Can be had for less on Amazon in various guises - paid £35 for a blue one and worth about that but not much more.

Okay for a child i guess for the price but not for me.

Why would you want to upset a child by giving them this cheap no name brand rubbish, the kid will be in tears when the device fails to operate, which it will.

They ask for payment details as Google Play counts it as a transaction.

They won't take any money as the value for this track (& the other 20+ free tracks I've previously downloaded) is £0.00.

I've just "purchased" this for free...

Ditto. I never knew Google did free tracks each week until I started using this site a few months ago. Funny how the other free Google Play tracks previously posted never got cold votes that I saw. Oh well, it's free! I got mine. Let the voters vote however they wish. No sleep will be lost on my part. Hope those that downloaded it enjoyed it.

No idea why they do that for the freebies. But I have my card stored on that app and it always seems to locate my card as the payment method, even if the amount is £0.00

I've never been charged or had a 'ghost payment' (deduction of £1 which returns days later) taken for a music freebie on Play if it's of any reassurance for those using it for the first time.

Thanks but I'll give it a miss.

ive been looking at nexus 7 and google note 8 on 3g anyone know when new nexus 7 is coming out ive been on loads of forums and theyrell all saying next month

Everyone was expecting them to show off the next Nexus tabs at the Google IO last week on the 15th, but they didn't.
I think they're waiting for Apple to make a move before showing off anything.
Nobody knows when they'll be releasing their next gen devices, though I would imagine it to be in the next few months (prior to sept).

depends what you are looking for, i don't care too much about the difference in performance but wanted the larger screen.

Yeah, I've been going for bigger screens in the past but am starting to think those advocating smaller screens are right, especially now I do virtually all my browsing on a nexus 7, just want a phone for communication and sat nav while out riding my bike, which has to be voice turn by turn, so why do I need a large screen. Doesn't look so good in the pocket of my shorts either.

I'm one of those odd people who hasn't got a tablet yet - I use my phone to surf while commuting and my current 3.2" screen is just a little small. I got the Xperia J as an cheap upgrade and paid a little less that this (£80)
when people say they are outdated what do they mean? I mean what can you do on a new phone I can't do on my old HTC Desire? Serious question.
It'd be nice to see them do some offers ost the SP & L when it turns up. I'm veering towards the L now mainly due to it being that wee bit smaller and the removable battery. I've learned the hard way about soldered batteries.
Just wish the specs were a bit closer... Yo can't have it all though!
Poor deal as the J is seriously outdated and laggy.

I have one of these watches and whilst i think the concept is great but in practice it has had a few problems, I would warn people that the app that is required to sync with the phone on iOS is very basic at the moment and due to API levels of iOS 6 (with the app having stability issues aswell) causes the bluetooth connection to drop at any point when the phone is locked or if the app is closed in memory management. This is meant to be fixed shortly or when iOS 7 is released but it has been an issue which has stopped me using the watch daily.

Xperia P is a great phone for those who want something smaller. My wife changed from a GS2 to this, and much prefers the smaller size. The screen is much better than the GS2's, and the Xperia P has a great quality feel.

If you want a small, good android phone, I'm not sure you'll do much better than this, unless lack of removable storage & battery is important to you.

o dear after reading that about the prestigio i have just ordered the 4044 duo i hope im not dissapointed
Da11as
Well! I have placed my order for the Prestigio 5" Duo now, so we will see how that performs when it turns up next week. lol

The Prestigio comes with a 2 year warranty and is backed with the safety net of buying from UK retailer Woolworths (Very) etc.

I will let you all know how the Prestigio performs. :)
Yeah! thanks 'Solid' I have had a quick look regarding the Lenovo A830, seems to be very promising in the reviews I've read. The only concern I have is the warranty issue and after-sales support, as with the Prestigio bought from Woolworths I have the security being able to return for refund etc.

Woolworths have already booked a collection for Monday and the usual upto 10/14 days for refund back to card etc.

Its a real shame the Prestigio was a non runner :( the search is now back on for a 4", 4.5" or 5" Dual sim phone with a brand name from a known UK retailer...................... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! doesn't look promising though.

Edited By: Da11as on Jun 06, 2013 23:51
Sorry to hear that, Da11as

...just as an aside, I'm hearing nothing but good things about the Lenovo A830... it certainly looks like its everything you want, although the price is slightly more...

Hope you get your refund easily :-)
Well good news and bad news................ The phone arrive today :) I was well happy!..........................

However! :(

The Prestigio 5000 is not very good quality, I unpacked the phone with glee only to set eyes on a wonky Prestigio badge and logo on rear of phone. Its been printed at a slant/wonk (not straight), it totally makes the phone look cheap and tacky.

It doesn't stop there! The ear-piece speaker is very faint, its not very clear (useless when making a call).

I am so sad, I have been looking forward to this phone, been waiting 3 weeks. To be honest I don't think I will accept a replacement as the phone does feel very cheaply made, very thin plastic body-shell, but at the same time the phone is very heavy to hold. oO

It does have an extremely large battery which must add to the weight of the phone and I would imagine would run the phone for a good amount of time, which would be a bonus. But still! it does feel cheap and poorly made, such a shame. Also the user interface is rubbish, quite basic and boring (seems Prestigio forgot the tweaks).

Oh! and the phone comes with a 2 pin EU charger oO ....................... but! I did find a UK 3 pin adapter thrown in the jiffy bag at the bottom. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Will be returning!

Much better than huawei g510
I've had this phone for almost a week now, and it has been excellent so far. The dual SIM functionality, its major USP, works like a dream, and with a little bit of care and planning the battery use is fine. I think I may invest in some sort of battery backup option - I think there are now some good options out there to help with this (time for some research.)

if you have both sims in the phone are they both active at the same time?

IE you can receive calls on both numbers? obviously at different times...
Any other dual sim adapter I have seen just allows 1 sim to be used at a time, most people that have them would be people that travel a lot and they would have 1 international sim and 1 home sim.

This review of the E1 gives more details about how the two SIMs can both operate together:

these are ok (got a clear and back one) but you do end up with a lot of dust/crap gathering betwwen the case&phone at the sides.
Also they do eventually push the corners off any full size screen protector you have on.

Gone naked with mine...
Got one. The case is fine and the stylus is good
My screen protector was missing the cutout for the proximity sensor so it meant that every time I received a call I couldn't get the screen to respond. so i've done without it since.
Still worth some heat though for the case alone.
Nice find have had these s line covers on other phones.Have to agree with the ghostbuster though I have the Ringke fusion cover on my nexus so you can see the back .hot anyways :)
Personally would go for The poetic bumper which is regularly reduced to £6.95 which doesn't distract from the sheer beauty of the phone but good for a budget cover especially with the screen protector which sometimes are 99p alone.

SFJnetBy my calculations it works out at almost exactly the same as if you got the Tmobile deal for £89 up front and £26 per month, except that on Tmobile you get 500 minutes and unlimited data. Horses for courses I suppose...
Link please?
Try this which is first on the list when you search Galaxy S4 in HUKD - there are others and I'm sure good new deals will come along regularly...

Mods, Please unexpire the thread, the deal is back on. Thanks.
Most people vote cold because they think it's a Tab2 rather than a Note and they assume we'll all time travellers and could get it cheaper if we went back in time.

Reduced to 69p.

Tried to post as a new deal but was unable to.
Voted cold for misleading and stupid title/description.
I don't think you realise how sonic games work
There's the button to move sonic and a jump button and that's literally it. You can resize the buttons if they're too small
hillcraig87
how are the controls? workable? (im using a HTC One X )

Personally I gave up buying games designed with a controller in mind on touch screen devices - Sonic games through to GTA vice city, just become unplayable, half screen hidden due to your thuumbs covering it, and really unresponsive / lack of feedback controls make any previously great game poor.

The biggest joke is fighting games like street fighter 4 - you cant progress pass button bashing, forget complicated combos completely

So in short - its good for nostalgia only.
Full version of TomTom UK & Northern Ireland also upgrading free, wow!!!

(full cost £59.99)

PROS: The cheapest, by far, 3G tablet!

CONS: Everything else really...

For me the single core processor, the 512MB of RAM and the lousy screen are a showstopper.

I used this at the weekend at Creamfields and I wasn't that impressed. the reviews say 8 charges but you can forget that.

I got got 1.5 charges to my nexus 4 and 50% charge into an iPhone4.

Still saved me a tenner paying to charge it at one of the vendors.

I'm doing the Coast2Coast this weekend so i'll be taking it with me then and seeing if it performs any better.

I find it ridiculous how posting something from Amazon no matter where the seller is located it's not a problem, but when posting something from eBay all of a sudden people think 'scam' and 'fake' even though they're both from the same place and are the exact same item, and even at times the exact same seller but still it's not allowed even if it's a deal it'll get flagged.

Hope somebody cares to explain why this is, it really doesn't make sense. I might as well do the same. Amazon all the way.

You're right. Amazon is stuffed full of fakes. Amazon know that full well but do absolutely nothing to stop it. Why would they, though - it's increasing their profits and they've shown very clearly from their tax strategies how far you can trust them. :(

I should've posted since buying this. Yeah I managed three charges at a push after going through about 5 charge cycles of the battery pack. I emailed to seller and it didn't say anything when I questioned its actual capacity but rather just told me to send it back for a refund.

Rather naff. Sorry if anyone bought this but I would send it back and get an anker pack instead.
About 5 of us bought these for Glasonbury and I can confirm they are ****.

Got about 1 and a bit charges to my iPhone and was completely dead.

I was just thinking if a case would be a good idea for this tablet. I hate the idea of buying extra accessories but I don't want this break from minor knocks or a drop.
Coolhotdeals
Have you dropped it and did it survive?

I'm a bit scared about that happening :)

Considering the specs of the Iconia, and the quality of the screen, the fact it really does feel like a plastic toy is quite off-putting a lot of the time
Just received mine. First impressions, the plastic feels really cheap and creaks with tiniest pressure from holding it. The power button and the volume button feels just like toy buttons and is quite loose. However the screen is quite sharp and bright. The touchscreen is very responsive to touch, unlike cheaper tablets. The performance of the system is quite good. Webpages loads reasonably fast. I like it but it feels quite fragile.

Any users out there can tell me if the tablet isn't as fragile as I think it is? Have you dropped it and did it survive?
ok, i'm happy again .. Acer confirmed that Very are an approved retailer .. just have to wait until the 13th of June before i can submit the claim ..
same ..

just found out that Very is not one of the qualifying retailers for f'n cashback from Acer .. main reason I bought the f'n thing .. :(
