Maybe not seen on the list but i guess you've been drinking still ones ;)
carbon dioxide.. never seen that before in the ingredients list

thats 4 pounds more than they should be

Not really - if you buy multiples of the same item in Poundland, you have to pay for all of them. It's not a 'all transactions are £1 regardless of the quantity purchased' shop.

In this example, using simple maths, these drinks are usually 4 for £1. Buying 24 cans would normally cost you £6. I worked this out by dividing 24 by 4, which gives 6. I then multiply this by £1, giving £6. This deals states that if you buy 24 cans, you can get them for £5, therefore saving £1.

See, it's not that difficult to understand really...

Good to see you stupidity continues unabated. First of all I had found the other deal prior to you posting yours, i didn't post it as like yours it is likely to be store specific so not much use for most. Also what I posted was 2p more expensive, not a big difference. I also gave the store details for where it was found.

And as for "Wow. I should really look up a deal, then find said deal elsewhere at a more expensive price. Then tell people. hmm?"

Well why shouldn't you if it is a similar price and may help others?

Though to be honest I don't imagine you will understand any of this.

Based in price you could take these, I would worry about short date. Long term just stick to own brands they contain the same quantities if you check on the label.
Also some recent research has been done to show increase of vit c reduces the severity and term of a cold.

I'd still be cautious on the sweetener thing. Industry is scrambling to produce leaf extract alternatives.
The organisations doing the studies are there to support the food products as much as they can.
With the knowledge that the West is just as corrupt as other parts of the world, nothing can be taken on face value.
All in all we have a choice. For our children's sake we make the best choices we can based on our personal circumstances .

Maybe it's a conspiracy and all these studies aren't the truth. I very much doubt it though.
There was no evidence that thalidomide or smoking was bad for you a few years ago.

There's no scientific validity in what you're saying. Humans often see cause and effect by assumption when it doesn't really exist. Your assumption that because smoking and thalidomide were originally thought safe this therefore translates to every other scenario where a substance could have a detrimental effect, this is not so. Smoking and Thalidomide have studies which show negative health effects. Aspartame has been studied significantly and there's no evidence it's significantly harmful. Anecdotal evidence is not part of scientific method, since there are uncontrollable factors at work.

This wiki explains scientific method >

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_method

As I mentioned earlier the amino acid component of Aspartame can/could give rise to negative health effects. This is DL-Phenylananine. It's an essential amino acid meaning it must be consumed to sustain life. There is a genetic disorder Phenylketonuria meaning for sufferers they must control their intake of Phenylalanine. You'd know if you had this disorder. An artificial increase in intake of Phenylananine for some people could mean negative health effects, but these are not permanent, and not life threatening.

I was wondering about the reduced sugar/energy drink bit. Doesn't the energy come from the sugar?

The whole 'energy' drink marketing ploy is a lie, but people buy it because of their sugar addiction and their weak mindset of 'needing a boost' and feeling tired - mainly due to their poor diet which gives them inadequate nutrients. I'll not even get started on the carbonated water, and the caffeine which both dehydrate you, making you more thirsty, so you drink/buy more.

Caffeine.

Lucozades main ingredient they are selling is gLUCOse syrup, the caffeine doesn't actually give you 'energy' - people seem to relate coffee/caffeine/energy, caffeine is a stimulant, it won't actually provide you with the 'energy' everyone thinks they need. The sugar rush is what people are addicted to, the coffee and caffeine do nothing, so, usually 2 heaped spoonfuls of sugar they plop in, 3, 4, sometimes 5 times a day.

Don't buy it? Try your coffee tommorow morning with zero sugar.

It's well documented, sugar activates the same region of the brain as cocaine and heroin.

Wake up people, this is legalised drug dealing by trillionaires in suits.

V Guarana Energy Drink 250ml - Standard & Blue Edition - 39p each @ Farm Foods

In my opinion, by far the nicest energy drink. Don't buy it expecting a Red Bull knockoff, it's something completely different. I never see this on offer, the best I've had previously was 2 for £1…
