God Eater 2: Rage Burst (PS Vita) + God Eater: Resurrection + T-shirt + DLC - £24.99 @ Grainger Games

Think of God Eater as an anime Monster Hunter. £25 is a decent price for a new Vita game, and this a code for the HD remaster of the original game, a God Eater 2 T-shirt and costume DLC all included.

Sell the t-shirt? Have you lost your mind?! ;)

What's it like? Is it subtle enough to wear while maintaining a modicum of "cool"?

Had one and returned it, for me it was trying to solve a problem that did not exist, was not as good as a controller and not as good as Kb/m
Works great in some games. Grim Dawn is a bit pernickety in inventory management, but otherwise wonderful and looks great on a 90" screen. Other games, like Divinity 2 and Starpoint Gemini 2, are borderline-unplayable with a 360 pad but work wonderfully with a Steam controller, which really has surprised me. Older titles, like Baldur's Gate, Anachronox and the Civ games, can finally be enjoyed from the sofa. And the dual-stage triggers are very useful in Dolphin emulation.

If you've already got a great keyboard and mouse setup with your sofa, then the Steam controller is trying to solve a problem that does not exist. Otherwise, perhaps you've just not tried the right games?

Oddly, I gave up on XCOM 2 using the Steam controller - it just felt like a chore. I went to keyboard & mouse instead. So don't take "official support" as meaning it works well, IMO. And the 360 pad is still my controller of choice for "pad" games (no offence to my DS4 - it's just not quite as comfortable). I'd certainly agree that the Steam controller is relatively niche, and if you can't afford two pads I'd recommend a 360/Xbone pad/DS4 instead of this, but for those games where it works great, it works great. :{
£7.40 delivery is hilarious.

If you wait until Tuesday 6pm you can purchase the lowest tier of the new Humble Bundle (priced at $1) which will include a 10% off voucher for the Humble Monthly deal.
So you can get the Humble Monthly and 3 extra games for $11.80 instead of paying $12 for just the Monthly deal.

It's worth mentioning those vouchers are only applicable for first time subscribers, everyone else will still get the same price.

Been playing Poi today. Its a fairly fun little game but I get the impression is can be completed fairly quickly in its current form, I hope they add a bunch more levels and objectives. So much of the game feel too easy with little challenge and it does have some bugs, in the first moments of the game I was able to actually jump outside of the game environment and spawn at the end of the first level.

I did this since that game is designed in such as a way that you can jump to a wall/slope, slide down, jump again (gaining a little more height each time) until you reach the top. Another bug I've encountered (and a bug which is not fixed yet) is with the boss on the 2nd level, simply put it cannot be defeated, I spent ages try to beat the thing but nothing worked, I then found out it was bugged which sucks.

I plan on finishing the other two levels tomorrow. It is a fun little game and definitely worth a quick play if you purchased the Humble Bundle but its not worth picking up right now for £10.99.
Just to let anyone know, if your'e contemplating buying this game, do it. I loved it and really trying to find anything similar to play. I wish it was longer though. I got it recently when it was on a deal for the PS4 so can't speak for the PC version but the story will be the same and that's worth playing on any platform in my opinion.

Last one of these I got was June and my god am I glad it was. July and August were trash. Not too sure about this either. Heat for those it does interest!
June was brilliant! Rocket League, The Forest, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. All those games individually worth more than the price of the whole bundle

Yes, this is the only monthly I've purchased and was very happy with it. Unfortunate that nothing since has tempted me to try again.

Curious as to why people would prefer this over real money sites like Pokerstars?
ask the same question to the people that play shooters and racing games ???
I'm just curious.
I play real money on my PC but would never consider playing poker on a console. Consoles are great for shooters as you say but board games and card games they just don't work.
Playing against an AI would also put me off as I know I'd crush it.
Would anyone play real money on a console?
Just thinking out loud btw.

Uno is coming out again as so many wanted it.

Maybe people just like playing poker/card games without the risk of losing money.
It could make for a good degree subject for someone.

I've mates that play Zynga poker on Facebook but would never play freeroll poker on a real money site. I've one mate who spent £50 on Zynga chips but would never play on the sites I play. Bit of a dilemma as you can win real withdrawable money on the real money sites for zero risk.

This free to play model must actually work. I'm curious as to why it works.

Anyone got this? Remember seeing ages ago and thinking it looked good.
I've played through it, and it's a perfectly adequate large-scale sci-fi RTS. But it's not as good as either of the Supreme Commanders, so if you're interested in this, I'd recommend SupCom 1 or 2 first if you haven't already played through those.

Supreme Commander 2 is also nice and cheap at GMG at the moment, and they claim that their source is Square Enix, so it should be an official, legitimate key! :)

supreme commander has outdated graphics.
good if you like multiplayer focused rts games. i prefer story driven games but this is a good price. aweet.
pimpchez
Is this turned based like civ 5 ?

No rts means real time strategy
Supcom 1 clunky? Wtf? Supcom one is still the best grandscale rts to date. Supcom 2 units dont even leave tracks.... its a console port! Nothing on 1.

1 was way ahead of its time and was massive on release when on gas servers. Now its pretty dead but worth it for the story mode imo.

2 is not supcom its tiny maps and boring. Great ideas but they should of ran it off supcom 1 engine.

Ive read ashes is about super units and thats it so will wait for a mega sale on steam

Officially licensed by Sega. So don't worry about it :|

Read about this unit, not made by Sega, just some junk 3rd party licenced box and it has no HDMI, just Yellow/Red/White AV plugs which is absolutely not acceptable in this day and age plus will look junk on any modern TV. The fact it has a cart slot does not make up for the rest. I wish it was more like the SNES offering.
If it's quality built like SNES then composite will still look great.

This game is TERRIBLE on the PC. Do Not Buy it.

Only Origins (the first game) is really any good. It went WAY downhill after that - so sad.

http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/dragon-age-inquisition

Critics love it rating it 85/100 but the majority of actual players who bought the game hated it - somehow it scraped a 5.8 out of 10, as a few people actually really liked it.

But it's clunky and difficult to play on PC. They started out with something that worked on PC, and made it more and more console centric and it's just awful.

If you want a decent RPG - get Pillars of Eternity instead.

I had never played a previous Dragon Age and thoroughly enjoyed this game.

Excellent price for the base game. However, is it a bad idea missing out on the DLC? The DLC are £11.99 each. What's the lowest GOTY has been?

From my memory "Trespasser" is the only dlc that continues the main story. The others are just extra mounts, weapons and armour.

Do people still play the online co op campaign? Easy to find a game etc
To answer your question directly - I'm not sure, but that is because it wasn't very good and I have no inclination to go back and try it again. Dragon Age is a really good SP game - but really not worth getting if you are more focused on the MP.
To sum it up in 6 words ... It is a poor mans Warframe ...
Isn't warframe a free game?

Yes, that is kind of the point ... a free game is much more fun if you are looking for MP

If only I could find a PS3 console cheap enough :( heat for the games here
The PS3 is basically EOL, only way you're going to get a reasonable price now is to look around on Gumtree or whatever. I paid £65 for a ~160GB Slim with 2 controllers, The Last of Us, and some other games that I traded in for £10.
I found the ps3 controllers were almost bullet proof. The consoles however not so. I had a first generation version that had the yellow light of death was repaired under warranty and died again. At the time the insurance company said their repairer could not keep up, and even the courier guessed what it was when he saw the box size. Then got a slim which seemed to be very flimsy, and the dvd mechanism failed after a year.
I'd like to play the old games :( Shame I can't download them!

I've got a big fat 80gig one and a slim, not a super slim, just a slim I remember it came bundled with fallout3 not sure how many gigs it is, both seem fine (touch wood) my ps2 still works and all, scph 39003 bought in virgin megastore in a bundle with gta3
Before my ps3 died I did play cod modern warfare 2 online. I kept being shot through walls, and in the replays you could see they had some kind of aimbot. Is this cheating online common in the older games?

How is he trolling, by stating its missing bitstream audio?
What? You do know the console will only require an update to allow bitstream audio. That's how.

Not necessarily, it completely depends on the hardware. Of course, IF the hardware supports it, then a software update will enable it.

The fact it doesn't support it now is a bit odd and could mean they cheaped out on the HDMI hardware (they have to cut costs somewhere)

This is a reason i purchased the nVidia shield 6 months ago, as it was the only android box at the time which allowed bitstreaming of HD audio formats, which includes Dolby Atmos and DTS-X

You get what you pay for

Chasloyal

Did you not jump on the 3DO train then?

I did 8) of course I got the Panasonic effort though because LG or Gold Star as they were called in those days was just as two bob then as they are now.

Why would I sue you, do I sound like some legal eagle? You're the one who yesterday announced to the world you've bought every console that ever existed but are showing signs of back tracking on that boast now.

Oooer loose lips sink ships n all that

Yeah, i had a 3DO, and a jaguar.... still have it actually :D

Yeah, i said every console, i never classed the Neo Geo as a home console for some reason, maybe as it was never released in the UK

I assume you mean Anno 2205. If your concern is about Uplay multiplayer, this game was actually engineered ignoring multiplayer, as stats showed that the vast majority of Anno players play it in single player mode. If you are concerned about Uplay as a purchasing/managing game portal, you can use steam instead, as this post would imply.
Having double-checked, it was actually 2070 I was on about.:D

For Uplay, I don't think there's a way round it, as even if you load it through Steam, it still loads into Uplay first, much like Far Cry and other games of theirs do. I've used Uplay fine for Far Cry, and I'm just iffy because the reviews for this game's use of Uplay seem particularly terrible.
Quietus
I keep on looking at 2050, but the reviews all hint at the fact that Uplay is not only bad (which is usual), but crippling.:(

On another note, Anno games are very enjoyable and provide challenges and entertainment for hours and hours. I have played them since Anno 1503 without ever being disappointed and this latest installment seems pretty good!
As suggested above, you might want to try Anno 1404 first.

Agreed: Anno 1404 is the best to ease into the franchise's gameplay without compromising on quality.
Anno 1404 seconded. It's a great game to waste many hours on, and shouldn't be infested with the Uplay menace.

I considered getting a retro console like this to relive my childhood and play some old master system games, however I was concerned about the build quality on these items.
In the end I opted for a PSP for £20 which I managed to get a custom firmware and download master system, snes, megadrive immulators and get unlimited games.
I am not a tech genius but managed to follow instructions online and taken whole of 10mins to do.
Agreed. It's much better just to buy a PSP instead.

Nice post + Heat for a viable alternative to the Mini NES
Not only wasn't this made by Sega but it's also low quality built so you'd be better off just buying a PSP and downloading roms to it. Yeah, roms are a grey area and all but considering PSPs are very cheap nowadays it's a no brainer to go with that instead.
As for the Mini NES, that's actually produced by Nintendo than outsourced to AtGames or some other crappy company.
While a PSP is a good option lets be fair and accurate on using roms. Is a bit like streaming new movies. Sometimes it is just like watching a DVD, and sometimes its like watching it through the view of someone with a little Fuji camera, with heads in the cinema, and poor sound. Roms are much the same, sure there are some perfect roms, but there are also plenty that crash and are plagued with bugs, missing sprites, glitches and so on.
If you know where to get the games with their proper non-broken versions then that won't happen. I've never had any issues with roms or films from the web. Obviously don't visit websites like "Download Free Movies" because that's without a doubt viruses. X)

I can't seem to order. Amazon.es keeps cancelling my order. Is this one of them there brexit things then? ;P
Why would anyone order a game almost 18 months before its release?

Its not like it will be in short supply on release. (Or even hold its value after release).

Why do Nintendo games hold their price so well? Is it because they don't produce enough copies or is it they're just so rigid on their prices that people just cave in and buy them regardless knowing they won't drop in price?
It's an old habit of Nintendo to make like a limited quantity for their own games and then the prices never drop. On one hand, that's a good thing because you can get your money back by reselling but on the other, you have to always pay £30+ for a game you may want.

Don't look up the prices that Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance are going or you might get a heart attack. I predict Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water will cost even more than their RRP prices too. There's also the third party Wii U games and stuff but hardly anyone cares about those to give two thoughts.

Fairly sure this was in a $1 tier a few humble bundles ago. I wouldn't say it's worth the 3.74, it's a bit too simplistic.

Definitely worth the price! Simple mechanics (but fun) yes but good level design and art direction plus lots of levels (7+ hours average play time on Steam). Not every game has to be a dollar to be worth it. Plus 10% of the price goes to a charity of your choice.
