Yes, absolutely! Our bodies are shameful things and we should find no joy in our own humanity nor those around us. All these people choosing to harmlessly celebrate the natural and healthy functioning of their bodies in a way that affects you not even slightly should surely be punished. I happen to know where you could hold of some whips if that helps?

Might sound a bit harsh but it just shows what fear about safety concerns does to people.

After Alton Towers last year, Drayton Manor the other week and now Manc the other night theme parks will be literally opening their gates for free to get people through so you'll be seeing plenty more of these.
me take a likkle trip down de torpe park
Went Thorpe Park last year, stayed in the onsite hotel thing, would go again, only thing was on the second day, because we did everything several times on the first day, we just did everything again and left at around 11 :3 0. To be fair I would rather do everything too many times than be queuing for 2 days and not get on everything once, but it'd be nice if they had a couple shows on throughout the day or something. I'd happily do it again in a year or two when there's new attraction(s), we paid around £50-60 for 2 days and a night on site, but the 200 mile drive means I'll stick to single days at Alton Towers and Blackpool for now.

EDIT: Voted hot btw ;]

Is this suitable for a 3 and 6 year old? I've never been
No - stick to Chessington or Legoland if you must.
Very few of those hotels are anywhere near the park at all, many are an hour or more away. Those that are nearby are not particularly good.

I had no problems with returns. Free returns.
I know it is but I bought 3 items and factored in the postage cost, now I am left with 2 items and no apology from Boohoo for the crap quality and wanting me to pay an additional postage near the value of the item to get another.

If it wasn't for the fact my daughter likes the items they could have had the lot back.
So beautiful these dresses, ordered Jackie Deep V Mesh panel dress fro myself. Thanks op.

Hair sectioning accessory, which allows you to determine the correct thickness of hair strand for curling:
This seems like such a handy tool to keep in the dressing table. I like that you can vary the thickness of hair fed through
It's just like the Perfect Curl really, in that you can only use rather small sections of hair at a time. Bit of a bummer but with a few practice runs you can pick up the speed a bit. I still have to devote about half an hour to mine (though I'm crap with hairstyling and hair wands, which is why I bought my Babyliss!).

How very ageist!
Went last weekend and had a good time but be aware that the park is plagued by rides being constantly suspended due to various glitches with their sensors. The Ghost Train is particularly affected by this, being mostly unavailable for the two days we were there. Food and drinks are fairly pricey and the park needs a bit of TLC in terms of cleaning and painting as it looks a bit dated.
so i get to vote for someone that won't have a chance and go to a **** theme park great
Bit ageist isn't it ?
SmallSpender
Perhaps they are making an informed choice when not voting?
Impossible to know, though, isn't it? If they don't vote, politicians will assume they're never going to, and not bother tailoring policies towards them. If they were to register, turn up, and spoil their ballot papers, then at least the politicians would know it's worth trying to do stuff that these people might approve of.

Don't vote, don't complain that politicians are all useless. Of course they will be (for you) if they don't think you'll ever vote for them.

Train pricing is disgusting in general, its beyond retarded that its cheaper to fly to a different country than to go a couple of hundred miles on a train.

Felt like highlighting the Conservative manifesto promises a back track on rail fare freezes. All profits, and billions in rail subsidies even if you never catch a train, go to the Governments of France, Germany, and the Nederlands - even after we leave the EU - and they'll take even more thanks to the Conservatives wanting to privatise even more.
Whether you're anti or pro EU, it makes sense that money stays here and gets reinvested into our services instead of services abroad.
+1! I drove from Leeds to London, spent an hour driving around in London at rush hour, went home and only spent around £40 in fuel. How is a train more expensive than a car!? Not to mention the comfort, I had lumbar support, legs fully stretched out, AC kept me nice and cool, surround sound music, snacks and drinks were really cheap, not to mention I could stop when I wanted. All I had to do was wiggle the wheel a little!
Because fuel costs are just a small part of the cost of running a car - everybody forgets all the other costs, and they're not all fixed costs either. :|
I looked in to getting an annual bus pass to get to work, in order to weigh up options. I quickly dismissed the idea when I saw that it would easily cost more than the petrol alone, and my car isn't particularly frugal either. Add to that the advantages of not having to wait, put up with drunks and chavs and people playing carp music on their crappy phone speaker, being able to sling your coat and bag on the back seat without worrying someone will nick it etc. As I already pay MOT, Tax, etc etc it just doesn't make any sense.

Privatisation has just led to rampant profiteering.

The contracts are coming up for renewal and that's why May is eager to dispense of the fares freeze, so they are more eager to renew their contracts - as a couple of operators have just walked out on, or threatened to walk out on, contracts lately.

Of course, with VED, servicing, replacement parts, depreciation, MOT, insurance and breakdown cover, all of that equates to less than 10p per mile, with fuel around 8p a mile, so 18p a mile, total of £81 for the journey.
However I am already paying for the VED, MOT, breakdown cover and the majority of the insurance whether I drive 100 miles or 20000 miles, so that 18p a mile is a little inflated.
Taking a train under normal costs would have cost me in excess of £90, not to mention I don't live next to a train station nor is my destination next to one, so taxi or bus fares have to be calculated into that too. Oh and one final mention, I travelled on my own, that journey could have been completed with a full car, with only minimal increases in fuel usage, costing £22.50 a person.

It is a fantastic place to visit and we go very regularly. There's easily enough here to keep young kids entertained for a whole day. But as mentioned despite the park and enclosures being well kept the pens are very small for the animals they house (the white tiger pen for instance is only slightly larger than my back garden), which as a spectator means your always up close and personal with the animals, but it does leave you feeling a little sorry for the animals. I suppose you have to balance the conservation benefit of housing and breeding these mostly endangered species vs the individual animals freedom.

If you want a guilt free animal experience, my favourite Zoo's are Whipsnade and Durrell, with Chester coming a close 2nd.
The trouble is it is best to visit there on a sunny day. Most of the exhibits are out doors or you have to walk between each one to get to them.

Also the animals are not daft, if it is raining they stay hidden in their hut. There is a mini train that tours the park but does not stop at each exhibit.

It is very good exercise/workout walking all the way round. Just make sure you take spare batteries for your camera and a packed lunch and drink. There is a speedway museum as well there. Well worth a trip but better in the sun.
Although it's a good deal, I'm kinda torn with this place. I went a few years ago, and although it's incredible to see such wild creatures in the flesh (snow leopards, white tigers, etc), I felt so guilty when I saw the lack of space they had. Granted, it's not half as bad as some zoos, but I just don't think some of these creatures should be kept in 100m x 50m cages when out in the wild they would likely roam for miles and miles every day. Unless there is some kind of breeding programme going on, although to my knowledge, that isn't the case.

I won't vote either way, but just make sure you really appreciate these animals if you do decide to visit!

Should buy Ross Brawn and his aerodynamic working group a couple of tickets, to see if they can work out how to improve the ability of the current F1 cars to follow each other.
Look at the complexity of the wings - it's a plank. Not a multi-fanned concoction that ruins racing today.
Why is there min age 18? Does anyone know please?

They could take that McLaren in the picture and put it on a track now and it would still be faster and more reliable than the current one!
Also, heat added :)

Welcome to sunny Bournemouth. well it is today anyway . bye the way make sure you don't need the toilet when you're sightseeing this fab town because our wonderful council has closed most of them 8)

That's what I like about the USA, you can stop in the middle of the desert and there's a damn toilet there. I think in the UK because of the weather, people venture out less and so councils think they can skimp on stuff.

All the cheaper prices are during school term times,Can't believe parents take their kids off school to go to these.
Why?
My kids have been taken out of school every year since they started.. We live in wales and its perfectly legal for the school to autorise 10 days holiday, we have children with autism and special needs term time holidays allow for a quiter and more controlled experince, but regardless
My Eldest is now predicted to acheive All B's & A's and just got an A in Maths GCSE, My 2nd youngest just got the highest position in the school for his maths and top five for English.
Show me evidence that taking kids on holidays during term time affects them academically? The holidays we spend together are fun AND educational..
Last year we did Montreuil-aux-Lions, we did Disneyland, and learnt all about the Battle of Somme, The geography of the area, did some history of Paris and took in the culture..
This year we are going to blackpool (Im from up north originally) we will visit the pleasure beach, and we will visit the science and industry museums of Manchester & Liverpool too.
I think its very arrogant to assume people holiday sitting around a pool all day and couldnt care less for their kids education I think you will find those are minority of people who think like that (maybe it something you see in yourself?), but even if they do so what, what business is it of yours?
I am perfectly happy with going on holiday if the school allows it . I was assuming most schools do not authorise term time breaks . As I am not against going on holidays, rather it was the principal aspect of breaking the school policy that is if they have one in place, Which in your case does not apply as your school gives permission for this.Hope i have made this clear. :)[/quote

Yeah I agree, people like you shouldn't take your kids out of term. Would hate to see your miserable face whilst on holiday.
Couldn't resist! My kids finish school next Friday 30th June so would only be watching films all week anyway.

Is not really that hard to believe. I personally don't take my kids out during term time but it's easy to see why ppl do and let's be honest as they grow up what are they going to look back on fondly, a couple of days of school or time spent with their family. Probably does them more good than harm.

IMO half a day is enough to do everything in Thorpe Park. Get there for opening and you can ride everything twice before it starts to get busy after lunch.
you must be joking, if you do not have fast track, even omn a rainy weekday, and arriving at 10am, you can only use the rides once till it is 6pm. i have been there with my pals before twice, and never had a chance to use main rides more than once. in 7 hours.
I've been there four times, always Saturdays during the Spring/Summer, and I've never left later than 2pm.
No way you need 2 days to do the lot twice. One is plenty.

nope, it is 20% for kids only. some rides even have "g" force, quite fun for a group of pals to go.

Cold ford ranger much better
This sector is getting very competitive (I work in the van industry and review them for the media). The latest Navara gives the Ranger a good run for its money, in fact the independent suspension gives a class leading ride and it's won numerous awards. Having said that, Ranger in its latest incarnation is a superb truck. If I was spending my own money Ranger jwould probably just edge it, I've a personal preference for the cab environment.
There are some good lease deals knocking around for the Fiat Fullback, a rebadged Mitsubishi L200. If you're not a badge snob it's worth a look.

These things are supposed to be workhorses arent they?

How does that work when you give them back....what is considered fair wear and tear on a pickup?

The two-piece navy blue narrow stripe I ordered on Saturday has arrived today - 50% wool 50% polyester.
I must say the quality and fit are well above what I was expecting for £89 (£80.10 after the APRIL10 discount code).
Waiting for the TCB to track at 8% on ex-VAT value of £66.75, so £5.34.
Well pleased :)

was there yesterday with my family. Average wait for a ride 40 minutes. Absolute disaster and waste of money
Guess you don't go to theme parks very often then. 40 mins is a pretty short queue. Personal advice - stay away at busy periods (like next weekend - at least you went before half the country went onto half term!
For those who don't mind waiting - I think Legoland is amazing!
We got the annual passes through tesco 2 years ago and went about 10 times in the year.

THIS! We went in September last year for 2 days, stayed at the Hotel and had a brilliant time. Walked on everything. It's all about timing with LEGOLAND and all theme parks really. If you go on a bank holiday/during school holidays obviously it's going to be busy. No point moaning about it!
Recently came back from Legoland. It was busy on monday (bank holiday) and surprisingly busy on Tuesday too. Long waiting ques, Q Bot for an additional cost and lets you reserve the ride but only once the ride waiting time is up.
Overall lot of walk and few rides. We waited 45 minutes and ride time was less than 3 minutes.
Dont think I'll be going back to Legoland again.

Edited By: asifbutt on Apr 20, 2017 21:16
This is cheaper than buying tickets direct!
Any advice on the Q Bot please?
I am not visiting Legoland until they put some sort of cap on number of people allowed to start with. It's like herds are allowed to wonder as they like. Not surprise, why would they offer second day free /discounts, because management is aware that family of four would not have chance to get on all rides at least once in one day, looking at number of people allowed to graze in.

As mentioned on this forum and on previous thread, it's a queue land. I got two boys 7 & 4 and it's very difficult to keep them entertained for an hour while waiting for their turn to get on five minutes ride. I can go on for another half an hour but rather not waste my time. I will take my kids somewhere else and there are lots of places, where they can have decent day out for the money I pay for Legoland and top of that a lifetime memories of crying children while waiting on queue. NEVER AGAIN…..

I bought a small kingdian ssd for my htpc about two years ago, cos it was the only ssd I could afford with my limited budget.

It's a little slower than the sandisk ssd in my laptop but hasnt missed a beat.

If you dont have the budget for a branded option & it's not for important data then it's certainly an option imo.

commodity prices for flash memory has risen due to supply restrictions but also the price inflation from Brexit has also played its part...
Is there a way to work out whether the price in Euro or Dollars has risen to the same extent.
That would go some way to quantify the Brexit effect.

You could try to use amazon as a baseline and check camelcamelcamel against the UK site and see if the price correlation deviates around brexit time. You'd need to try a bunch (> 25) of products to get any proper statistical significance.

Thanks for the heads up op

Was going to do this last time they had the offer.

I chose the Maidenhead Holiday Inn. For 2 days park and the hotel I think it is a very good deal, even if you did the 1 adult child free offers you'd be looking at £90 for first day and £90 for a second which is already more than a lot of the offerings here.

Nice specs. I would be concerned about the stipulation that any sort of Android or Windows upgrades messing with the tablet and voiding the warranty. Presumably this doesn't mean that Windows couldn't be updated, new version of Android installed, etc?

That's the standard warning they put on ALL their tablet, phone and PC offerings. Nothing to worry about

Very good deal, picked up 6 T-shirts for holidays.
Seems to only apply to all the "3 for £25" tshirts.

Still a good deal, ordered a few for summer.

Think they changed it - doesnt stack now.

Not really, I don't mind bundling the kids in the car early and getting down for opening time, however I'd be loathed to then do the journey in reverse the same day. Makes for two gentler days, I'm probably 3.5 hours from there. I do get your point, but it takes some of the driving out of it (and not always good driving the day before).
ariddle
I've never bought into the whole 2 day 1 night thing.
If you need a hotel then you must be a fair drive away, losing a fair chunk of either day getting there/back or setting off really early/getting home late, you cant really enjoy yourself.

Makes more sense to offer more nights than days, so you get your full time in the park and time to relax after.

I've never really thought of it like that, but, I totally agree.

It's £39 online too.
But delivery for me is £35...
Unbelievable.
Ikea delivery is always £35 for everyone anywhere.... except small items can be delivered using normal carrier service which cost about £7
So the bottom-line cost of the wardrobe is almost twice the advertised price...
Well yes if you have to have it delivered.... £35 delivery charge is a fixed price no matter you are buying only one piece of furniture or furnitures for your entire house iirc so someone would find it to be all right.
Considering there are only ~20 stores in the whole country, I would say that delivery is the only viable option for a LOT of people.
Sure and is that the OPs fault? Its a good price for those with Ikea nearby.
No, but that small detail was conspicuously absent.
Ok I'll give you that maybe OP should have said collection only or stated delivery price. But I'm sure the few extra minute or so finding delivery charge has not endangered your life and busy schedule.
You have no idea how busy my schedule is.

Considering that a significant majority of the UK population live at urban population centres hence within a decent distance of an IKEA store, I would say that delivery is an unnecessary option for a LOT of people.

So it is unnecessary for a lot of people, yet necessary for a lot of people. What's your point?

Unbelievable.

No, but that small detail was conspicuously absent.
Ok I'll give you that maybe OP should have said collection only or stated delivery price. But I'm sure the few extra minute or so finding delivery charge has not endangered your life and busy schedule.
You have no idea how busy my schedule is.

We all know how busy it is, as you have plenty of time to post facetious comments on this post !

3-11? Are you **** serious? 12-15 young adults, 16 and up adults?

3-16 Kids
17-18 Young Adults
18 up - Adults

I always think its stupid and fraudulent that they never charge the same, why does it even matter? you can have like 10 kids go and its cheaper then 2 adults

We stayed in the o on cloof in Bantry Bay lovely little place.

Thanks, I'm going in Feb, looking at going along the coast to St Lucia as well.
We stayed in the o on cloof in Bantry Bay lovely little place.
We had a leaflet given to us at the hotel and they booked the day trips for us. 1 to see cape of good hope and whales and penguins and another for wine tasting. Took a hop on hop off bus one day that also takes you to the cable car for table mountain

Such an amazing city. So much to see and it's so cheap once you there. Went to the sort of high end restaurant you wouldexpect to pay hundreds of pounds for in London had 5 course wine and food tasting menu cost £30 all in. Loads of decent day trips to see whales, go on a vineyard tour, go up table mountain etc

Did you get some sort of guide to find the day trips etc or just found it all out there?
