You would be better off spending Tesco vouchers on something that gives you 4 times the value of the vouchers like Pizza Express tokens, where you get £60 of tokens for £15 of Tesco Vouchers, whereas you pay £15 for the railcard that is worth £30
I thought the same thing. This card was also posted for £25 last week on HUKD so even less of a good deal.
If you asked your parents whether they would give you £30 for £60 worth of food at Pizza Express, Ask, Prezzo etc I'm sure they would bite your hand off.
They get half price food and you get a railcard for £15 of clubcard points, win-win!
Are they Pizza express gift cards that you get from Tesco Clubcard point?
No it's an offer which can't be used in conjunction with any other offers.
4x your tesco clubcard points on food at pizza express, prezzo etc.
Great value IMO and doesn't exclude anything! Their offers on their website after for mains only and exclude a lot of items.
Thanks OP - was looking into part payment as knew I had a few vouchers - checked and had enough (just) for the card - just in time for kid's 16th next week - Brill

So it's about £10 so just over ten percent.

Late summer all shops are starting to slowly clear stock in anticipation for Xmas season
The 4x vouchers is usually only for other uses like lego land tickets or restaurants etc not for use at tesco to buy
So i man maths it's a free Lego!
It will be £40 as deals where points x4.
How much are those points worth, let's say in 4x vouchers?

Buying old stuff. Full HD is finished now. Buy 4k
Give me a good quality HD any day. Unless the screen is massive (80ins) or you're sat within a few feet of the screen, your eye can't discern the difference between HD and UHD.
The difference is very clear in 40 inch TV as well. 4k is set of technologies not just only the screen.
4k is primarily a set of marketing based 'advancements' to get people to buy new Tvs and take out subscription services and is for well off people or people who have to have the latest stuff.
A good HD screen beats a average 4k screen; a poor backlit, poor contrast 4k picture still has a poor contrast and a poorly lit picture...Full HD never beats 4k. 4k is real not marketing. I guess you have never seen 4k TV.
I have and only the good (read expensive) 4k sets have a good picture. Picture detail is only one facet of screen performance...

Masteryates - How about reading the specs before guessing. iPad mini 2 has 1gb memory, iPad mini 1 has 512. DO NOT BUY A 1 they are painfully slow.
my daughter has a mini 2 and it is fine but my other daughter has a mini one and nothing wrong with it at all and is not slow either as it also has apple support yet.
Not sure how apple support can make it go faster but anyway. ok it's your daughters have you actually spent anytime on it and compared to a newer Ipad believe me when I say you would give up after 5 mins.
i have used the mini one and it is fairly quick but then it is only 1 month old got brand new (cheap for 6 yr),then i have the mini 2 retina which is my other daughters (who is 4 and again got cheap second hand for £50) and my son 13 has ipad air 1 wifi and 4g (got new last year for £190) and my ipad air 2 wifi and 4g (new last month for £200) and my sons ipad air is slower probably because of all the apps.but the mini is fairly nippy still but is hardly anything on it except 2 apps my wee girl likes.

Have you installed all the updates? if you have fair enough, obviously fine for your/her needs. If like me you want to use it as your main tablet and use it daily then it's not for you. iPad mini 2 should be fine with the 1gb.

Why the cold votes?
Can anyone advise where you can buy an apple mini 2 for a cheaper price in August 2016?
The only good advice is don't buy an apple mini 2 in August 2016, a mere two and a half weeks before they're widely expected to announce the new model.
ipad mini will only drop about 20 quid but it will be a month or 2 before that happens after announcement but it will hit the second hand market better dropping the price by around 30-50 pounds off what it is now
dougal868
Well thanks for the usual HUKD love! Never sure why people feel the need to vote cold and leave daft comments - if it's not for you and you don't like it, fine, move on - do you really need to do more than that?

As it happens, I'm fully aware that this isn't the best ipad, it won't be good enough for everyone, and that's obviously fine. But I found it looking for one for my 11 year old daughter and it will suit her fine - it's the BEST price I have found (after a while of searching) for THIS particular ipad - it's a good deal if that's what you need and may be useful to someone in the same situation as myself.

I rarely come on this site these days because of exactly this, you think you find something that could be useful to others then you get shouted down because a few people think it's crap just because it's not suitable for EXACTLY what they want, never mind that it might help anyone else.

I give up.
i voted hot as it is fairly reasonable priced and also it is around £149 second hand,so for £50 more it is brand new and you do not have anyones elses problems like with a second hand one might have.i personally prefer brand new unless i know the history of an ipad from new.

Bit mean of them really when you consider their boost partners offer up to four times value and they can only offer two times on a service they offer.
Tesco only pays the partners double. So if you pay £10 in clubcard vouchers for a £40 days out token, Tesco pays them £20. This is the reason there are lots of restrictions when you use Clubcard tokens at days out venues.

I suppose if you '4x' those 300 extra points you get with this, (boost or whatever) you could convince yourself that you were only paying £9 for this???
Or £13 even lol. Whatever way, looks like you had a decent-ish buy.
Yeah, my maths is way out today. I've not opened it, so I could take it back if the general consensus is that BT handsets are poo.
They are, I would personally recommend Panasonic handsets.
Thanks for your honesty. I've taken it back.
I hope your joking about taking it back. You got a good deal on a perfectly good home phone. At the end of the day how much do you really need a home phone to do. This phone will do a perfect job of making and receiving calls and blocking most of those unwanted calls. Don't listen to 1 or 2 people who always try to put any deal down.

Hi, I asked if my account could be just managed online whilst on to customer services over the theft of my vouchers, in all fairness the second lady I spoke to was very friendly and helpful and simply noted my preference for receiving my vouchers online in the future

Maybe you can do it online, but at least if you call you can get the advisors name so if anything goes wrong it's on their head! ;)

Grab your clubcard and give them a call:

0800 591 688* or 0330 123 1688**

Lines are open

Monday to Friday - 8am to 8pm

Saturday - 8am to 6pm

:)

I was waiting and waiting for my May statement to arrive by post as it has done for years, thought I'd check online to see how much I had while waiting, had purchased a pet policy so knew I had a good few more points this qtr.... couldn't believe my eyeballs when I saw MY vouchers worth around £100 had been spent in Tesco stores miles away from where I live! .... some cheeky sticky fingered so and so's had robbed me vouchers and had the balls to spend them oO .... always thought you had to show your clubcard when spending vouchers instore? Rang customer services and the fella kept asking was I sure I hadn't been maybe on a day out and spent them! lol
Apparently this is happening loads and I've now changed from getting vouchers sent out in the post to just receiving my qtrly statement online, so keep an eye on your accounts people!
Got the points back and credited onto this month's statement, but god there's some right cheeky ***** around these days! :{

Can you make this update online?. I guess sending out vouchers in the post is askin to sending cash through the post!. You wouldn't do it, so why do Tesco.

Bad practice surely?
the cut off date was 21/7. can someone estimate when the vouchers will be available? going to a theme park in 11 days. tickets are cheaper if bought 10 days in advance. not sure if I should buy the tickets now, or wait for my vouchers to arrive, so I can use solely the vouchers to buy the tickets (fortunately the tickets are issued via email, not post).
Youngy
The way you have to enter digits from the clubcard when signing in, isn't much of a security feature if someone has the number. They should enable proper 2FA like sms or google authenticator

yeah it's crap isn't it....and everytime I log in they always ask me for the exact same 3 digits too??!! oO if boost wasn't so good they could shove their points! (_;)

Yeah happened to me once, moved house forgot to change address and new tenants opened my post and spent them. Tesco refunded them and said I'd get them in my next statement. When I asked about the clubcard being shown they said it doesn't matter most of the time. The new tenants also stole a parcel they signed for in my name had to get police involved and the agency told them to move out, they'd only lived there one week LOL

Some people are just unbelievable these days!
They'd rob the teeth from their dead granny's mouth probably!
Glad you got sorted too with clubcard points! :)

Shop at Aldi or Lidl, you'll save far more than any clubcard deal can offer. Personally I prefer the selection at Aldi to any other supermarket. Quality I find is better with the exception of fruit and veg.
Aldi & lidl are **** poor quality smaller sizes false economy!

Haven't shopped in Tesco since my shopping bill went from £200 per week to £120 at Aldi AND we manage to get a few treats in that which we couldn't previously do at Tesco... Would need a lot of clubcards points to compensate that!
Still have their credit card tho thinking of switching that too....
That's a big saving 40%, what are you buying to save so much? I was in Aldi last weekend and didn't find their prices that impressive, many items were just pennies cheaper than other supermarkets. Potatoes, cabbage and strawberries were actually more expensive, in fact the strawberries had jumped up in price from £1.29 the previous week to £1.89 last weekend, the most expensive of all the supermarkets.
So I buy absolutely everything from Aldi, meat for instance 3-4 packs of the 1kg chicken breasts per week, 3 packs of the lean mince think it's 12% fat can't quite remember, couple large chickens, booze is the other main area case of red and case of white usually the 2.99 stuff whereas can't remember last time I was able to get a bottle under £4 in Tesco and I find the dairy much cheaper 500g of grated cheese think it's about 50p bag cheaper n we get through 4 bags a week, so it all adds up, it's fair to say I've not shopped in Tesco for well over a year and I never bought the value stuff usually Tesco own label or the bogof offers and I have heard they have made an effort on price reductions but I won't go back n see as I still feel they bleed me dry and Aldi made life so much more comfortable for my family of 3 teenagers, btw I also get my premium dry dog food from Aldi now switched from Pets at home wainwrights £45 15 kg bag to Aldi 5kg for £6.99 ingredients list is virtually the same

12% that's quite high isn't it,we usually buy mince that's around 5%.
Does this apply to beer/wine bought in store in scotland.
Always thought alcohol was excluded from these types of promo in scotland.

we need some compensation for tesco taking away our clubcard boost
Wasn't the excuse because of a European rule on loyalty points...doesn't apply no more surely?

We are still in Europe.... oO

Good for local coop I guess
Shame, love Borderlands 2 but sounds like this is overly geared towards online multiplayer...call me antisocial but I'd like a good old fashioned single player story/mission based shooter where I don't have to rely on others to enjoy it.
Been cheaper and will be even cheaper soon.

Servers dead, mediocre, flop.

been thinkin about getting this, can anyone liken it to another similar game to help me decide, also is it worth getting if not planning to play online??
get overwatch instead
I heard overwatch isn't great for single player story mode though...and only good for online campaigns...That true?
Well Overwatch doesn't have a single player campaign. Only training modes. The multiplayer is great fun and very easy to get into with a lot of depth despite its simple first appearance. Battle born feels like it was manufactured for esports while Overwatch will probably be picked up by esports for its own merit if you get my meaning.
The added merit to Overwatch is that anyone is welcome to play while Battleborn feels more geared towards hardcore team players. Make of that as you will.

This game is nothing like Overwatch. Literally not even close to the same genre. Battleborn has a story mode which is enjoyable but is only a side addition the multiplayer which is the main focus with this game. Similar games would most likely be league of legends/smite/paragon and other first person mobas. This game is pretty much a first person shooter moba with a capture mode and story mode added on. The story mode is decent with friends but pretty dull playing alone.

£15.99 tickets are only for before the 1st July, so probably not best for kids as school and such like. They go up to £21.99 for "Peak" tickets. Either way, still saving! :)

Hi, just wanted to clarify. Calling up and asking to get points converted to vouchers early Tesco wouldn't do. It seems the only way around this is buying something with your existing points then getting unallocated points added to a refund. Unfortunately I had already spent my points last week :(

To be fair, some tried really hard but didn't manage to get the voucher. But for those who did get yet, yay....

Thanks op for creating this thread
I just ordered an item to use up all my club card boost points, then cancelled the order online straight away.
Rang them up to confirm it had been cancelled and when I queried about how I wouldn't be able to use those points again as this was the last boost they kindly said I would be sent a gift card voucher code to use online only which expires in 5 years.
Very happy that I could double the value of my points so easily and have upto 5 years to spend them as well.
Anybody with less points who wants to avoid the £2 click and collect charge just order an item over £30
Thanks for sharing that method which I have also successfully used a variation of.
I had £50 vouchers and 1,350 points added after the last statement.
I decided to buy an Xbox One console using the £50 vouchers doubled up as part payment on Friday.
Cancelled the order online after 5 minutes.
Under the Contact Us about Clubcard, I wrote them an email (as I knew it would always be passed on to someone who understands the query if the initial person reading it doesn't) roughly stating the following points:
I found out Microsoft were releasing a new Xbox after making my order so cancelled it.
After checking my account I found the £50 had disappeared and there was only 1,350 points.
Really wanted to use my £50 vouchers in this final double up promotion before it expires.
So could they re-issue vouchers for the £50 and 1,350 points as a goodwill gesture so that I could use them in time before the end of the promotion.
Received a call on Sunday asking for confirmation that I would accept £127 of Tesco Gift Card instead. Received the gift card code today (Monday).
So thanks to OP I now have an additional £13.50 from the points which were not part of the double-up promnotion and the gift code received is now valid on everything at Tesco Direct for 5 years instead of being restricted to certain categories during this limited promotional period. I could therefore wait for even bigger sales promotions.
Let's see the cold voters reason their way out of that!
Thanks very much luvclub. Did just as you did and bought an Xbox, then cancelled. Emailed Tesco with words to same effect. Received a call two days later stating they'd send a gift card through to my email which I can use at any time on Tesco direct. So my £75 worth of points are now worth £150 and can use them whenever I want which is brilliant all thanks to your advice.
Thanks for letting me know. It feels great to know that the time I spent writing my post wasn't wasted and you actually managed to do better than me too!
The final day of the double boost is tomorrow so it's tough luck to all the initial naysayers. They could keep hold of their ordinary tesco vouchers and pretend that it is better value swapping them for Pizzaexpress vouchers when in actual fact it is not that great since they limit you on what you could buy there so you might as well just use the normal promotional offers to pay.

GTA V on XBOX One/PS4 with Whale Shark Card - £32.99 and in Tesco Clubcard Boost

I know this has been a little cheaper elsewhere but it is a sweet deal for those with Clubcard vouchers during the boost.

Does anyone know if this is the same price in store?
-118 and no comments to say why, thanks for posting OP good deal for those with club card vouchers
Also this version of the game comes with a whale shark card code worth around £20 -£30 on its own, so if you don't feel like redeeming the code you can pretty much make your money back if you sell it. Not sure why it has so many minus points either.
See above, it's cheaper at shopto who also include the guide

I never voted either way but I posted a deal a few days ago for this plus strategy guide plus $3.5m from shopto for £31.85 so think this is why as deal is still active.

Cool. Amazon £35 order delayed. So cancelled and ordered this with crayola paints. Happy days.
Try putting the set number (21302) in the title OP. I know some people use these for alerts on the app, so it should get a bit hotter.
Given this was a £50 set when it hit the shops I think it, and a Lego Friends set, for £15.60 after my Clubcard Boost, is a bargain. I've had my eye on it for ages and never thought I'd get it at that price.
Perfect. Thanks
Fab price thank you i managed to get this and a Lego knight figure for £21 with my vouchers :)

So my sofa didn't arrive... Was scheduled in for Saturday delivery. Saturday came and went with nothing from tesco. Had to call them up and ask, was told today that they are waiting for more stock despite the online status saying "ready for dispatch". Absolute joke! I started the thread and ordered a few weeks back so can't believe they've just run out! Fuming - first homebase and now this. :(

Got stock alert this morning. 2 seater Chocolate, Demin & Slate is back. Get it ordered before Clubcard Boost ends this weekend at 23:59 26/06/2016.

Just realised it's £299.:(

Thanks - just an update. I got in touch with Tesco, argued with them for a few days, then they finally agreed to send me a slate version of the same sofa as a replacement. It turned up yesterday, so it's all ended okay in the end.

I hope everyone else got their sofas okay!

Cold, link took me to PS4 version.
Typical troll, a simple search returns the Xbox one version.
I could be wrong here but maybe the OP owns a PS4.
I don't think he was being serious pal. Turn on that sarcasm detector ;).

Most people with any sense whatsover, do own a ps4 over an Xbox one

Heat on this one! Waiting for stock alert to pop up and then I'll take some Clubcard Boost off the price. I've only had one play on this bad boy and seems quite a change from the old configuration though. Here's to giving it a go. Cheers OP!
It is - you really do have to retrain the old muscle memory..took me a couple of days to really get the hang of it on the harder difficulties.

Once you've got past that though it's great - the online mode is a lot of fun and i've not had to spend anything on DLC yet :-)

Most (not all) of very budget bikes are more like toys than proper bikes, I've even seen plastic cogs in the rear mech on some of them. Also if you build the bike yourself your warranty is usually invalid (read the small print), a lot of people get stung by this

I'm not buying a bike from somewhere that full specifications state "Brakes - Yes"

pretty mixed reviews. good price. hmm...
Coming up as £26

On Amazon check on the different sellers on the right hand side - it's still £10 - stainless steel only.
But yes unfortunately it looks like it's sold out on by Tesco - £26 is from a third party. Expect the Amazon price to increase soon too.

Hope this helps.
