Mine are eady to collect from my nearest shop :)
I've already mentioned there was a post about this on Hotukdeals recently, from Amazon, but this is the ebay Graham & Brown Outlet. It's all there in my first post? :)

Plus you get 10% off with 4 rolls or more from ebay, Amazon don't seem to have this offer. It's also mentioned free delivery on Amazon is with 2 rolls or more, can't vouch for this - ebay delivery is free no matter how many you order.

Funnily enough, boyf just said the very same thing! It's one of my favourites. Might be a bit too oppressive in the grey for a whole room, so I'm going to do a few walls in that, and a more colourful/girly "feature wall".

Can this price for 400g of fresh olives be beaten? £3.00 @ Morrisons

Ten minute job to gently heat some garlic & herbs in a saucepan with some oil (olive, rapeseed or vegetable), open a couple of cans of olives and then chuck the whole lot in a kilner jar. Letting them marinate for a day or two helps with the flavours.
Interesting, will have to try this...just to clarify when you say chuck it all in a kilner, do you mean brine as well from the cans?
No, I usually give them a rinse in a colander to get rid of the brine. Doesn't have to be a kilner jar, anything with a lid will do.
Loads of recipes out there - google "marinated olives" and you'll get the jist of how its done. Easy then to adapt the recipes to whatever herbs etc you have to hand. Just one caveat, if you're using fresh garlic always keep them in the fridge to avoid any chance of botulism - commercially prepared products treat the garlic to avoid this but its not so easy at home.
I always rinse my brined olives too, still don't taste anywhere near as good as ones bought 'fresh' like this.

Please do share your better deal for olives than this.

I can't beat them but found them for £3.00 at Morrisons, where were yours?
Same place, best deal around as far as I can tell.

however they just aren't the same when stored in brine.
Sorry to break it to you, but all olives are brined - thats how you get rid of their naturally bitter taste.

Yep, I know that, but there's a big taste difference depending on how they are packaged when you buy them, either in oil or brine.

Never bought olives but do like them. There are no storage instructions on these, could someone advise what storage options I have with these please.

I've bought them with the intention of having them with some salads, so when I've finished having salads for a few days and still have some left, how do I store them, and is it even ok to have them open for a few days to begin with?

I used to buy massive jars of olives and eat them slowly over a few days. I found as long as you kept the jar in the fridge and the olives were under the level of the "water" inside the jar, they would keep for a week or so.

Doesn't matter quantity, price, what about the quality?
Is it good? Bitter`ish? Anyone?

Pretty much identical to the Filippo stuff - i.e. bog standard run of the mill extra virgin.

You won't get anything amazing for this price - and Filippo, Bertolli etc are just average oils, never worth their "full price" of £9+/litre.

Does anyone know how long this will be running for?
This is a brilliant deal at this price

I purchased 4 packs today for the weekend/freezing and imo this is the best flavoured Morrison's deli ham

It's so popular in my local store that they couldn't slice to order as the queues would cause a helly deli melee! :D

Anyway, they were "re-carving" every 5 minutes so it's almost "to order", but at apparently "random thickness" :3

So, if I require a thicker slice, I just put two thinner slices together

Unbelievably, nobody seems to notice! ;)

Edited By: jimmybo on Jun 02, 2012 23:20: Thickness
Been to Morrisons for the first time today, what's with all the deli stuff being pre sliced? how long has it been there open to anythe elements? I usually shop at 'never knowingly undersold' where they slice it to my desired thickness, no choice of that here? Won't be going back any time soon.
The Wiltshire ham Freezes really well. I've bought loads and put it straight in my freezer.
Deli offers like these are usually more like twice the price at sainsburys when on offer. Hot X)

Though to be fair they did say none of the mass market oils were anywhere near as good as small growth specialist ones.

Thanks for the link!

The problem is that these oils aren't just comparable to small "boutique" producers, they are worse than the mass marketed oils you can buy at pretty much any supermarket in south european countries!

Does anyone know if the extra points are still being given with this wine? No sign of it online but I've added 6 to my order just in case. I can always give it back to the driver if it's not I suppose.

The points on the Marques De Monistrol Vintage finished at midnight on Wednesday. There are still wines with bonus points, but nothing like as good as the deal people got on Wednesday.

Which cava is giving you the 300 points? May go and stock up myself!

Anyway I thought the olive spread is only giving 10 points now instead of 50?

edit: found it - Marques De Monistrol Vintage Brut75cl

I phone up once a year and they credit my account with vouchers going out of date, so get new ones with the next batch posted, You just need to read the code on each voucher, easy to do and they are helpful on the other end of the phone, make sure you keep hold of the old ones incase there are any problems with crediting your account. Once you get the new vouchers bin the old ones.

Do you book through virgin for florida?

That's a good tip - thanks!!! Yes we always book through Virgin. Remember that you have to pay the brochure price (but unlike other Tesco deals this is ok as you don't usually get much more than 5% discount from Virgin anyway.)

Have done this before and as above, it's easy. If you don;t fancy doing that another trick is to order a £10 restaurant voucher using each of your vouchers. That takes £2.50 off and the remainder is credited to the next mailing. No good if you have loads of small vouchers but if you have some large ones about to expire it saves a phone call.

Yes just I would think. If you went to the Quality inn or Quality Plaza and chose not to have a car (the public bus services are excellent and lots of hotels offer their own transportation. Obviously you would still have to find spending money and park tickets.

Just checking - You say that you have only redeemed £100 in the last 8 years. You do realise that the vouchers are only valid for 2 years. they have an expiry date on them. That's why we go to Florida every 2 years.
