Thansk Op. Booked for the half term break in Oct, the weekend of my son birthday for a special treat for him. Four of us booked for the Hilton (4*) with breakfast, plus evening time they offer free ice lolly at the hotel.
Plan to have a relaxing first day, finish around 4pm, pick up the ice lolly at hotel then go for swimming at the hotel pool. Will then have dinner at the hotel restaurant with 15% off the bill plus kids eat free! Don't forget to pre-book the car park permit at the booking, which you get 10% off the add-on as well, so £9 for two-day car park permit rather than £10.
Last few years we usually only did one day visit and left the park when it closed but ended stuck at the car park for almost an hour as everyone else try to leave at the same time. So hoping this time leaving at 4'ish pm will be more relaxing and enjoyable.

Yup, I guess the deal maker for you was that free ice lolly!! Lol....it'll freezing in October so you might want to swap that ice lolly for a hot soup lol...

I've been to legoland, chessington, thorpe park and alton towers over the last year with merlin passes. legoland is the only one we haven't visited again horrendous queues and just felt really underwhelmed with the whole park. Would highly recommend thorpe park or chessington if you have younger children. A decent deal though if you are looking to go to legoland.
Would Thorpe Park be ok for a 5yr old/7yr old?
Thanks
i would say chessington would be more suitable, there is rides for kids its an angry birds themed area but chessington has a zoo and more suitable rides i would say.
Thanks
I'm just now debating whether to go there in the summer holidays or the first weekend of school!! Is chessington as crazy busy as legoland?

first weekend of school would probably be better it was busy when we went in the 6 weeks holidays. i suppose any theme park is the same, i think wherever you go you and your kids will enjoy it :)

Try not to come to Slough lol, promise u wont like it!! 8)
Why?????? Got two nights booked there! oO
Like anywhere there are rougher areas than others but never had any problems in the locations of the hotels. The T5 one is in Colnbrook just off the motorway.Grew up in Slough and its gone downhill over the years but like any tourist its not like you're going there for the town only somewhere to rest your head at night .Can think of worse places.

Also after all the disappointment of the first one, why would anyone pre order.

Yep seen it but I know some people who don't like those kind of sites, and a lot of them have come under fire for charged backed keys. Nice spot though.
GMG are legit unlike g2a and kinguin...

Never had a problem with G2A or Kinguin, but I certainly wouldn't pay over £25 for a PC game, especially from Ubisoft.

Not saying you would have had a problem personally but they have been shown to be selling keys that were obtained via stolen cards... plenty of people have had these keys revoked.

It is just a possibility when buying from those two.

This thread reminded me about a £20 off any hotels.com booking offer on here in May. I have just checked and it is still only in 'tracked' status despite being booked on 25th May for a stay that weekend and it saying "we’ll pay you this money around 6 weeks after you’ve completed your stay. " So that's over 9 weeks so far...
The 10% cashback Laterooms bookings looks good and could work out better in some cases.
Still waiting for mine also from May

I bought one of these a few weeks ago during the Tesco clubcard Boost, it cost me £20 of clubcard points , but it was not worth the money at all. This phone is RUBBISH . I got it just to use for tethering but even so it is utter junk. don't buy one !
As a tethering point it's tolerable, but it is garbage as a smartphone, you have been warned
What do you for £22? My alcatel i got, works great. Cant remember model 50x comes to mind with out looking

Model 5017X is the 4G version which is much faster and has 1GB RAM. This deal is for the 3G version of the phone.

I'm using one at the moment. Not one I'd recommend - the charging port was so flimsy it's more or less failed after about a year (you have to hold it in place when charging). I suppose £22 for the 3g model is worth it for a spare.
Still, this in store specific deal. Not national!

Absolutely love Budapest, me and the wife go every year as we live near Stansted so its easy to get to, as has been said previously so much to do in the city, food is amazing, booze is cheap, pint of beer and large white wine was just over £2 you can Uber all over the city for cheap and even get one from the airport. We stay at the Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal and I manage to get it for ~£100 a night and its an amazing hotel with a lot of history.
PS: If you go make sure to check out the ruin Bars dotted around the city!
Any good to take a 7 year old to in tow?
depends what sort of fun you wanna get out of your holiday, lol. Of course is ok with a child of that age provided he is a good walker, if he start to complain then you ruin your holiday

quality was ok cut was rubbish returned all of mine
Just tried them on yesterday and am I disappointed or what - no one in their sane mind can pay 45 quid for them - full price - I struggled to justify paying even the 13 quid for it - and all of them are going back - oh well, you have to be in to win it - they said - so I tried - but.
Received my order. The tshirts seem ok but the polos dont, the fitting is poor. Anyone else feel the same?
That's a real shame. Wondering whether I should send these back. Sports Direct are evil.
Sorry - my original message just gave to info - without going into detail. Yeah LVMH own the brand and SD have licence to put the brand name in goods they sell. They have lots of "Well Known" labels in their grasp - most of what they sell where you recognise the name is like this. Firetap, Pierre Cardin are another two.
You can get DKNY branded stuff from Flannels website (part of SD) at humongous discount. Reason being - no in in their right mind would pay £400 for a Sports Direct branded coat - but swap the label to DKNY and offer it at "Discount" of £40 and see them fly out the warehouse. They have regular sales, in between the odd day at higher prices just to stay above the law of how they can advertise it's a sale.

This deal was not expired yesterday I expired it once I spent over an hour of my time uploading photos. There was no indication that this deal had an expiry date. When I put the code in I got a message indicating it may work if I logged in. Absolute joke, also rubbish interface and poor web design. I urge people to go elsewhere. Scammed me by trying to make me pay full price, I nearly just paid it but realised it was all set up for me to take all that time before getting a knock back for the code.

Do you work for these jokers with a post like that? As for blocking me its entirely up to you but the incitement in your post is uncalled for and classed as harassment so ive reported you for that. Regards

I don't get where the 4.6 % comes from. It says 3.4% on their website...
In eu they have negative interest rates.
So maybe in theory they pay you to take a loan

Back up to Scotland today after a weekend in London and an over night at the Travelodge in Warrington Lowton..followed by a trip to the Safari Park..

The baboons were by far the most interesting part of the day - they are little bar stewards indeed!

I managed to get out with only a minor issue when a larger male decided to pull out one of the lower rubber surrounds of my Hyundai i20 windscreen, look at it disapprovingly, then chew it a couple of times before casually tossing it into the road...

Luckily, I asked one of the guys at the exit if he could retrieve it for me and that was a success!

Back at the car park outside of the safari drive, I started to re-assemble my car, the car next to me was a black Peugeot which had a snapped off rear window wiper (the second one I saw that day!) and both of his windscreen washers had been chewed up by the little beggars!

My car was also a slimey looking mess of hand/foot prints and mud etc.

I'm surprised that my back wiper survived too, as god knows how many baboons decided it was the perfect place to sit!

OOS all colours?
Good deal

Only red left.
Not bad, note that many airlines allow larger, for example Easyjet is 56 x 45 x 25 cm
found a good review of it on the skyscanner.net site here

Ed Rex, of Rexy Edventures says: "As I went kicking and screaming into my thirties last year, I realised that I was no longer a backpacker. In fact, I’ve become a luxury flashpacker. With that in mind, I needed new hand luggage to take on exclusive and swanky city breaks, beach holidays or even a glamorous festival or two. Enter the funky, modern and professional looking Alex M1 Cabin Suitcase from Revelation London. It has already served me in good stead on my journeys across the UK and I anticipate it to be well used on my trips to the continent this year."

Capacity 5/5 The bag is definitely hand luggage sized (50 x 40 x 20cm, weight 2.8kg). I don’t think even Ryanair would stop this coming on board! It’s small, compact and yet, like a Tardis, it feels like it’s bigger on the inside! I’ve had absolutely no problems placing it into luggage holds and quite often, just sliding it under the seat in front of you.

Functionality 4/5 This bag has two outer pockets - perfect for whipping out a book, passport and travel information without having to open your entire suitcase. There's a mesh pocket in the inside of the suitcase lid. I usually store my valuables in there so they don’t get crushed. The handle is strong, sturdy and offers complete control so that the suitcase doesn’t topple every now and again. The reason I’ve given it 4/5 is that there are no crush releases, so you have to be careful in how you pack.

Durability 5/5 This suitcase has gone through thunderstorms, a horrible crash from a train suitcase hold and having to keep up with my fast walking speed. So far, it’s been very good and no damage can be seen.

Style Factor 5/5 This is the Channing Tatum of the hand luggage world. Its red colour puts to shame all the black and soft felt suitcases that are carted around on long journeys.

Value for Money 5/5 It’s totally good value for money: it’s long-lasting, stylish and very functional.

Best For Luxury flashpackers who want to showcase their personality and have a good, sturdy and fashionable bag.

I have another i5 computer for £150 coming up later, when I get a bit of time to post it
Nice setup.
Nice fast CPU making this a good development rig.

The CPU is selling for £167 at scan computers..... Worth realistically over £100 itself on the second hand market
4 pci-express ports.... the only issue for some might be the small form factor, although some might prefer that.

I booked Sunday (free night £59) and Monday night, it will reject the code if it's outside the terms and will show in red that it's been rejected. Try it you don't pay at that stage.

In the terms and conditions it says 'your stay cannot commence on a Sunday'. Does that mean I cant do a room for Sunday 5th and Monday 6th June? when trying to apply the code it allows you to do this :-S
Just booked mine and saved £59, thanks for the heads up. :D

Don't forget - Offer runs out tomorrow, you have to book by the 19th May
So do you have to book 2 nights to get the discount, or can you just book one night and use code to get it free??
If you wanted a Fri, Sat, Sun stay (3 nights) would you have to book the Friday separate and what would the check in situation be? :D

Tory Britain, where people in a first world country need to use the charity of the public to fill their stomachs.
Shameful.
You think we're a 1st world country? :{
How very mistaken you are!

You very much are a first world country, until you lived somewhere else and have experienced what a non first world country looks like you have no right complaining.

I am from a so called "second world" country and our average salary is 6 time lower than in UK and your cost of living is only about 1.5 times of ours. So try imagining you quarter your salary and live on that, if you experience that you might get a feeling how a first world country does not look like.

UK has problems and has bad social policies which lead to it some not having their basic needs met, but that is a policy problem and a very capitalistic approach. I also assure you that even homeless people are far better of. But it is still a rich country when compared to 95% of the rest of the world.

looks interesting but the bit about 260 euro deposit being refunded 15 days after departure subject to deductions and a 56-126 euro end of stay cleaning deposit again returned 15 days later with deductions made if apartment requires clang after you leave makes me a bit uneasy.
By this time you will be back in the UK and therefore it would be very difficult to dispute if they make claims you have broken items in the apartment or left the place unclean.
Timestamped pictures just before you leave showing the condition. Can't argue with it.
Anyone know if any of the places on offer are easy to travel to by train?

I am using this right now and honestly, it isn't even bad. It's actually very good. Don't know what issues people are having. EE in my area is very good so this works great. 10gb for 10 quid is amazing. Especially if you have a dual sim phone where there's not hassle of changing numbers as I use one sim for data and sim for texts and calling (I use Three 3,2,1 sim so it lasts me a few months)

Yes mate. I'm using tethering and crossing 18.4 GB now. Still in 3G speed. I guess they did not apply the speed limit. 8)8)

I couldn't agree more, as a youngster I used to live a walk round with my mum & dad not even going on anything but now can't even do the same with my kids....it was lovely to walk round have a god on a ride or a game if you wanted too!
I took my kids last year and paid nothing for our wristbands.
There is a gaming app where you build up points playing the game to use on vouchers for wristbands and free food and drinks.

Its called Big One Buckle Up on the google play store. I'm not gonna lie it took about a month or so of casual playing to build up enough points but was worth it as ended up being a cheap day out in the end.

Watch kids pass.most of the offers can be found online or as above on cereal boxes without paying for a kids pass.

They say kids eat free at Frankie &Bennies on Friday but that is open to everyone regardless of having a kids pass. Lots of complaints on their Facebook.

Did you buy via the online Apple Education store?
This has saved me a packet so far and I can now start down my second career as an accountant as well.

The best discount I've managed so far was a shade under £300 off a new iMac, it somewhat **** on the £3.20 I saved buying clothes for the kids in Matalan
Up to 15% off Mac & 4% on iPad plus special pricing on AppleCare Protection Plan
Anyone tried to redeem this Apple Education discount with his NUS extra card?

Sorry...
Unable to enter the requested store.

All I get is this error message :(
Follow this link to try: http://www.nus.org.uk/en/nus-extra/discounts/get-15-off-mac-products-with-apple-education/
Mine hasn't arrived yet, but logged in to check the status and turns out they let you know the card number before it arrives (It's being processed). Used it on the Spotify Premium Student page et voila, Premium for £4.99.

Considering I've been paying full whack for Spotify already and would have carried on doing so this deal has already put me £37.88 up on the year!

Couple that with 6 months Prime and 5% discount (when the actual card arrives) and 10% on the Co-op (where I do lot of my lunch shopping) it's gonna save me a ton of money!

Might even do the accountancy course just so I feel a little better morally ;)
Worked for me. I have my NUS extra card in my hand now. Didn't appear to do any checks on the course though. The irony for me is that I was a student for 5 years I didn't have one then!

Hi all. Just to confirm on the issues here:
1. Travelodge have confirmed all bookings but only pay us twice a month. They have paid us for the first third of transactions but we don't have visibility of how they are deciding when to pay. If you're booking is not yet "confirmed" on EarnAway, the payment should be made in the next run (which occurs at some point today). You should then be able to request payment. We have to wait for them to pay us before we can consolidate the transactions and that's why it can take a prolonged period of time to receive your cashback. If this wasn't clear we will make this clearer the next time.
2. We run payments once a week (on a Thursday). There was a technical bug last week with the people who make payments for us so the run occurred on Monday not Thursday. After the payment it generally takes 2-3 days to receive your money so anybody who requested payment prior to Monday should receive the money in their account either today or tomorrow (based on my shoddy maths).

5 Days on and My Payments Still Confirmed as it has been for weeks and still isn't accessible to Request a Pay Out to myself!

Hi Mark - we have chased this up with the Affiliate Network and Travelodge have yet to pay their May invoice which is why we have been unable to pay you for this, unfortunately due to cashflow and the way the system works we're unable to pay before the booking provider does. If you email me directly on [email protected] I can look into your specific issues if there are any.

What's the use of including children's prices? You can't take em unless you're willing to pay fines for taking em out of school.

Actually. Kids who go to private school can take as much time out as they want and they don't have to ask permission.

As for the fines.... Not all LA's fine, ours doesn't, we've had 6 days last year for a holiday and 3 days this year, authorised, as my kids attendance is good but they are about to choose options for their GCSE's so we won't do it anymore til they leave school. Aside from which, its cheaper to pay the fine than pay full price in the other holidays anyway.
The reason these deals are so cheap is because most schools will not give time off in May due to tests and exams so the planes are half empty. I am counting the days til my kids leave school so I can go to Florida every year for this kind of money!! Park tickets will cost more than flights!!
Can anyone link me up please?

Free Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo (in Gold)
500min, unlimited texts, 2.5GB data (unlimited first 2 months)
£10.20 p/m on 24 month contract

I thought is was a good deal, but now I have two contracts :S

I've had Vodafone for 2 years, perfectly fine with everything. But with these guys never able to get good internet speed.

You won't be able to use their internet at all. That's my experience.

They use the Vodafone network right? I haven't had many problems with Vodafone thus far in terms of internet.

Booked 3 rooms when this offer was on and paid using Amex. Turns out that you cannot use Amex to get the offer:

"Limit one discount per booking. Not valid on past purchases or pay-on-arrival bookings (including all bookings where American Express is the payment method) and not exchangeable for cash."
Gutted - saw this deal on the Facebook post yesterday which stated 'code ends tomorrow' so left it to book today when i have the time and the code ended yesterday. Thanks HUKD :(
perfect timing for me :) many thanks guys

Can anybody suggest a nice one for school holidays? That's also cheap of course (outside London).

Don't know if it's covered by the deal but their one at Lowestoft is one of the best I've been in

The last 2 Travelodge's we stayed in were dirty with outdated bathrooms.
Blood on the undersheet / toilet dirty & bathroom not cleaned properly in a very long time.
Bedside lamps looked as if they had never been cleaned, same went for the kettle.
This was all at the one in view of the Dartford crossing (Kent side) and the one on the A2/M2 at Chatam was not a lot better, both times "some" money was refunded but never again for us.
Also if you have a complain trying to get hold of anyone online / phone is like getting blood out of a stone.
Those ones are rough because they are mostly occupied by contractors who share one room between 5 or 6.

No they are rough (read Dirty) as the staff are given no time to properly clean the rooms !

It is/was available with a superflower PSU as well if people prefer that ... your USB3 slots will be on the back, but thats not terrible is it?

Yes you want them on the front so you can get to them easy on the back is a pain in the ASS

I got this case last year with a Fractal Design branded psu for £30 from ebuyer just over a year ago.
The case itself has featured regularly on HUKD since then.
As mentioned by others, no USB3.

N0 usb3 kills the deal there just selling off old stock
