£1 on asda
Can you please show me where on Asda, thanks.

i searched on asda site for dental hygiene kit and came up with nothing. a link would help, but it doesn't sound right to me that you can get this for £1 at asda. why would asda even sell this, which is really for dentist, it is not the sort of thing you add to your weekly shopping list!

this isn't for a dentist, it's for home use and is of significantly lower quality than a dentists version.

asda do often sell it, pound shops also sell similar versions albeit with a plastic handle.
code still working. :)

Im waiting on the max white advanced warfare
Good price but what's with Colgate banging out new ranges of "white" related products on a monthly basis. They have so many varieties that half them end up in the Pound shops. They always word them funny too even reading this one you'd think it was a whitening paste but in reality all they are really claiming is there are white bits in the tooth paste not that they actually do anything except dissolve! Max White, Optic White, HD, 3D etc next month it'll be Colgate 4K!

I hope the battery last longer than those in the woeful Philips toothbrushes, 9 months then 11 months. This is £5 cheaper than the normal price, As oral B toothbrushes are always on sale at 50% off RRP in boots ;) Only thing that puts me off oral B is the head replacement price £29.99 for 8 which is almost £3.75 each. Always stock up on these as they're on offer every other month or so, ala Cathedral City cheese etc.

Dunno who would buy them at full price mind you as it's obvious they yoyo in price all the time.
Just as a point of interest, the "chunks" that you're meant to look at in the sink and go "wooow!" at, also form if you just put some mouthwash in a glass and spit in it.
Just buy Tesco's own. Bigger bottle and cheaper.

Or book into your doctors and get a nurse to do it properly. You shouldn't be really doing anything DIY with your ears. They're very delicate organs.

And to reply to the earlier poster, this doesn't heat up the water. You're advised to put tepid water into the reservoir.

I wonder if you could use this to clear the wax out of your ears.

Probably yes - power is adjustable but only water is recommended to be put but clould be warm.
I do not recommed it! Powerful jets of water directed down the ear canal = burst ear drum. You can buy a home syringing kit which is manually operated and the syringe has three holes at the end which fire water out sideways - much safer.

Can't see any reviews for these at all. I have a rechargeable Philips HealthyWhite sonic toothbrush (had a few sonic brushes over the years). The adult version is 20,000 strokes a minute too, and gets great reviews.

Amazon has the adult Colgate MaxWhite SonicPower for £3 as an Add-on item. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Colgate-MaxWhite-Powered-Medium-Toothbrush/dp/B005PJQ9Z6

Adult versions are on Boots too: COLGATE 360 Sonic bat toothbrush £2.05: http://www.boots.com/en/COLGATE-360-Sonic-bat-toothbrush_1305602/

This is hot uk deals not a forum for dental welfare. The site doesn't require sanctimonious preachers regardless of their supposed good intentions!

Sadly HUKD is full of sanctimonious preachers on anything from anabolic steroids at the £1 shop or zebra grooming kits...... many deals seem to attract a lot of arguements , if HUKD was in a pub there'd be lots of fights and lots of genital waving comparisons in the carpark.

Sure anything to help publicise cancer is commendable but seems somewhat out of place on this site where £1 Ipod chargers or £0.80pence mittens for dogs is the norm.

Good spot if you happen to be looking for one now - heat. :p

£58 earlier today btw..
I love all these idiots voting cold on the basis that 'the price used to be lower'. So are all sorts of prices if you happen to have a time machine.

This is the lowest price around now by some margin. Argos and Boots are actually charging £199!

Good spot if you happen to be looking for one now - heat. :p
Shame it isnt now i suppose :)

Pretty poor reviews on Amazon I'm afraid.

The vast majority are positive.
Brilliant toothbrush at cleaning your teeth - been using these for years.
They don't last forever though, that's the downside- but had no problem with Philips replacing under the 2 year warranty.
Pretty poor reviews on Amazon I'm afraid.

Bought this on amazon black Friday for 30 quid :)
How you finding it ? It's the first electric brush I've had, I find the 2 minute brush time is not long enough for me. Dosnt feel like I've brushed them.

YOu dont have to use it for 2 minutes..you can use it longer.
and its really nice i enjoy using it and better than manual ones.

Oh God YES I DO! Thank you so much for bringing this problem out into the open, and the price is merely a bonus.

what is the barcode number? my Asda has a few variations

These are the two in the picture, link will give you barcodes, Clean Mint is my fav as too me it barely tastes of mint, more like cloves and something i can't put my finger on but i love it anyway, hubby prefers the 2nd one. Hope this helps

I didn't need a scale and polish either after using this, love the taste and love the product, shame it doesn't agree with some of you.
I'm the same shoe gal, didn't need a hygienist for the first time in a while, saved the cash :-)

this toothpaste is vile, great when you brush but by the afternoon/morning your mouth will be covered in a slimy jellylike substance (seems some of the ingredients conjeal saliva) EWWWWW!!
look it up on the web, I was not teh only one with this issue.

I also experienced this when I tried a tube of Oral-B Pro-Expert. I changed back to Colgate Total it stopped. Then when I tried Pro-Expert again it started again! So it definitely is the toothpaste. I have never had the problem before and have never had it again since I stopped using Pro-Expert. It was literally like really thin layers of skin shedding off my cheeks and inner lips and turning all slimy. I assumed I may have been allergic to one of the ingredients...

Coming from an Oral B electric toothbrush, I've doubts whether this is doing much! The bristles seem much too flexible, and seems to tickle my teeth more than providing the resistance to actually remove stuf from between the teeth. A new Oral B brush head could make your gums bleed from thorough brushing the first few times, theres no chance of that with these, and I dont know if thats a good thing. Anyone else thinking the same?

Well, I floss and gargle with mouthwash beforehand, so I shouldn't have anything left between my teeth after those two steps...

Picked up a brush and 4 packs of heads, giving me nearly 5 years' worth at one per quarter (including the 3 that come with the handle) for just under £25, which is less than the handle kit for many of the branded alternatives. I've never used an electric toothbrush before, so I didn't want to spend too much at first.

Can you let us know if it's any good please?

First impressions are good; it seems solidly built, but not having used an electric or sonic toothbrush before, I was mildly surprised at how little vibration there was - it's still necessary to perform a manual brushing action, but with rather less intense 'scrubbing'! On medium I found it perfectly comfortable and less uncomfortable than the brushing I sometimes get at my dentist. As for its effectiveness compared with a manual toothbrush, we'll have to wait for the verdict from my dentist at my next appointment!
