Price = good
Food quality = not so good

Had too many poor meals there... won't be back.
Reasonable deal I guess but I'm always disappointed with the quality of food whenever we go there.

It's always the negative commenters that post, isn't it. Well, I've been to 2 or 3 F&B places and they've been perfectly fine. Not amazing food, but certainly good quality. Enough to make me want to go back for a nice lunch. Thanks OP :)

P.s. never had issues with the cleanliness, food or staff in an F&B. That kind of thing must vary depending on the people involved at said restaurant.

Edited By: imdurc on Apr 07, 2017 01:03
Good deal, can get a bit busy sometimes and then service suffers but that is the same everywhere.
Good music, no modern gibberish and the clientele are usually better than at the local boozer showing ghastly football.
Horrible food, waiting staff who couldn't care less, standard of cleanliness appalling. Frankies and Bennys couldn't pay me to eat there.
I remember the kids dragged me into the Harrow branch once and it was the worst service, dirtiest surroundings and truly awful slop delivered to the table.

Not a restaurant I'd ever go back to. Took my little one, and had to make her dinner when we got home. The spaghetti was just a stodgy clump. My dinner wasn't much better.
Can't watch the guy on TV spouting all his healthy eating blurb when he's happy to have his restaurants serving up badly cooked food. They should be practicing what he preaches.

Blackburn Frankie&Bennys rarely has customers when i walk past. Chiquitos, same owner and with which they shared a building with until last year has already closed. If they charge £12+ for a burger& chips then I expect they will be closing soon too. I know you have to pay for the "atmosphere" of somewhere like F&B but there are a dozen other places within a few minutes walk of F&B where you could get double burger with chips and a drink for less than a fiver. Maybe we are just spoiled for choice in this town? ps I'll stick to a foot long chicken tikka subway :)

The amount of money swilling around in this country we should all be ashamed that anybody is sleeping on the streets on any day of the year.
I might be more ashamed if I didn't know most of them have been bone idle all their lives and never bothered to try hard in school or work hard in a job

Your spending your time looking for freebies, when you obviously don't need them and looking down on the people, who might actually need the freebies.Seems a bit ironic.oO
Nothing really out of the ordaniary. Sikh temples have been open 365 days a year for the past 400 years giving free food.
These great people have just adapted their store in order to do their "seva" as Sikhs

Worth noting that if you want to keep Kidspass after the 3 month trial, if you put in that it's "too expensive" when cancelling, they offer a membership at a huge discount, around £3 (normally £7.50) per month if I'm not mistaken. I decided to keep it as the Cineworld discount is pretty decent.

Tried to use voucher today & was rejected ?? :|
All the negi Harvester comments are funny to read. They're all "incident specific".
Although Harvester food isn't exactly gourmet, its bloody good value. With free salad and free unlimited refill soft drinks... how can you complain over price!?
I'm a Harvester regular up and down the country when I am travelling, and although they are not exempt from a complaint or two from myself over the years... I still go back because it is wholeheartedly worth it.
I think some of you expect too much.
Also, back on topic, as pointed out further up, you should NEVER pay full price at Harvester as there is near enough always a deal going on. Check Vouchercloud etc or they sometimes have their own deals (I.e. this one) on their own site.
Put it this way, a couple can dine for £20-25 and be absolutely stuffed without ordering a starter. Bad value my a*se...
I would have agreed with you until recently, before the recent new menu the price of a meal was an average of £8 but now hardly anything on the menu is less than £10. If I am paying £10 for a meal then I may as well pay another couple of quid for a decent meal in an independent restaurant.
As far as I am concerned Harvester has always been a convenience food outlet and their attempts to dress it up as something more and hike the prices just makes it less interesting. I tend to be looking for reasonable low cost meals when we can't be bothered to cook or something nice on a special occasion. Harvester has now positioned themselves to be neither so we haven't been back.
Our nearest Harvester is next to ADSA so we would tend to go shopping and have a meal there, we have stopped now, not because of any complaint about the food or anything, just simply they are trying to be something they are not and priced themselves out of the convenience market. There are plenty of other places near us that offer meals for £8 or less so we simply go to them now.

Fair point and thanks for not starting a ridiculous keyboard argument like most do haha!
I fully get you though, I much preferred it prior to the menu changes, but I have grown to adapt to it now and I have no real issues aside from the burgers being nothing like the quality they were a few years ago.
Have you tried Flaming Grill as an alternative?
Our lass loves that place and since she showed me, I fell in love with it too.
They always have stupid deals on like 30/40% off (again, check Vouchercloud) and the one we go to is impeccable for the price.

The "i want it all" share platter is lovely, and although i got a bad one once, its usually spot on. £26 shared between 3 people (2 adults and a toddler) is not too bad price wise, and with this £5 off its even better
Never been back since they "improved " the menu and removed all the good stuff

Just a terrible offer for a single parent guess I'll be having a belly full (_;)
Don't know why everyone is expecting a gourmet chain, it's Mc Donald's with a playground. Keeps the kids happy and my purse, can't argue with that. Thanks op :)
yes marty we found the same there were loads of (non-reserved) tables but none for 2 people and the gestapo on the new silly desk said there was 3a 0 min wait for a table!!! lol! We said we'd go to the green king across the road as did several others. It's a downmarket pubchain not a restaurant! haven't been back. Also it's near about 5 other pubs/restaurants!!! but ta op anyway
Generally poor all round. The food is basic at best and I wouldn't like to guess the origins of the "beef". Our local (beekeeper, notts) used to be bearable for a cheap meal as the kids used to go and play for free in the play area whilst we waited for our meals (good job as we waited over one and a half hours on one occasion). On our last visit we found you now have to wait to be seated (the guy behind the bar kept shouting across to us to just wait 5 minutes someone will be coming....... we could see several unreserved tables from where we were stood). After 15 minutes we got shown our table (no choice......2 cheap, wobbly tables pushed together; which trapped our kids fingers and would have spilt our drinks.....if anyone had ever come to take our order). After a further 15 minutes and no one came we just gave up and left.
Any prospective new owners should be able to buy the place up cheap pretty soon.....unless they make BIG changes.
Ps. The offers they have can't be combined with any vouchers or Tesco rewards....not clear on their website or in the restaurant BUT you will be told when its too late and about to settle the bill!

Thanks but I think I'll give it miss. I'll save my tenner to spend in store , cook at home and have change.
I doubt you would have much change I find Asda, Morrisons etc very expensive for the food shop. Company shop is just perfect you get loads for £60-70...but you need a card (police and nhs workers I think).

Not the fastest or best food store in the world, and there is no offence intended towards the staff as I am disabled too, but our local store seems to employ the people that 'Remploy' unceremoniously dismissed just recently.
We waited three quarters of an hour for two portions of "Eggs Benedict" whilst there was only one other customer in front of us!
Cheap food , yes, save on cooking time, yes, good value, debateable, good food...................................... Nope !!!
It's fine to vocalise this on a deal site with regards to your issue in one branch, however did you speak to the manager?
Funnily enough we did. Happy now.
By the way, I love Morrisons, why else would I be on here in the first place?
Well that was a question not an attack oO
If your attitude is that bad then I wouldn't blame them for serving you dog muck on a plate! ...I was merely trying to get across that many folk simply moan esewhere (such as here) when presented with sub par services rather than address the situation in order that corrective action can be implemented.
Thanks, have you marked simply as a petulant horses @rses from hereon. :p ..likely your local Morrisons do to!

And I have marked as a stupid idiot who wants to start arguments just for the sake of it.
ElaenorHartly
I think I'll pass, because our Morrisons café ended up with a car driving into the window and coating half of the café in broken glass.

You get free entertainment while you eat too?

Yes that happens all the time I expect amd is a reason to never eat in there :{

Weird
Talk about rampant snobbery!

This is CHEAPER than McDonald's ffs!

Some of the meals are a touch grim & basically ready meals but the Fish & Chips is absolutely amazing. You'll not be able to beat that price even cooking it yourself.

Also it's about convenience ffs go shopping & feed everyone so no cooking & washing up once you get home.

Look if you don't like it then just stfu & don't go leave it fir the rest of us to enjoy as a reasonably priced treat

Good reason not to go to harvester tho :)
And they don't do chicken nuggets !!!!
Since they put their prices up recently I dont find it good such value anymore,
Also kids usually want a drink & ice cream etc. which is not included in this offer, kids 'meal deal' isnt that much more So probably not saving as much as you think
