eGlobalCentral, oh boy. You're going to really want to stay away from these crooks.

Check their trust pilot. You'll most likely get your product, that's cool. The drama post-sales is shocking. Do not send your phone in for repair.

They kept my phone for 6 weeks, said it wasn't faulty despite some serious screen burn on my screen they then held it hostage. They have no number you can speak to them. They respond to RMA messages once between 24-120 hours (I kid you not).

I had just exceeding my 180 days Paypal cover. This has to be my worst-experience in 14 years of e-shopping.
praevalens
ive always been a big supporter of eglobalcentral as i've bought a few lenses and now a phone from them, unfortunately my mate 8 decided it no longer charges, their RMA process is slow and i haven't heard anything from them in days, have had to raise a paypal dispute and still heard nothing

Well yeah, that's the difficulty. If you have no issues, it's a good place to get a cheap deal, but if anything at all goes wrong, you're in trouble.
great phone, had it since release, no issues at all. super fast and looks good too.
escamcentral. Cold.

I think this is the problem. They are cheap as they basically send it from abroad. But it takes longer to get here and it's way harder to offer good customer service if you are half way across the world. I was going to buy my S7 edge from them but I'll give it a miss and order from the uk now for peace of mind.

Is it possible to put kodi on one of these without using a PC using es file explorer like with the Fire TV?
Have tried googling it but always comes up with using a PC to sideload etc but i don't own a PC so can't do it that way.

I used an adaptor, like the one shown below, to download the apk to a usb drive, via my phone, and then plug it into the nexus player and used es file explorer to sideload mobdro

spend a bit more on the nvidia android tv
my nexus player is being delivered today, will see how it performs, if it's crap I may have to return it.
however, as i'm thinking about the shield - I may as well sell my old tele n buy a sony android tv

I've got the Nexus player, it has been great but there are things I wish it had, primarily the Ethernet port and additional USB ports. the shield can also be used as a Plex server.

I just got one of these from Argos and it has a problem with the digitizer, it's randomly picking up pressed all over the place. As brilly said above I checked online and it seems to be a common problem, I'm sending mine back for a refund.

Ah the famous 'digitizer' doobrie whatchamacallit. Quite surprising that it's 'randomly picking up pressed all over the place'. If you mean the touchscreen is having problems then take it back and swap for another one.

I find it odd that lots of things on ebay you can order delivered to your local Argos but this item you cannot and yet its Argos selling it!
Mine lasted for 2 and half years before it had some eMMC errors, apparently also quite a common problem.
had one, was good until it started having touchscreen issues which is apparently fairly common
iirc something to do with a weak connection inside

Not a bad price but buyers beware the last update for this tablet was lollipop and it made 2 of these I owned unusable as they virtually ground to a halt!

Yeah lollipop ruined my nexus 7, then my son dropped it and smashed it to pieces which didn't help
Just installed Cyanogenmod on my old N7. So much better than marshmallow. This thread reminded me about this so thanks all!!

5x is working well. good service from eglobal :)
My Nexus5x arrived in 5 days and I love it. Good service so far from eglobal. Good buy thanks for tip.
NEVER buy from eGlobal. My phone developed a fault and they asked for it to be returned. It did. Confirmed no fault of my own and within 12 month warranty. And they're now holding it hostage and only offering half the phone's worth as store credit to be spent. RUBBISH COMPANY.

No, 16gb isn't enough now. By the time I have all my Nokia Here maps loaded, music, videos, apps games...... No 16gb should be a thing of the past. Different story if their is a SD card slot. As 6.0 can now use SD cards as integrated storage
When I see a comment from somewhere who doesn't understand the difference between 'their' and 'there', I immediately dismiss their comments as nonsense. 16gb is plenty, people are just wasteful.

I do the same when I see a comment from someone who doesn't understand the difference between "someone" and "somewhere" :p
phone ordered last Sunday and arrived today Monday (8days) , comes with uk adapter plug to euro socket (shaver type plug) then eu plug for type c USB socket, then "type c" 2 "type c" usb cable, a little cumbersome and have ordered proper uk plug from amazon for £12,
Saving £42 from today's deal direct from google add cot of £12 socket and u still save £30
win win, you could buy the £20 socket direct from google and save £22 instead.

Don't use eGlobalCentral - I ordered my 5X from them last month.. nearly 4 weeks later they just cancelled my order!! I am wondering if I should try and get compensation from them for wasting my time (was waiting eagerly for the new phone)
In case anyone is wondering why they haven't yet received their phones they are probably out of stock.
When I queried the delay I was told 'out of stock' but still shows as 'in stock' on their website.
This is their response to the obvious question - "Thank you for your email. Our system has a slight delay as we sync as often as our server can handle. We run multiple websites so the stock is shared, that's why sometimes there is a sudden influx in orders from other sites our site does not update in time. I apologies for any inconvenience caused. If you have any further question, please contact us.
Best Regards,
eGlobal Central - Adam"

So there you have it - a fine excuse.
Ordered from this company and they cancelled my order without any notice. I'm sure you won't get ripped off, but lucky if you get it, just flashy prices.
Thanks for the heads-up danbully.
I ordered on 08/05 and wondered why still 'processing'. Obviously the phone was out of stock at least 2 days before and yet still shown as 'in stock' when I ordered.
Have had no contact from eglobal to advise this - surely keeping customers informed is a basic for any firm hoping for repeat business. They offer a great price but customer service is lacking. Presumably why they get so many poor reviews.
Hope your phone (and mine) turns up safely after the 23rd.

There is 5% discount this weekend plus there are pop ups offering up to £6.50 off codes. So makes the phone under £200. Looks like a good price to me!

This won't be a deal for everyone..... But personally I'd get the Xiaomi Mi4c 16gb model off Aliexpress for £104. Same chipset, same storage, same memory, 5" FHD, but lacking fingerprint scanner and stock android. And of course buying from China so possibly customs and limited after sales support. But £100 cheaper. http://m.aliexpress.com/item/32476798619.html?aff_click_id=c662cff099234cf889ddfb9095fb8fe0-1460820732998-06117-rmMnUVN&aff_platform=y
I was really drawn to the Mi4C as it was the same size as the Nexus 5 which was great. However, I was put off by the fact that it seems like Xiaomi aren't really that great at software updates. It still hasn't received Marshmallow and may never do. Once you get spoilt by the super quick updates from Nexus, it's hard to go back.

This is true, although there is an unofficial CM13 mod that is updated regularly, so if I were to go for a Mi4c I'd be flashing that rather than sticking with the miui.

can't see why.
your original contract is with O2 and if they give you the means to unlock it you haven't tampered with the phone so there shouldn't be a problem.

I've got one and I'm used to having big phones, whilst it is fast, lean etc. I think other phones are better at being a bigger phone if that make senses.. Would of been nice to have split screen or one hand use on the box instead if having to load custom roms to add features.
Split screen is due with next release of Android .... due very soon.

It has been this price at CPW for a very long time.

FYI the 32GB is 439.99 at CPW, and also available in Black.
(Bought one last week, as it was the same price as a used, O2-locked one at the local branch of CEX).
The downside is that CPW do NOT sell any cases for the 6P! :|

To make up the difference in storage, I got a Kingston 64GB USB-A/USB-C flash drive from Amazon for £17-ish.

Is it really worth saving £37 over the carphonewarehouse (SIM free, UK model) on something this price? If anything goes wrong, the chances of you being screwed is high.
Hopefully you get the international model too, as many HK sellers supply the NA one.
edit - I can't even link that retailer as they're so bad, they're banned from HUKD lol.The URL has auto-stared out, but it's easy enough to find on Google.

Ahh, apologies. I didn't notice it was the 64GB version!

You still have to consider warranty issues and the chance of getting the NA model, but you need to decide if the saving is worth it given it's a bit more.

the lack of 64gb option on the 5X is likely to be the deciding factor. with the HD camera the 32gb will soon fill up and I also have a lot of music on phone.

I don't actually understand this, yes 32GB will fill up if you don't copy stuff from phone to a PC periodically. So this would only be an issue if you never move stuff off your phone (which is a huge risk if your phone dies, gets lost or stolen). Personally, I have dropbox that will auto upload stuff as soon as I'm on wifi so I will often just clear old stuff knowing it is all sync'd. Each to their own I guess.
269.95£ dispatched and sold by Amazon so comes with Amazon service guarantee.

Ordered the 32GB one on 14th March for £205 after £5 voucher. Little communication and was concerned with reviews but finally got email on 1st to say shipped and it arrived on 5th April. Has UK plug and says O2UK on the side of box although scored out. Great phone.

The company has quite a few reviews saying it's a scam: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/eglobalcentral.co.uk

It's not a scam just a really **** company to deal with, they take your money immediately and then leave you dangling for weeks whilst they source the item they claim they already have in stock. I've heard the items turn up eventually but don't expect them to keep you in the loop.

Update on my order - a few hours after placing the order I thought better of it and e-mailed them through their e-ticket system to cancel.
Two days later I got a dispatch notification, followed closely by an e-mail saying they would cancel the order and ask the courier to return the item to them. They also advised that it would take "2 to 3 weeks" to refund my money once they receive it back.
Well low and behold today the phone was delivered!!! :( Thats bloody annoying.
Will be interesting to see what happens from here on. I'm not going to be happy incurring cost to return the item, or their "£15 restocking fee" on all "non-faulty returns"
For info, the phone arrived with a plug adapter and has a non-UK plug on the charger for the phone.
Did anyone else order and/or receive the phone yet?
Anyone link me to the warranty info on these through Google with it being a non-EU variant?
Oh and FYI, no mention of VAT / customs when it arrived! The item was sent next day delivery from an address in Lancashire.

Hey there , does it work with all uk signals or is the stock from some other place outside the EU ?

have gone for it anyway. paid on PayPal to cover me

edit: thought better of it after realising its a Chinese company (despite saying "(UK)" in the title) and they only offer their own 1 year warranty on mobiles, not the two year Google warranty. I suspect this is not European stock!

So want to pull the trigger on this one but don't like the reviews, anyone know the next best price from a decent retailer?
Wise move, I've opened a dispute with PayPal as they clearly don't give a **** about customer service. I ordered 16 days ago and they have failed to reply to the 3 tickets I logged asking when it would be sent. Whats more annoying is they are selling the same phone on eBay stating they have UK stock.

I also have a claim in against them with Paypal for my purchase of a Nexus 6P..... nto hopeful though, Paypal are bound to side with the rip-off merchants!

I sent them the following complaint:

Dear Currys/PC World

I would to make a complaint about the above item sold on your eBay website. It would appear ONE person purchased 36 of HTC Nexus tablets. This I understand would be against your interest if not your policy, not to mention other frustrated customers. Indeed many on some public forums e.g., hotukdeals.com are very angry.

Surely it is your business practice to want to have a more broader base customers. How this could then be achieved if so many such items are sold to just one customer! For this reason, several potential customers suspect some kind of insider dealing.

Your explanation would be kindly appreciated

Many thanks for your attention.

Regards

There's no point at complaining in store, they have nothing to do with Curry's policies regarding the Ebay store --
email the executive team.

And previous assumptions are right, could have been a job with inside knowledge.

Kudo to your wife!! It would be more productive if people posting their frustration on here to actually all go to currys eBay website/ head office and make their complaint so the sale is not honoured or at least stop such practice in the future. Is the reason why we are all on hukd, so everyone has a chance of a good deal?

"We source internationally; a UK adapter may be included in the packaging."
But it's sent from the UK so it's not like you'll be hit with customs. Surely at worst you get a non-UK plug on the charger, but that's a standard USB thing anyway.

It is not a standard USB on the Nexus 5x! One of the new 'anyway' ones.

Looked at the negs for that seller, sure lots of positives but people are sending huge amounts of money, sometimes nearly 1000 euros, and their credit card protection is void if using a third party, like paypal. Very risky business. £9 at Tesco's for a Vodaphone Smart First suits me down to the ground.

Think you're getting mixed up here, yes you can get it for that price but you still have to pay £480 up front for the phone.

It is on the O2 website. Just look under Pay monthly sims.
scogginst
You can get the same texts and minutes with 4gb of data from O2 for £18/month on a 12-month. contract plus Topcashback give you £40.40.
So it's £11.20/month less after cashback.
Is the phone worth £270? (Having had a look around it seems to cost around £400... the world's gone mad, it's a phone.)

Where from? It's not on the O2 website? do you have a link?

No it's not. I actually rang up the central support line, 4 days after this deal was posted, to find any shops stocking it. They told me it's not available anywhere. So I called a few local London ones to make sure they just weren't showing up on the system, none there either.

Good price but definitely go for 32gb if you can get/afford one. 16gb would be fine if you just want it for email and general browsing.
Nb Google have brought out the pixel C as the premium tablet offering, but the nexus 9 hasn't been discontinued or 'phased' out, not yet anyways...
Don't talk rubbish. 16GB is plenty of space.
Agreed. Has nobody heard of the cloud these days? I really don't get it... All of my photos and music are on the cloud. The only things I might store on it are a movie or 2 for long flights (4gb tops?) And apps. If you end up installing 16gb of apps you probably need to considering organising your apps a bit better.

Are 02 any good for high data usage? Looking at the spectrum they own as more data usage is the norm they trail the other providers in cell to phone capacity by a wide margin.
the 64gb phone is selling for £499 generally and you can't get it from most networks, only the 32gb version.

10gb data deals are hard to find at a reasonable price. I was paying £23 for 8gb on EE. O2 sim only is also £23/month so it is £17*24 for the phone which is £408

the 5gb deal is only £34.99 and 3gb is £31.

I have spent 3 months looking for a good 6p deal and this is the best i have found by quite a way.
£40 a month for an android phablet, Jesus Christ this is like an anti-deal, surely the standalone cost of a 6inch tablet phone is not £650+
Sorry but seems a bit much to me (I'd be expecting it under £35/month for that priced phone.

Avoid Expansys at all cost, even if it costs you a few quids more somewhere else. post-sales they do not want to know you. Even the manufacturers customer support staff tell me they are awful !!
Testing please ignore...
I ordered the Nexus 6 Midnight Blue 64GB model early yesterday and, after buying it on the Motorola UK website, I got confirmation and info on the delivery via DHL from China. Right now it's probably in the air winging it's way to the UK. Hopefully it will come with a UK plug and UK firmware/software. If it's not I will cancel and return it pronto as, buying from the UK Morotola site, it ought to be for the UK market! #CrossingFingers

Looks like it's currently out of stock again.

Just to confirm having now received mine and tried it out with my Moto x Play - yes, the message 'TurboPower connected' displayed as soon as I'd pugged in and turned on the charger. When you disconnect the charger a message appears also, along the lines of 'TurboCharged to XX%'.
In a very unscientific test I just charged my Moto X Play for 15 minutes using the charger. It went from 65% to 78%. So call it 0.86% per minute. I'll compare to a normal charge later.
Remember that it's intended to fast charge up to about 80% quickly then after 80% it resumes charging at a slower rate.
So you may only really see a benefit when charging from much lower amounts of battery reserve.
Thanks for that. OK, non-scientific test number two, still using this fast charger, but starting at a lower battery percentage and not going over 80% again. 15 mins charging again, started at 57%, took it to 72%, so that's 1% per minute (improvement on previous rate of 0.86% per minute. Perhaps the limit at which it switches to a slower charge rate is below 80%?
I'll run it down to a similar level again and see how the standard charger compares.
Hmm, thinking of getting a spare for my S6 and yesterday I did a quick test and got 30% in 15 mins with the one I got with it...
Yup, will vary on battery size I imagine. S6 has a 2550 mAh battery where as the Moto X has a larger 3630 mAh, so would make sense the Samsung percent per minute charge on a quick charger is higher. Hopefully if you order one of these chargers the performance matches the one you have (if you mean it's already a 2.0 Quick Charger?).

That would make sense...

Ordered and will report back if there is an issue

The days of 250-500 pound smartphones are over. There is no way I can justify paying these amounts when I can get a Honor or other less well known names with the same spec and reliabilty
No no no
You can't compare nexus to anything else even the same price range.
Nexus means 2-3 years of upgrades to newest android.
Even after that Nexus will get security updates - as my nexus 4 (yes, N four, 3 years old) is still getting.
Is there any other manufacturer who will give you that ?
Probably apple but the price is well above the nexus.
What about the root, custom rom, kernel, etc ?
My mate just get rid of galaxy S6 to buy Nexus 6 - This two devices can't be compared.
Nexus beats S6 badly. Only looses on lack of fingerprint scanner.
Don't get me wrong. I'll personally buy Honor 7 if I would never had Nexus in my hand..
It's not just all about hardware. It's more about software and stability and real life speed off it.
Still remember steps up from 4.2.2 - 4.4.4 - 5.0 - 5.1.1. This is where google stopped upgrading to newer android but CM and the rest will keep doing it for a long while.
You are buying a phone for a large sum of money and the advancements are simply not that advanced. I have a Samsung note 2. I have the latest android- even if I did not, it would not bother me. My phone is fast with little lag. As for "root, custom rom, kernel,"...Huh??? I use my phone for texting, calls, internet and whatsapp....Do people still use a phone for these things??? And my Note 2 is from 2011. Average phones from Honor and the like would murder my phone specs wise. Furthermore. I have no intention of buying a new phone.
How did you get the latest version of android installed on your old phone if not a custom ROM? Sounds like your phone needs are very basic if you're just chatting and browsing. You don't need a Phablet for that.
BTW, I still rock a Note 2 and love it with my Custom ROM installed on it. Android v4.4.2. Rock solid for over 2 years now on the same ROM, and it's still fast enough for me (a power user). But I would like a newer phone simply because I want one.
Yes, I am using 4.4.2- is that not the latest one? Maybe I am mistaken. I use the phablet for a few games and most importantly reading. I have re-discovered books since owning a Note 2. You can read your current book anywhere.
It is the latest stock ROM for the note 2, the Nexus is on v6. I have just bought an Nexus 6 to replace my ageing Note 2. Hadn't noticed the note was particularly slow although it was lagging a bit at times. This Nexus is much faster though and the screen much nicer. It also has lots of nice touches such as smart lock that I like. I bought a 64Gb so hopefully won't miss the SD card - do miss the notification light though but not enough to root the N6 to get one again. Don't think the note 2 was around in 2011 BTW.
Sorry, it may have been 2012. I got my note 2 for £20 on someone's upgrade that they did not want. Then I simply unlocked for £8.99 and there it was: An unlocked Note 2 for £28.99. Now that is what I call a bargain. I think you are operating on a different level to me. I do not really need a smartphone to be faster than the Note 2 and
smart lock is just not work £250 plus. We were just different smartphone users with the same phone.

The days of 250-500 pound smartphones are over. There is no way I can justify paying these amounts when I can get a Honor or other less well known names with the same spec and reliabilty
No no no
You can't compare nexus to anything else even the same price range.

They only have the 32gb ice ones left in curry's store at Gateshead team valley. Cheaper than from Google, and no waiting for delivery!!

Had mine since release date. Still say its better than the latest Samsung's and lg's. Regardless of it specifications :3
Bought mine from Carphone wharehouse on sat, first impressions decent camera, seems quick. Best bit £40 cheaper then google store.
lg g4 better screen camera more ram bigger battery cheaper. i would go hands down to an lg g4 i have one upgraded from an lg g3 and it was a big jump. but if you guys still think this is a better deal go for it :)

LG G4 has better specs and is only about £25 more on amazon. I was going to get the new Nexus 5 but its somewhat cut back...
What a load of uninformed rubbish.
Cheers.

harsh...but fair
i think lg g4 is better option too, how can people buy phones in 2015 with no removable battery and sd slot? lg g4 have 32gb space plus i have a 64gb card, how much free the nexus get for apps? 20gb? rubbish.
How can people in 2015 still go on about removable batteries and SD cards?
When would you need to remove the battery, and have you not heard of unlimited cloud storage?
so you wouldn't buy the nexus 5 if it had a removable battery and sd card slot then?
Ffs, where did I say that??
I'm saying these things aren't a reason to say the g4 is better
Like I asked before, when would you need to remove the battery etc?
Expandable memory and removable batteries are very much reasons why a phone could be considered "better".
Cloud storage is only good in strong reception areas and costs money if you have a lot to store.
Having a spare, fully charged battery ready to swap out is very much a thing.
Just because these things have no value to you does not mean that they are not important to others.
Haha, and when did you last need to swap your battery?
And when did you last need to store anything over 2gb " offline" let alone 20gb.
What are you talking about? What I do is irrelevant. What you do is irrelevant. What other people, in different situations do is all that matters. These things are important to other people. I'm not sure why you're finding it so difficult to understand.
And I'm not going to spell out the pros and cons of cloud storage. Google it.

Well obviously it is relevant to you or why else mention it?

Or are you arguing the point on behalf of some other random, mythical anonymous person, who needs a removable battery, and SD card slot?

Strange!!

As for the G4 - it is great spec for the money and has a phenomenal camera but it also feels really cheap and nasty in my opinion. I've been tempted to get one just for the camera but I haven't taken the plunge yet. If Lg start making more premium-feeling handsets and tone down their customisations then I might buy another Lg; though the rapid sink in price they seem to experience is slightly off-putting I have to say.
The Nexus 5X should in theory have a better camera than the LG G4. Nexus 5X has the same camera as Nexus 6P which is rated slightly higher than the G4 on DxOMark. I would also trust Google being able to get the best out of the hardware compared with LG.
I find replaceable batteries fairly pointless, if I have space to carry a spare battery i would have space to carry a portable charger. Why carry a 3000mHa battery when a 10000mHa portable charger is a similar size and won't end up damaging the battery case by constantly swapping batteries.

Never EVER trust DXOMArk. They talk absolute rubbish. I bought a Sony Z2 on their recommendation and the camera was tripe. They constantly rate Sony phones as the best in the world and they always turn out to have misled people when the actual reviews come out. Trust me on this, the G4 is one of the best cameras on any smartphone and, having owned a 6S Plus, Samsung S6 and even things like the Lumia 1020, the phone I've been most impressed with is the G4. I'm not a fan of the LG's cheapo plastic build, but one thing I can do is say that there is absolutely zero chance of the 5X having as good a camera. For one, Nexus cameras have a poor reputation - so there is no form to make assumptions on, the sensor has no OIS so not be able to handle low light, and there are no manual shutter speed controls for granular adjustments. The LG G4 is very flawed and - in my opinion - a bit too big next to last year's G3; but I can basically guarantee it will outperform the 5X camera. If I turn out to be wrong then I will bow to your assumptions but I don't see this happening.

Hence why i wouldnt gamble £100s buying something on these sites.
re-sealed, not all brand new I afraid.
All the products buying through Rakuten are they brand new? until they specify Refurb? Because I received some of the products unboxed (I mean factory unseal)
You can ask Expansys to change the mobile from electronics to home and garden category temporarily.
Then the code must work and the mobile will be sold out quickly.
i just tried the code for the xbox offer further below; the code apparantly doesn't work on electronics, its for home and garden only

Can anyone advise when their points show up. Thanks
7 days after purchase
Anyone received device with poor battery life... like about 10%+ drain per hour with screen off and 6-8 email accounts + facebook? What the general battery life for you guys?

After two resets, and head scratching over a week... applying all the OS updates (upto Android 5.1.1), including all app updates, nothing helped.

Finally, following a forum, I have disabled the Google Fit app. Post that in the past two hours, the battery drain has been 1% (with no use but Wifi and all services on). Will keep updated based on responses from others.
Can anyone advise when their points show up. Thanks

New nexus announced tomorrow anyway even if it were a deal!
what time tomorrow
24h from now on

Based on leaks from AndroidPolice.com (and there have been a lot), Google really dropped the f****ng ball. Nexus 5x will only have 2GB ram (same as 2013 Nexus 5), no optical image stabilization (which the '13 Nexus 5 had), no QI wireless charging (which the '13 Nexus 5 had), and the joke sized 16gb will begin at around £329. The Nexus 6x is a slight improvement, but the huge form factor does not appeal to me.

Tbh if the new one uses the Snapdragon 808 like rumored, this one would be more powerful lol, the 805 is the better chip.
The S808 is faster in every way apart from GPU. As a non gamer, probably go for the Moto X, as the UI smoothness means more, plus the extra power in the DSP.
The 805 has more horsepower because it's not throttled nearly as much.
I'm not 100% sure this is true (http://www.androidauthority.com/snapdragon-808-vs-810-overheating-test-605273/)), but even if it is. Again this is only a gaming problem.
For bursty workloads (texting, browsing and general use), then the SoC is more likely to remain at the top specifiec clocks. It's only going to start noticeably throttling under prolonged load, i.e. gaming. Where the adreno 430 smokes it anyway.
For anything but gaming and probably benchmarking this chipset smokes the S805 by a fair amount. (see image below)http://images.anandtech.com/graphs/graph8718/70028.png
That image shows a CPU workload of Krait 450 @ 2.7GHz vs Arm Cortex A57s @ 1.9GHz. Much faster with lower power consumption.
EDIT: Even still, if you're not too bothered about gaming (this Adreno 418 is more than sufficient still). Then anything above a Snapdragon 400 will give decent enough performance for general useage.
It's true, John Carmack said so, benchmarks are different from real world use.

Maybe so, but it's alot more evidence than your word.

Too big to be useful as a phone.
Genuinely looking forward to Nexus bringing out something decent. Will hang on to my "4" till then.
You a mad man! A mad man!
But in all seriousness how's the 4 holding up now? Loved it - loathed the battery life.
Looking forward a new Nexus though big time.

It lasts a day unless I'm seriously hammering it.

Can't complain!

Yep, code is not working anymore.
Doesn't work for me either, logged into the site, put the nexus 6 into my basket and tried AUG10 at the checkout but it came back in red to say that it was an invalid code. Thought it would be OK as AUG10 suggests 10% for August but maybe they think August is over.
Doesn't work for me. Says code is invalid

Cheers, just bought the last black one from Byker
Much faster then my old iPad 3
Just got one to replace my 2012 nexus 7. Wow it's faster .....

Nicely screen and runs smoothly.
Surely the Lenovo Miix is the best value for money? 32gb storage (granted some used by the OS). You get office for a year - or you could sell the key to somebody else. You get Windows 8.1 with an upgrade to 10 which as far as I know you can move to a desktop if you wish. I really cannot see how noodle can justify such a price for this tablet.
When you can pick up a 128GB card for £44 the extra for the 32GB is extortionate
Bigspin
wow..£100 for extra 16gb....FK U Google.. oO
