Did this last year and it was an amusing time with the monkeys at the end.
All was well with the little blighters until they started pulling my windscreen trim off on the last corner before the exit!!!
Luckily one of the keepers managed to retrieve the trim and I could then refit it.
Many people had a lot of damage to their cars but for the price paid (we stayed at the Travelodge) it was a worthwhile day out.
Should keep your kids inside the car X)

I disagree. I took my kids (aged 13 and 15) to Knowsley just before Easter 17 and it was a great day out. The Safari itself was good, with lots to see, but then we went around a bit of a mini zoo too with various animals (including giraffe's), followed by a sea lion show and then a bat cave. I paid more than this for 3 of us and thought it was good value.

Knowsley is not what it used to be, very disappointed in our last visit.
West Midlands is about 10 times better.

Was just going to ask this lol. Wanted to know how does it compare to WMSP

Sure here's a watch debate; they are obsolete with the advent of smartphones.
Discuss.
EDIT: Deleted the offer of a watch debate? Aww :|
Its like saying A gold chain is obsolete because i could wear a piece of string, like theDobbus says its jewellery and very well crafted.
Functionally, a piece of string is more useful than a gold chain though ;)

Not when its wrapped around your wrist it is not. Also if you ever need any quick cash and buy the right watch/gold chain you can always sell it for instant cash.i bought my omega for £550 in 2000 and sold it in for £950 in 2009.
Seems to be £125 cheaper at the same shop following this link
A good classic watch is a great investment, if affordable!
Bilbo1968
Lovely watch it's the one I wear on a Thursday.

Most Omega (albeit Speedmaster) owners wear theirs on a Tuesday. It's actually a thing.

Nice watch, and great price. Don't know why this is cold.

Thanks. Just gone to book.and sold out :(
Actually, I don't think you can get in early, but you do get fasttrack for the first hour (presumably on the 2nd day).
And you get exclusive late access to Wild Asia.
Thanks for posting. Does this include early entry to the park? Or are the perks being able to walk in and out of the park to the tent and the late night opening of Wild Asia?

Thanks

With the Blu-ray box set around £10 upwards

Didnt everyone just jump on it when it was a fiver a couple of months back?
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/family-guy-trilogy-laugh-up-fuzzball-blu-ray-5-prime-7-99-non-prime-amazon-2563252

I remember buying it for £5 from Play.com (!!)

Can still get it 'as new' from Amazon for a fiver.

Each episode is only around 50mins so its like a double episode... Which £2/£2.50... just seems steep.

The trilogy in HD is actually cheaper on Amazon (£6.99) plus we get to burn all our Super Saver Discounts :)

That does suck balls! The DLC is still lsited at £3.99. I wonder if we contacted MS Xupport if they would let us return the standard edition for the version with DLC since the sale was only a couple of days difference. Have Microsoft officially implemented that Return a Game process they talked about recently?

was there yesterday with my family. Average wait for a ride 40 minutes. Absolute disaster and waste of money
Guess you don't go to theme parks very often then. 40 mins is a pretty short queue. Personal advice - stay away at busy periods (like next weekend - at least you went before half the country went onto half term!
For those who don't mind waiting - I think Legoland is amazing!
We got the annual passes through tesco 2 years ago and went about 10 times in the year.

THIS! We went in September last year for 2 days, stayed at the Hotel and had a brilliant time. Walked on everything. It's all about timing with LEGOLAND and all theme parks really. If you go on a bank holiday/during school holidays obviously it's going to be busy. No point moaning about it!
Recently came back from Legoland. It was busy on monday (bank holiday) and surprisingly busy on Tuesday too. Long waiting ques, Q Bot for an additional cost and lets you reserve the ride but only once the ride waiting time is up.
Overall lot of walk and few rides. We waited 45 minutes and ride time was less than 3 minutes.
Dont think I'll be going back to Legoland again.

Edited By: asifbutt on Apr 20, 2017 21:16
This is cheaper than buying tickets direct!
Any advice on the Q Bot please?
I am not visiting Legoland until they put some sort of cap on number of people allowed to start with. It's like herds are allowed to wonder as they like. Not surprise, why would they offer second day free /discounts, because management is aware that family of four would not have chance to get on all rides at least once in one day, looking at number of people allowed to graze in.

As mentioned on this forum and on previous thread, it's a queue land. I got two boys 7 & 4 and it's very difficult to keep them entertained for an hour while waiting for their turn to get on five minutes ride. I can go on for another half an hour but rather not waste my time. I will take my kids somewhere else and there are lots of places, where they can have decent day out for the money I pay for Legoland and top of that a lifetime memories of crying children while waiting on queue. NEVER AGAIN…..

Hi guys i really need someone's help! I've booked with Thomas Cook around 10 days ago to go to Florida was around £600 each including car hire with basic insurance. I've just spoken to them after reading a comment on here and they've informed me i have to pay $630 extra for the car when i arrive?! Our hotel is a while away from where we wanted to be but this news has completely ruined everything. We can't afford to pay an extra $630 on arrival and so does anyone know if there is a way to get around this? I feel like we've had our dream holiday completely ruined :(
Unfortunately standard policy for tour ops to do this. Many people don't use/collect the package car and book their own separately. I have booked a 7 seater minivan in Cali for around £400 for 16 nights in August/Sept. You can buy an insurance policy in UK that will cover you but the desk on arrival will say it isn't adequate and give you the hard sell, personally never done this.

It amazes me how so many people can still afford Florida. I went in 2016 and it was ridiculous then, but this year the 14 day Disney pass is £100 more per person, and the weak pound just makes the price of everything you buy way too expensive.
It amazes me what people spend when they go to Florida. I've read stories of people spending $100-150 per day each, that is crazy, we spend $60 a day for a family of 4 and have a great time. Also once you've done the parks you don't need to keep doing them, i find the Seaworld/Busch/Aquatica/Legoland 14 day pass is plenty to keep kids happy and costs £127 each. 2 weeks for 2 adults and 2 children (over 3) . We are going in May, staying in a Rosen (the best decent priced chain by a mile) for 2 weeks and the whole thing will cost £2500. People spend that going to Spain for 2 weeks.
You can spend less than that too. I personally like doing twin centre, a week in the parks and all the manicness that comes with it, then a week somewhere like Clearwater for a relax.

I'm after a 2 day ticket for Universal studios, can you recommend the best deal?
You will struggle to find much saving on a 2 day ticket.
Undercover tourist do a 2 day base ticket for $209 plus you get 2 more days free.
If you wanted to hop between parks then $263 plus 2 days free. https://www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/universal-orlando-resort/#tickets
The 2nd ticket which allows you to hop is only a few £'s cheaper than the 14 day ticket at £227ish (possibly cheaper shopping around, finding discount codes and cashback) https://www.floridatix.com/park-tickets/universal-orlando

How on gods earth is this glamping? It's nothing of the sort.
Because you get a cosy warm dry pod with a bed not a tent like traditional camping.

Its a shed with two camp beds in it? Warmth - provided by 'a hot water bottle on request'.
'Glamping' is traditionally used to describe camping without losing life's luxuries. Eg. Water, Electricity, Cooking equipment, Bedding (sheets duvets), WC.....
Two bare camp beds in a 'pod' is far from glamorous and has none of these luxuries. X)

Hot deal. If only I saw this earlier.. Last day of my Scotland holiday tomorrow.
This is pretty BS as Edinburgh is under an hour from Glasgow (and vice versa) but appears not to be included to visit each other?!
Go get your Independence, I wont miss you.
this has been on offer for year actually mind you use to scratch the foil off to pick where to go.. also other rail networks might offer similar... you missed out a trip to Largs and then the ferries to Millport though :)
Great spot, heat added.

this is a grey import as brown's are not authorised distributors wheas Goldsmiths ate.

the little extra is worth it for this watch.

the 300m at Brown's is good value though

I believe they have 5 shops in the North Yorkshire area listed on their website, maybe someone on here can confirm, agree they are not listed as authorised dealers on Omega website.
They probably would not get authorised due to the heavy discounts they offer.
Never the less Omega wants to shift watches like everyone else, wouldn,t surprise me if Browns order direct from them.

One thing I know from fact is that you can get a really good discount from a authorized dealer just ask! especially the smaller ones. In December last year I enquired at authorised dealerTB Mitchell in Perth on the best deal that he couuld offer on a Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, he got the calculator out and hit a few buttons and gave me a price of £2800 list was £3340. They ordered one for me from Omega which I purchased in January came with the large box, nato, velcro straps, loupe the whole package.
Omega have just recently increased the prices on their watches also.

Kraft/Mondelez should be ashamed of themselves for what they've done to an ethical company which used to make a quality product. Not the first time they've done it either and probably won't be the last. Still, I don't suppose they have any shame genes in their greedy corporate bodies!

I buy Aldi chocolate these days - much better than the latest Cadbury branded stuff and a lot cheaper too.

Edited By: Besford on Apr 06, 2017 14:03
Here's an artist's impression of this factory tour after the Mondelez International takeover of Cadbury:

http://pbfcomics.com/archive_b/PBF153-The_Golden_Ticket.jpg
Cold! They removed the word "Easter" from Easter Egg Hunt.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel with tasty breakfast & we had a great day out at Cadbury world too. I recommend it!
So, it's good if you are 6.
Otherwise don't bother seems to be the consensus.

And yes Kraft have killed Cadbury, be it the taste of the chocolate or the social conscience of the Bourneville ideals.

I've renewed and upgraded:
Cancelled sky hd a few days ago. 60% off appeared on my account (was on 50% off). Went on chat, got £50 credit added. The key is to take the original equipment deal first, then upgrade to sky q. The maximum discount before this was 25%, but you can transfer your discount now.
Upgraded to 2TB plus minibox for £100 (have the £50 credit in my account). All in all the same as I was paying roughly for sky hd and now have sky q. Hope it's good!

How did you upgrade? Through the chat or is it an option on the account?

I ended up with 60% off and £50 credit too which equates to around 71% effective discount.

anyone buying 2 day ticket be warned you can't upgrade to merlin passes
Thanks for the heads up op

Was going to do this last time they had the offer.

I chose the Maidenhead Holiday Inn. For 2 days park and the hotel I think it is a very good deal, even if you did the 1 adult child free offers you'd be looking at £90 for first day and £90 for a second which is already more than a lot of the offerings here.
