It's a great game. Some say it's repetitive but if you like the game them you like what it's repeating. one of my favourite game franchises.
This is much better than the other deal on here at the minute considering it comes with all the DLC that normally costs an additional £20.

Shut up and take my heat :)

Thanks for posting.
lost many hours of my life playing JC 2 lol
ive not played #3 and tbh im not sure i could get back into it after playing GTA 5

What does the '20th Anniversary' part mean... is it like a GOTY version?

Yes it is pretty much the same mate, you get a lot of stuff with it that you wouldn't with the original.

is it worth it man? i mean will controls not be clunky and old dated u know my man? i might get it my friend cant stop telling me how it is tje best RE he has ever played. like for real brah?

Definitely worth it for <£5. im currently playing through it now and it is a very good Game, Controls can feel a little dated when you start. But you quickly get used to them and not being able to run 'n' gun adds to the tension.

i recommend installing the RE4HD mod, it improves the village, castle textures tenfold

Is this alright to play without a controller? I've always tried to buy the Resident Evil games on console, as that's how I've always played them.

Is there enough single player story content to justify this?

If you mean justify the price then yes, worth the full price of £11.99 in my opinion.

Loved these DLC on Xbox, haven't played them on PC yet though.
Highly recommend the Lost in Nightmares one with a buddy :D
Best Co-Op game I have ever played, bought the top tier Capcom bundle twice so I could force my son to play the DLC with me.

Yeah RE5 is great in coop, tried a little of RE6 in coop but didn't have the same appeal :(

Just really laggy in some places, and a lot of them had to be built from the ground up as Capcom Japan didn't hold on to the assets, so they're a little 'cobbled together' in some places. Mega Man 6 is particularly awful.

Word of warning - these are horrifically bad ports. Stick to the emulated versions.
How can ports of such outdated games be so bad? I don't understand how it could possibly be the case! I'm not saying you're lying btw, just asking how they managed to mess up games from so long ago when the graphics, audio, file size, etc is alot less demanding than games nowadays.
Got to agree with this - bought the collection for about £8 on Xbox a while ago and it's plagued with issues.

Also realised that I didn't really like Mega Man, so I've got that going for me at least, I suppose.

Playing XCOM 2 on PS4 after playing the first on my budget PC a while ago. Great game if your into turn based strategy games.
Scorchio! I just completed this - probably was my 3rd attempt and a bit of reloading on the final mission when my strategy backfired.
Life is strange is great, especially for £3.57

cracking prices, ironic wording for easter!
is this the company that gives new games unsealed?
Yes they are, but I've just heard. I never bought anything new from them. But, am buying a preowned copy on a weekly basis (at least once, somtimes more). I have a 10% code which is being processed forward every week and is used from one order to another. They are pretty decent with preowned stuff and their pricing is ace.
im really fussy with preowned, im almost ocd :| always get the ones with dirt stuck to the case or holes in the plastic sleeve, even "like new" on ebay come tatty!!

I agree 100%. When you treat your own collection immaculately, you do notice every little scuff! Mucky sods!

Never bought one of these before so went for the 10 and 5 boxes and I had a bit of pocket change in my Paypal account.

Worth noting that you can get duplicates in both the same tier and in different tiers. I ended up with 3 copies of Uncanny Valley, 2 from the 5 boxes and one in the 10.

Did OK in the end, but nothing better than that. Highlights (relative to the statement that this was 'ok') were:

Barrow Hill - Curse of the Ancient Circle (good game, retails at $7.99 on Steam)
Melissa K and the Heart of Gold (retails at $9.99 - good present for one of the nephews who love the hidden object games)
Uncanny Valley ($9.99 on Steam and something I've pondered buying previously)
Operation Flashpoint 2 ($9.99 on Steam - not great, but can maybe trade with a friend for something)

Probably got about my money back, but worth the extra couple of quid for the fun element.

It's a weird random gamble, you pay 79p and you get given a random game.
might be a good game, but more than likely you'll get some piece of crap no-one's heard of and you'll never play.
it’s packed full of gaming treasures
^ That is misleading as hell. You get one game. One. It's not packed full of anything.
what if the loot box is small? one game would fill that surely

There is a handy little Digital Foundry video that looks into the quirks of the game.

I hope they sort it out for everyone as its pretty dam good so far!
Wondering if I can run it properly @3440 x 1440p on a non x Fury
Great game but crashes (white screens) at around the 20 minute mark for me, before any save points.

Apparently this is an issue with newer AMD cards and the latest drivers (you can roll back but may experience a less efficient experience). Awaiting an update from either Square or AMD till it's playable (decent deal mind!)

This game is fantastic. Crazy, doesn't fit in one genre, beautiful soundtrack. Can't say much more without spoilers. Few games are worth full price these days, this is.
Be aware that the PC version has several issues. List of issues, including some fixes.
I had the resolution issue, which was resolved with the Borderless Gaming app. Couldn't maintain 60fps at all times (i5-4690K, 16GB RAM, GTX 970), but the drops weren't enough to ruin it - not even close.
What resolution was you running it at?

1080p. 1440p drops to 30-40fps.
MikeLondon
I'm running at 4K max settings but AA off, on a 1080, runs fine for me.... no window issues.

Good to know. 1440p on a 1080 here. Didn't download quick enough last night to play it yet.

i liked the original from humble bundle though controls fiddly on tablet and some missions really hard but yoi are happy when done! multi player was fun too. hmmm i should get this!
I honestly preferred the very neon and cyberpunk graphics of the original. =(

Great game . But I don't remember it looking this bad , I couldn't play it for more than about 30 mins without getting a headache

Looks like the AGA version. The normal A500 had a better look as was less colourful. Megadrive version was like Amiga but smoother but with horrid sound.
excellent!! cheers!!

how well do the older tomb raider games run on pc nowadays? is it a dosbox jobby?
For the classics TR1 2 and 3, If it is dosbox its well hidden, IMO the graphics are a LOT better than say the ps3 versions you can download from the playstation store, that version is a proper block and triangle fest, I have had some issues with it not being quite full screen but thats prob because I play it on my 4k monitor

How is this down to 10 and GTA is still over 30 lol. Aside from the replayability DX was the better game.
Well its only half a game with a AAA price tag (originally) that has awful performance problems and ****, rip-off microtransactions. A real shame as the previous game is fantastic whereas this one ended up being a cynical cash-in of a well thought of series. Down to publisher greed rather than the developers imo.

I only payed a tenner for it and still feel Ive been stiffed ;-)

People are still willing to pay for GTA regardless of how much better this is, DX underperformed so much so we might not even get the 2nd half of the story.
Perhaps not everyone has the amazing memories around DX1. I remember when it was released and my pc could BARELY play the demo. Upgraded a bit for the original and was simply an amazing experience.
The original hasn't aged well graphically so I guess modern gamers haven't gone back to try it, even with the mods on offer. I actually owned it on PS2 and it's a surprisingly good port, a lot of work was put into making it play seemlessly with a control pad.
Oh wow i never even realized they remade it for the ps2. I recenetly (1 yr ago) went back and replayed the original, and with (a whole ton) of mods I found the experience alright. I definitely agree it hasnt aged well, and to try get it to work with all the mods was a PITA. but it was just such a great game, rivaling half life when it came out years later. but i suppose we can say the same thign about that....not many people talking about the original half life/blueshift etc.... nowadays.

I really enjoyed this game but can only ever get a find a game on the original maps despite having all of the DLC.

Join TM8 group on steam.
I mostly use it for linking up with others playing extinction on Ghosts but I know plenty play BO III as well.

I didn't really like BO III, I think BO II was better.

If you lock this to 30fps, does it run with properly timed frame pacing? I heard it had awful stutter at launch.
There's no need to lock this to 30fps, unless your system can't manage a stable 60fps but you still want a locked frame rate. :)
Thanks for the non answer.
There is no issue with stutter (or none that I've noticed), therefore no need to lock the game to any frame rate to avoid a problem which doesn't exist.
Do you understand what frame pacing is? It was widely reported to be incorrect in this game at the time of its release. At 30fps, that is a problem. My CPU won't provide enough power to enable a solid 60fps target, so a lock at 30 with correct frame pacing would be preferable to me.
Sorry mate, I misinterpreted what you meant in your original question. I thought you were asking if it was necessary to lock to game to 30fps in order to avoid poor frame pacing.

I can run a FRAPs benchmark to test frame timing @ 30fps if you like? If you do want me to, do you have a preference as to how the frame rate is locked?
Deal has gone. It's £32 now
I've got this on PS4 though admittedly not hardly played it, is there any benefit in getting the PC version? Thanks.

Runs like crap on my I5/1070/16GB setup. Everything in Ultra, had to cap the FPS to 40/50 for smooth gameplay. My rig should have decimated it at 1080p/60fps. Google 'Wildlands CPU usage' and see how many people have been complaining. Beautiful game, great fun to play with friends (pretty much GTA: Bolivia) with military vehicles. Regardless, will probably wait until the price drops a few months after release.
It really must be a CPU bottleneck then. I only have a 1060 6gb, but an i7 5820k oc'd to 4.6Ghz. I capped it to 60hz and it was buttery smooth on ultra 1080p.
As for the people mentioning the fact it is was in a BETA.. by the time the open BETA came round, the physical copies were already pressed and probably being put on the back of trucks. No doubt there will be a day 1 patch.
Personally I wont be picking this up until it hits £15-£20. Too repetitive for me.

Yeah, I assumed as much. Still not consistent though, as my friends with lesser i5 variants and lesser GPUs still could get better frames. Probably some conflict from something mundane (as I said elsewhere, some people reported disconnecting a xbox 360 controller helped).

You obviously don't know what 'beta' means.
You obviously don't know what an 'open beta' is for.
Hint: it's not for identifying major code issues after the physical disks have shipped.
I don't know how you managed to attribute the above quote to me, but I never said it!
Huh, me either. Apologies.

No worries, I was confused cause I agree. An open beta is effectively a global demo, and occasionally a server stress test (which Ubi would frequently fail).

What are you on about?? it is a BETA, so it will have bugs. So what if this is after the physical disks have shipped, tell me which game nowadays ships and doesn't get updates almost straight away?. No one ships perfect final code anymore.
