconds of coming within reach of enthusiastic gnashers... oO
Haha i dont live in a paper house in any case i have 7 acres of land which is all mine, good luck to anyone trying to fly in a residential area :-P

Nice, now invite all the buyers to come and fly on your 7 acres rather than trying to fly this in a public area.

Let's hope that lipo battery stays nice and safe.
Good luck with the 27 MHz basic tx

If you have bought one do yourself a favour, find the biggest empty field that you can, do not fly too low, range check the transmitter.

A microlight could be either the one which has the pod and hangs under the hang gliding style wing or it could be a more traditional looking aircraft that operates under the microlight rules. Either are a great fun experience so he should enjoy it anyway. Just make sure you get the full 1hr flying that this voucher was for and not a 20 minute quicky flight. In 1hr he should have time to go to a general handling area and learn to turn the aircraft and do some climb and descent manouvres. This will give him a better feel for it than the 20 minute "sight seeing" quickies that don't let you get much hands on time.
I bought this deal (January 2012) for my husband's birthday. He has booked it for 2 weeks time but I see it is not with Hinton but with Formby microlight.

Does this mean he is going in a microlight as opposed to a 2 seater light aircraft. I am confused or have we been conned?

Has anyone else used their deal and was all ok?
I had a problem with this in that they booked me in for a weekend flight but then said they had overbooked and wouldn't be able to do a weekend until June, by which time I would be out of the country! I told Mighty Deals I wanted a refund and they refunded it within a few days so they were pretty good for that.
Sorry to hear that. Was the voucher for this 1hr flight experience? Have you tried to contact Hinton Flight Training? If you bought on your credit card then just make a charge back through your credit card company and you should get the money back.
Hi there, just to let people know I to purchased a voucher from mighty deals and have had a similar experience,no correspondence from them, not answering emails ect
Think I've been had for £175
My advice would be to stay well clear of Mighty Deals as there a totally uprofessional outfit
Any company that cannot be reached by phone should ring alarm bells.Never have I had such poor service in all my years of buying goods from the net
Find out at your own peril.

Anyone know how easy it is to park ?

There's a park-and-ride system at one end of the seafront (should be signposted). Around the town there's pay and display parking, but they will obviously fill up quickly. Also if you want a view from higher up, I think they open a car park on Beachy Head, overlooking the seafront.

Thanks for this mate

i got this for xmas, its brilliant! theres paper airplanes all over my flat, i cant bring myself to throw them away
Got one of these from at £3.99 in their post Xmas clearout and it arrived in one piece as they packed it better than another one which got scrunched in transit!

As mentioned it's rather good : the back of each day's calendar page has a very colourful/lined/marked-out "plane pattern" on it ready for you to fold it into a miniature plane next day.

Aeroplane Headphone Adaptor - "Never buy in flight headphones again!" - £2.95 Delivered @ Qfonic

It's just a small, cheap little adaptor that may help or benefit someone during or before going on holiday.

It may not be amongst all the other problems in the world, just like automatic can openers, ipod cases, fridge stickers, wheelie bin art.

It's all made for people to buy if they damn well want to and will enjoy using it.
loooooooooooool......Now thats what I call a bargain, I hope the adaptor works fine.....I've never had to pay for headphones on a flight, and I've travelled quite abit..Head Phones that they provide work fantasticaly, if I ever do have a problem I'll just ask for more. I didnt know this was amongst the millions of other Problems in the world.
Obviously each flight operator varies, but every single flight I have been on required a purchase of standard in flight headphones of around £2. They were plastic big chunky earclip things which were terrible, so for £2.95 delivered to my door I can enjoy my own headphones that I wear all the time on my flight.

Cold too some it seems, (a stonking BAD cold score atm?! jeez I didn't think it was that bad!)
but hot to those who can use it and benefit.

I've never been offered the adapter on a flight ever, and the only ones i saw in poundland were 2 headphone splitter adaptors that look similar.

Hope some of you make use of it!
every flight i have been on except virgin i have had to buy headphones i think they charge £3.00 per set
also, any in-flight headset i have been given always has a detachable adapter. so you can always use your own headphones with the airlines adapter

Hobbyzone Aerobird 3 radio control aircraft/plane model £47.99 inc delivery @ Daniel Stores

I bought a firebird a couple of years ago. They are great fun but you really need 3 channels ( like this aerobird has) to give sufficient control to get you out of trouble.

And a word of warning.
First time you fly one, make sure its on a day with NO wind. Its tricky at first and any wind makes a big difference.

I am tempted to buy one of these. I have been looking at wing dragons at around £50, but the aerobird is very similar.
Very tempted indeed, but just bought 2 of the indestructables and this looks like a non pro would break it easy!

(I've smashed 3 already of other planes!!)
Just watched 2 mins of a youtube vid where a guy takes one up into the clouds!!!!!

Bargain, my nephew will love it.

Cold... I actually sell them for £2 inc P&P on eBay.... so its actually quite a lot cheaper if I buy them off myself xD

Plus I get a discount if I buy more than one. Self service FTW lol
Update: Still In Stock
I nearly always go with basic cheapo flight so I rarely get a movie.
This kind of adaptor came with several different pairs of headphones I have bought over the years, including the noise-cancelling ones I bought for flying. It seems a bit dear for what it is.
these were £1.50 instore in asda a couple of months ago
