Money I guess! Is it really that bad? The PS3 does a woeful job of handling media duties, and nobody apart from blokes want an Xbox. The media player market is littered with poorly thought out devices like the AppleTV, Boxee Box and random Android devices running XBMC. For the average person who just wants to watch Netflix and iPlayer isn't this at least a semi decent option @ £75-90

Oh dear. I have all three consoles in my house. I would say the Wii is the last one I'd use for video. Even my mam who just has a Wii wouldn't use it for video, iPlayer was terrible on it.

The PS3 gets used for video all the time: DVDs, Blu-rays, AVIs, LoveFilm etc. Rarely used for games lol. And the 360 is the console of choice for this girl when it comes to games!

the wii does not really play video very well, you can get used to it but if thats your reason for buying then I would opt for a clever blu ray. I have had a go on both ladies and the wii is only good for family games

If you just want media stuff you could get just a £60 Panasonic Blu Ray Player (Plays flac / mkv everything I have thrown at it perfectly - Netflix and iplayer / youtube built in - can play from a normal network share). Only real problem is it is not at the moment Windows 8 Certified (For use from Metro Apps like the Music App that has loads of stuff to stream free at least for now). The more expensive ones have full smart functionality (Other than paid apps). It is the easiest option. (Doesn't have codec limitations or much hassle like).

Or you could get a second hand Linksys £30 media centre extender. (Small amount of effort to get it working well for e.g mkv - easiest way is to just buy CoreAVC and CoreAAC (Think it is $15 in total and presumes you are using Windows 7.)). Or a cheap second hand 360 can be used as an extender too.

The combo of MythTV / XBMC is very powerful but it requires a fair amount of maintenance / skill to set it up right.
(It has the ability to automatically skip ad's same as Windows Media Centre).

The Netflix Windows Media Centre plugin is great it is a bit of a faff to get it to be installed but the same procedure will also allow you access to the full Netflix US catalog.

Thanks bought a ticket, this will be my daughter's first football match (5 years old). I'm a Barca supporter so I hope this doesn't convince her she needs to support Fulham.
Got 2 tickets (1x adult & 1x child) for £18.50. Top price you can't argue with. Usually prices like this are reserved for games that are on TV!

All joining fees are a massive rip-off. It is akin to you having an annoying guide riding shotgun when you have just acquired a driver's license. There is no added value to this scam if you have been a gym member on and off. With this massive joining fee a new joiner, who has been around the block, gets nothing. I wish there was an Ombudsman looking after gym members' interests, all you have is a consumers' forum which is as good at biting as a dead butterfly.

Have not voted for this deal either way......
Central London prices for you... It used to be £65 I believe, when they first opened.
Wow.. that's one big joining fee for that Fitness4less branch. My local F4L (Newport) has been either £25 or have done a few promos where there's been a zero joining fee. Good job they're doing no fee at the moment.
Also, I don't know if it's the same with every F4L but mine are putting their monthly fee up from £14.99 to £15.99 in the new year.

These have been £5 in the Corgi shop in Westfield for a long time now. Have to say they are very poor quality - and I say this as a massive fan of the Olympic stadium.

Save your money and buy the corgi mini olympic torch. Where this is disappointing that is really lovely.

Only because horribly overpriced in the first place. Sadly, you start to almost believe that £35 each is a good deal when they try to charge £63 full price.

If they really wanted normal people to 'Get into theatre' tickets would cost no more than £20
