Groupon Favourites of 2015 - Monster Beats by Dr.Dre £24.98 (50% off)

I know HUKDealers don't really like beats, but saw this on my email and thought this was a relatively good price (I could be wrong, though!) Loads more deals also here : https://www.groupon.co.…

Do not buy from groupon sent me two sets of beats studio that were both broken . They were for kids Christmas presents . Fobbed me off on refund so went through PayPal . Then said they would refund me only if I closed PayPal dispute . 13 emails no refund they failed to respond to PayPal and they told me 10 times to close dispute against paypals advice . Spoke to PayPal and they said all groupon needed to do was to enter resolution centre to authorise refund but advisor from groupon wouldn't do it . Once again asked for me to close dispute . Once dispute is closed you have no comeback . How can a company behave like this . I will expose them !!!! And so should others !!!

If you did some research it would be helpful. Trustpilot giving it 1star out of 5, people claims from this retailer dynergy that are selling broken items and forcing customers to return items for replacement, and when replacement arrives its the same broken item. Fraudulent company.

That's fair enough, should have looked into it better to be honest, Sounds really **** in their practices, though. Thanks for letting me know any way I can delete/remove this deal?

Negatives are usually because people don't want to sign up,
I find zalando lounge emails good, unlike other companies who send blank emails stating sale on, don't forget our sale is still on, not advertising any product.. etc
Does my head in
On the other hand
Zalando lounge a quick scan of the message and you know if you are interested or not depending on what brands are on sale
Thanks for that and a fair comment, I hate those pesky emails which don't say much - but as you rightly said Zalando emails are more targeted with specific information. I quite like Zalando's shopping experience and their CS - not much to complain about really.

It's always helpful to know why people vote cold, so that one can then try to post accordingly, with as much information upfront so it doesn't waste others time.

One of the top epilators that offers the most high-end features is the Braun Silk Epil 7. It’s the best epilator in the Braun’s manufacturing. This model was designed for use on the entire body, including legs, underarms, bikini area, and face.

It’s a wet and dry epilator, so you can use it in both wet and dry environments. This epilator pulls out the hairs that are as short as 0.5 mm straight from the roots, which will leave you with smooth skin for about four weeks.

The package includes 5 attachments for use on different body parts. They include a facial cap, trimmer cap, sensitive area cap, efficiency cap, and a shaver head.

The design is very functional and all the caps can quickly be interchanged with ease.

The 40 tweezers feature a close grip that allows the removal al of even the shortest hairs. More tweezers also means faster epilating, but the balanced amount of tweezers this epilator has also means that it won’t be as painful.
Here's a full review of it, it's a great Epilator, eyes peeled for another like this full review here
Just purchased, hopefully it isn't too painful! Thanks for posting!
I have just bought this but with the face brush bit for £66, this is a good price! It's a really good epilator.

Yeah more interactive movie than game but I did enjoy it and this is a good price. Agree PS4 version will be a psn+ title soon. Easy platinum tho but no replay value.
Great price but this is one of those games that would end up on PS plus soon, since I have PS plus until 2017 I will just wait.
I rented this from Boomerang Games a few months ago and I actually enjoyed it. I managed to complete it in one day (it's about 6-7 hours long) and it might not be a defining game in the genre, but it's definitely worth it at this price.
Agree, at this price it's worth it. I have to admit that I got bored after the first hour personally. Certainly not a next gen game. But for this price, it's a fun rental to keep.
Worth it at this price, under rated game imo

Would this be a better deal? Slightly more money, slightly lower read speed, but at 55 MB/s a decent write speed. And there is an OTG plug incorporated. Maybe not the best comparison as it is really big, it's just I can't find the write speed for the Sandisk:

Probably these these two features.

- Share what you’re listening to with friends.
- Record shows & listen to them anytime.

Share with your contacts and records (and delete from) to SD card. Don't use it, didn't make it so that's just guess work but seems entirely logical.

Yeah Thank you i see now you are right didn't think about the recording and sharing . 8)

That does look good thanks, I have a Panasonic tz65 at the moment, about 5 years old or more. Take good photos, just wanted to do more, saw the huge lenses on the bridge cameras and thought that they must be better. The tz60 or 40 also looked good, but the one you posted looks like it will do more (I think). Thanks

You have to REALLY want that 1200mm equiv lens to buy this. Presumably for some hobby your into that requires a massive amount of zoom. Birdwatching or sport maybe, but you'll be limited to bright light.

In these days of constant aperture zooms and large sensor compacts spending this much on a F2.8-5.9 1/2.3" sensor camera doesn't appeal at all to me. You can certainly do a LOT better for you money if you don't need the zoom.

It's a year old now and no doubt will be replaced with a 4K recording version before long.

I would've spent so much money if Rocksmith DLC was included in this!!

Surprised that there isn't an equivalent of Frets on Fire and Phase Shift for Guitar, my other half loves those games for their electronic drum kit. Apparently there are now 1000+ songs clogging up our HTPC.

There was a project where a guy was working on using a real guitar in a rock band/guitar hero/frets on fire style before any of the Rocksmith type games came out. I was using for about a year, then the project closed and he just left a message saying he's been offered something he'd be silly to refuse.

Now, we have Bandfuse and Rocksmith pop up about a year later. Licensed technology or was he just paid simply just to not develop the free version ?
Rocksmith 2014 is well worth the price as a teaching tool, simply covering the basics in the game will have paid for itself vs a single proper lesson where you'd be lucky if you to even play a song.

The DLC on the other hand, and more so the import tool, is a mostly a rip off. I already own the original Rocksmith on steam, not sure why I should be paying £7 to play the same songs in Rocksmith 2014. Probably licensing fees they couldn't get around as it's not proof of ownership worries like on the xbox.
The DLC songs are expensive and it's unlikely they'll be on a huge discount that makes buying them difficult, more so when you're not all too confident in playing already because you really don't know what you're getting yourself in for. That sweet as rift sounds easy, but it can be the bane of your guitar experience for a long time to master it.
.. and i'm ranting. lol.

Enjoy rocksmith, great game.

Does anyone know if Rocksmith still requires the cable, or can we use any audio interface with it now? It's one of the things that's been putting me off buying it.

AFAIK it def needs the cable

Cheers. It's a shame really, since the day they remove that limitation is the day I hand over money for the game. **** to buying it if I can't use my high-end lag-free audio interface with it.

There are ways to get around having to use the real tone cable.

You can use a no-cable patch - that lets you use one of your inputs as the cable, it's flaky at best as the game expects to be hearing the rocksmith's bundled real tone cable and not your lag free, setup... or as the case will be for some cheaper low end setups who're not willing or can't afford the cable, poor quality sound and lots of lag.

The 2nd way is to emulate the cable by using one of the 'hacked' drivers for a cheaper USB to 1/4" cable. Again, results may vary depending on the quality of the Chinese cheap USB adapter decide to be using.

I don't bother with either of them, since I have the cable but I'd be worried trying to learn songs if it was the patch/hack applied to the game not performing well, the cheap USB cable etc or my skill that's let letting me progress in the game, and I only say that now because even with the official rocksmith cable I struggled quite a lot to understand just how lightly you had to touch the strings to perform an harmonic.

I'd invest in the USB cable for the game, and know the game is going to work as intended with it.*

* as in tended, but you still have to tab out and turn the recording volume up in the windows control panel.

Even after they've put up a benchmark brief on their website explaining the situation? It's not as if they're Samsung, modifying their firmware to make it impossible to tell the difference between versions (on the 226BW screen).

Time to reward a good response, take up the boycott again if they repeat it with another model.

Thanks for not providing the link!

Anyway, that seems like a lot PR spin and I would take independent test of Kingston's over own as Kingston's SSD reputation is currently zero.

Obviously, Kingston's response is better than ignoring it, but even their own tests show a massive performance difference for 4KB read/write. Avoid.

Performance variation on a model isn't the issue, the issue was that they didn't tell you about it. If it's the way they want to do things then it's perfectly reasonable for them to sell models with variable performance as long as it meets the specs they give and they inform reviewers and customers that it will vary.

Think HUKD really needs a sticky feature to warn people about the awful Kingston 300.

Kingston are baitt-and-switch cowboys and should be boycotted.

Easy there Colombo. EE is the brand used for the joint Orange /T mobile 4G network. The deal here is for T mobile which is limited to 3G. It's the best 3G coverage available alongside 3, so this deal is still hot but not a 4G deal as it stands.
HertzVR
Its T-Mobile, so 3G only. Have to go EE for the 4G malarky.

T-Mobile Provided By EE = 4G i phoned and asked them

Great deal with 4g and unlimited data. people obviously just see the whole price and vote cold because they can't be bothered actually digesting the facts. thanks op
HertzVR
Best deal for this I have seen, with the unlimited data. A really decent 3G connection is good enough for most applications, heat added. 4G hammers the battery harder, and of course hasnt got coverage in vast swathes of the country. Except for the cashback element being a pain, its the best sub £20 offer for a while.

dont understand the cold votes from people its umlimited data with 4g better than the other deal posted last week wth only 500mb

Tried this game on windows 7 64bit and windows 8.1 64bit :D No joy, kind starts every now and then on 7 before crashing and just plain wont load on 8. Shame on you Simply for ripping me off £1.

P.S. If you love Securom then you're gonna love this
would not even pay this price rubbish game
I played this on the 360 when it was first released and returned it the next day as I didn't think it was good enough to warrant full price. However, for a squid you can't really go wrong.

seen reviews of this game apparently it is quite bad and its really old, i would vote cold as its just a waste of space on my hard drive

2009 is not "really old" even in PC gaming terms. A 2000 game versus a 1995 game - yes - you're going to see massive leaps in graphics techniques. 2009 versus 2014? Drastically less so.

Got this for free on a Gamefly deal and to be honest I'm glad I did. It looks very nice and all but the biking challenges are just annoying.

Heat added, watching xcom review at the moment. Looks like a tps with RPG elements. Also are there any good RPGs maybe Japanese for the PC?

RPG elements is stretching it, each class gets a choice of two upgrades per level, the weapon loadouts for most classes are restricted to one/two types (rifle, shotgun, sniper rifle and machinegun) in those type you get three upgrades that just make the weapon stronger.

Enemy Within adds some options but you are just looking at the most basic of RPG "elements".

Shame well I guess I'll find something, thinking of re installing planet side 2 now after watching that review.

You might want to try the UFO series of games. Very similar to X:COM, the later two have more RPG elements and there are some really good mods out there for them. Combat is a bit like Baldurs Gate in that its real time but can be set to turn based. They are also quite cheap, each one of the trilogy should set you back no more than a fiver. Fallout Tactics is also a good game to look into if you want a strategy/tactical game with a more RPG flavour. I personally enjoyed a game called Grotesque Tactics but its not to everyone's liking.

For straight up RPGs are you wanting sprite based like FF1-6, 3D like FF7 onwards or action RPGs such as Monster Hunter/Daemon Souls?

PCs couldn't handle ps4 graphics

ether707 - I think you need to get yourself a better computer if yours can't handle ps4 graphics! Is it really that old? Ha ^_^

You look stupid with that hat on.

Also my ps4 loads faster than any pc i've seen so it beats it. Just get over that ps4 is better.

You must have seen lame PC's then, try getting an actual gaming PC or learning how to customise your own to improve it! Not that hard!

FYI it's a onesie ;) and at least I put a picture of how I actually look rather than a little drawing

So you're saying I'm not blastoise?

You're just jealous that I have a console and you don't. I know they are too fast for you.

Oh of course, that must be the reason! I already own a PS4, XBox, Nintendo DSXL, Samsung Galaxy tablet and a high end gaming computer. But you go ahead and think what you will. You already seem shallow and self concious to have to argue against one persons opinion and then criticise the persons appearance. Such a nice person you are, go enjoy your high quality gaming..

I thought it was pretty clear that I was trolling but still people fall for it? :D

I don't even know how I come across on the internet sometimes. People get mad over the littlest of things.

PS4 is better than a PC...I have a acer athlon x64 & it is true the ps4 is better at gaming

No love for Democracy 3? It's a fun little game, **** me off though as the public loved me & what I'd accomplished, but my cabinet hated me & all but 1 or 2 resigned!

I want to buy it but it just doesn't look like it's worth £9.49 is there any replayability?

Being a "simulator" of sorts, there sort of is, I originally chose to play it by doing what I felt would benefit the country, taking into account public opinion. A mate played it & he played it implementing draconian laws & being a bit of a nob, as you can imagine they ended up pretty different.

While mine didn't really help the debt too much (I did reduce it but lowered crime/debt/drugs etc) & the public loved me, he wiped the debt, pleased some groups & upset others, the public weren't overly keen on him but i think he did make it to the end of the game by some miracle from what he said.

I think as a game it is a great concept, of all the simulator games to come out during the hype for them in the last 2 or so years (The other being Euro Truck 2) I feel this is one of the best & offers a great game for a niche market.

(Sorry if i've rambled or it doesn't make sense, been a bit delirious the past week or so thanks to a stupidly low level of sleep due to illness).

Edit: Just realised, the reason I picked up this game was Nerd3's video on it, it is more of a video of his opinions on stuff but he does talk about some of the aspects of the game so might be worth watching a bit to get a grasp of it it's a game you'll enjoy - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpE_bLaLG3I

Yeah I've seen Yogscast Sips play it which is partly why I wanted it, I'll have to wait until it's next on sale now anyway because I'm pretty skint until payday :p

Ahh the dingus party was it?

Think Sips was the reason i didn't go for a third playthrough, saw he'd done it & ended up watching that instead!

Thanks man! Been wanting to try X-Com for ages!

I thought it was a really good modern remake of the classic (not often I can say that) and have had the code sitting there for around a year going to waste. I hope it's found a loving home ;)
Good price.
A great game made even more awesome by the Enemy Within expansion - worth getting that as well if you like this.

Slightly different variety as the Argos/ebay ones are the "Space Tweeters": these ones are for the Nintendo DS (with accessories), but don't know if they're essentially the same headphone (?).
