Been this since launch pretty much.. My mate and I bought it for £36.95 on launch day.

Comparison to 2015?

I think the handling is more realistic, kerbs and grass actually have an effect on the car stability.
Career mode is good. Graphics barely upgraded.

It's what 2015 should have been to be honest, rather than a revolution.

The cars don't handle as accurately and it feels like you are fighting the car more this year.

The rnd part of the game just extends the career but is very boring after you have done every session for every race.

I wouldn't rush out to get it at this price.
Ralph7
Yep, the cheapest I've seen so far but still too high for me.
Going on past versions I wouldn't say it'll drop too much for Xmas.
For some unknown reason these games tend to hold their value for a long time.

F1 2015 dropped to £25 last October so it's possible this could see a similar price reduction. However this year's version has got much better reviews and is probably selling more.

TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph £1,150.00 - 48 months 0% APR finance available equalling £21.56 a month with a 10% deposit of £115 @ AMJwatches.

Pretty self explanatory, a TAG for £21.56 a month, cheaper than a phone contract. AMJwatches are extremely well known and highly respected.

I have owned the "Kimi" Tag since 2003, still keeps perfect time, and in 13 years only required 1 battery change costing £50 which included a service and the metal strap polishing taking out the scuffs, so running costs less than £3 a year. Yes they are a luxury watch and not everyone can justify spending so much on a watch but each to their own.

I can't see how

Tag Servicing Price List

The service for my TAG was £215 as per their list and Ernest Jones in-house servicing was the exact same price.

The service was through a Ebay, fully approved Tag services (or so they claim) but this was 6 years ago and the battery is still going strong.

I had an IWC Portuguese 7-days, mechanical watch, automatic movement.
It costed about £9k.
But for the two years I had it, it broke once every year. And the 2nd time it broke, the repair was not cover and costed £1,400, and took 3 months to repair.
The leather strap need to be replaced just after one more which cost £250.
I had enough of it and got rid of it.
Now I have had a Quartz watch for 2-3 years, never have any problem, and it time is always correct. Whereas the IWC movement was not procise in comparison.
For me, never an expensive watch again, never a mechanical watch again. Although they are very nice to look at.
Its luck of the draw, with anything. The next person to buy the same model will have years, with no issues.
Most of my watches, besides the citizens and Tissots and Casio's, are auto. The only one two I've had issues with are the Breitlings. Which have not been the best for time keeping, though it is way past their service time.

I agree with you to some extent.

But it costed me over £5k to have it for 2 years.

Once is enough, never again.
[/quote]

I guess I would have the same feeling, towards a brand, if I had a troublesome watch.
Everyone I've ever known who had a TAG watch has had to send it back within the first year for repair. A colleague got one from his wife for a wedding present and the minute hand fell off within a week. One I owned years ago just kept stopping even with a new battery in (and that seems fairly standard for these.) TAG wanted some silly amount of money for a service and wouldn't even guarantee that it would fix the problem - binned it.
look for jesus islam in Turkey. great time piece shop and ships internationally.

This company will fleece you all the way to their bank. I speak from experience that my car has never had more issues that when it was tested and serviced here. since changing company it much better. Probably been said before on here but try using the local council run MOT centre as it is not in their interest to find fault with your car. Obviously if it has issues they will find them .

trust me, no garage will do mot's at a loss. they will purposely find a "fault" with your car.
at what point does it become a loss?

When it costs more for them to do the MOT test than they are charging for it...which at £22.42 is probably borderline

No sh.t genius.

However, do the garages pay anything to the DVSA at all for doing the test?? If they did, that would make their cut/profit margin obviously smaller.

The place I go, charges £29.99 and don't do repairs, so never any reason to unnecessarily fail/ or try to charge for repairs you may not need.

Paying more, doesn't mean you'll get a more honest service.
Oh god here we go again.

I've been using F1 Autocentres (Southampton and 2 Bristol branches) for all my MOTs on various cars (including 20+ year old ones) for years using these £22-odd voucher codes. Never had any undue fails.

But then I look after my cars and fix stuff as I go along rather than wait for an MOT fail to force the issue.

Edited By: Nealio on Aug 22, 2016 19:59: added some words
Most small garages charge around £60 hour and main dealers around £110

So if there doing Mots all day long which have to take a minimum 40 minutes there onto possible loss...

But always handy on quiet days to fill the diary, but might not be good for the punter :|

Had a few of these, full of gorgeous pictures.
I've collected a fair few motorsport books over the years but the passion, let alone space,is no longer there alas
Can't say I've kept up with the prices either but this seems a fair deal and for my sins, I do have a 1981/82 copy on the shelf
Usually a load of reasonably priced heavyweight motorsport tomes can be had from the likes of 'The Works' and even the pound stores sometimes throw a few smaller ones in the mix
Hope the heat given is not in vain ;)

What? Like more or less most things!!!!

Oakley are VERY famous amongst cyclists. The main choice of sunglasses for the pro peloton. Very good.
Oakley, like Ray-Ban and most other fashion brands are made by an Italian company called Luxotica who also own most of the big retailers. If you want an eye opener watch https://youtu.be/voUiWOGv8ec .

These usually drop in price very quickly after release.

No they dont? The lowest I have seen 2015 go for is around £12 (ignoring the Amazon price glitch) and 2014 still shows up in sales for £7.50(ish).

Edit: Just seen the CDKeys price. That would be the better option. Obviously for pricing, but if there is a slight decrease in price, CDKeys have been known to refund the difference.

Still, a good price based on the Steam pre-purchase. It's looking to be a good one this year after Codemasters laid the foundations for the revamp to the series last year.

It's a good deal but I would advise against going to large chains for specialist jobs. Use local mobile air con technicians - I've had my air con serviced and recharged for £25 in front of my house.
Saying that, I've spent about £3000 on repairs at Formula One over the years...

Thank you for your sound advice. I hope people on here will listen to what you have said, I sure as hell will! I have a colleague who, like you, told me to go to a local garage rather than F1, who may I say, have had not hundreds but thousands of £'s off me....I'm sure some / most was for nowt!

I am happy I did. Local garage guy is fantastic and as honest as they come.

I have just fitted a full set of these to my Subaru WRX and although they are outstanding in the wet, they do suffer from a lot of flex in the tyre walls so are not really suitable for spirited driving. The car feels unstable during cornering as if it is twisting from the centre point. If you plan on using them for normal driving then they are a great purchase but if you like to push on from time to time I would try something else on a similar budget like Falken or Toyo. Heat added for the deal but I won't use them again for my needs.

run them at a higher pressure than you normally would, an extra 2-4 psi really helps and you lose no comfort (not that it matters in a wrx, lol)
I will give that a shot. Comfort is something I don't associate with the WRX thats for sure!

Did anyone go? Hope it was a good day out.

I went, it was a nice few hours out. Not a huge amount of track activity but well worth going and great weather too
Did anyone go? Hope it was a good day out.
Just turn up as its not a ticketed event. I shall pop along as its local for me
The only location mentioned in the article is "The action will run from 9am to 5pm with fans granted access to the international pit-straight grandstand."

No sign of registration, but having gone to Silverstone last year there are multiple activities and buildings you can access most days both within and immediately around the circuit, so there weren't any entrance checks (wasn't a race day). While most of the seating grandstands will likely be closed, Silverstone has plenty of space around the circuit with good views for the cars going round so space really won't be a problem.

Mines arrived, good fit and not bad feel of the leather - can't believe they have ever sold at £90 or whatever it was tho.
JPS
Everyone jokes but I love Puma driving shoes. You can feel the pedals much better than some of the monstrosities people wear on their feet whilst driving. A must if you love driving.

Yup me too especially if you have a car with the pedals all very close together compared to other cars, you need something narrower than the usual. All the Puma driving style shoes I have are the most comfortable all very light and just so comfortable. I've tried the Adidas Porsche range but not upto the same as the Puma Cat/Drift range which basically all these are just branded with whichever F1 team they are sponsoring, upon saying that the Red Bull range they have look terrible and don't appear to be driving shoes at all. Give it a while and they will all be heavily reduced!

Have Bugatti kicks

Yeah though they have nothing to do with Bugatti. Bought the pair I posted below and 2 months later both the first eyelets tore right through, although Amazon did refund me.

Are these fire proof? Need a pair to go with my racing jumpsuit and the colour matches my helmet (was lucky, found a nearly new one on Gumtree)

Had an mot and service there recently, it was fine
Three_line_whip
Took advantage of one of these offers earlier this year. Failed on a leaking fuel filter - even though I'd never smelt petrol. They charged me over £20 for a £7 filter plus fitting. Won't ever be going back.

if the fault is there, they have to fail it, you would be the first one moaning if your car had caught fire

ohhhhh it had just been in for an m.o.t. 2 weeks ago, how did they pass that, i'll sue them

sound about right ?

They are very cheap on tyres, I use them for the last 4-5 years but nothing else. Quoted me £240 to change rear disks and pads on C-max LOL
This should go as cold as a cold thing. Who is stupid enough to think this is a deal?
Edit. Sorry OP. These deals are nothing but a con. Think about it!

Edited By: Zontes on Apr 22, 2016 19:59
Aye hub caps missing drivers near side, it's a write off pal. That'll be £3,000 here's the free screen wash you came for you going to drink it from the bottle or you wanting a straw? Straws are £9.95 btw
Lol and ur right. Anything to get money out of you
And no doubt they will find 9 things wrong with the car that need charging for.

gone up now :(
Just going to get some tyres from them - they price matched kwik fit (cheapest i could find on michelin pilot sports!) and gave me 10% of diff.

Wont let me add aircon onto same booking, but let me do it separately for £20 :)

Good voucher!
My local (Shrewsbury) is showing up as £39 reducing to £34 so I gave them a call and they matched the £20 with no problems. I'm booked in for next week. Thanks OP.

Superb deal, very good lens (£247 on it's own). Voted hot!
wow thats really good, i pointed to a great deal for this at almost 400quid but was out of stock anyway!

instock and 50quid cheaper.... not bad ;)

(edit - the bag in that accessory set is too big for this lens so lots of empty space at front, obviously if getting a different lens usability will vary - seems to be for 14-42 kit)

Edited By: brilly on Apr 14, 2016 16:50
Bargain with this lens. Best travel combo without zoom. I wish to have money now..

All mot stations are the same, if their not busy they try to find something wrong, when booking now I always tell them if anything needs repair I'll do it myself, they don't want to waste their time on a free retest so if it does fail you know it needs repair.
sounds like a scam at its best #upsell

Local council MOT stations are usually the best.
They dont repair cars atall they are just testing stations, so there is no profit in failing it uneccessarily.
Its where your local Private Hire drivers have to get their tests done.
Problem is there are none local to me, and I live in London!
There are seven in London, Here is a listhttp://www.ukmot.com/Council-MOT-Test-Centers/London
Yes, but there's a limit to how far I am willing to go. It is made to seem that as they are council each council will have one, far from it.

Retest £14.75 if you they don`t fix the car... No thanks
