The title is a bit misleading as it's a meal for two, then BOGOF, which makes it better than ASDA, tried one last week, and it was very good, 4 bhaji's as opposed to 2 with ASDA.

Updated the Title to reflect the fact.
Yesterday there were many in the Hounslow Morrisons.
I think this is still available. Will have a look tonight on my way back home.

For those who spend on Evian water: try spelling Evian backwards.
thank you for the post. voted hot. best price out there right now
The biggest difference in taste between tap and bottled water comes from the fact that the bottled water is chilled and not under pressure. If you put a jug of water in the fridge it tastes just as good as bottled (in my opinion) because the water is then chilled and the cholorine has chance to dissipate. Having said that, the water in Manchester is probably the best I've tasted 'direct from the tap' of any of the places I've lived.
PoisonJam;8742366

Apparently you don't drink any kind of bottled liquid? If you do, you're hypocrite. If you don't, then fair play to you, honestly. But most people do drink bottled juice so don't try and single out water drinkers. ;-)

Also, taste is a personal thing. If you haven't learned that yet then you're a fool. I don't expect everyone to prefer the taste/look of anything vs anything else. But you prove my point that there is a difference. Whether you prefer it or not is a personal thing. The first time I tried Evian I didn't like the slightly chalky taste as much as Volvic. But I got tired of Volvic after a while (and Highland Sping) but it has never happened with Evian. Also, Evian also tastes pretty palatable (to me) warm so I can keep a bottle in the car. Tap water tastes completely different warm.

I think you're forgetting the placebo effect. If you havent heard of that yet then you're ignorant. If you had even bothered to watch the video properly you would have seen the bit where she says people cant tell the difference under blind conditions. It's going to vary depending on the area the tap water is from but good tap water like you find in most of Scotland tastes very good. Most people are conned by the packaging of bottled water.

Oh and sometimes I do buy drinks in plastic bottles but I try not to. And if I have to buy bottled water - if I'm out somewhere for example, I buy the cheapest, not Evian (unless it's the cheapest, which is unusual). It's ridiculous imo to buy water from France when we have loads of the stuff in this country!
PoisonJam;8742320
Interesting video. The problem though...

2000 times more expensive than tap. Yep, that's true. But this is relative. Bottled water is cheaper than fizzy drink which also serves the exact same purpose of quenching your thirst. Why doesn't the video point this out?

Same goes for the pollution. This is no worse than drinking fizzy juice. If you want to accuse both (and you drink neither) then fair enough. But they fit into the same category.

It doesnt need to point that out specifically as it's common knowledge that fizzy drinks are worse than water. They do mention people drink bottled water to be healthy.

Also, fizzy drinks with sugar also provide energy so they arent quite the same.

sol was included in this before xmas-anyone know if its on this time?

It's not showing online, but packs of 12 x 330ml bottles of Sol are included in the current Tesco 3 for £20 deal. I saw them in the deal at Exeter Vale this afternoon.

ClashInDevon
I remember when you could get real crates of ale when a crate was 24 can or bottles and 330ml bottles too rather than 12 x 275ml rubbish crates they sell these days.

Whatever happened to the 24 x 330ml crates of Becks i could pick up in bargain booze for under a tenner? :-(

But in terms of the wishy washy namby pamby crate sizes these days (to make the price seem artificially cheap, historically ) it's a good deal
Asda are doing 2 for £15 includes:

8 Bulmers pint bottles
15 Coors Light 275m
15 Becks 275ml
15 Budweiser 300ml
15 Stella 284ml
15 Miller 330ml
15 Carling 440ml
15 Fosters 440ml
15 Tennents 440ml

although can't see it online :?

cold from me, a case and a half for £18 not cheap in my eyes. glad i stocked up from tesco when a full case was £10 and asda when 20 cans was £9. whats next for morrisons, an 8 pack being a case?!

HesFamily4;8666999
Totally agree - but this OP doesn't like people being negative on her 'deals'!

so just because something was once cheaper in the past than it is now its cold??

even if its now still cheaper than other places..

lol.. this place never seems to amaze me... full of comedians.. :whistling:
W1zz;8667017
It ain't a fantastic deal, but it's the best that's available at the moment.

Tried both Tesco's and Asda yesterday before having to turn to Morrisons for the 3 for £18 deal.

well its better thatn just £9 for a box like theyve had on for a while or £12 at asda for 15x440 cans

I haven't got a Morrisons near me, so I haven't been able to cash in on this, but if you've got a local store it's got to be worth checking out. As martinelsen points out, £3.00 for 1kg of cheese is an amazing deal.

Mind you, I don't think the title of this thread offers any real motivation for people to click and read more. If it said Morrison's Mega Offer - 1kg of cheese for £3.00 I think it might get a bit more heat.

Dont mean to be a spoil sport but in response to inicholas's comment I thought I would mention that Sucralose (also know as splenda) is in NO WAY natural. It has undergone little to no trials before going to market, so most of the effects are unknown.

It is believed to be less harmful than most artificial sweeteners (like aspartame for example) but no one really has any detailed clinical info, especially in the long term.

Im not saying people should cower in fear over this. but I think its pretty lousy that the manufacturers can get away with calling it natural. Because it really really isnt.

Yeah, I find it bizarre that manufacturer's can label food as "no artificial flavours" and then put artificial sweeteners in it. There are only 5 flavours: sour, bitter, salt, umami (a meaty taste created by MSG - monosodium glutamate) and sweet. Everything else is smell or aroma. That means artificial sweeteners and synthetic glutamates (like "hydrolysed vegetable protein") are in fact the only artificial flavourings in existence!!

Oh and Citric acid and Ascorbic acid are the same thing, one's an old name and the others a more modern one. Much like 1 inch is the same as 2.54cm. Why did they list it twice? It's added to lots of drinks as an antioxidant/preservative, not for its health benefits (eat an orange!).

"ask for the scientist with the BSc." - they employ "scientists" without a BSc? What do they have - O grade botany?

I had a Bells Scotch Pie for lunch. Bought yesterday in Morrisons Troon. Guess what?
when eating pie a small stainless steel circular object jammed into a tooth filling and gave me quite a start. No damage done but worrysome as object may have come from machinery in pie manufacture!

Only packs of 2 at my local.

Still, they are a taste of home, washed down with Irn Bru.

With some mash and beans on top :-D, I miss Scotland so much :w00t:

I Really Need A Laptop!! Asap.

Thanks

They all have 1366 x 768 screens so that shouldn't influence your decision.

The Asda Emachines model is the updated version of the Morrisons one - with Windows 7, bigger hard drive and 2GB RAM - it was £297 until recently and would have been a better buy at that price if you were going to update to Windows 7 and 2GB anyway.

The Morrisons one has been on offer since last year:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/536382/acer-emachines-e625-laptop-but-supp
The combo of slow processor, Vista and 1GB isn't good, but copes with internet and wordprocessing if that's all that is required. It's better with 2GB. You can upgrade the processor to a Turion TL-60 (or any other Socket S1 processor) and it's not bad then! But then you may as well spend £300+ on a better machine in the first place...;-)

NICE ONE MATE, ILL TRY AND HANG ON CAUSE LASS IN MORRISONS DID SAY THEY BEEN AT THAT PRICE FOR AGES AND THEY HAVE LOADS IN STOCK, IF THE ASDA ONE WAS FOR £300 THEN I WOULD HAVE GOT BUT CHEAPEST ONE IS EBUYER WITH 4GB RAM AND 320GB HARD DRIVE BUT I DONT LIKE THE CHEAPNESS OF IT! LET ME KNOW GUYS IF YOU KNOW OF ANY MORE DEALS! THANKS.
Asda Have An Emacines One Aswell With 2gb Ram And 250gb Hard Drive
@325.00!!!!!!!!!!

Im Stuck On What To Get, Still I Like The One I Posted 1st As It Has Hd Screen And It Looks Mint, But With The 1gb Ram Will It Be Very Slow If I Run Windows 7?

Try Wilkinson, I am sure the mens one is about 69pish.... So hopefully the womens one is too.
i went today to my local morrisons specifically for this deal and the price was £1.34...they said they did not know about any discount ....sorry but as cold as today's weather
I like the same one (pink) but in the spray. Haven't tried roll on for years...not sure if I'd like it or not. Might be worth a try at 60p though! Sometimes you can get the sprays for £1, I think they have them in Tesco's just now at that price.
these are good but you dont get much in they dont last long, hot price tho
Yep these are good were this price in Sains few weeks ago and recycleable too

Dont forget wholemeal! Just bought although hadn't seen your post. I never think of posting grocery deals...

Not entirely true. The sticker packs contain 2 Wallchart stickers AND 3 stickers for the Panini World Cup Sticker Album:thumbsup:

Not voted either way.

But these stickers are only for the free wall chart not the panini sticker album.

No real use for these and at a £20 spend to get 2 stickers, why would anyone find this hot?

Most people on here go ape **** over anything free, and considering probably a quarter of everyone on here spends at least twenty quid in morrisons a week it's better than a kick in the teeth.
