Great quality in my opinion. Only downside is that the large Velcro expanse can snag your clothes when in close contact with your shirt.

these are just cheap rackets imo. you can get these from sports direct most of the time.
they are ok if you just want some fun as a beginner and u want to hit a few balls occasionally on the local public court but not for anything else.
if that was the reason for your post that's fine
Plus1. If your interested in decent tennis raquets, then keller sports are really good, defenitely recommend, managed to get an aerodrive for £95 unstrung

I've got 6 head prestige pro rackets so I probably won't buy any for about 5 years but thanks for the tip!

How is it odd?
A tennis game brands a tennis ball with its logo as a promotional item.

Every looking at the crowd in Buzz's image posted, they haven't made any effort at all there. Is just bad GFX of Toad's, Yoshi's and Shyguys. I am skipping this game as it won't get played after the first time it gets taken out the box. Heat for the price though.

First time eh? I remember the Tesco games rush of two-ought-n'thirteen when the original packagin' Mario Tennis Open was listed on-shelf at €5 (yup - euro. Back when £ was worth somethin') and scanned in at 1c. About 3/4 of one of your pennies. Ayup. Youngsters t'day with their hippity hoppity and their eBays.

Still a decent price if you're looking to pick it up but having played it I'm not sure there's a good reason to want to pick it up unless you're a collector. It's a functional, competent game, but nothing more.

I've not played it on PC, I know it's not on Steam atm. Maybe we'll get an update at some point?
Be nice if EA did a "Andy Murray's LTA Wimbledon 2017" or something but it looks like tennis has become about as popular as Badminton (in gaming terms that is) :(
AFAIK the devs on "Tennis Elbow" are still around and keen to continue so if enough peeps buy their product there's a possibility they'll do a new one...
It's strange that Sega hasn't released this gem on Steam yet. It's a must.

Btw, you can get Virtual Tennis on PC CD but it might have compatibility issues with Windows 10.

I wasn't looking for these particularly, but have been into two HMV stores in different parts of the south-west (Reading and Westfield) over the past week and all the Wii U stuff had discount stickers on but also said "product out of stock" on the same sticker. Which a) seems a bit pointless and b) probably indicates that they're clearing out the current stock, so I imagine it'll be a case of luck whether your local store has any left or not.
Star Fox Zero's display case said "out of stock" but when asked they had it in stock. It's just a matter of asking the employee.

Which is even more frustrating in a way.

Perfect! I have a piece of MDF to go on my garden table and this will be perfect as normal nets are too big!
Coat the mdf with something weather proof, it will turn to a big soggy lump of mush the minute it gets damp/wet otherwise.

Great tip! This is one that was salvaged from an old carport but when I replace it I'll probably paint it to get the proper effect!

Thanks to the age discrimatory and "apprenticeship" loophole, Sports Direct isn't the only place paying less than the real minimum wage, never mind the dreamland "living wage" that is talked about but no one actually gets.

Not to mention the auto enrolment into the pension scheme which happens everytime you start a new job/contract. It is made difficult and usually frowned upon to opt out. Then the bs tax codes that you have to sort out. For people on "apprenticeships", temporary contracts, agency staff, zero hours etc it is a minefield of exploitation.

It is emotionally, psychologically and physically draining. For people with poor numeracy, literacy and low confidence it is nearly impossible to get a fair days pay.

I often wonder, why do people continue to have children in this country?. Smoke and mirrors at every turn. Mind numbing tv, Jeremy Kyle or shows about "benefits scroungers" or evictions and reposessions passed off as entertainment. False news, pointless wars, incredibly difficult to get proper health care and housing, the list goes on.

It is disgusting what they SD have done, but they are an easy scape goat for people to sneer at. And thanks to SD existence, atleast almost anyone can afford to dress their kids in okay looking sports gear. Poor people used to have rely on markets for Ascot trainers...

Own brand junk from the British slave traders Sports Direct.
Donnay WERE a 'good make'.

Then Mike Ashley happened.....

No brand (other than the 'Big 5-6') in SportsDirect are what they appear....
Uridium
Donnay haven't been a 'good brand' for many years now. It's just another brand name now owned by sportsdirect...so cheap Chinese made stuff, over inflated RRP stickers and then artificially reduced.
I'm not saying this table won't be any good but just don't fool yourself into thinking it's worth any more than the sale price

I remember when Donnay, Dunlop and Slazenger made quality tennis racquets, not any more.

Really wish sports direct didn't exist.

Very basic and simplistic game which becomes very boring quickly, even in 2 player local mode. Worth about £8 at most tbh.
If you want a no frills tennis game in HD this is a great game, if you want a lot of add on content or RPG elements then maybe you'll be disappointed or just enjoy the fact it's a bloody tennis game..!

If you grew up in the 80s and all you had to play was Pong then maybe you'd just enjoy it for what it is.
Not worth £15. Even the online mode made be bored af.
The Mole
Good price but an awful game that does not deserve the name of Mario Tennis. Rushed to market missing a lot of content that is expected and no real story mode.

Yep, couldn't agree more. Bought it with the Bowser amiibo for about £20 I think and i've only been back to play it once.

Would not recommend if you are thinking of playing tennis regularly. Even spending just £6 more will get you something alot better. Ok for the odd hit I guess.
Any suggestions?
My sons just started since Wimbledon, started with this as it might just be a phase and didn't wanna shell out a decent amount if he was only gonna play a couple games.
What's a better option for £16 -£20 range for child and adult if he starts playing more often?
A racket which is in one piece is generally sturdier and better than these ones with a plastic "yoke" ( the bottom of the egg face of the racket, on good rackets its not a seprate piece, the egg shape is one piece). Also better rackets do not have seprate bars tracking into the handle. For an adult you would want one slightly heavier.
I'm struggling to find one for £6 more which matches ur description. Could u post a link to one please. Thanks

Thanks, I was looking under intermediate rackets on sports direct but this one is under beginners. Says for intermediate users in product description tho. I see ur point about the construction in 1 piece.

Every little helps !
This is why I don't shop much in tesco now only when they send a coupon through the door for £6 off a £40 shop 15% off my normal shop I can handle but only get the offers and spend just over £40 to fully get all the discount. Tesco staff !!! Are they daft enough to even put the sticker on ?? I mean really a discount of 1p I suppose it's better that the other offers they do like £1.50 each or 2 for £3 !!!!!!
All stolen now

Thanks for posting this deal. Managed to find a copy of Mario Tennis Open 3DS for £10 after a dig around in the clearance section yesterday. No sign of Tomadochi Life, but Big Hero 6 3DS, Smurfs 3DS, Nintendogs 3DS and Jewel Link 3DS games still available. All games sealed and in the plastic security boxes. The Mario game came up as £15 at the checkout, but store assistant put it through as £10.

I've still got Tomodachi life to play. looks a strange game but for £10 you can't complain.
