Have these been kept below room temperature ?
Above room-temperature it all congeals into one big dark-chocolate cricket ball. So, I’m afraid your consumer rights no longer apply. I mean, you could try Watchdog, but I think they’ve got bigger fish to fry

They're not Terry's. They're Krafts.

£1 in so many places and so often that I would never consider this a deal myself
Have to agree with this, it's priced at £1 much more often than the ridiculous price of £2.49 in Asda.
But they are £1 in Asda!
That's what I'm saying :p They're virtually always £1 in Asda, only occasionally £2.49 (probably for legal reasons so they can keep saying the £1 price is a promotion). This "deal" is just the normal price of these.

There is some superficial damage to the box.

others reduced to 3.99 to clear also
(Scottish store)
1. It's £4 off 4 bottles, not £5.

2. This has already been posted a couple of times.

3. The deal ends 25th September and specifically states wine cellar selection.

4. Cold

I was in a Lidl and somebody in front of me had put in 4 random wines - he was NOT allowed the discount
I suggest best scenario is: you be young, pretty, wearing a short skirt, pouting sexily and probably the cashier is your boyfriend

At my local Lidl in Camberley, they refused a guy trying to buy four bottles from the general range. He got really upset about it and from the thunderous look on his face, I suspect that that's the last time he'll ever shop at Lidl! IMO, just for clarity, the offer should apply to ALL wines, not just the ones from one specific section.
If you are lucky you might get a free £90 parking ticket too, because their receipt validation system "didn't recognise you".
BTW
keiran5517
It's £4 off not 5

That's right and all the promo carriers have long gone from the stores near us. Good deal if you can find a store with the carriers left, but I wouldn't bust a gut to get to a store as there's a good chance you'll have a wasted trip.

correct plus the wines in the boxes seem to all be the expensive ones now when before they put some cheaper bottles in there. my mother complained at the till and got the discount but I didn't even bother trying. worth noting the new Leicester store had the Austrian Shiraz fake yellow tail stuff on offer for £2.99

Use one on motorbike, very good and has led screen to show you voltage and condition of the battery, great buy.
1.2 – 120Ah capacity so it's 12000mAh capacity? 3.8 charging rate so it's about 400A? I don't think it's worth the money. I have one battery booster with 150Ah 500A battery, which only cost me 30ish quid. I would call this a good buy.

Really big butternut squash at less than £1 in my local tesco, 90p each if I remember rightly. The 'large' at £1.50 each seemed a poor comparison seeing as they were almost the same size.

As for the insulated shafts business , I never quite understood what this is all about . I never undertake any electrical work without switching the power off in the first place.

It's not unknown to work live, (in which case insulated shafts are really rather handy) but I wouldn't expect the average live worker to be buying their tools from Lidl. But working live doesn't only apply to mains voltage, if you were working on a car without the battery disconnected you're potentially still working live. The insulated shaft can protect against short circuits so will provide protection for what you're working on, not just you.

Lectric ent got the bottle to lectricute me. Even if it tried to, I'd just leather it as I'm so hard. Ent no one got no time for no punk ass lectric kid

it's rubbish don't bother. I have it. it's impossible to monuver. Waste of money

I would tend to agree with how it manoeuvres but I wouldn't say its a waste of money - it all depends on your use case and what else is better at the £50 or under bracket.

Got this for the same price last year from Argos basically to take on holiday and to keep as a lightweight stroller spare. Having small wheels compared to our Maxi-cosi it can't cope with bumpy streets and you need 2 hands on it but considering it cost 10-times less I'd expect the Hauck to be worse!

You do get what you pay for, but it seems fairly comfortable compared to some of the alternatives we saw at the time. It also has a rudimentary recline so your kid can sleep.

The latch snapped off after a couple of weeks but otherwise it is fine. I wouldn't recommend this for a child under the age of 12months but once they start walking it is easier to carry this around buggy unfriendly places (like the tube) than a travel system.

Someone posted a Chico one yesterday I think. Much better. I have had both and Chico wins. I got the hauck one for £15 and it was good at that price. It was to take on a plane so did not want to risk our expensive pram

Good fruit and veg offers.
Grapes will be popular, hope they can keep stocked up.
It should trigger lower prices in the Big 4, especially at the end of 'display date'.
10p grapes last night in Asda, in fact 10p nearly everything. ;-)

Ahhh! Lidi, could explain why I picked up 3 packs of grapes in Tesco local for £1.50 the lot.
grapes 59p! comparatively £1 in iceland (7 day deal) and lettuce (36p - 50p) 29p! bargain
Thank you op, appreciated, heat :)

I've been using the complex 7 variety for the last 18 months and have not had any problems at the dentist, in fact I have not required a dental clean during this time either.

One comment at the beginning mentioned no SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) this is one of the reasons many feel the toothpaste is not doing its job as SLS is a foaming agent (which they also use in shampoos), so less foaming in the mouth.

The trouble with SLS in toothpaste is the possible side effects of mouth ulcers. I've experienced these nasties for many years, but once I switched to this Lidl toothpaste no more mouth ulcers. Its difficult to find SLS free toothpaste so at 39p this is a bargain!

PS...for other mouth ulcer suffers, a chemist recommended a 'cure' to me 40 odd years ago, now it might be a bit scary, but I have recently seen it being discussed on the internet which is the use of an old fashioned caustic pencil like this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bray-Health-and-Leisure-Caustic/dp/B004OX9P6Y/ref=pd_sim_121_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=M8XQ675T706ES5JKX7D2
A quick touch of the pencil on the ulcer cleared it up for me in a day. Anyone trying this is entirely at their own risk of cause.

Here in Leicester on the abbey lane, there is a new aldi opoening literally on the opposite side of the road to Asda, a conservative estimate about 30metres apart. And yes I've noticed recently as you walk into asda they have offers, as they define it, on fruit and vegetables, hum that sounds familiar!
benchaud

Lidl and aldi are nothing like when they first came here when they were cheap and nasty, now they are qualty and value, and judging by their expansion many people agree.
A good statement and correct. Some of the top of the range items are excellent quality. Lidl Deluxe range for example.
Both Lidl and Aldi are expanding in my area and Aldi had a massive impact on Morrisons last year locally. Lo and behold, Lidl are building a store soon even closer to that same Morrisons. One good thing about Morrisons, it's easier to get served! One bad thing about Morrisons, they often overcharge!
I love seeing the price cuts in all the big supermarkets. They promote the new lower prices as if they are doing their customers a favour! They've been ripping off their punters for years and the price drops are all down to Lidl and Aldi. Make no mistake, the big supermarkets do NOT want to drop their prices! But, they have to, the little supermarkets call the shots. Times may change, but not too soon.
I prefer lidl dentalux complex 7 to the Colgate total version, and at about 20% of the price to, the big brands are still making an absolute killing when they are on offer at £1 or so a tube and people run like lemmings thinking they have a great deal, if lidl are making money at 59p per 125ml tube, then the major brands are ripping people of all day every day.

Still someone has to pay for the marketing/ brainwashing costs, and no longer will it be me.

Also Lidl and Aldi brands are not comparable with the very cheap supermarket own labels, they are competing with supermarket high level own brands, and also the well known brands, I have compared quite a lot of stuff and generally the lidl aldi stuff is better than the branded goods and also cheaper.

Lidl and aldi are nothing like when they first came here when they were cheap and nasty, now they are qualty and value, and judging by their expansion many people agree.

You are correct, prices have been creeping up and the weight of a lot of items has been coming down. Some biscuits now have a lower weight but cost the same, tuna has reduced from about 160g to about 130g but same price and we noticed last week that the blue things you put in the toilet cistern to colour the water have reduced from a 4 pack to a 3 pack but will they still be 99p?

Still continue shopping there though.......

Keep your receipt!
I have used a Phillips one for 7 years with no probs at all and decided to buy a new one for hygiene purposes and bought a Remington which broken in 4months and they replaced it with another one which broke too. I bought this one from lidl and I must say it does a very good job and feels solid build plus 3 years warranty is a bargain for that price

Sure it's shiny but are the internals any good. Will you need to change the seats in a year. Will the chrome stay on. Just because it's Lidl it doesn't mean it's good. Not the most renowned plumbing merchant
There's a lot of BS talked about taps imo. Case in point; the tap in my bathroom is from iBathUK on Amazon (the Martin bath mixer) and obviously made in China. Cost 45 quid and it's a very substantial weight for the money paid. In the 2 years it's been in it's performed faultlessly, not a hint of a drip and the quality of the chrome is very very good (we live in a hard water area).
The tap in my kitchen (I forget the make) should have been 100 quid plus (and is back up to that now) if not for Black Friday and it's a complete POS. Only been in a year, leaks constantly, nothing quite returns to the correct place when used and the chrome on it tarnishes very easily. Give me a Cheap Chinese tap every day of the week (they are probably all made in China anyway but at least don't get ripped off with the asking price).
Talking of getting ripped off, against my advice my son bought some bathroom taps from a large, national High Street bathroom chain for a total of 225 quid as a 'special offer'. recognising them I got to work on Amazon and sourced exactly the same taps (as his bathroom outfitters taps had been delivered with a 14 day refund policy I ordered the Amazon ones so we could see them side by side and compare) for 76 quid. Needless to say he returned the original taps (well, they sent a courier which was a nice touch and he got a cheque for 225 quid soon after)

Seeing this listing reminded me to go to Amazon regarding the tap I ordered back in September. It was made by ibath UK as well, this one which has good reviews. In the last few weeks the tap has made high-pitches noises as it leaks. The plumber had it last week and said the inside of the tap is wore out. The more expensive one did about 8 years before it started to leak around the seals.

The XXL Black Forest Ham Slices 250g £1.99 wasn't to my taste (very strong flavour of cloves) so I phone Lidl's 0800 number and they are sending me a £5.00 voucher, I thought that was very good of them.
