[quote=Premier] [quote=lohsmith] For anyone considering the bicyclehero option mentioned in the post above, the Reecharge dynamo kit from bicyclehero.com appears to be just the power converter and I don't think it includes the Reecharge battery power pack. SJS cycles also sells the kit for £21.99

http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/biologic-reecharge-dynamo-kit-prod27225/?src=froogle

You then have the option to buy a snazzy case for the Iphone at £87.99 for connecting directly to the power converter or the Reecharge battery power pack (which was included with the original deal by Evans) at around £70 from various online shops.

The route I would go down would be to buy the Reecharge dynamo kit and buy my own battery with a far bigger capacity. The battery could then be fully charged when coming into contact with mains electricity and provide a good supply to have in reserve.

Battery options.

Good find for anyone that is late getting to this thread. I think I still prefer the original Evans item, simply because that Reecharge pack can recharge itself as well as another peripheral simultaneously. I may be wrong, but I have yet to come across an external USB power pack that does the same thing. They seem to either be in a charging or a discharging state...

Of course, if it were a toss up between £85 for the complete kit, or £21 for your suggestion, yours would win every time!

Cold for mentioning iPhone in the thread.

Oh how I grow tired of such comments! Xbox 360 vs PS3, Android vs iPhone...
Who gives a damn?!!!

When it comes to a device like this, it'd be silly not to mention the iPhone compatability. Why?? Many similar dynamo devices DO NOT WORK with iPhone because of their fluctuating power levels...

I don't think you should be voting at all if you are voting cold simply because of some weird aggravation about the word iPhone.

So you read and post on boards where you "haven't voted either way" then carry on reading posts but not only that copy someone elses THANKFUL response and criticise them.

I read lots of threads where I don't vote. It's not compulsory.
On this particular deal, I didn't fully appreciate what this was and how useful or not it would be so I carried on reading, Is that a problem?
The first person I saw do any real criticising was you with your "people who haven't read the title and haven't already got Dymos so are whinging about the cost of converting" and your A. Partridge quote which I took as a dig at me 'cos I didn't sing the praises of this thing.
So I can't see how that was THANKFUL to the people you were insulting.
I still don't know who these whingers are by the way, care to point them out?

I am guessing you have quite a few issues. Best of luck getting the help you need and commenting on posts that you have absolutely no interest in. It must be a very serene life you lead. I expect it is hard being such a nice, useful life when you have the energy to post such things.

Do you have a bike? 'cos you certainly don't have a "Dymo" so I assume you aren't interested in this thread either, yet you posted in it. oO

I couldn't understand your last point.

Oh, and by the way, see the red word "expire" at the bottom of the OP, try hitting that. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn219/jumpingphil/thumbsup.gif
Don't be affraid to ask for any more help if you need it.

You also seem to be hugely paranoid. I see absolutely no point in commenting on a deal and then admitting that I have no idea what its about or what use it could be to anyone.

I think you need to stop smoking whatever you are cos it is making you pretty irrational...

Are you just a little bit, well, "inadequate" Phil? You seem a bit obsessed. Are you really that ignorant to not know about DYMO - DYNAMO - and their origins?

It seems so...

How do you think those DYMO label writers worked before...

Grow a brain and post something intelligent if you insist on flaming otherwise keep ya head stuck up ya stinkhole.

Stop FAILING - it's embarrassing - but hilarious

I was an Android supporter, had an Android phone, also had a 4G 60GB iPod. That's been playing up a bit and I needed a new phone. Every smartphone I've ever had, from the very first Windows Mobile phone (Orange SPV) onwards, has slowed down to crawling speed in the two years I've owned them. And they were all bought with my hopes to use all the features they came with, but I ended up not doing so because they weren't fast enough to process them.

My last Android was an HTC Hero. Yes, I'm sure they've come a long way since then. I read reviews and tested a lot of phones in a lot of shops. Every Android, including the S2, seemed to occasionally be a bit slow to do basic things. You choose a function, had to wait for it to happen. I'm not saying they're all like this, but it made me think that if they struggle now with onboard apps, it's not going to get much better.

All my friends with iPhones - none of them report that theirs have slowed down whatsoever. And my friends range from serious techies to knowing nothing about tech. So after deliberating between an S2 and an iPhone 4S, I bought 4S from Apple (and am on giffgaff) and it's bloody brilliant. Everything just works, and all the apps I've added work too. Maybe it'll slow down over time, but my friend's experiences suggest it won't, plus it will get an OS upgrade in a year as Apple always do, and it's replaced my iPod. Well, not fully, as I've installed far too many games!

If you're happy with your S2, good. I'm not surprised. It can't have won that many awards for nothing. But I was sick of all my old phones being unreliable to receive calls and decided I'd try a locked down just-works OS, and I'm blown away by the iPhone.

Not hating on iPhones but I just dont see the appeal for myself in them.

No-one has ever answered what they can do what a higher end android mobile such as Galaxy S2 can't at 2/3rds the price?

They can make you go Baaaaaaah. HTH.

A13's addicted to an iPhone but can't afford one.... Haha!

If u don't want an iPhone, why click on an iPhone deal? All these iPhone haters are stopping people that want a deal to notice. Why are people anti iPhone? The more u hate the more popular the phone gets. Get one urself or get over it people!

Do one a-hole.

This in an unbelievable thread and should be archived as an example of trolling by a clever competitor targeting a rival in an online attack.

I do not believe for one minute that so many people, using the internet, searching for discounts and vouchers on the internet - many of these vouchers for online purchases - are having a hissy fit about being asked for their bank details to verify that the card user is not a scam artist themselves. I have more faith in peoples evolution into the 21st century than that.

Just my tuppence worth...
Man alive, some people have no sense
Why is everyone here so crazily paranoid?! This kind of deal is not an anomaly. LoveFilm do this along with many other companies.
Graze are amazing and in no way is this a scam. It says quite clearly you can cancel your deliveries after the first FREE box. I received a box once a week for a year and they are really great - delicious, varied and a real treat.
So, come on people. Stop being so quick to jump on the bandwagon saying this is 'obviously a con', 'underhanded' or whatever.
OK...this is not a con. They ask for your bank account details as this is a subscription service. You get a box every week for instance. You can cancel any time. I've been using them before this promo came out and its really good :)

I WANT to try the Nibble box, but am not prepared to give my visa card details - why don't you be sincere? Also, why TWICE a week deliveries - I would happily pay £1.74 per week for a weekly delivery.
You can have once a week deliveries... just unclick the days you don't want.
