Love this "From the world’s leading designer of high performance headphone" Its a shame the the world’s leading designer of high performance headphones couldn't have designed a decent usable pair of headphone as the ones i had snapped in half within a month, they broke at the Headband extend point they weren't dropped or mistreated i just went to put them on as you do and one became 2. I would never buy another pair of monster headphones as long as i live they are over priced poorly made junk.
Cold even at £49 they are still £40 to much.

Can't agree with this at all. Owned a pair for well over a year now and had no problems what so ever. Great build quality and excellent sound.

You either had a dodgy set and if that was the case could have returned them as mentioned above or broke yours.

Either way I can't recommend these highly enough for this price.
urghh
Loving mine, clear and bassy. Had them about 2 years. Monster headphones are awesome in my opinion.

2-ply toilet roll is a false economy as you use more (Nicky Elite 3-ply devotee here!) but the currently available 9 pack promo packs instore, versus the regular 6 pack, make Silk Soft a decent buy.

I have a pair of monster DNA Pro's. They used to make Beats by Dre. Yes monsters are bass heavy, but far better around cans than beats. Plus you look like a tool with a pair of Beats!
i am scientist.. and its a bit too scientificy. doesn't fold for travelling.
Great headphones. Monster used to make the Beats headphones when they were decent. have had my set about 2 years and still working fine.

Ok headphones for the money.

A bit heavy on the bass (and I am a bass guitarist) and they don't fold for traveling.

Adidas isn't "chavtastic" I'm an adidas collector for 70s, 80s and recent high profile pairs of adidas. It's the "chavs" that ruin a brand. Adidas has more history and heritage then any sports brand out there. These sound 100% better then doctor dre beats and hold sound in just like my bose pair. Great buy.
Chavtastic.

I have a pair of these and have probably the best headphone sound. I have personally compared them with all others, bose, beats, sony etc etc but these sound much better. Price is excellent. I bought from tesco year ago for 50 after doubling vouchers and discounts on sale, actual price being within 140 to 170
Beats are Monster headphones!! Same muddy bass and underwhelming actual sound quality. Cold from me unfortunately simple because there are better options even at this price.

No, having tried both the Monster DNA are far superior - probably still not worth the money but they actually sound as good as they look, unlike Beats which are style over substance. The soundstage on the Monster DNA is surprisingly very good across the entire range.
Looks like they've all gone as link now goes to the in-ear ones.

As AJ92 said, Beats were made by Monster, but these DNA ones were quite a bit better sound quality than the Beats.

All immaterial now and thanks to the haters for the ice cold hating lol. There's some Sennheiser Momentum On-Ears on the PCW Clearance too

Beats were made by monster but they separated. So monster released there own headphones to compete with beats and as you know beats is now owned by apple so sound is different so you decide which is best.

It's in the Norwich store - so I guess it will be in all of them. The outer box contains two separate plastic bags of product (ie two bags that would normally be in 450g boxes). I'm sure that the foodies will say porridge, etc, is healthier - but, as my lot would tip half a bowl of sugar over anything remotely healthy in the way of breakfast cereal, this is an improvement.

Hot as it's a very good price for a strip like this, but be aware that Monster cables do tend to be over-specced and over-hyped - as do many other high-end cables:
http://www.engadget.com/2008/03/03/audiophiles-cant-tell-the-difference-between-monster-cable-and/
http://www.engadget.com/2007/11/28/report-reminds-us-dont-get-burned-by-overpriced-cables/

Power strips are a bit different because good power conditioning is well worth having, but even then it's easy to end up paying over the top for stuff you don't need. This does seem like a good deal though.

By the way, if you use homeplugs don't put them on one of these. It will significantly slow down the networking.

Edited By: Spod on Nov 03, 2014 16:00
no they wont clean up a signal they are ok at this price but doubt anyone would use it for anything else than a surge protection extension and mine was temperamental at best and i paid £80 years ago
Stu C
Just bought 2 from Amazon, and postage was £2.Ebay item 271632093462 offers £1.25 postage via Yodel (company appears to have 2 listings), but I decided to go via Amazon to better ensure that the warranty is in place having bought from a primary retail site rather than an auction site (and the item is listed as New Other on ebay). This appears to be the bottom of the line model, but the price is so low that it is tough to justify paying significantly more for what is probably a <50% improvement. Thanks, OP.

Yep - postage for 1 on Amazon is £3 - Postage for 2 is £2 and if you buy 3 then postage is free.

Even just as half decent blocks its a decent price - with the surge protection its a good price.

I've gone for 3 - I'm sure they will get used somewhere!

As for the colours...... who has their cables on display ??

Will they "clean up" my signal................... I'm not convinced (_;)
Spence1115
Why do all these things have such short cables? I need to run one for my TV etc from a power socket about 5m away, but there doesn't seem to be anything more than 4 plugs for that length.

And no, I can't fit a new plug socket as I'm renting, and I can't move the TV as the sockets are in daft places anyway.

Couldn't you use a 1 gang extention (easily obtainable up to 30M) and then plug say a 5 gang extention into it? I have that in my bedroom, all the plug sockets are on one side of the room and it's quite a large room, I just ran a 5m around the room, then have a 5 hang half meter plugged into that...

Good for you, however I had exactly the same ones from the cpc deal posted a few days ago, and they surge light is out in under 2 years. So please don't try and pass your personal opinions as facts.
Well given that I'm talking about my own personal experience, I can state it as fact. Now you might not want to take my word for it, but that's a philosophical quandary only you can decide. Mine are working, were cheap when I bought them, and I don't overload them with too many devices, so they are still working. I don't know which ones you bought, cheap or expensive, I'm just saying that expensive ones, especially ones that cost this much, are completely unnecessary. This deal is disgustingly overpriced, and specifically designed to exploit the ignorance of people who know no better. Now I find this offensive, especially the way they are trying to take advantage of others, but I'm clear who is the culprit. If you want to take offence, that is up to you, but is not my intention. This is exactly the kind of exploitative deal that this site can highlight, and steer people away from. If you refuse to heed any of the clear advice, and the cold rating which should be evidence enough, then that's a shame.

Perhaps it's the way I worded it, but you misunderstood my point. I don't doubt for a moment that yours are fine, however I have tried ones from maplins, argos, and the same type as the cpc deal albeit without the usb ports. and the surge protection light has all but gone out after few years They haven't been overloaded, and the profigold and monster branded ones used in the same environment are still working fine.

If something cost more, but lasts far longer that's not exploitative, that's paying for quality. If your cheaper ones have lasted that's great, I wouldn't be shelling out for these either. but I've been through enough cheapo ones to stop bothering with them.

Does anybody know how long the HDMI cable is? I can't find it anywhere! Personally I don't think it is worth anything like the original price, but not too bad now if the surge protector is up to the job. I'm not into expensive HDMI cables.

I can confirm the HDMI leads are 1m long.
I've got two of these packs, as I needed two surge protectors for my Hifi/surround sound. Funny how the cheapo surge protectors on hukd go hot, yet you need to replace them every 2 years, and something like these last for years and years yet will go stone cold.
Both cheapo surge protectors that I've bought, are still working perfectly well after years of use. This kit is insulting priced, and that is why it is so cold. Do yourself a favour and listen to the complaints of fellow HUKDealers, and avoid any of these items at high prices, whether in this bundle, or sold individually. This is a cheap bundle chucked together to rob suckers blind.

Good for you, however I had exactly the same ones from the cpc deal posted a few days ago, and they surge light is out in under 2 years. So please don't try and pass your personal opinions as facts.
tanked
not sure what to make of this.

The power adapter alone seems to be £69 in Currys where they really sell it well (unlike the John Lewis website)
What, you mean this power adapter (wrong term, and spelt wrong too), which you can get for £14.77 inc. P+P via eBay? That bring the grand total value of this package to approx. 40% of what they are charging.

All upgraded and it's flying!

If anyone's interested I've put in the Corsair CS750M and MSI GTX770 2GB Frozr. Had to disable secure boot as mentioned in some posts on the dell forum

Cool, how much did the PSU & 770GTX set you back?

£64 PSU (Flubit)
£219 GPU (Dabs)

Was the 770GTX easy to fit? there did not look like too much room for a full size card?

Yes it was fairly easy,

I thought this was a good deal. Seems the op's attitude has led to cold votes. Hot for the deal though.

Attiutude? I'm only responding to what's been said, if people are going to take the ****, I'm going to turn around and give them it back. I posted this in a perfectly happy state, until the trolls came along :)

Neither would they call themself a hacker.

Since I'm not "self respecting" enough for you, i've made the change in the OP.

Happy now? Or is everyone just going to complain about that job title too.

Oh well.
