Plus much better battery! In saying that good job apple are doing some great stuff for new mac os as I'm loving my Xperia ultra I just bought! Think either iPhone or massive phablet are the way to go!
I'd rather have a five c then either of those phones as it's a really cool phone....I own a nexus 5 and it's also a great phone but the 5c is much nicer and more well built

cold not worth, in China iphone 5C bought from TAOBAO is only about GBP320 and still less people buy this phone,

So no VAT, import duty, transportation costs etc etc etc..

What I want to talk about is the price of 5c is too high and it is not worth to buy even in 320GBP. The consumer must to know they would like to buy a mobile to use or just a brand.
With this amount of money, buy GOOGLE NEXUS5 or LG G2 (bigger screen, faster and do not like the cheap plastic toy),
they are much better than this “cost down iphone5” iphone5 is a good mobile because of high quality metal case.
(5c all the thing are same as iphone5 but with cheap plastic case)

you can pick up new and sealed 16gb iPhone 5s's on ebay for about £400. i'd much rather have a 16gb 5s than a 32gb 5c tbh
It's a tough call between a 16GB 5S and a 32GB 5C. The 5S looks better to my eyes, has the faster processor, finger print sensor, and a slightly better camera, but it's single biggest weakness is the fixed 16GB (12.3GB effective) storage. Many people may not actually need more than 16GB, but many do or will at some stage in the future, and this could hamper usage.

My opinion is that low storage is much more of a bottleneck than the slower processor. Nobody complains about the 5C being slow, and with future IOS updates the 1GB of ram per device will limit performance more than the processor itself. Just look at the 4S which struggles horribly with IOS 7 when multiple background apps are running due to low ram, rather than lack of CPU horsepower.

The 5S is certainly the nicer phone, but whether it is worth the extra cash (for same storage sizes) depends on it's intended usage. My iPhone 5S 16GB is constantly full and I have to flip apps and music much more often than is practical. It's also a pain when I cannot record video due to lack of storage. In many cases a 32GB 5C would suit my needs better.

Apple 5c at the price of Note 3? MWAHAHAHA!!!

I know, what are Apple smoking seriously?! The 5C has been a complete sales disaster as it was meant to be their 'budget' option and just ended up being massively overpriced.

Apple need to up their game because the iPhone is basically the same today as it always has been and probably has the smallest screen of all phones at that price point!
Quotes from people with the facts below.

"AppleInsider reports that the iPhone 5c, for all its reported issues, actually outsold every other flagship smartphone out there last quarter with an estimated 12 million 5c’s sold to date. Compare that to 9 million Samsung Galaxy 4S’s, 8.2 million Nokia Windows smartphones and 2.3 million LG G2′s,"

I guess that the 5C must be overpriced and under-spec when it only outsells the excellent LG G2 by 5:1.

Maths are a bit off, lol - potential £225 off over 24 months is £9.?? and change off £37...nowhere near 24.?? a month unless I'm missing something
From the site:

£120 by Redemption
With this deal, you are entitled to claim £120 by redemption. Your £120 is available by redemption in 5 stages: £24 at month 6, £24 at month 10, £24 at month 15, £24 at month 20, £24 at month 24

Therefore £32.99 a month after redemption.

I got rid of this case anyway it's shocking, I use my £35 apple case so much better
Had a 99p case on my s3 for nearly 2 years now and it gets dropped all the time, my s3 is still in pristine condition. So Mr more expensive is better, I think you're wrong
When it says "shock proof" maybe that means that nobody will be shocked when you tell them it was only a £1 !

Aren't we all smart **** here (OK, not everyone). Of course the quality of a £1 case is going to be suspect. FFS.

Yes, there is no guarantee that a £20 case won't be as poor quality, but you can be sure this one is naf. Jesus.

What if a £20 case was reduced to £5, would you as the supplier if it was suspect quality of possibly 1/4 as good as you initially believed it was because it's not 1/4 the price before? Your logic is stupid yet you don't see it...

But it is not £5.00 it is £1.00.....and tbh you only get what you pay for.....i can get cheap remoulds for my bmw at half the price but i wouldnt touch them with yours.

All my phones get a tech 21 case as i know they are quality and if i drop it i know it is going to be safe.

ihurren is right i'm afraid, this case is going to be naff, and you all know it, or your all dressed in primark gear and don't know quality if it came up to you and slapped you in the face? :p

Snap on the BMW ;), certain things of mine I will not half-cut it I only want the best stuff (within my own personal budget) and I myself wouldn't buy such a case, I was just pointing out the logical stupidity he put up effectively saying that "the more expensive it is the better it is" which granted in most cases would pretty much be right, but not in all instances, especially when taking into account people's budget. At the end of the day this is a "bargain hunting" site and this is a "bargain" for a phone case at £1, whether people like it or not is up to them. I'm glad some people can actually have a laugh on this site though, I'm not a fan of Primark personally xD

To be fair you are right to a certain extent, there is crap out there going for daft money, but to be honest theres more crap out there going for pound.
Yes this is a bargain site, but if it's crap then its not really a bargain is it.....and if your budget is a iphone 5s then surely it needs to be sat in something better than a case from the pound shop lol.
Most of the stuff from the pound shop is crap, but i do go there for the kids cans of pop etc which is brand name stuff, 3 for a pound, so im not a snob or anything, and i do like a bargain as we all do on here. :)

You've laid exactly my thoughts on a plate there :) I'd never judge anyone for shopping in wherever they shop, I'd find people who do so quite pathetic tbh xD, but yeah you can find some hidden gems in the pound shop but most of it is cleverly advertised to make you think it's a bargain at £1 but you'd still be better off going to proper supermarkets. As for tech and stuff, again I agree, I'd personally never use a £1 case (funny you should mention the 5s, it's what I've got xD) I've got a mil-spec case, even though I'm not much of a phone dropper, as well as a screen protector - done the same with my iphone 4 previous, 2 years with a screen protector and when I sold it took it off to show the person and it was in mint condition ^_^

HI Askrulous,It doesn't matter.thank you very much.
rubbish phone I have one, full of faults. Sometimes the screen is blank when you are trying to access the phone so someone calls you and you cant answer or see who it is. Anything but a gentle put down on any hard surface immediately switches the phone off (battery slightly loose maybe?) also knock it in your pocket and it will switch off. Other software faults too.
Absolutely hate this phone, also small memory

But come on Samsung. Plastic, again?

Not to be a fanboy (I own an S4), but I really do think Samsung are turning into Apple. The quote of "Consumers don't need a new design every year" (or there abouts), the price hikes, the fact this is more of a S4(S). It's about time they started releasing some good stuff. Sure the S5 is waterproof and has the new display, awesome but these are subtle changes. A new aluminium body and it would be great. Except it's not. It's Samsung using plastic again. And TouchWiz, well let me just say it needs a re-design or getting rid of COMPLETELY.

A removable battery is what keeps me going back to Samsung. I don't mind the plastic and have just bought a new back cover for my S3 for £5 to replace my original scratched and chipped one. Had it been another phone I would either have smashed glass or scratched and dented metal on the back. I see people with smashed rear glass on their phones all the time and even in phone shops - not an attractive look.

I don't use a case because that's my preference - adds bulk (however little) and my phone is in and out of a car holder all day, but I'm sure if/when Samsung move to a glass/metal body they'll just be accused of copying Apple/HTC anyway.

I skipped S4 so the S5 is a worthwhile upgrade from my S3, but I agree the S5 doesn't bring huge innovation over the S4 except waterproofing which I think is a big jump and I personally value any camera improvements. I thought Samsung had reduced the Touchwiz footprint and bloatware from the S4? Either way, mine's just arrived whilst typing this. Thanks OP.

Edit. Oops, I got the O2 refresh deal rather than this one.

Er... if you have a developer account (tip, about £20) then you have put windows 8.1 which answers many of WP's drawbacks.

I'm actually tempted to pick up a Lumia 1320 / 1020 / 1520, load that on and i'll be happy with my flow keyboard, VPN and great camera! Only thing really missing (for me) is Sky Go ! :(

You don't have to pay £20 for a developer account. I'm currently rocking 8.1 on my Lumia 920 and haven't paid a penny. :)
I have a Nokia Lumia 920, it is a brilliant phone and the contract is half the cost of an iPhone or Samsung equivalent
WP8.1 is a superb update. I have set my region to US and have been using Cortana over the last 24 hours. It really does make everything so so easy. Setting an alarm takes seconds, setting complex reminders takes seconds too. I'm also loving the geofenced reminders (remind me to pick up milk from Tesco's then gives me a reminder when I am near to Tesco's to pick up said milk!).
I thought WP8 was great...WP8.1 has leapfrogged iOS for sure (aside from apps)...and Android looks horribly disjointed alongside WP8.1.
These price reductions are just the icing on the cake.

Also, for anyone with a 1520, 1320 or 1020, go into the 'Nokia Collection' on the store, and find the rewards app. It generates a download link for £20 in MS Account rewards. Free apps :)

And everyone thought three would still offer unlimited data once 4g arrives! Another 5 months left
They do for SIM only plans. Just signed up for one less than a month ago. £12.90 a month for 600 mins, 5000 texts and unlimited 4G data. Can't see a better deal than that being offered anywhere else in the near future.

I might downgrade to that but I'm peed off with their network, speed and call centre staff. I stuck in an EE payg sim and got 25mbps on three when I do have 4g coverage in London I get 7-8, that's just normal 3G speed badged as 4g

Good job I upgraded to a 2 year one plan last month. Still got my unlimited data and tethering. Pretty sure they can't take that away from me! I use about 2gb per night, minimum!

Which network and deal will you be planning to move to?

Any other network probably go back to O2 as I was with them for 10 years no problems and with three I've been having problems with three for past year

whoever compares the HTC one M8 with Lumia 1520 is not doing justice. hte one is one hell of a phone. Probably the best phone of 2014 . Windows phones are struggling already. I accept that the camera might be better but thatS about it. no match ...
go for htc one. you will not be disappointed.

Also onestopphoneshop same deal too.

I got a much better deal from Vodafone, £45 phone, £28.50/month for unlimited calls & texts and 9GB 4G data plus 2 years of free spotify premium. :) This was through retentions though so not posted as a deal.

Can you tell me how? I am due for upgrade in the next week or so
Were you out of contract or just in the upgrade period.

My Voda contract was up on 1st May so I asked for a PAC code via online chat, refused all the offers. Got PAC code and retentions phoned me the following day, asked what I wanted (phone/tariff) and they came back with that deal. They have sent me the silver M8 by mistake but replacing it with a grey one tomorrow (I wanted grey).
EE were still selling for £449.99 for anyone interested. This is a good deal on contract. Heat.

Thanks OP. Have ordered. (+£27 quidco)

Will sell the phone for £400ish after fees and buy a Lumia 1520 with the money.

Where can you get UK stock Lumia 1520 for £400? Post that deal man!

Haven't looked closely into it yet.

The gooddeal4you one on amazon is £366 shipped from the UK though may be an international version? (warranty issues?)

Whichever way I decide to go however, will save a lot over 1520 contracts. Nothing cheaper than £38 a month for the same allowance which I need.

I have not managed to find a UK version for under £500. Be very careful with gooddeal4you - I would be more inclined to buy an upgrade from someone on Ebay than a grey import. You might find there are problems with LTE bands as well as warranty issues - best of luck.

Thanks anyway for replying.

Hello did anybody redemeed their first installment. Dail A phone (Phone4U) went into adminstrator last year (howver I noticed that now) then how to do that ?
Cheers

No you wont be able to redeem, the company going in administration is one of the risks you take with a redemption deal. There's no way to get the cashback reward if it's the one with Dial A Phone themselves, if it's the TopCashBack/Quidco one then if it's not been paid then you've no chance of seeing that cash either.

Best bet is to call the network provider and plead your case but you are unlikely to get anything from it.

A redemption cashback deal? Is it 2007 again?
SmallSpender
Are dialaphone redemptions really postal only? Was seriously tempted by this deal but that is ridiculous. No way can I be bothered to learn the ins and outs of the postal system again. Envelopes, stamps, print outs, costs... then find a post box.... f that.
No it's definitely 2014 and I have been successfully using redemption deals for years. Most companies provide two months to send the bills in. Dial-a-phone were pretty lenient with me when I last used them, even when I was stupid enough to miss a two month deadline.
It's not hard. I get the vouchers through with the phone and put the dates I need to send bills in my diary. I then print them out and send every three months which takes a grand total of 5-10 minutes each time.
I thought this website was about saving money! Contracts without redemption usually cost about £100 more overall in my experience.
As I previously said though, there are two reasons redemption will not work for you:
1. You are incredibly disorganised / forgetful (like I have been in the past admitedly and learnt the hard way)
2. Lazy

Now also needs to add, if the company goes into administration.

My contract came through fine, I had the number ported over but they took 24 hours longer than they said it would as Orange had some issues at their end. Managed to bag 50% off line rental for 1st 2 months, and 10% off my line rental for the full 24 months. Quidco has tracked the cashback fine. The moto G arrived unlocked. Provided the cashbacks all come through ok - looks like a pretty damn good deal!

What a great game! Only 1 downside: I completed it, getting all lums and every crown, and then got through the last 4 'time trial' levels, but there was no "congratulations, you have completed the game" or anything! I got every achievement there was, but nothing... At least roll credits or something, it took me ages!! Still, fantastic game, great fun and well worth £1.99 so a steal at 99p.

Does anyone know how to do the clock
My son has one and it works fine still after about 4 years, it has even been taken on holiday with us. I agree the clock is bright but he placed a small flap of card over it and just flips it up to see the time.

I went through 2 official Apple lightning cables within a couple of months of them coming out, tried the crap £2 off ebay versions they lasted even less, then discovered these. Bought 1 over 12 months ago, no issues and still working perfectly!
I just came up with an amazingly original opinion.

Apple are a bunch of profiteers exploiting hipsters and the technologically feckless.

Apples' £15 version has 1 1/2 star out of 5 review on their own website.
Might be worth getting the 6ft cable for an extra 2 quid :)

Why are people voting cold, this is good!

Because a cable shouldn't be this price I suppose. Apple make cable makers pay a licensing fee for the right to make these cables & in return us, the consumer have to pay inflated prices. Any other cable (different connections) of this quality would be a maximum of £3 Thats probably why.

Thats Apple though, THIS price for THIS cable is a deal...

How Apple Changed the Mobile Market with the iPhone

In 2007, having already revolutionized the computer and music player industries, Apple and Steve Jobs introduced the product that would come revolutionize the mobile phone industry. Initially met with contempt by competitors such as Blackberry, the original iPhone had sold 6 million units by the time it was discontinued in 2008.

iPhone: Premium Mobile Device

The original iPhone design combined the functionality of a touch screen iPod, a mobile phone and a non-WAP based mobile phone browser. These are all common place elements in today's market, so it may be hard to imagine how revolutionary the combination of these elements was for the time. Apple followed up with the iPhone 3G a year later, which brought forth high-speed connectivity and an app store that would become the standard format for almost all future app stores. The iPhone 3GS disappointed most users as it included little more than minor upgrades in performance and storage to the already existent features.

The next major upgrade would come in the shape of the iPhone 4, with a flat design, a high pixel screen and an integrated antennae upping the smartphone game stakes ahead of competitors that were slowing catching up with the next generation of mobile phone. By the time the iPhone 4S hit the market, Apple's marketing had done what it needed to make sure the public knew that the 'S' was now a standard marker for 'minor upgrade'. Thus, expectations were limited, as was disappointment in the limited number of changes on offer.

The first offering of the seventh generation saw little innovation beyond a severely slimmed-down design. The plastic-backed 5C arrived a little later as an attempt at a budget version of the iPhone 5. It was an attempt to compete with the low-cost android phones that were now common on the market at that time. Once again, the 'S' version of the seventh generation focused on upgrading the already existing features.

The iPhone 6/6 Plus and 6S/6S Plus dramatically revamped the screen size and resolution and incorporated the new iOS 8. These built on the previous generation but also saw the introduction 3D touch technology, which monitors how strongly you are pressing on the screen. This opens some interesting avenues, particularly for mobile gaming. The latest versions to date are the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus which feature an all-new 12MP camera and is resistant against dust and splash water.

iPhone 7: Next Generation Smartphone

Which iPhone is Right for You?

Which iPhone you should buy will depend on what you are after and what kind of smartphone user you are. The most recent generations of the iPhone are similar in many ways but each version is designed to cater to a particular user group. For instance, the iPhone 5S or the iPhone SE is perfect for those who want something with the basic iPhone features and look, but at a smaller size and a lower price than the larger models.

The iPhone 6 is ideal for those who want something that looks like the real deal but cuts down on thickness and price by stripping away some features. The 6S boasts every top of the line feature the iPhone can deliver, but with a 4.7-inch display rather than a 5.5-inch, those who want a phone for viewing videos and serious browsing may want to look at the iPhone 6 Plus instead. The latter is iPhone's first step into the so called “phablet“ market.

The iPhone 7 brings in excellent performance and longest battery life ever in an iPhone. It is furthermore resistant against splash water and dust, features stereo speakers, the powerful A10 Fusion processor with 3GBs of RAM and and the best camera ever build in an iPhone with 12MP.

Choosing an iPhone Storage Capacity

Choosing the right storage option will, naturally, depend on how you use your iPhone. If all you want to do is text, call and stream, 16GB versions may be more than enough. However, weightier usage such as storing video, photos and hosting a large amount of apps may mean a large capacity storage is the best way to go. There are a host of device that fall in the middle of the range as well. You'll need to decide where on the spectrum you tend to fall.

Which iPhone Do I Have?

Deciding which model to upgrade to means knowing which model you currently have. If you have had it for multiple years, you may have forgotten which one you have. Identifying your iPhone model is pretty straightforward. If you look on the back of your iPhone, you'll set text in the format of "Model AXXXX". Match the model number to the number located on a checker page.

Improve the Experience: iPhone Accessories

iPhone owners can benefit from a massive range of accessories. Which ones you go for will depend on how you use your phone, but you can seriously enhance your device by taking advantage of what's out there. Here are some phone accessories that are well worth checking out:

  • Speakers – The iPhone can pair up with some fantastic wireless speakers, allowing you to get the party started wherever you happen to be, or to create some serious audio while streaming movies or playing games.
  • Waterproof cases – If you prize your iPhone, a waterproof case is really a no-brainer, protecting it against puddles and unscheduled trips to the wash basin.
  • Keyboards – The iPhone is an intuitively designed, ergonomic device, but one drawback for some people is entering text. If you want to use your phone professionally or to take lecture notes, a keyboard is a must. You can find models from brands like Logitech that roll up neatly and essentially turn your phone into a laptop.
  • Camera attachments – While the iPhone's camera is fantastic, you can enhance its features with accessories like the OlloClip, which attaches to the camera and provides wide-angle or fish-eye capabilities.
  • Gaming controllers – iPhone gaming can be taken to another level by purchasing accessories like the GameVice which attaches to both sides of your phone, adding a joypad and thumbstick – more or less mimicking a PlayStation controller.
  • Charging docks – Nobody wants to run out of juice at a crucial moment, so make sure you have the charging docks, cables and battery packs you require to ensure that you aren't left chargeless when you really need it.
  • Tripods – If you really love to use your iPhone to take snaps, a tripod will be absolutely essential. With accessories like the Joby GorillaPod, you can stabilise your iPhone in any conditions and take professional shots or video.
  • Stands – Film and TV fans will need a way to stream their favourite shows without having to hold their phones or prop them up awkwardly. Instead, you can purchase specialist stands that do the job for you, creating whatever angle makes most sense.
  • VR headsets – iPhone users may not have a dedicated VR set from Apple, but there are plenty of third party alternatives from brands like Pimax, Stealth and Maxtek.
  • Running bands/fitness tracker – If you are a fitness freak who can't stand the idea of leaving your iPhone at home while you run, this handy band will keep your phone in place and let you take calls or listen to music.

iPhone vs. Android Devices: The Big Question

Are iPhones better than Android phones and, if so, is the difference big enough to justify the extra cost? We're going to look at a few key categories to help breakdown difference between the two.

  • The apps - At this stage, there really aren't many types of apps on iPhone that can't be found in a similar form on an Android device. In addition, as Google offers more freedom and less restriction when it comes to app development for its platform, there is more to be had when it comes to Android. Yet it can be argued that this creates its own issue for Android. A great deal of Android apps are niche and appeal to only the most hard-core residents of Geek-land. In contrast, iPhone apps are designed to be easily understood by everyone and straightforward to use. Plus, developers of top apps still tend to publish their apps on iOS first.
  • The performance - Viewed through a purely functional lens, there is not much difference between the performance and speed of the top Android devices like the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge, the Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+ in comparison to the iPhone 7/7Plus. That said, you are still likely to experience regular jerks and hiccups in Android device performance. It may not sound like much, but when you are using an iPhone, you do notice the silky smooth fluidity. But this is, as often in life, a matter of personal taste.
  • Updates to the operating system - A regular complaint for Android, but one that still makes a big difference when it comes to choosing. When a new update to iOS comes out, you will very likely have access to it on your iPhone immediately. However, with Android, it may be years before you'll see your device updated. If you are not salivating over the thought of minor and major tweaks to your current OS, this may not be too big a factor. However, if something big does come along, you may be left out of the conversation about it in the office canteen.
  • The most common deal-breaker: iOS - iPhone users commonly quote the operating system of the handset as the main reason why they don't switch to Android. While there are few stand out features available on iOS that don't have something comparable on Android, the difference here is in usability and smooth interface, which has always been a hallmark of Apple design. Again, if you are just looking for something that works, Android will get you there. The difference is one that seems to underwrite most of the differences mentioned above; that is that the iPhone usually manages to get you there more easily, with less confusion and minimal frustration. However, it is not all smooth sailing. Examples of drawbacks for iOS include an overdependence on the use of iTunes for music purposes and the absence of a default on-board file manager.
Fast charging - Currently, iPhones doesn´t offer a quick charge function which a lot of Android devices feature. This means you can charge your phone for the day in a really short amount of time.

Pros and Cons of iPhones

The iPhone in general is an excellent work of modern technique. But there are also some cons that you should be aware of before considering any version of the device. Here are a few of the most important:

The Pros:

  • Great usability - Apple´s operating system is very intuitive and you don´t need to be a tech crack to set it up or adapt it to your needs. Another great plus is that Apple´s products network very well in general. So, if you already own an iPad, a MacBook or something else from the firm in Cupertino, it´s only logical to buy an iPhone to complete your range.
  • Security - One of the major selling points for Mac has always been the lack of viruses designed to attack their systems. To date there are no documented cases of viruses for iOS. As time wears on this may change. However, it is certainly the case that iPhones, like other devices, can be hacked remotely. One way to lower your risk is the familiarize yourself with the kinds of hacking software that is circulating at the moment.
  • Siri, the voice of Apple - Many people were blown away by Siri, the voice-controlled assistant that was unveiled in 2011. While not every version contains the software, if you are looking at older generations as a possible purchase, bear in mind that the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S all contain Siri.
  • Aesthetics - Another one of Apple's priorities is how their phones look. Every edition of the iPhone blows the competitors out of the water with its little design touches, ensuring that it will look the part wherever you use it.
  • Constantly updated, high-quality software - iOS and the apps designed to run on it tend to be of a very high quality, and Apple makes a point of updating their software more regularly than Google does with their Android system. Once you master iOS, you'll always know where you are with it as well. That's not always the case with Android versions, which can vary dramatically between mobile phone brands.

The Cons:

  • Often locked iPhones - Due to their significant cost, carriers that offer iPhones as part of a contract usually lock them to their network alone. You can usually get them unlocked by contacting your carrier but you will likely have to fulfil a particular criteria before they will do so. iPhones you have bought directly from Apple will usually be unlocked however it is always worthwhile checking this with the vendor in question before hand.
  • Problems with batteries - There have been several high profile issues with batteries throughout the years when it comes to iPhones. You can bring it to a store to get it replaced, but in most cases it will have to be sent to the repair centre. If you are still under warranty, or the AppleCare extended warranty, it is free, but if you are outside the warranty it will cost you. If you are using an older iteration of the iPhone it may be more worthwhile putting your hard-earned cash towards a newer model.
  • iPhones don´t take SD cards - Many have criticized the absence of an SD card slot on almost all of the iPhones. However, while you can't use a card directly, you can purchase an adapter that will allow you to use a micro SD card for memory expansion.
  • Flexibility - The downside of having a reliable OS that is regularly updated is the Apple take close control over what users can do with iOS. Android by contrast is much more flexible. You can customise your home screen however you like, adding the apps you use the most or tucking them all away in menus.
  • Audio jacks - The most recent models of iPhone have done away with the 3.5mm headphone jack in favour of Apple's own wireless headphones and speakers. That's fine for some people, but it limits your audio options, so you if you are a hardened audiophile you may want to explore other brands.

How to Find Cheap iPhone Deals

You can purchase iPhones from Apple directly at www.apple.com and their new iPhone upgrade program allows you to pay over 24 months, similar to carriers purchasing programs. Other major online retailers such as Mobiles.co.uk, Mobilephonesdirect.co.uk, EE or Amazon often offer cheap iPhones for sale as well. Mobile phone service carriers are still probably the cheapest way to get your hands on an iPhone, though it will come with contract stipulations.

Upgrading effectively can often be a question of timing. If you got your phone from a carrier, they will likely have a set time you need to wait before being entitled to an upgrade, so check with them to find out what this timeline is. There are also times of the year like the Black Friday, Christmas or the January Sales when electronic products are cheaper. Also, it is good to keep abreast of upcoming versions, as you might find your iPhone is obsolete by the time you get round to selling it. For instance, the rumour mill has already begun on the iPhone 8 release later this year, so if you are packing an iPhone 5 or 6, now may be a good time to start thinking about offloading it.
