GoG... You getting this? Thinking of adding it to the collection further down the line, but the Day One price for the "misprint edition" sure is mighty tempting.
grizzl33
Supposedly the first print of this has an error in the manual (it's printed backwards) this could make it a rarity down the line. Provided it gets a second print of course.
It's now up in price... Was thinking of buying the game as well (only because of the printing error).

Tempting.
Didn't realise there was a physical version being released. Cheers for posting OP ;)
excellent!! cheers!!
It is also on Xbox digitally but obviously minus the Full House Edition content. Jim Sterling mentioned it being his favourite game of the year so far!
This is a fantastic game and well worth this. Nice to see a game breaking the mold of boring, cookie cutter releases we keep getting.

Whether people like virgin or not this is still a really good deal. Heat!!
Try being with Sky in the middle of a city centre with 2.5MB with a service that constantly drops out.

I think if you have a problem with your service you are pretty screwed whoever you are with.
Changed from Sky to Virgin 3 years ago, I'd never go back, our Broadband is amazing!! the box is slightly clunky compared to Sky but now I much prefer it especially the new V6 box..customer service too has been brilliant! had 2 problems with Superhub 3 but had an engineer in 2 days and now all sorted!

Watch with the speed test as they use specific ports so VM know exactly when they are run and no doubt let the traffic flow fast.
Rubbish. Most of the tests use the standard http ports. I suppose you have some links to back up this theory?. Im guessing not.
Clearly a disgruntled ex Virgin customer, or possibly frustrated you cant get Virgin where you are?.
Yes, standard ports than can let the traffic flow. Where's the evidence they don't? Search Google for speed test manipulation. If they can block a torrent site I'm sure they can manipulate a speed test. I get 200meg apparently that stops when it feels like it - several times a day and their super hubs are crap. Even my catch-up TV buffers like 2001.
Yes, I've been saying that, odd how a teck can turn up and the problems are solved when they run a test on their mobile device... then leave and the problems are back... Exactly the same with the call centres too, run the tests while on the phone then 5 mins later it's bust.... Regardless of the 221meg, 9 ping and 12 upload, you can't even watch a youtube vid without constant buffering... with SKY on between 20-25meg we had zero problems, the numbers do not matter to me as long as we have a constant reliable service, you don't get that with Vermin Media, just get big numbers, faults and lots of lies.
mmurdoch
Jenn101
I'd advise anyone to check out the feedback on V.M social media pages first... Where some people may have a reliable service, the majority do not as many areas are over utilised... Massive outages ate peak times, weekends and even when you do get the BB service speeds you are paying for, you still get drop offs and frequent buffering..... Add the totally dire Customer Service to the mix with reps who blatantly lie (even the techs say they are lying) just to fob you off... Not worth it.... Paying a large sum of money for a massive headache....
Got to agree with these comments, had Virgin's up to 200mbs for a year and it was really **** poor, nowhere near advertised or the speeds I was told when purchasing. High utilisation just killed it for me, Fobbed off for a year about them improving it, complete garbage for me. The only thing that made it slightly bearable was the accounts credits but even that was a pain having to ring up every month them some numpty basically talking crap.
Glad I left them
For 5 days we're had no catch up or on demand services, the internet drops off repeatedly.... After trying to get a Tech booked we had lies from V.M saying our area had been upgraded (fix the over utilisation problem), yet the techs have told me it was supposed to be done in Feb but it's nowhere near even being looked at....... The V.M call centre said they could not help me and to call back again tomorrow, they said they'd get a Manager to call me, literally peed myself laughing as that is the typical fobb off reply which made me extremely IRATE..... Explained that I knew about the fake claims of management calls and got empty promises... No call from V.M over 2 days... Only response now is to keep checking the service updates - our problems are not even on there........... For the people that have the service and have had no problems - well done, but for those who get problems it's never ending... So just pray your service remains stable or not too many others take up the service in your area!

I dont think its possible to beat what I got from Virgin, £15 a month for Player Package/Tivo, 50mb broadband and weekend calls and a £50 credit to my account. This includes the line rental and broadband. Ive got Sky for my TV anyway but £15 is worth it just for the broadband and line rental.

Do you mind if I ask how you got this deal? Best I've been offered is 50mb broadband, player tv with free sky sports and movies to 3 months, and phone for £25p/m :(

Just put in my notice for cancellation. so fingers crossed for a call. Ive actually already got a good deal with Sky.
got half price TV and Sky Fibre unlimited for 6.01.
So monthly price is
Sky Q standard package and Cinema: £20
Sky Fibre Unlimited: 6.01
Line Rental: 18.99
Total : 45 per month
(option to remove Sky cinema at any time reducing price to 36 pounds per month)
I actually also managed to get quidco cashback which has all tracked (total £150) which is also handy.
So total for 12 months is £540 (£432 without sky cinema)
The gentleman on the cancellations team actually offered me the full house bundle for 45 pounds... IF i paid the advance line rental.... which seems silly because thats a total of 61 pounds per month! (line rental saver works out at 16.3 per month if you break it down)... thats more than the new customer price of £55 per month which sucks basically. So basically they are going to have to offer me the full house bundle PLUS sky cinema AND pay for my line rental @ £45 per month to keep my custom this time.

Did you get a call with a better deal? Looking for one myself now

Best i got offered was 21 per month for 70mb and weekend calls. Thats after putting in an order to sky...stupid how everyone gets offered different deals and weve been with virgin for over 15 years!

Phone up and cancel. They call you back within the 30 days cancellation period and bend over backwards for you.

Last year I got my line rental paid - £185 for the year

I called them as my year is up, apparently they don't do that any more ...
The deal I was offered was pitiful.
I said, we'll I'll phone back when my year is up and give my 30 days notice. Lets see if I can get this deal!!

That is not true, unless it has stopped in the past month. I have seen reports on various forums where someone had put in their notice and an order elsewhere resulting in an Outbound Retentions call and free line rental offered as part of the deal.

Me:
Hi, I upgraded my account yesterday to this deal. The lady confirmed it was a 12-month contract but I've been told its 24 month plan, minimum. Can you confirm? Also my profile says I have no broadband, can you check this?

Thanks. I changed my account to the £39pm Full House Movies packed. It should have 200MB internet. My brother also recommended me so £50 credit should be applied for him and myself

Upon checking your package is Full House movies limited edition with 200mbps broadband and telephone with weekend calls for £39.00 per month for 24 months on a 12 month contract.
10:15:04
Me:
So does that mean i'm only signed in for 12 months at £39pm?
10:15:48
Lorena:
That is correct but the discount deal is for 24 months.
10:16:49
Me:
Great so I could keep it for 24 months at £39pm.

I signed up yesterday but they told me it was 24 months contract not 12 months :(
Was the deal locked to 24, or just 12 months of the 24?

Yeah the guy on the phone told me it will be 24 months minimum. I did ask him to make it 12 months but he refused.

I signed up yesterday and the lady said it was 12 months only. Have you got your contract through
Just called up and confirmed this is only 12 months minimum. Apparently they have to tell you the price after 12 months incase you keep it and/or forget to cancel. I've set a reminder up for 11 months to call and haggle.

AVOID VIRGIN
I took out their Vivid so-called 100 Mbps Unlimited Fibre package, recently - speed tests (wired ethernet without any other downloads in background on a virus/spyware-free machine) revealed 20-30 Mbps on a daily basis, in the afternoons and evenings !!
Interestingly I get around 85 Mbps at 3.30 A.M. when nearly the whole country's fast asleep
Virgin are clearly deceiving and cheating their customers ! Avoid at all costs.
or base it on your own experiences...
I'm on 200Mb and it's always around 180, even with 2 teenage kids hammering it gaming

Been with VM for over 10 years, only needed an engineer out once, he changed the media box for a TiVo box.
The only grumbles I have are price in increases and retention deals which don't stick. Am currently mid cancellation having been offered a deal with BT that I couldn't refuse.
Up to VM retentions and outbound team to make me a better offer to keep my continued custom..

I just got a retention deal with then 2 weeks ago. will stick with that because I was on the phone for over an hour with them and the engineers have already been.
Sensible Question Mode On
My current deal with them ends 1st week of Dec.
Any tips on how I can get a decent retention? I'm useless at getting any deals. Last time I threatened to leave, handed in notice, but they didnt relent. Offered my minor reductions.
Ended up begging them to let me back - and paying more than what they had offered!!
I have Unlimited Landline, 50MB Broadband (Superhub 3), Basic Tivo pack which I have now disconnected as we never use it. Paying £29.99/month. Assuming it goes up to £33/£34 in Nov.Sensible Question Mode Off
you're actually getting a really really good price as you have the hub 3 which is relatively new. I'm paying 53 pounds for 2 tivo boxes unlimited phone Inc to UK mobiles 70mb Internet and m+ channels

Am I? :{

Superhub3 is not doing the job. Had it 2 weeks. Really disappointed. So many Wifi drop outs. Family curse me everytime they use the net.....

£53/month? You must have a serious lot of bundles with them! Phone & Broadbandis all we need. They can take away Mr Tivo

I was on mates rates which started at 54 but with all the price hikes it was coming up to 70 pounds. tbh I've still got 7 days to change my mind. I've been with them for years now and never once had an issue with them (maybe cos I'm mice n polite lol) ... the two engineers came out for free yesterday, usually they charge 40 pounds but I charmed the customer service operstor! :D

A lot easier for the ladies to charm their way into a good deal...

I'm very pleasant on the phone but it doesn't get me far.

Will you ring on my behalf? :p

Assuming it goes up to £33/£34 in Nov.Sensible Question Mode Off
I find the best way to get a deal from Virgin is to call them during the day so you have a good chance of speaking to someone in a UK call centre and ask for the customer services department.
Be friendly and polite and tell them you are really struggling to keep up the current payments and that you really don't want to leave them but with your current financial situation you unfortunately may have to consider leaving.
Then ask them outright can they help you out by reducing the payments too make it easier to afford.

Great advice. Its not far off the truth. Been hit with some serious financial issues this year so might need to adopt this strategy.

I have the 200mb package and it's fine in the off peak hours but at peak hours it goes down to 5mb. Some 2.5% of my promised and paid for speed, my mobile phone is faster.
I've complained many times and each time I have been told it will be fixed with in 3 months. This he been on going for a year now. The reason for this crippling speeds is that my area is over subscribed. Instead of virgin turning away people they take their money even when they know they can not provide the service they are selling. This along with the regular price increases has made what was once a good service poor.
Just signed up and exactly my problem - down as low as 10 meg in peak hours, at 6am on a Sunday it is 215. Disgraceful. I am cancelling, as once you suffer 'utilisation' (contention) you could be waiting years for infrastructure upgrades- all the while they keep selling to other smucks in the area, actually adding to the problem.

FibeMAx=76Mb Down 19 Up we get 85 Mb down!

Qbox and big box sets (nice bit of kit)

I told Virgin as my contract had ended and the guy starts telling me there is no way it was that cheap, they could not come anywhere near it.

So far, so good, not had anything other than Virgin BB so time will tell how the BT fibre does in the long run:-)
hi which number did you call?

I've just cancelled my contract with them but took a new one out when they offered me £40 per month for 150meg with Superhub 3, M+ TV and phone. That includes the £3.50 increase next month we'll all have to pay.
How long before they called you back?
Can you give a rough local where you life e.g. West London etc. Reason why I ask is my uncle tried the cancel route in the midlands and they let him go lol.
At the moment I am in the 100mbit however I seem to get 120
10 days I think it was, it takes 30 days to cancel so you've got plenty time to wait. They rang the house phone and asked why I was leaving, I told them its to much and they offered me the above straight away.
I'm from Newcastle hence the thumb lol
When I signed up last November, I was paying £2.49 for 50mb + line rental. My price was to go up to £5.99 (so over 100% increase) in Feb so I phoned up, complained and asked to leave. Retentions waived the increase as a credit so I was still effectively paying £2.49.
I got my letter of another increase a few weeks back with an increase this time of £3.49, so £5.98 would be my bill for bb each month. I spoke with retentions mentioning I wanted to leave and would be going to Sky and the very nice lady I spoke with didn't just waive the cost for the remainder of my contract which ends in May, but also gave me a small discount on my bb each month, so I'm now effectively paying £2.29 per month + line rental.
If you speak with retentions, and ask nicely, Virgin will more than likely waive the charge. Hope it helps.

£2.49 a month for 50meg and line rental! Wow... Never have I seen anything as cheap, don't even undertand why they'd offer that surely they make nothing lol

thanks. done that and this process is easier than i thought!
The version thats out in Canada is a Beta version, i downloaded it on tuesday when it came out, it will be out everywhere, when its officially released, its free because you will end up buying in game credit :) no more all in every hand as people will have to use their own money to buy credits
Isn't it just a beta though!?

The WSOP: Full House Pro beta is off to a great start and we’ve reached a stage where we will slowly add some non-Canadian users;

[edit]

Yeah it's just a beta!

Users should be able to download the WSOP: Full House Pro beta from the Canadian Xbox Dashboard

Is that the game that's to be released free everywhere? I know a poker game was announced a while back being free on release...

It's got an ESRB rating with no word of it being released in the UK, it's been out for a while in the US/Canada I think so I'm not sure if we'll get it in the UK.

At least this way, you WILL be able to get it and it'll be free. :)

Yeah, just looked it up. Can't find any word of a release over here. Cheers. I'll get on to this right now.

Just tried Xbox.com with my UK account and it's free. No need to set up a new canadian account at all! Heat
Oh excellent! To be honest I didn't actually try it with my UK account, I'll edit that in the top and give you credit for finding that. :)EDIT - I've just tried it myself and I'm getting "Sorry This offer is not valid in your region" I'm not sure if anyone else has had that.

Hmm. that's wierd. I'll have to check the 360 when I get home. But it seemed fine on the website.

Just tried it here. Log into xbox.com GB, search for WSOP in games and it shows up there just like in the canadian marketplace. However, click on the actual game and all it shows is the trailer that is available to download.

Either way, it's downloading right now from CA account. Cheers OP
