Postage is £2.50, but you can buy up to 10 items per order. Good compared to say the Amazon Marketplace where 1 DVD/blu-ray is £1.26 del.

The only unexpected thing that could happen about the Hobbit is that Peter Jackson coulndn't have made it a chore.
Although my luck in poundland stores has been rather variable; this is one item I've noticed in a few - in case you have one nearby and would prefer a new copy.

Back in stock, 2 available.
I bought 2 280x''s from them before this deal was posted. Both work fine.
Just as a precaution for anyone, last week I bought a 7850 from them and it arrived completely dead. Took it back to the closest store (15 miles away) and to be fair I got a PayPal refund immediately. So I decided to try my luck with a 280x. That was dead too. Taking it back tomorrow. You've got more chance of getting a working product from eBay from a seller with 0 feedback.

Hell no, it's coming up to summer and this beast will be screaming like a banshee.

Decent TIM, applied sparingly, after a good clean with isopropyl alcohol, will drop temps by a fair few degrees 8)

Nice - just ordered the last one. Was looking to upgrade card and didnt want to spend too much. 2 year warranty is better than you get from manufacturers generally !

It's a 2-year CeX warranty which means they will consider it working if you plug it in and the fan spins and then won't honour the warranty. Honestly, if it works fine then you've got a bargain but good luck if you ever need to claim on warranty from them.

Has it got Nougat? I've got the ultra 6 and took ages to get marshmallow.
No, but apparently you can using a custom rom.
Also, I'll amend the title to say unlocked as the Vodafone thing might be putting a few people off :)
Are you sure about that? I wonder if you've just googled 'Smart Platinum 7 Nougat' and come across one of those sites that says 'Good news to everyone!' Followed by links to some dodgy, unrelated software that will probably steal your data.
As far as I know there's no way to install a custom ROM on the Smart Platinum 7 as it has a locked bootloader.
Yes I read the Nougat update thing but certainly wouldn't be putting on my device. Its likely to take Vodafone sometime before they release Nougat for this device and I rather wait for that than try anything else. At least if anything goes wrong with their update you have some form of comeback.
Those sites are scams. They don't offer Nougat updates at all - it's just a means of getting people to click on a site that bombards them with adverts and then tries to get the visitor to download a file in three parts that will probably litter their PC with spyware and/or viruses.
Fair enough, I just did a quick google and came up with those sites - didn't dig any further.
I still think it's a decent deal in that you can't get many better specced phones for the money from a UK seller with a good guarantee. But I'm in the minority this time!

Wasn't having a go by the way, just think it's important to let people know that these sites are dodgy! Yes it's a good price, though I'm inclined to think the Lenovo P2 is a better buy overall.

IDK, are you trying to say this post is not going to help anyone at all then?
No I'm saying that at all. I'm just saying that I think it has been at this price for a while, I've just looked at the copy of it I bought from Grainger games two years ago and it has an £8 sticker on it. I think it's likely stayed at that price since then, I was just making a remark that's all.

Wish HUKD would do something about nonsense posts like this. Either back it up with a link or don't do people's heads in because you've got a staff discount at the coffee shop in the garden centre next to Nintendo HQ.

Yep, staff discount that's why I didn't post it as a deal. Was out of stock anyway by the time I saw the deal. I'll await the HUKD police to come and lock me up.

Where from?!

I get staff discount from where I work, but didn't realise it was out of stock when I posted. I dare say that CEX will drop the price when there is stock available.
I love how the hate on the Switch's price is coming from the same people who are more than willing to shell out £60 annually for a re-skinned CoD/BF or roster-updated FIFA + the in-game purchases.
Kirbish
Not wanting to join the flaming wars because they are pointless, but just thought I would add my 2 cents.

I am far from a Nintendo fanboy as I hated what they did with the Wii U and honestly thought they were losing it. There are also numerous things that I dislike about the Switch - awful online services (using smartphones for chat, wtf!), expensive games and peripherals etc.

That being said, I bought a Switch. For one, it is a console that still wants you to play together in one room, which is pretty rare on other consoles where splitscreen gaming has basically disappeared. Being able to play the same games on my TV and on the go is also nice. I didn't like handhelds previously as when I got home I wanted to be playing games on my TV, not a tiny screen. This lets me get home and carry on my games on the big screen. The Indie support for the Switch is also really nice with numerous really cool titles coming out soon.

It is certainly not for everyone, and is not a direct competitor to dedicated home consoles, but for me it fills a space. I am looking forward to doing split screen Mario Kart, while also being able to do races on the bus on my way to work against AI. Or maybe a few mins of an indie game. And when I have a long journey I can bust out some Zelda.

Anyway, that's about it, not trying to insult anyone, just saying that I feel the Switch was a worthwhile purchase. For the record, my other console is an Xbox One.

Its not flaming wars. it's one oddball who's turbo posting on a shopping website about his inexplicable hatred for a games console.

back in stock at smyths for £10 home delivery... be quick!!
Thanks for the heads-up on this, I was heading in my nearest city today so I popped into Cex and bought the only copy they had.

Of course finding time to actually play it is the problem, so many fantastic games out lately I'm already playing, especially open world ones! I'm currently loving Horizon Zero Dawn :)
If you liked the scale of the new Zelda just wait till you're roaming around this vast alien world in an invincible flying mech suit! Such an epic sci-fi adventure with hundreds of hours of gameplay. One of Wii U's finest.
Marcoos
Heard a lot of good things about this but never tried it, sequel due for the Switch I believe?
So what's this like? Especially curious about combat, is it turn based? Anything it can be compared to?

Kind of but not really. There was a game on the Wii called Xenoblade Chronices. The Switch game is a sequel to that. This one is by the same developer and shares a lot in common gameplay wise but is set in completely different world with different characters.

The combat isn't turn based but it isn't really actiony either. It is very similar to the combat in an MMO. You can move around freely, you automatically do a basic attack when in range and you pick from various skills that are on cooldown timers.

For a Nintendo title, I'm surprised that this game has dropped so low in price so quickly. I (personally) would never have conceived of the game reaching sub-£15 levels. That's not to say that it's a great game (even though some levels are) but at this price, one really cannot complain.

HEAT for the price - but I'd buy "new" personally.
Very similar price new at smyths toys this week.
So it's cheaper at Grainger Games with FREE delivery (thank you kipi) or for a mere £3 extra you can have a brand spanking copy from Argos (thank you ranja81) what gives?

It would seem that to win over the brain dead amongst us all you need do is inject a little humour into your title!

You're technically posting the same deal with a plot twist. This has been discussed in the other thread so why are you trying to benefit from it?
The OP has nothing to benefit from posting this deal , just trying to be helpful like he/she said , I wish some people would stop panning others for inocent deal posting and possibly putting newbies off before theve even got started .
I asked the OP this question. Are you the OP? Is this your second account? OP has taken the info from other post (mind he is crediting the other user) so I personally think there is no reason for this post. Aside from the fact the deal is misleading telling people Xbox Live is costing £5 whilst you have to spend £25 first. Tell me, if I've got a fiver in my pocket, can that buy me 3 months live straight away?

What Agent004 said. Stop being so antagonistic.
Thanks Agent004.

If there's a way to delete this post I will do.

Even if CEX has stopped buying it - I just found a quote for £2.60 on ziffit and £1.50 on webuybooks for this blu-ray, and that's over a day since the offer first got posted. Yes minimum trade values apply online, but never assume the high street is the only place to sell to...

Still waiting for a deal on the pc version, Microsoft are trying to flog it for £50 lol
I assume thats for GOW4. This is for the remaster of the first one, released at around £22 on PC. Rarely seen that drop in price...
Just bought it today from my local CeX... Had been waiting for a reasonable price drop for quite long. I've played 5 hours today already and I've loved it .

That delivery price sucks. Considering how they make on trade ins you would think they would swallow the delivery price.
This should help: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/gears-war-ultimate-edition-xbox-one-4-99-delivered-pre-owned-grainger-games-2633206:)

Thanks buddy
I can see this being free this year with GWG esp since the original has been free and literally anything remastered also ends up free eventually if original was.

Bought this from Game for 49p last year. They're very common, so there's a good chance you might find a copy in your local.
Also worth checking out GAME in store (unbelievably) if you want this. Both Trauma Center Games are in the 3 for 2 deal they've had running for years, and both are £1. Meaning you can pick up both game and another for £2 (depending on what third game you pick). I went with Wii Music. Prices do seem to vary though between the two game stores I have close by.

I've had pretty brand new Apple devices before but maybe said Best Apprentice reward of something on the back.

How long does it take without guide??
im still stuck on bridge constructor, started off really well now it doesnt understand laws of physics im sure :|
Haha, guide says 5-10 hours but if you follow it. A second playthrough is also necessary for most people to clean up. Because of you I've bought the Bridge constructor but not tried it yet. Is it difficult?!
not too bad then, got Nubla to play too!! lovin all these deals!!
its a great price, great game, if your a puzzler it be alot simpler if you know the mechanics etc, my problem is im way too symetrical and try to use real life techniques but that doesnt seem to work :| you can finish in 2 hours if you use guide but ive never seen point in that, as I like to earn :D
Nubla takes half hour to plat mate. I didn't personally liked it but just wanted the plat. I will start playing that once I am done with ratchet and clank, probably using the guide. :D

CEX are good to order from when one has only just been announced as BC, when they get wind the next day they up the price like they have done with this, all versions have doubled
Yeah I grabbed LA Noire for £2 a couple of weeks ago, was tempted with the complete edition for £6 but can't justify it lol
CEX are on the ball these days with BC games, i jumped up on Thursday night and grabbed the game and the DLC for £5 each, you got to be quick. lol
And i predeict LA Noire will be here soon as well, so i would grab a copy before that happens, it is ultra cheap at the moment.
Now gone up to double the price, £12 for the game with £2.50 delivery, however still cheaper than Grainger and GAME if anyone is interested
DCFC79
Awesome, thanks for the heads up, not kept up to date with whats been added to the BC list.

Not a problem :)

I get notifications from TrueAchievements to say one of my Games i've played is now Backwards Compatible, also following Major Nelson on Twitter helps too 8)

£45 for any game is too much, especially with the history of games lately, wait 2 weeks after launch and you could probilaey get it for £25 lol
Yeah I think £40 should be the regular price for ALL games............Have you seen how much Nintendo want for thier games?? £60!!!! I wish they would just drop out of the console race and go 3rd party! Love to have a PS4 version on Zelda and Mario! Would look amazing, unlike how they look at the mo, totally unimpressed with the so called Switch!

"So called"? No. Switch. Nothing 'so called' about it. Besides, the 3DS's launch was relatively poor. Has since gone on to do incredibly well with a strong library of games.
pazuzu17
Game £45, PS4 £200(ish), VR £350, PS Move controllers (pair) £50 (ish). Total price for what is essentially a novelty = cold.

Thats a family hoilday away if you add that up

You don't need VR or Move controllers. So going by your maths, that's £245 for a console and a game, a console which has an excellent established library of games.

you mean established lidrary of remasters ;)

HEAT for posting some a bit different.

Its not that hard to find, looking around can be had for around £20. Plenty of sellers on eBay. New for £25, so this is not exactly a rare game. Paid less than £10 for it new myself about 2 years ago.
Also if you search Castlevania Mirror of Fate you get the all the listings :)

meant hard to find at this price but yeah.

it gets knocked quite a lot and coming after the great ds castlevania games perhaps rightly. But it is a good price + hard to find so heat.
finished this on Steam a few days ago. for fans of the series only, I would say. solid 7 out of 10

Hot! great deal for this box set, Gotham is a brilliant show. One thing I will say though, CEX pre-owned dvds are usually scratched up, unless you're lucky.
£2.50 postage is a flat rate for postage, but orders are limited to 10 items or less. You can't even put 11 items in your basket.
Heat added very good series particularly the Penguin character.
Silhouette
Didnt know the £2.50 postage was for up to 10 items
I thought it was just a fixed £2.50 per order... Learning new things today :D

Yup £2.50 for up to 10 items rather than per order and they won't let you order more than 10 items at a time but still worth ordering several at a time for the flat rate postage as it's not that high...ehm well in my case 10 at a time convincing myself I'm saving money by spending 25p postage per item rather than £2.50 on one item and conveniently ignoring the extra money I've spent on DVD's/Blu-Rays to make the postage more cost effective...lol..

Oh so knew someone would post about the other set and thought about putting a note in the description to clarify that it's a different set....
The one you've posted the link to is a different boxset which was released in 2010, has 10 discs and does not include the Ab Fab at 20 specials....the one I've posted was released in 2014, has 11 discs and does contain the Ab Fab at 20 Specials...
Cheapest price I can find NEW for the grey covered set at the moment is £14.39 @ zoom.co.uk using code SIGNUP10
Cheapest price I can find NEW for the pink covered set at the moment is £19.49 @ Base.com
Admittedly this set (the one with the pink cover I've posted) is now not definitive due to the movie being released last year but no doubt they'll use that as a marketing opportunity to do another Absolutely Fabulous Fabulous Fabulous Definitive, Definitive Complete Collection at some point ;)
Mentioned 10 disc in my earlier post to differentiate between 11-disc OP and to highlight the disproportionate cost of the 11th disc especially as both sets are not true complete works as at end 2016 onwards.
Must admit I went for the one from CEX as the person I was buying it for wanted the pink covered set...really not sure why as they already have the grey covered set...did point out they could just buy the Ab Fab at 20 specials separately but this apparently wasn't good enough as they wanted everything in one set...guess that means they'll be buying a third set some time in the future when they do all the series and specials plus the movie in one box....lol...
Collectors / enthusiasts (obsessors?) often seem content to pay a premium. I suspect the true works including 2016 feature may appear on bluray sometime this year, although I believe most were shot in SD (not that it stopped SD-only Life on Mars series being released on bluray).
I think the one saving grace for them and their obsession is they didn't like the lord of the rings and hobbit trilogies otherwise god knows how many practically identical sets they'd have of those...unfortunately they were (actually still are seeing as they're still very much alive and kicking...lol...) a HUGE Harry Potter Fan and I totally lost count of how many slightly different versions they have of those from the single DVD/Blu-Ray's to the never-ending assortment of "complete" boxsets that were released....
Admittedly I probably shouldn't judge as I'm desperate for E.R. to be released on Blu-Ray and yes I will be totally sucked into buying it despite having bought firstly the video sets, then the individual DVD sets and finally the complete DVD Boxset...I guess we all have our little quirks at the end of the day :p
Time to open the can'o'worms for any AbFab obsessor: the officially approved foreign imposters, available on disc from
a mere £6-ish https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000063JD8/
to an extortionate £140+ https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01I080EO0/http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0271945/

PMSL...oh lordy no way I'm getting involved in getting that for them...actually I could and say oh I misheard you and thought you said you wanted the special one with the different cover (it's certainly different) rather than the one with the different cover with the last set of specials...lol..

I would of course have to go for the £140+ one just to make sure it was absolutely genuine :p

Admittedly I probably shouldn't judge as I'm desperate for E.R. to be released on Blu-Ray and yes I will be totally sucked into buying it despite having bought firstly the video sets, then the individual DVD sets and finally the complete DVD Boxset...I guess we all have our own little quirks at the end of the day :p

Put it this way I definitely have a major weakness when it comes to a certain orange and black stripey character to the extent that one of my most prized possessions is a signed photo of the guy who was the original voice of Tigger (yes the actual guy not a picture of Tigger signed by the guy who voiced him) which is framed and hangs proudly on my wall despite the fact that nobody has a clue who the randomer is...now that is just sad...lol..

I paid £67.50 for a 3TB Toshiba a month ago.
This price for a 2TB is a joke.
COLD
My research lead me to the conclusion that a 2TB was the biggest I could 'safely' swap out the 500GB for!? At least without some big black box thing of an HDD cover? Was this information wrong?
I believe support for larger drives came in System Update 3.5, according to this article:http://www.geek.com/games/ps4-firmware-3-50-quietly-adds-support-for-4tb-hard-drives-1651854/
However, I'm sticking with an upgrade of 2 Tb when I do it
He's talking about the physical size of the drive not the capacity.
As he details 2Tb and 500Gb in the post then I think he does mean capacity rather than physical size.

Because 500GB to 2TB drives are below the maximum thickness of 9.5 mm, drives over 2TB are above the maximum thickness and don't physically fit inside the PS4 correctly (hammer required):)

If you have an original PS4 it's not a problem you just buy a Data Bank

Also if you're looking for a HD upgrade and want a 2TB one, get the Seagate FireCuda for a few extra quid.

Thanks for the info, shame it only has 8GB nand so has limitations.

Do not buy or sell stuff at Cex. You can pretty much all the time buy a brand new product for the same price (sometimes cheaper) and you can ALWAYS sell your unwanted games/hardware easily on gumtree/ebay for a much better profit (last month I sold Fifa 17 for £30 where CeX would only give me £18 for it..)

Also if you're looking for a HD upgrade and want a 2TB one, get the Seagate FireCuda for a few extra quid. Not only do you get a warranty intact, you don't need to tamper with the drive like in this case and most importantly besides the huge storage space, you get a pretty good increase in performance when it comes to loading. This is especially awesome for those games where you die a lot and the loading takes a lot of time such as the masterful Bloodborne

I'd rather pay £62 new and keep the 500gb as an external storage. I don't trust cex and my local has too many a**holes who work there that make up their own rules as they go along.

I have a hang up about CEX myself - all the stock looks grubby, they buy anything and everything, its for poor people who the banks won't give debit cards too etc etc but I am chuffed with this purchase. In my eyes it was a swap more than a buy - old stuff I didn't use for something I wanted. That is the deal as I see it. I had tried selling the old stuff on Gumtree but got little more than a bunch of silly messaged from silly people offering silly amounts.

I meant both capacity and physical size - I read something along the lines of 3TB+ are 12mm (500, 1 and 2TB being 7 or 8mm) and not ideal for PS4 - may result in excess heat and that 3 or 4 or bigger TB capacity causes shutdown issues, something about not being able to use rest mode or safe mode or something or other - decided to only go as high as 2TB.

Amazingly bad game; and I'm a Dungeon Siege fan. You'd be better off spending your £2 on something else.

Ooo that price history table is awesome
It is a good game.
this was free on gwg when I jumped in my time machine and went back to the appropriate week just now
Seems to be plenty of stock, certainly in the London area.
