Ehh no I work 50-60 hours a week...If you go to the doctors with hayfever or other allergies and he gives you a repeat prescription for pills then yes you are entitled to it... Completely different than claiming you are sick when you are not. It's no different than getting any other repeat prescription from the doctor.

You keep telling yourself that ;-)

Available free from the doctor in Scotland, Wales and NI.
Way to waste the time, effort and money from the NHS
By getting something you are entitled to?
Maybe everyone should go private for everything and then the NHS would be much better off.
Entitled to it! I assume you are also on the sick

Looks a bit dubious to me, think I'll stick with the scientific Michael moseley BBC documentary about this subject

Reading the fee terms , I think petercb is mostly right, also if you go further into booking it also states that full fees become applicable if you do not complete the course.
Free Courses
For courses marked with a triangle the College does not charge any compulsory fees if you are:

Aged 19 years or over and in receipt of Job Seekers’ Allowance (including National Insurance contributions only) or Employment Support Allowance (Work Related Activity Group - WRAG)
Aged 19 years or over and in receipt of Universal Credit and earning less than £330 per month and in the Work Related Requirements Group, the Work Preparation Group or the Work Focused Interview Group
Aged 19+ and earning less than £330 per month, and in receipt of any state benefit not listed above and believe this would help you to enter employment and the College considers this would satisfy a local labour need
Have been released on Temporary Licence (RoTL)

Then however there is this;
For courses marked with a F2 or F3 the College does not charge any compulsory fees if you are:

Aged 19 – 23, have not already achieved a full Level 2 or 3 and are studying to achieve a Legal Entitlement Qualification at Level 2 or Level 3 (indicated by F2 or F3 respectively), or you do not currently hold a full Level 2 qualification or above and are studying at Entry Level or Level 1 in order to progress to a Legal Entitlement Qualification at Level 2
Aged 19+ and studying a Functional Skill or GCSE in Maths or English and you have not already gained a GCSE grade A* – C in the subject.
If you are not sure whether or not you have already achieved a full Level 2 or full Level 3 qualification, please call our Information and Guidance team on 01278 441234.

Confused my brain already oO

Old tech now, the temple measurement ones are the latest thing so it's seems...
I think tympanic temperature is still more accurate for determining core body temperature.

Fair play, we've had one about eight years, good as gold, but all the docs I've seen in hospitals recently use the forehead or temple ones where they used exclusively use these for a good few years, reasons could be varied though....
No doubt this one might be better.. But just another option I brought https://www.aldi.co.uk/ear-%26-forehead-baby-thermometer/p/094078122171400Your text here from Aldi baby event.. Lots in most stores still.. Any good?

FFS people pay £2.09 for a reminder to drink water? How about your pee is a dark yellow an stinks! Is that not a good enough reminder for yah.

to be fair its probably aimed at generic people who drink tea/coffee/pop all day and not water, I drink only water (and alcohol) so this is useless to me, drank 1.5 litre within 30 today just from carryin kid home made me sweat the heavy ****

I'm too thick to know when to eat, is there an app available that will tell me when I'm hungry?

Unfortunately not, however there is a diet app which you can get which alerts you when not to eat
I'm too thick to know when to eat, is there an app available that will tell me when I'm hungry?
If your pee stinks and is dark then you clearly do need to be reminded as you are probably already dehydrated .
In normal circumstances you shouldnt need a reminder but you may need to drink more than usual for medical reasons or if you need to up your intake for fitness reasons .
I generally drink enough on a daily basis but do find these apps useful when I want to increase my usual intake.

So here is some logic. I didn't go for the nutribullet or ninja as I couldn't find them on offer and if I'd paid their current price and then they went on offer I'd be disappointed... so i went for this which, admittedly is cheaper at Amazon by 10 pounds, but i wanted jl piece of mind if it breaks...

You can also get the Withings Steel HR for £142.05 which, although a lot more expensive than the Activite, seems quite a good price considering the HR goes for about this price second hand on eBay.
I have noticed lately that all the Amazon warehouse grades are mixed up.ie Like New has cosmetic imperfections yet Good simply has damaged packaging.

Any suggestions about what foods to consume so I do not need to take Glucosamine or Chondroitin?
My brother in law was advised by his Consultant (a professor btw) to take these to help his back/hip problems....
I have neck, shoulder and spinal problems...... , and been taking these for years as advised by my consultant and chiropractor.

I stopped taking them about a year ago, as I was taking so many tablets......
I must admit, I am struggling to walk, even get out of bed some mornings, so I have just ordered some more, and am hoping it will do the trick.
But if you can tell me what food stuff provides the same beneficial effect on joints, I will appreciate it, as they cost a fortune.

p,s I already take fish oil and eat fish plus lots of fruit and veg.
just eat non processed food. less meat more fruit and veg and do some exercise. don't drink or smoke ... wow I just saved your life

Getting vitamins & minerals from food is always best. However, agricultural over farming has been depleting the soil & thus the food grown is not as nutritionally dense as it was say 60 years ago. Not to mention viramins & minerals additionally wasted due to time from farm to plate. Thus food is NOT as nutritionally dense.
This means that viramins & mineral supplements help to top up the levels, that the food one eats gives.
I am changing from chemically produced multi vitamins to multi vitamins made with & containing nutritionallly dense foods, as that will help my body to absorb the vitamins & minerals easier than the former

See my previous comment about not consulting a nutritionist (whose qualifications vary from dodgy to non-existent).

I know all about how easy it is to become a nutritionist by buying quick courses on deal websites.

I do have a B.Sc. (Homs) degree and know all about using Trusted & Quality sources, thanks.

Ah great, a nice trusty source like The Daily Fail. It must be true then!

Give it a few days and they'll have another article saying that Poundland vitamins are cr*p and to go for premium brands.

Is anyone reading this thread on statins? If so, have you ever eaten Grape fruit whilst on them? Information isn't clear on whether you can have a moderate amount of grapefruit whilst on statins.

The recommendation is that you don't mix grapefruit and statins. I don't know why and don't like grapefruit so don't know what would happen.

I was told DO NOT EVER have grapefruit - The trouble is that I cannot remember if it was the Statins or the other pills and potions I am on.

LOL, yea it is Statins. I just took half a tablet for the next 2 nights. I reckon that should all equal out. I hope!

Thanks so much! :)
I have been getting my peppermint oil capsules from this website for a few years which were so good that I no longer needed prescribed antacids. The dosage per capsule is small yet, so much more effective than a much higher dose capsule from a popular High Street shop, and which gave me worse heartburn! Luckily, said High Street brand refunded my money.

I buy my spices in bulk and whole from continental shops, which are very cheap compared to supermarkets, I get about a kilo of each, curry powder, cumin, corriandee, whole spices etc, for £1.99 and I grind enough for a month as I prefer a fresh aroma. These people are milking you for £8.99
cash back is turned down once you receive the order
Heated good deal.

Had some really good experiences with Graze before so more than willing to try more of these kinds of 'delivered meals/snacks' deals...

Thanks Op. Expiry dates were 09/2017 for the MultiFit and 08/2017 for the Vit D3 Max tablets that i got. Cant believe how much these are in H&B...even in their penny sale its still £6+ each!!
Saw these in Bristol Avon Meads store yesterday - plenty on the shelf. Not worth much more that £1 though!
These are quite good. I had them free with a menshealth subscription.
They're being discontinued.

Some sadly remind me of vomit, (sorry!) but the Berry ones I really like!
Vegito
even though they only contain "fruit and nuts" you should check out the amount of sugar in them. I like them too but theres a buttload of sugar

Natural sugar not added sugar though.
They're definitely different - a dense texture and not the best looking. I like them for a healthier energy boosting snack

they are quite cheap in bulk from costco. turned out to be a waste for me as they taste awful in my opinion

I have no access to Costco :( And paying 50p per small 30g bar is way too expensive ! And note that 50p is the reduced price... wtf...

No customer feedback? It is hard to tell how accurate these are tbh.
I picked one up yesterday and it was inaccurate with the Omron one that I have. I'm taking it back for a refund.
Hope this helps others who are undecided. Heat anyway for the price

Better off getting an Omron one for just a few pounds more,Have bought one from Lidl before and it was inaccurate.Doctors use Omron which are clinically validated.
You are right but a word of caution. I have used the Omron M2 basic for a number of years I change them every two years rather than recalibrate, but the last two - last checked today at the Doctors surgery were reading 10 and the one before 15 points too high. These were bought through Amazon so not sure what's going on as always got them thru them with no problem. My suspicion is that they're going out of calibration in transit as the M2 is clinically validated ( which Best Buy )

Risky Toys...these are. Risky because they give you crap readings and you then start to worry if something is wrong...
Really ??? Have you used one ? How is it risky if you compare it with the result at the Drs ? btw worry isn't 'risky' anyway.
Actually it is if worrying over something which has not been validated as I would not think these are, and is reading to high, can put your BP up considerably, believe me I know from experience. I've taken my BP for 24 years as have lived with hypertension, and an inacurate monitor is worse than no monitor. Wrist monitors a notorious for giving inacurate results. Even upper arm monitors can be inacurate probably by being chucked about in transit. So I advise ALWAYS take your monitor to your Doctor and make sure it's reading within limits!

sure, I've got very high blood pressure too. not worth worrying about as I've had it for years and now my 'terminal' illness is something entirely different. I'll probably die by being hit by a bus anyway lol :)

as we have both said. get the accuracy checked at the Drs.
