This or the S7 edge deal for £27 a month and £10 upfront?
Good value for what is still a good phone. Just missing that SD card slot.
Shame there's no decent deals on the 128GB model :(

Your keyboard appears to be faulty - then what? What experiences have you had with BT?
As I have my nice new contract with 14 day cancellation option - who would you presently recommend and why?

I am also looking for a broadband deal and wondering if I should go for this or wait a bit longer - I am currently with sky and pay 20quid a month for their most basic/glacial broadband service

If you do decide on this offer; I believe it finishes midnight tonight but (if you are not aware) do call them and have them check what they guarantee the speeds at - the advert quotes 52M but for my area they are saying 25M (small town called London!)

metth5182 - that makes for an awesome deal (almost free). Presently paying 35-40/month through PlusNet for standard Broadband and the supplied router can't cope so need something ASAP. But thank you for pointing this out - had I had a bit more time I would certainly hold off on the basis of this.
Bertz99 - hmmm, will see if I get the cashback. Thank you for pointing this out.
Etiher way the £100 credit card will cover the quad BT phones I was about to buy anyway.
Wow we've been with plusnet for years and at mo paying 27.82 pm for 38mb unlimited BB phone line AND Anytime calls. You need to threaten them you're leaving!

I think our actual broadband is 9.99 with 17.99 line rental along with 3.50 call-plan - add to that the kids using the land-line outside of the plan would hike it up every month. So looks like you have a really good deal with them - my download yesterday was 800k and took several hours to download a large file (Sims4). Am moving away from them now on principle as I called them yesterday to see about changing plan (up to fibre) and got a whole spin on loyalty etc etc and how good the 'upgrade' offer was that they were quoting me (loyal customer etc etc etc) - only for me to point out that I was looking at the same offer on-line for cheaper but apparently for a new customer. Guess it is the same old story of shopping around - but, had they been honest and explained the situation I would have probably stayed with them and payed that little bit more simply for the convenience.

Because I am switching I will now; get one of BT's new routers (though have a Netgear Nighthawk X6 'cos the plusnet one wasn't up to it and had to keep hard-wiring the laptops - so I will use the BT one as an Access Point up in the attic which should also give me coverage out in the garden), upgrade to a guaranteed speed over 25x faster than I presently have, get 100G of cloud storage. All for almost half (assuming Quidco & BR Reward pay out) of what I am paying at the moment.

Would this be enough to put on the landing with 3 bedroom doors open to have an effect? Thanks for the post anyway, interested in this type of air can at the moment , was looking at the LG Artcool.

Not "quick-fit" so requires an engineer install and only 8000BTU/2kW cooling.

These are simple to fit, basically just drill a hole in the wall with a holesaw, pass pipe through the wall and connect. No vacuum pump/pressure testing required.

They are 3.4KW, so that is like leaving your kettle running all day, will cost you a small fortune... at 3.4KW for 8 hours a day (depending on your electric rate) you are looking at £100 a month for oneat 12p a Unit electric, you are probably paying more3.4 x 8 = 27.2 x 0.12 = £3.26 per day
Wrong, wrong, wrong. That's 3.4 kW of heating capacity not electricity consumption.
Heat pumps don't work like that.
With heat pumps and heating you get 3 times the efficiency of a conventional electrical heating.
These work out to be around 3.4 kW of heating from 1 kW of electricity,

What would be the actual consumption when cooling. It just seems to quote 'nominal' figures, thanks
Wish these were £50 lol

For existing Sky tv customers (which for some reason Sky don't classify as new customers for broadband), I was able to negotiate Sky Fibre Unlimited for £11.01 & Sky Talk Line rental for £9.99 and no set up cost bar the £9.95 delivery, so £21 a month for 18 months.
Hopefully this helps someone trying to negotiate a deal.

Cold for Quidco. Had lot of cashback rejected including Quidco bonuses

Cold for Quidco but hot for the cost of the Sky package? The ISP surely is a better performer than say, Origin who are charging 50% less than this without cashback but with quite a few disgruntled customers according to the two cold deals on Hukd.

Having Quidco turn down cashback from Sky twice, I would vote this deal Freezing if option allowed. Quidco very good at rejecting negative feedback on their site,.
Quidco lists this as an Exclusive. This should mean it's not a run of the mill pre-VAT cashback and therefore every chance it will be honored.
Don't understand your reasoning. Exclusive is meaningless as each site guarantee to match the other sites rates. Pre Vat malarkey was a trick Quidco used to catch people out with their headline promos.

Quidco offer some lucrative deals recently but you can run into troubles with rejected cashback. Though they are helpful but cashback is still not guaranteed. With Sky there are very high chances of rejection. Sky was the only major retailer who didn't paid me.

Remember it excludes check in baggage and transfers. If you compare a proper "package deal" this would add at least an extra £130, equating to £750 for 2. You may not need to check in luggage and accept you need to buy razors, etc. It is also a 3* hotel. No entertainment etc. It also looks very dated.

It is not a bad price, but not great. There were 4* deals on Thomas Cook for similar and lower prices over the past 8 weeks to Canaries.

Prices seem to be low this year and massive price changes on Thomson. Eg from £420 per person for a 24 hour AI to £700 for the same holiday (per person) on the same dates. First Choice prices were cheaper than Thomson (same group).

I take my Wilkinson or Gillette razor as hand luggage regularly and never had problems. Put it in my clear toilet bag with everything else.

I know ain't it a bitch to have a nice gentle sea breeze taking the edge of those blistering temperatures!
My favourite island (I've been about 10 times) but avoid the hotel listed here because it's in a residential area with lots of partly built developments around it and the nearest beach or proper tourist area is a fairly long walk away in Caleta.

Not sure why this is being cold. I have previously bought this from ebay and Amazon and never been able to get it less than 2.99. Anyways with my quidco this cost me £2.17 - For me it is a deal

Its a great price, but not product. Thats why. As more and more people finds out it smells just good couple of days, a week at best and Little Trees for half price smells a month. BTW California Scents has been bought recently by Energizer as they were going tits up...

These used to be the best car air freshener you could buy, to be honest too good as one would last atleast 6 months +, I guess the manufacturer realised this and unfortunately has made them sh**.... even at this price they are too expensive.... real same!

Thats what I needed to hear. Thanks! I tried them few years back and the smell lasted only 3 days....when back to 2008 they lasted 6 months + Magic Tree smells for a month or so, so far better as cost only £1.
I have contacted California Scents and they confirmed that CS formula was changed in 2011....to worst of course.
They're still better than LittleTrees...

Way too expensive for a budget/midrange phone.
I have the Huawei P9 Lite which was updated to Android 7 Nougat a few weeks ago. My Mrs has the same phone and she's still on Android 6 Marshmallow.
P8 here from CPW (so unbranded), which I bought in Feb 2016 - received around 10 updates so far, most via Huawei Firmware Finder, including May 2017 security patch.
I have the P9 Lite and have had it since July 2016. My last security update was November 2016 and nothing since. Still a good phone though.

So not an issue really.
TCL Communication has a long-standing track record of delivering high-quality devices to our customers around the world, and the BlackBerry KEYone is no different. To ensure the highest quality in the BlackBerry KEYone, we used strong, durable premium materials and conducted rigorous stress tests on the device throughout the product development cycle to meet the real life use standards our customers demand. While the BlackBerry KEYone is being met with great enthusiasm, we are aware of the concerns around potential display separation on the device. Out of the thousands of BlackBerry KEYone smartphones that have been shipped and sold globally, only a very small handful of customers have reported this kind of issue. Our teams are actively examining additional adhesive measures that might further strengthen and eliminate any possibility of display separation occurring. they make decent running shoes
Cold not Nike, Reebok, Puma or DadDYidas

/sarcasm

I am sure most of them are owned by Asics now - well Nike wouldnt be here if it were not for Asics.

I remember when I was at school the kids would tease the unfortunate ones wearing Asics because they were the 'Onkyo' of trainers.

Before my comment gets slated - I voted hot, just because the Asics seem to last forever.

Look at this post it seems I have to replace the old laptop
It's been this price for a while on the Currys website, I nearly bought it when they had a 10% discount code but was hoping for a better deal at the last bank holiday.
some of the second hand ones have only been used once or twice.
save yourself several hundred pounds.
let me guess what I would do?

Touch Screen , and better processor. Got one for the wife, and can not find any faults with it
And they accepted best offer of £460

Hmm lets think here. Ebay second hand vs Currys brand new? Nope. Not seeing it.
This is also available Reserve & Collect on the Currys website (I'm picking one up tonight) and theres £30 quidco on laptops over £500 currently (seems to include Reserve & Collect).

I have a Mobius in the rear of my last car (I haven't refitted to my current one). I use self-adhesive tripod mounts, available off ebay. They are the type with a ball-joint attachment and plastic collar to tighten. Should cost a couple of £ each, usually they are sold in packs of 2-3.

Aliexpress do state they charge in whichever currenty you choose so if you set it as £ you are charged in that (banks like to add extra for paying in other countries which tends to be 2-3%)Never use paypal you end up paying way more then even banks because they use there own rates and fees for everything. The other methods are use top up cards like monzo and revolut

I can confirm this. Convert the currency into pounds on the aliexpress site and that's what you will see coming out of your credit card.

people should post which store they purchased from and how long it had taken to arrive this would help others choose just putting aliexpress doesn't really help that is like say ebay which there is loads of different selllers
I ordered from this seller ( goldway) and had the dispatch email the less than 12 hours after ordering. so much better than waiting up to 14 days for gearbest to dispatch .
I paid by paypal ( was £3 extra paying by paypal). My bank would have charged nearly that in fees if they billed in US$ - which i suspect alipay does ( if the details on their site are correct ). This also means i could ship to my work address instead of the card address and not risk my card details on a Chinese site.

If you like dealing with Indian call centres and staff who can't deviate from their script, then this is the deal for you. Not for me, having been a customer of theirs I can honestly say this is the very worst ISP I've ever had in about 25 years.
I wouldn't spit on them if they were on fire. Worst Company i have ever dealt with. System geared to fob you off if you have an issue. Never pay out. I refused the insulting compensation they offered me for 5 missed appointments and 3 months without a connection. £30.
Their CS is really chit , especially when you are trying to get a refund of money after moving BB elsewhere. they never paid up.
Just got a cancellation chrge refunded from BT however, with a little arm-twisting...

I have those missing Christmas bonus offers with Quidco.
On top of that, a couple of gambling retailers I'd had cashback track with vanished from their site. I chased Quidco (I'm a Premium member) and their best suggestion (genuinely) was that I contact the gambling sites directly. I had to laugh.

Same here, 3 x bonus cashback not paid out, I sent emails to Quidco customer service a few times and each time they came up with a lazy excuse NOT to pay the cashback (even after sending them a screenshot of the offer).
I have now stopped using Quidco after being a member for 10+ years. No issues at all with TC.

unfortunately, Amazon is now 1.5%. They reduced it recently but still 3% @ TCB.
That's intriguing as my Quidco still shows 3% bonus, even on a/c balance as low as £1.50 [These Maltesers!].
Made me check and I believe the difference must be because I'm still paying their Premium Membership £5/yr fee - it's listed as a perk, among some other more vague benefits:
https://www.quidco.com/premium-features/

So reverse engineering now - to make that 1.5% bonus difference worth £5 means need £333.33 worth of Quidco would need to be redeemed as Amazon benefit to cover the Premium fee.
Mine has just paid out.

Thanks OP.

Noticed the Maltesers Pouch (previous weight 121g Pouch/120g Box) has got smaller again.
Now 93g
Thats a 23% reduction in size/weight. The Maltesers box will look like a box of Cook's Matches before long or sound like an empty vessel. Sad I know, but for Mars products on offer, is worth checking the weight markings, it's got so bad.
Brexit means Brexit :p
I emailed Quidco last night and woke up this morning to £1.50 confirmed :)

Who are you addressing?

aau1
m1chaels. You say to buy 6 other comparable items. That's not correct.
You need 8 different items or more.
Also they have to be listed on the asda.com website
None of the other items have to compare with sainsburys, just the toothpaste
If you do buy comparable items then your £6.60 voucher will either decrease, stay the same or increase
Thanks for the clarification, I knew it was min 8 items. I know people buy 1 carrot, 1 onion, 1 banana etc.

I used to do that but my store has stopped selling loose carrots and loose ginger.

This time around i just got 8 different muller lights and the toothpaste. It's unbelievably easy but some people are just too closed-minded to even consider this way of shopping

I think you could have got away with just 6 Mullers plus the 2 toothpastes (if you chose 1 x cool mint and 1 x soft mint), because only 8 different items are needed.

I know but variety is the spice of life lol

Also they are 8 for £4 in A and 50p each in S so you make 60p profit for the toothpaste and an extra 40p for the mullers
2minutenoodles
I looked at this offer already... me thinks you can't do your maths :S

To me it looks like £6 back from ClickSnap + £6.60 (approx.) + back from Asda, subject to minimum 8 different product purchase. The 'approx.' is because the actual Asda refund price depends upon the price differences of the other 6 items compared to the price matched retailer). How do you see the maths working?

I contacted Quidco live chat for another cashback issue and the lady resolved it very quickly. She was very helpful, so I asked her why my Spinners purchase at theworks.co.uk was rejected. She said that most of the purchases that day were rejected as they did not receive a confirmation that the order went through. She asked me to raise a "Missing Cashback" claim at the following link and fill the order details with the normal 21% cashback option. Once the cashback is confirmed by the merchant, Quidco will automatically credit the bonus £3 to your account. http://www.quidco.com/new-enquiry Apparently this is the only way they can now verify that the purchase went through.. I just raised mine, thought it will be helpful to others who's cashback has been wrongly rejected. Good luck...!!

Thanks Eclairs. I have a very slow email conversation about this with The Works. I'll try your suggestion.

Thanks - further proof that Quidco simply cannot be trusted to pay up. As always, stick to Topcashback if you want to get paid, rather than done over.
