I know what you mean and have to agree, i usually photocopy these a couple of times.

However if the same coupon got posted and duplicated 1000's of times they may just show an interest.

Like you say thou, you really have to weigh up wether it is worth it for 50p

I know someone who has been banned for using photocopies - Couponet can trace the IP address

You sure like beans!!! Assuming they have a "use by" date, here's hoping you don't get sick of them before you've downed all 100.

nov 2011 so only 1 can per week:thumbsup:.

Its the 250 tins of napolina tomatoes I might have an issue with (12.5p per can last year, now 96p per can! :w00t:).
greyhound11;8197573
maybe a variation between the tins...some say the silver label tins are better than the darker label tins?

I also heard this on another HUKD thread. Personally I didn't notice any difference and I did check the labelling and the portions/ingredients were the same.
greyhound11;8197573
maybe a variation between the tins...some say the silver label tins are better than the darker label tins?

I agree that the Silver label tins are superior (in my opinion) to the dark brown ones, thicker sauce and softer beans - can't stand runny, hard beans, too much like Heinz :-(
itsadeal;8196758
i think branston beans vary from time to time and i'm never sure if i'm going to fully enjoy them or not.

i've had some that were fairly small beans and hard, then sometimes they are very sweet tasting and then sometimes they're just right.

i voted hot because they're a good deal but i still prefer crosse & blacwell blue label ( who actually make branston)

The PSP phat is by far the easiest to put custom firmware on + if you power it fully off it retains its custom firmware .

The PSP 2000 is believe it or not the hardest apart from the PSP GO . This is because many different mother board part numbers were made for it so some can be hacked and not others (unless some bright spark has come up with a way of doing it that i dont know about ). You have to find out which one you have before attempting it because if it is not compatable it can turn your PSP 2000 into a paper weight.

The PSP 3000 only has 1 mother board ever produced so can have custom firmware put on it without checking the serial number but unlike the PSP phat will loss the custom firmware if fully powered off (ie) not put into standby and will need it re-installing again .

:thumbsup::thumbsup:.

I think i am correct but if anyone knows better then please share  as i dont own one

The PSPs sold on ebay from Orange have a motherboard that was completely hackable, confirmed by the other people in the earlier thread that bought one.

Playing Super Mario All Stars as we speak/type

298 degrees and no-one has been able to buy it apart from the OP...:?

As I mentioned above, this kind of situation occurs from time to time, unfortunately.

It is disappointing for all concerned when this happens. The thread creator feels like they need to apologise but it wasn't their fault, and other (valid) deals are missed because they have been kept off the first page (or so) of listings.

Also, if those that vote "hot" never subscribe to the deal listing thread they never realise the issue & continue voting on future deals of a similar nature.

Hopefully with enough discussion after the event those members that are subscribed can carry the experience forward to future deal listings & advise that restraint is exercised in voting until "proof" is gained or the deal is substantiated in some way.

BFN,

fp.

Even at this price it does not seem a real bargain, as I get only 2 and a half bowls out of one box lol.

(Maybe I eat more than you are supposed to???)

I'm the same although some people think my consumption is excessive. Thankfully my daughter's boyfriend has started work at Holland & Barratt so can get 25% staff discount on their rabbit food. Extra handy when they have their 25% discount offer on (which ended last week) in the shop as well.

PMSL Davek; I thought that buying 5 was brave!!

I usually wouldn't have the cheek but I'm sick of missing out on deals thanks to certain types of restaurant owners buying up all the stock. Was in Asda when they had the tinned tomato deal on a few months ago. One trolley was loaded to the top with them. I know the checkout girl and asked her on my next visit if she could remember how may there were. He'd bought 240 tins - 60 four packs!
He came back later but they'd all gone and he asked if they could reserve a palet load for him :w00t:
Got 10 from the Hastings Branch. 5 on the self scanning section and 5 from a normal checkout. Went back a bit later and they wouldnt accept them. But they let me keep the vouchers.

What is wrong with Hartleys? I think its the best jam out there.
Tried Hartleys jam a while ago and didn't like it at all. So bad I had to throw it away in the end.
Forget it, go to Aldi where the jam is mainly fruit and only 69p [i think, wife buys it now] regardless of price it is as good as any top brands. The marmalade is definatly the tops- TRY IT AND PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE- AND LESS OUT OF YOUR POCKET!!
Jammy...........HOT
My 8 month old daughter loves this jam

On that basis, we should all do without until Christmas when they're back on 4 for £1

Hot from me

or buy in bulk when they are on offer. They do last for years you know! My garage resembles a tesco express (probably pay about 25% on what others pay for most of my food) :-D

When people think of free range they think of small holdings - chickins pecking about in a farm yard or wandering about in a field, but the commercial side of things is very different.

The standard for free range outside (where they are to spend 1/2 their life i.e. 23 days) is 1 meter squared per bird, but frankly they're lucky if they get that, same for the time, in reality they probably get a week outside and don't get the meter squared per bird they're supposed to (yes, 1 meter squared = free range) and there is no requirement for grass so outside = concrete because its easier to clean.

When inside (where they spend the majority of their 56 day lives) the regulations for free range are 13 birds per meter squared, because the flock sizes are in the thousands (usually around 8 or 9000 but there's no limit) it means that its pretty hard to rotate the chickens so they all get equal time outside, so what generally happens is the majority are trapped inside the shed.

And these are the official standards, its rare that the producers stick to them.

Is it better than caged? Just about, doesn't mean they're not still scabby as **** and leading very **** lives, its not the farmers fault - they want good welfare for their animals, but in a commercial environment where you're mass producing for the supermarkets there's ****all you can do about it.

I've seen a few articles and videos where people like Dispatches and Panorama go to "fair trade" producers, the workers have never even heard of the term, in one article they interviewed a worker for some chocolate company and in the 15 years he had been working there the standards hadn't improved, if anything they had gotten worse, and the company was meant to have switched to "fair trade" two years prior to them interviewing him, yet he had seen no changes... hmmm... I mean in some remote location in a country corrupt as **** a few $$$ can quite easily buy you the fair trade logo to stick on your box.

I also heard stories of workers being sent home for the day when european inspectors come around, all the producers know when they're going to get paid a visit (hotel rooms being booked, flights to their remote locations) etc etc

Words like "fair trade" and "free range" look good on packaging, especially when accompanied by a nice picture of a happy worker and a handful of chickens in a lush pasture but in reality its just not like that at all.

Fancastic post - you say how it is :D (ex egg packer worker)
meerar;7878641
can you please elaborate. when they say that the eggs are free range and the hens are free to roam and and pick about in pastures, is that not reliable. or is it just a label they get by conforming to some box ticking exercises.

What do you mean 'Bit like fair trade?' So you don't believe in independent audits of some farms / businesses from abroad, making sure working standards are good (not dangerous, not forced etc), and workers unions can unite to discuss wages and work etc. Anything that carries the fair trade mark has passed some sort of standard - depending on product and organisation. How ignorant. I realise corruption may take place, but this must be on a small scale if they are independently checked by different people.

I'm not a fair trade purist or anything, I normally buy products from the lowest bidder, but some people like to support them, I do buy fair trade products from time to time, however normally only if its cheap or not too much more than standard stuff.

Eggs are still fine past their best before date as well so worth stocking up on (not too much though) Its only "Best Before" not "Use by" which is different. They never used to have dates on them years ago and we still ate them! Heat added.

Hey mum, you didn't tell me you signed up to hotdeals!
ukmonkey;7877511
Got 2 boxes but they are really small eggs, like cadburys size.. still good price..

If the egg weight is between 53g and 62.9g (more likey the lower part of the range!) then legally you got what you paid for - 6 medium eggs... ;)

Free Range, they are free to roam outside if they choose to (if they can get out more like!) knowing chickens they all just bunch up by the pop holes in the barns and crowd themselves by the exit and not bothering going, Note, the chooks still have to come inside to lay her egg.
