The Main PS4 Pro Features

• 4K Enabled

  The PS4 Pro is the first Sony console to support 4K gaming and entertainment. Gamers can now play blockbuster games, such as Death Stranding and Red Dead Redemption 2, in stunning 4K detail on a 4K TV or monitor. The PS4 Pro also allows you to stream 4K entertainment from online services like NetFlix, Prime Video, or YouTube, but be aware that there is no in-built Blu-Ray player.

• Faster Frame Rates

  The PlayStation 4 Pro boasts 60fps (frames per second) on supported games. Compared to the standard PS4's 30fps, gameplay on the PS4 Pro is smooth thanks to the extra power from the console 8GB of GDDR5 RAM.

• Double the Power of the PS4

  The PS4 Pro stores double the power of the standard PlayStation. This means there is greater image clarity, gameplay is smoother, and there are shorter load times for PS4 Pro enhanced games. However, it doesn't have as much power as its rival, the Xbox One X, which features 12GB of GDDR5 RAM compared to the PS4 Pro's 8GB GDDR5 RAM. We'll look at a full comparison later.

  Combined with an HDR TV, PS4 games exhibit a wide range of colours that are close to the spectrum that the human eye can see. With the PS4 Pro's HDR feature games are delivered in vibrant colours and lifelike detail.

• Storage

  The PS4 Pro 1TB contains enough storage to download all your favourite games. However, if you do like playing multiple games at the same time then, you might want to consider purchasing external storage to compliment the already impressive 1TB space.
