I've seen these in both Cambridge and Haverhill Aldi stores. Used mine yesterday and works great, these are tiny compared to the alternatives. And cheaper while it's on clearance

Can't find these from link. Searched 'jump starter', the results were 3 Moses baskets, a bottle of wine and an air tools kit. 'Energizer' yielded nothing.
The capacity of these is always over inflated. The 7500mAh quoted is at 3.6v. At the 14.4v needed to jump a car battery it is only 1.875 Ah.

The 4GB config really shouldn't exist in the Pro lineup imo.
4Gb is fine for most users, the SSD is fast enough for the virtual memory and there is a reason why 128Gb SSD devices hardly every come with 8Gb: page file and the hibernation file are much bigger so less free disk space.
Again a user fails to read and comprehend my comment.
I said 4GB shouldn't be included in the Pro lineup.
Put it in the Surface family but start the Pro sku with 8GB. That's what I said. Not that the 4GB model shouldn't exist. It just makes little sense to have it in a Pro branded device imo.

I guess 'Pro' must mean most casual users and their nan's nowadays.
i agree with you for the most part on the 'pro' naming attribute. quite misleading and should come standard with 8GB ram and do think the prices are extremely high for what is on offer however im working on the basis that while yes this device is expensive and should be of higher spec standard, this deal isnt bad for such a great capable machine regardless of the lack luster of additional ram. but as aforementioned the majority if not eveybody who uses this should be buying to do things that would utilise such a huge ram buffer. unless there idiots...

4GB depends what your using it for generally most applications dont use more than 4GB anyway so that they conform with 32bit operating systems aswell less production cost. So in general your device will perform fine with mot applications and under a fairly decent load unless your planning on using at as video editing machine and 3d rendering, in which case why are you even buying considering this?
The Surface Pro range is a 64-bit setup.
Agreed though on the 4GB comment. For everyday users, 4GB will be fine.
In addition, I wouldn't recommend making a new account if you already have one.
Sorry i was working on the presumption that everybody knew the specs and operating system architecture i should have been more clear that it is infact 64bit architecture and operating syste, and capable of running full X86 based programs... i was just making the opposing argument to this that yes its a powerful machine but will never use its 4GB max ram cache unless your doing very intensive stuff which makes me beg the question why you'd look at this device...

Just what does Pro mean, Andy Murray, he's a Pro, don't imagine he needs 8GB. It's a stupid idea to call anything Pro, it's meaningless in an object, premium or standard would work better and then it would make sense to call this a standard device, not premium.

Tell Microsoft and Apple. They use it in their product names.

I'm just saying that 4GB is a base/entry spec is more suited to a non pro (premium) device such as the regular surface.
Hopefully they fix it in this year's refresh.

I suspect a lot of the cold votes are as much to do with the previous prices, for instance I got my 8GB (< 4GB currently in use ;-) ), for £774 once I sold the Xbox that came with it, plus a Quidco discount on top. I'm not even sure that was the best deal at the time.

Not the first time I have seen this comment here although I am not sure disk thrashing is the brightest idea when it comes to an ssd's life span - just saying.

So somebody posts something which is obviously "not a deal" and yet it still gets voted hot. As has been said before, HUKD is full of people who just click hot next to anything without actually reading.
It answers very clearly the question that appears daily, "how did this get voted hot?"
That's such a bargain! Why isn't this hotter!?! :p;)
They are normally 39p or 3 for a pound
come on guys it's obviously a joke (_;)
This is Not a deal. The Poundland deal prior to Xmas was the best deal on these so far....2 x 8 multipacks for a quid. Filled up the cupboards on that one! I can't believe one for 39p and 2 for a pound is considered a deal of any sort! sorry op! no heat from me

Don't you mean the exits.
It still works out cheaper to go Beefeater if you have kids as they eat for free, £8.99 each adult saves 50p-ish per head (Toby charge the same price for kids). Come with the same sort of stuff included (standard brekky stuff, continental, juices, tea, coffee etc).

It's nice enough, not really 'XTRA HOT', perhaps a bit spicier than the original. I prefer the original however as it seems to have more flavour. Suggestion is to buy the original and add cayenne pepper to jack up the heat if you need to
Absolutely agree with you. I was buying this from Amazon in the gallon bottles and one time I got the extra hot and it sacrifices that really zingy flavour that makes it good in the first place. They need to stop selling this in these weedy bottles. This sauce is almost a drink, it's so nice.
A reasonable value purchase to get my free coffee.

Ashman -exactly right - if you want to return the item you must either refuse delivery on the doorstep or if you take delivery you must NOT take off the cellophane wrapping (all nicely done by Apple). There is a large red warning on the cellophane that says you must keep the phone if you remove the wrapping.
Return policy information

"Non returnable under our Approval Guarantee, once installed or connected. Your statutory rights are not affected. See Returns section in our Help pages for more information."

I don't know Very's full return policy just above. It jogs memories of rows with Currys sales assistants - sir you opened the box!

Arrrrgh I just clicked one link (not confirm, something like add to account) and it accepted an order. FFS tried cancelling 2 minutes later and they tell me it's processing and can't be cancelled and I should reject it on delivery. BS... This is for an expected delivery date of 1 month! Seriously... I can't cancel an order that won't be delivered within 1 month because payment has been processed?

I had the same issue, they will not cancel even if u call them and they agree to do it.I called around 6 times and yet the item was dispatched so I declined it and it was fine.Make sure u call then and inform them that parcel should 'NOT' be delivered to neighbour etc as you want to decline it and you are not responsible if they deliver elsewhere.

Guys, anyone bought 2 apple products with this offer?
If I buy in 2 separate orders, will it add 20% for both in May?
Looking at terms, does not shed any light..Does not say only one per customer etc..

Thanks in advance..

I've done 2 separate orders. One is going back though as the colour I wanted came back in stock.

Like you say, it doesn't say you can only use the offer once so I can't see there being any probs. I've taken screenshots of all the T&C's etc just in case though! :)

You will see them all over the place - bus shelters, magazines, pamphlets etc etc you scan them with your phone and it will, for example, take you to their website, send an email, deliver rich content, download a business card or provide other information etc. They are a great marketing and contact tool.
It's just a publicity thing to Jack up the price of a free app and do a free sale on it so it get attention and hits. It's a brand new app.

it has worked for lots of people who are on a different tariff to that in the deal link. there's no confirmation though what happens at the end of the year. the default outcome would be as you suggest though. sorry not very helpful :(
I didn't get it either. I'm on AYCE data and 600 mins for £17, I just wanted the 30gb hotspot so no great loss.
Oh, well... my attempt to get the deal has failed. I've just received a text message saying that there's a problem and I should call 333.
Tried it but probable didnt work as my 12 month expired a month ago. Went on their offered deal of 30gb, 600min + unlimited text for £20per month
Just signed up again for a year.... result :D

choosing the naked smoothie or the big can of red bull feels like you are cheating the system and getting a good deal, but really you're just playing into their hands. if you really want to save money take a packed lunch to work.

Not possible for thousands of people that spend most their week in a hotel.

Leas people should cheat on their wives then
would like to see them in more travel outlets like airports and train stations

Are these any good compared to the standard Colgate toothpaste?

I personally swear by it.

I have a sensitive spot in on my gums and as soon as I started using this, I have no sensitivity at all.

Also the one with the whitening is my personal favourite as it does keep them clean and help lift stains.

I know I must sound like a rep, but it's the best toothpaste for sensitivity and whitening on the market in my opinion.

For £1.75 a tube, it's an absolute no brainer and whenever they're on discount, I buy at least 4!

Hope that helps :)

Personally i'm hoping for larger books...something like the "Absolute" versions that DC releases would be great!

That would be amazing! New image looks good too.
Amazon has added an image to the listing!

Does anyone know what the dimensions of the hardcovers are? Read these 10+ years ago in the US softcovers so just wondering whether these are bigger

It has yet to be announced. When Dark Horse lost the publishing rights to Akira and Kondansha re-released it, the volumes were the same size so it wouldn't surprise me if they stay the same again for the new hardcover versions!

I'm voting hot on this because it's a very good deal for what you get - essentially, you're getting a nice big boxset of hardback versions for the cost of the softcovers today.
The Akira Club book is well worth having too (although you can usually pick it up a lot cheaper than those amazon prices suggest).
And this is just the starting price...there is every chance the price will still drop untill the October release date!
A quick eBay search shows only one English version "Akira Club" book for sale at £38 but that still puts the combined total over the deal price and the book is 2nd hand.
Kinda puzzled why this is getting voted down!?
The Akira Club book seems to have jumped in value in recent years - I picked it up a couple of years ago for less than twenty quid.

Either way, this is a really good price.
