confirmation, they're there...In the centre part of Westfield. Think there's a chef giving a talk about making bread and a caravan where they give out huuuge slices for you to add jam...then two guys at front giving out loaves in bags. Not getting that much attention by passers by... nice bread. presume they just warm it not make fresh but it was lovely as a lunch snack
Ooooooooooo..... I'm local... and I looooove a deal/bargain/offer. I'll pop over and see if it's still there today :)
Weird, we got one free with our Tesco shop this week..
It is either that or they would be on the dole ;)
Saw them the last 2 days. I work locally.

Guys!!
Do you really claim from both apps (clicksnap and checkoutsmart) When they have the same freebies?? But with different receipts?
I once asked quidco and they Said that its NOT allowed and one claim Will be rejected
But it seems everyone is doing it

yes they really do, as long as its with a unique receipt its fine, im sure quidco could change it to one per ip per offer, but thats way to much hassle for them since as far as they know you took the offer your self and so did the wife or who ever else in the house hold, so 1 on each is totally fine, trying to get 1 on each in 2 or more different names than they might stop you, tho im still sure so on the users here do try

for the TDLD > quidco will only stop the claim if you upload the same receipt to both, but if its a unique receipt for both than 1 on each is fine,

Really expensive bread! Anybody that pays over £1.50 for bread needs their head testing!!!
Gives you an opportunity to find out what you are missing....we buy seed sensations weekly it is yummy. :-)

where is it cheapest atm?

Some (but not all) of them are £1.30 in Sainsburys. Always a good idea to check mysupermarket.com to see who's charging what for offers like these.

I've just been to Sainsburys to pick up some of the offers on CheckoutSmart. I only submitted my receipt about 20 minutes ago, and it has all been checked and I have been awarded all of the money - £3.55:-

Supermarket own brand British milk 2 or 4 pints - selected varieties - £1.00 cashback.
Free Arla Skyr Icelandic layered yogurt 150g - all varieties - 80p cashback.
Yeo Valley organic bio live fruity favourites yogurt 4x120g (on offer for £1.50) - £1.00 cashback.
Light & Free Greek style yogurt 4x115g - all varieties (£1.50 in store) - 75p cashback.

There are lots of other offers as well, but I just picked up a couple today.
First the free item was stopped we used to get free code via the fb page on Thursday.

Now the split and lesser amount of cashback. I hope we get to see the early offers and how the app used to be.
Heat to KiKai for the effort but big thumbs down to shopitize for range of offers & rates of cashback :(

FYI: Plenty in my Waitrose - featured with large SEL "special £1 until later in month"

For anyone suggesting this offer s/be in "Free" - it isn't because you have to buy the item as normal, paying in the store, and then upload your receipt to the website (either via phone App/camera or via Internet PC/scanner) to claim (hopefully) your £ back. Plus with CheckoutSmart you only get 100% back if/when you reach £20.00+ owing to you; otherwise they deduct a 5% withdrawal fee!

Anyone unfamiliar with CheckoutSmart ? see my links/tips/tricks/ideas on here at:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/store-receipt-cashback-shopitize-topcashback-s-snap-save-quidco-s-clicksnap-checkoutsmart-2133228

PS: Pleased to report rewarded within the hour - at £1.30 (ie I think the full SRP rate). I won't be complaining the way I have to when they under-reward me :)

Hovis and Kingsmill bread have gone downhill imo, even with a 3 to 4 day best before date the edges of the bread seem stiff. Began to dislike it so much that it forced me to buy a breadmaker.
Good deal if you're into soup and bread.
Bread even with all is keep fresh additives is not designed for warm places so thats most artificial heated homes, even a bread bin can get hot inside unless heavy duty heavy old style ones, sealing the bag and placing in the fridge preferably in a large plastic container works a treat. Bread lasts a week plus ;)
bread goes stale quicker in a fridgehttps://www.google.co.uk/search?num=100&site=&source=hp&q=bread+fridge&oq=bread+fridge&gs_l=hp.3..0l10.982.2909.0.3638.13.10.0.2.2.0.325.1144.0j5j1j1.7.0....0...1c.1.64.hp..5.8.836.0.YcKGmuSs9Dw
Fridge bread does not go stale after a couple of days, it doesnt go moldy either. Makes great toast.
Buy a loaf, half freeze, half fridged for the week ;)
I never said it goes stale in 2 days, just that it goes stale quicker
Thought everyone knew that
That link I posted had every link showing you shouldn't refrigerate bread
Care to show some evidence to the contrary?

Well I get mould on my bread in 2 days out the fridge, all year round. Fridge works.
im not posting a naked picture of my carb midrift, you are confusing HUKD with other sites you may frequent lol ;)

For an extra 29 pence in Farmfoods you can get a four pack of spaghetti and two loaves of bread (£2.29). If you use the FF vouchers it makes that slightly cheaper so cold for me.

We dont have a Farmfoods nearby, the nearest 'corporation' is a mile away - Tesco Extra, Alldays (remember them!) got closed down, more recently Greggs closed the doors after 2 years, Sainsbury Local was picketed beyond belief at the planning stage (2500 objections). We have 3 local shops all independents through Spar, Nisa and Premier, 6 hair/barbers, several charity shops and 3 bakers shops, 3 bars and about 20 independent owner occupied specialist shops, 1 independent chemist and the only corporation is Boots! Do I live in some posh village ? No a suburb of a major Scot city full of as many residents as uni students (who supported the permanent residents against Sainsburys) we are bucking the trend nationally, we dont use the corporations en masse ;)

The poshest end of the area has every corporation you can think of because they them in and most the independents folded.

The nearest Farmfoods is in the city centre area, full of junkies, cant see my areas residents spending £3 on the bus to Junkiefoods on cost, experience nor independence, besides Tesco Extra is not far a walk and no junkies ;)

Edit: Forgot the bank, and butcher, 1 of the specialists is a GREENGROCER! Remember them, fruit and veg shops for the younger lot on here ;)

The horrible thing is that these deals are not nationwide as we went to another store in Basildon and there was no promotion for this. It's a veritable wild goose chase.

Still no 2 for a pound in Southend....that would be extra special
Stopped buying bread from Farmfoods after they stopped selling Granary.
Hovis is far superior to the KIngsmill stuff, however, our Farmfoods stores all have the inferior brand. So no deal for me.
Still kingsmill in my local no hovis, popped in today :)
Need to pop in. Not been in my local for a while as they changed to kingsmill bread and I don't like that as much as hovis.

"Thin sliced...."

Sadly, I haven't seen "thin sliced" bread in any of the major supermarkets for some time so I bought a bread slicer and now make my own thin sliced bread.

Saturday 07th, Expirey Monday 09th/Tuesday 10th

Every Single loaf (60+) stickered
As others have stated orange stickers are short dates so if bought today they will be as late as the 10th as they reduce meat/bread/chilled items 2 days before use by/best before date.

I'd imagine this is very store specific if OP says this has been going on a while. Plus I don't understand why they don't have a ticket stating this price or at least a handwritten one, would save them stickering them all every day for 2 weeks.

Can the OP confirm the date of the bread when purchased and if every loaf was stickered? Off top of your head or if you noticed I mean X)
Waitrose still charge £1.35 per regular Hovis loaf - but, old running offer was 2 for £2 now it's 2 for £1.50. Got 2 reduced to 10p the other day, so got £1 off my bill as the full multibuy still applies. Love'em!

The thing is that Sainsbury's basics wholemeal bread is 40p all the time. Is this bread that much better than the basics range?
I think so
Not for your health isn't. Hovis/Kingsmill etc. add sugar to their wholemeal bread to make it taste 'better'. Supermarket own brands tend not to. Diabetic Britain, here we come......
Top 3 breads:

No.1 Warburtons
No.2 Hovis
No.3 Kingsmill

A friend of mines wife works for allied (kingsmill), and the supermarkets are making a loss on these at the moment. Even when at full price, they are always trying to cut prices from the suppliers (especially Tesco). Is all cut-throat like the milk wars.

Great price for Hovis and I believe it's a new regular price, not just a short term promotion - Heat
Prefer Braces bread myself but that's £1.00 in most supermarkets.

They are 'full size' from Farm Foods.
Have noticed that when I get them from Waitrose, they seem to be slightly fuller & larger.

Is like going to Poundland, a lot of their stuff are specially made for Poundland and so their sizes are smaller compared to wok you buy outside.
SCAM!! :(

Are these full sized loaves (800g) or smaller ones? If they're full sized, I'd be very interested.

I used to like alisons but that has lowered fiber too, and seems to be coloured with molases and is so sweet tastes like malt loaf, icky

Yep, the fibre content in lots of the brands has been lowered considerably in the past year or so - where you used to get about 2 to 2.5g of fibre per slice you are lucky to get 1.5g now with some brands.

Wheat generally is not good for us and lots of things like allergies, asthma, coeliacs is linked with it. Eating it for fibre is the only real health benefit and if you cannot get the fibre, and the taste is not there, why eat it?

I actually dont buy bread. but eat wholewheat organic pasta everyday, even that isn't very 'dark'
even greens are being breed to be less bitter with more sweet taste. like bitter is bad, thats the point of eating it take the bitter take alot of the nutrition apparently

agree tasteless and texture is wrong. when toasted it reminds me of bread that been toasted when its 'freezer burnt'

Absolutely disgusting - it made terrible sarnies, toast was rubbish and I daren't think what it is doing to my insides. The fibre content is rubbish. This is not the Hovis that my grand-parents used to give me as a kid.

I just made an egg sarnie with it and it fell apart. I have both the crusts left and, being a good hotukdealer, I will use them for beans on toast but will never buy this bread again. 50p was too much!

Hi Moob

At the moment Asda are doing the 800g Kingsmill loaves for 69p wholemeal and white, the wholemeal is excellent has a nice malty taste brilliant with strong cheese
It's actually 79p.
This really isn't much of a deal.

Thought it was 69p but even at 79p its a bargain
Moob when you say its not much of a deal I assume you mean the Hovis deal and not the Kingsmill from Asda. Most of the major supermarkets are discounting the prices of some of the Big brands of Loaves of bread, they have to as Lidl and Aldi have them on permanent low prices (well low in comparison to the other supermarkets) the greater the share of the market Lidl and Aldi take the more Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, will have to cut prices to compete.
The UK market has always been grossly overcharged by most of the big brands look at Nescafe they were charging (and still try UK customers twice what they were charging mainland europe for their standard original granules. That is why there has been so many shops selling the Euro Nescafe labeled jars at a far cheaper price than the UK jars and if some suppliers/retailers can fund shipping the stock into the UK then selling it for such a lower price it shows what a rip off their standard prices are.

It's called bakers pride and I can confirm it is their "soft white" and "best of both" just in different bags

Didn't know that ...750g x2 makes it a good deal for £1.30
Good price but these are 750g instead of 800g. Still way cheaper than other places per gram but I don't like the sneakiness. Also, Hovis already add a lot more water than other breadmakers to make it seem like you're getting more for your money. Cheeky buggers.
Excellent deal. Wake up ASDA and TESCO etc.!!!.
