Really good options available, even if I choose to book from Edinburgh to JFK it just automatically includes the little red flight.

First week in june for 389....... So tempted now.

Any amazing deals on hotels?!
I highly recommend to check Airbnb.com for a private apartment in a central location. Much cheaper!

I'm on it, thanks!

Second thoughts, don't really want to rent a room from someone! Will look elsewhere thanks!

Airbnb is like a community you dont book apartments from strangers.
I don't know any of them, so they are strangers!! :D

In all seriousness, would much prefer a hotel thanks.

Great shout on the flights.

lol. on first name terms with all the hotel owners are we?

Well with the £1146 saving you could always get a taxi back for a couple of quid!

£2 taxi fare! are you assuming the drivers are offering a 78% discount?

Turkey is no where near as cheap as it was a decade ago.

My last holiday to Turkey cost me 90% of my spending money because the person who booked it was told it was in Hisarönü centre, when in fact it was in Ovacik at the top of a small mountain. One of the party had a recent hip hop op, so i think axgod2 makes a valid point. As for the original price, i think they are having a Turkish bath.

Having been to Turkey myself last year and finding the taxi prices similar to the Uk, infact fractionally cheaper, a taxi for less than a mile is certainly in the vicinity of £2.

You point is useless, you were lied to about the accommodation by your travel agent which was your problem.

Looks like it's gone up from £249 when it originally appeared on Travelzoo this morning. Still, not a bad price. Not a bad price at all!

The £309 price was for an outside cabin though - this could explain the difference.
splender
A great opportunity for schools to open franchises on cruise ships? If you can have boat people , why not for boat teachers, boat pupils, boat canteen ladies. Any takers?

No idea abot the labelling, but I'm guessing the Mail is just shoddy reporting? The Oliver Cromwell gin has been 50 cl for as long as I've been buying it. Wrong picture, wrong bottle size in the description. Can't blame Aldi for that.
I went into Aldi in Moreton, Wirral yesterday to get my husband a bottle of this Gin and was told the one 70cl advertised in Saturdays Mail as being 9/10 by Jilly Goolden, is now only 50cl. and only 20p difference in price. Surely this is a rip-off. On the label 70cl was crossed out and 50cl added. Is this against trade descriptions or what?
tefg
Nice gin, but the Cromwell one is only 50 cl. That pic is the other, cheaper, Aldi gin. Similar price but 70 cl and not dissimilar to Gordons. The Cromwell one is much heavier on the juniper so may not suit everyone.

That's what I figured. Just like the Lidl vodka that's meant to be very good in taste tests, it's £9.95 (ish) for 50cl. So in the end, you're probably better off with a litre of Russian Standard on offer, if you can't tell the difference

This place is around the corner from where I live. It's a fantastic location with bermondsey street, the southbank and borough mkt to name a few local places to go to without leaving se1. But if you want to, it only takes 15 mins to get into town or to the east end. Bargain and even on a Sunday there will be loads going on.

There is a kids club but it's not as good as Royal Caribbean. However, for that price you can't go wrong and they're the only cruise operator where kids are free.

At 64 BHP, that is literally taking your life in your own hands! Worst of all is pulling onto those roundabouts after coming off motorways.

If you can't drive safely in a 1.0 supermini maybe you need to take your driving tests again.

What a effing joke of a comment. There is NO USEFUL POWER AT 64BHP. The engine will need to be THRASHED, meaning high fuel consumption and a complete hatred for the engine note after 5 minutes. Anyone getting anything lower than 1.4 must be very very hard up

You are an effing eejit. This car is not what I would buy but my daughter has one and it is fine. Plenty enough poke to drive safely around town. Motorway journeys are also okay. Good fuel economy figures, cheap road tax, cheap insurance, cheap servicing, lifetime warranty. WTF more could a young lassie, with very little cash, want. Go away ya bampot.

Go easy on him for he is young and knows not of what he speaks ;)

N/s what point you're trying to make. Younger, still have a life ahead of me, already have 5 years car experience. Have you restored a car?

It's a good price but it's misleading how Lufthansa's (79% approval on tripadvisor) name gets associated with it when the flight is actually with United (46% approval on tripadvisor).
Fingers crossed I see one of these come up for Orlando in May. Great deal though.

I would even hesitate to take it if they were giving it away for free.
same here. some folk will buy anything if its reduced.
I would even hesitate to take it if they were giving it away for free.
This is a BBC production covering the Olympics. The Paralympics was covered by Channel 4 and they brought out their own Paralympics box set. I think the Olympics set allows you to play the ceremonies with and without commentary.
Will buy when the Blu Ray drops to like a Fiver. Does it contain both opening and closing ceremonies IN FULL for both Olympics and Paralympics? because the description isn't really clear.
This is so 2012...

Had one of these for 3 years, good solid buggy, handles fold together so useful if you've got less space and good for travelling.
Interesting to see this and the mamas and papas red swirl listed on the same day

Had both ... this one was was OK but I felt the mamas and papas was better quality...probably worth the extra 15.

That said if you are stretched for cash or need a second buggy this was OK. I had to replace because rear wheels wore down.
I bought this when it was this price last time. I really like it. easy to steer and well worth the money imo.

any deals from Glasgow to New York
http://www.airbnb.co.uk - great resource ;)
Great price. Crap airline. I flew to NYC with friends and had seats at the back of the plane. Was told not to talk by cabin crew as one of their colleagues was on the row of seats behind ours (concealed by a curtain) catching up on her sleep!
Cracking price, just came back .. be prepared for circling before landing in a holding pattern, super long taxi to terminal, long queue to immigration as they have queues from two directions into the hall that are supposed to filter together, took me two hours in a queue before reaching front. USA today carried a headline while I was there cuts in immigration staff was leading to people spending up to an hour on planes before joining queues. Was it worth it heck yes.... visit Empire State at night miss the queues, pay for the Statue Harbour cruise, Staten Island ferry doesn't get close enough to the Statue of Liberty, metro is the way to travel...8)
Some Airlines have their European hub outside the UK hence flights could be indirect, eg fly to Amsterdam then transatlantic, for example.

There are other Credit Unions which also offer competitive rates, although not as high as North London:

Good rate. Shame I don't live in London. Did you see anything else interesting and nationwide? I've just been put on 1.5%. It would save me looking for a deal myself. Cheers.

Why do people still put money in cash ISA's. My M&G portfolio of stocks and shares isas returned over 11% in the last financial year 8)

Average over last 3-5 years ? Most people prefer to spread their portfolio across higher risk investments such as stocks and shares and low risk cash with a range of investments inbetween. The last few years has caused a lot of heartache to those who thought stocks and shares would continue to grow rapidly indefinitely.

Lufthansa give out (umlimited) free drinks, including alcohol, too.
certainly on the flights to Germany anyway

Nice.

United operate the flights, not Lufthansa but yeah on transatlantic flights they do - on US domestic flights they don't.

Bizarrely in the US, the "full service" carriers act like low-cost airlines (no free food/drink and no free baggage) and SouthWest (which is meant to be a low-cost airline) acts like the full service carriers with free baggage and free drinks/snacks.

I haven't been on an American carrier that I can remember that served free alcoholic drinks, even transatlantically. We flew United in August and I am fairly sure there wasn't booze included. If there is, you can be sure though that it will only be "soft bar", i.e. beer and wine.

My mistake - apparently its only on Trans-Pacific not Trans-Atlantic flights (though it seems a bit hit and miss whether they actually charge you for drinks or not, regardless of it being policy to do so).

This is when I reply back to you , should learn to read before you write

Though you no doubt feel smug, I didn't misread anything so that makes no sense... Not that I criticised your post because you made a mistake - it was because of your snotty language.

I was on a United flight from Belfast to LA, via Newark.
On the transatlantic leg, wine, water, juices, fizzy drinks were all free. Beers and spirits were charged via credit card.
On the EWR to LAX flight, only water, juices, fizzy drinks were free. Wine and beer were charged

Good to know! Ours was EDI-LHR-EWR.
