I'm tempted to go for the standard size but no idea what to buy with it to get the price to £150 or over. The only games I'm really interested in are a Link to the Past and AC New Leaf but Tesco do neither. They also don't seem to do any cases and the charger is £3 for delivery.

can see these being dropped come March if the recent NX rumours are to be believed.

Yeah I think so. No backwards compatibility it seems.
I had my eyes on the Fire Emblem edition for a long time, and at £175 I just kept on hesitating, until now.
£155 is a very good price, relative to its regular price and cheapest I saw at Amazon (around £180).

I would only buy Android tablet with 2gb ram.

I've got a 2 Gb Linx 10 that works fine with the Windows program I need. The program doesn't run on Android so that is irrelevant.

Turkish, actually.

This is the same TV rebranded as Panasonic and Hitachi recently on HUKD:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/panasonic-tx-48cx400b-48-smart-3d-4k-ultra-hd-tv-black-389-del-with-code-ao-2480103

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/hitachi-49-inch-4k-uhd-smart-led-tv-349-99-argos-2475196

Crazy spec for the money, with 4x HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2-compliant ports. Superb picture in 1080p and 4k. iPlayer, Netflix and Youtube all built-in.

Make sure to run a firmware update when you switch it on and tinker with the settings. Ignore the brand snobs - you'll be rewarded with a very, very good picture for a staggeringly low price.

So I wonder if you can flash panny firmware on? Would be good to unlock more smart apps etc; and I gather panny is fire OS? If so then side load android comes to mind!
I need some help, I am looking at this TV and http://www.tesco.com/direct/samsung-ue40ju6000-smart-4k-ultra-hd-40-inch-led-tv-with-built-in-wifi-and-freeview-hd/549-5644.prd for my daughter she will use it for gaming , what would be the better one to ho for? Ps I can het the samsung for £377

Possibly a bit big for where I want it but the TV is fantastic, even plays H265 HEVC files with the built in player. Some Tesco reviews say there is a firmware bug that can stop it turning on and an update fixes it. I did the update and it put me on a lower firmware version. Still works though, I might email them about that.

I've ordered one, what's the plug situation, I believe the cable is hard wired but is the plug molded or swappable?
What difference does it make ?? It is just as easy to replace a molded plug as it is a swappable one.
Cutting the cable normally voids the warranty though.

guys same here. i have received the cancellation email AFTER the despatch and I have just received the game one minute ago. So there's still hope. Sad to know the pricing was a mistake, I wouldn't have try to get it if I even though it was because of that, but usually when it happen is more obvious, like 25 instead of 250, but the price seemed fair to me.

Dear Customer

With regards to your recent Tesco Direct order, we are sorry to inform you that your item catalogue number 773-0485 Pokemon X (3DS) was cancelled from your order due to a technical error we are unable to fulfil this part of your order.

If your order was placed using a payment card online or over the phone we have already refunded you. Please allow 3-5 working days for this to show in your account.

My copy was supposedly on its way but I have now received an email saying its cancelled due to a technical error (took them over 24hrs to come up with that) Disappointing - back to hunting on eBay for me then!

Same here. Email saying is dispatched, and the day after, email saying is cancelled. Let's see what happens...

I called up customer services to clarify...

Apparently it was a misprice but they also said that they did fulfil some orders (so hopefully some will get) but then ran out of stock due to demand.

Still don't understand how their system marks something as posted and then manages to recall it 24hrs later.

Mildly annoying as this is the second time I have bought Pokemon x this week only to be left without. Maybe I should take the hint!

As long as we are all happy and safe I guess we don't really have much to complain about 8)

i like the way you think, bro :]

What is now tv like compared to sky channels? thinking of cancelling sky for this. we use sport channels and some kids
I've had both and nearly 2 years ago cancelled my contract with them and now just buy movie passes (when they are on offer). The movies & quality are EXACTLY the same as you get on contract and the interface is very good. Couldn't comment on sports other than seems pricey in comparison to contract but you'd expect that. It may not work out so good for you if you need sports, movies & kids. Might be worth negotiating with Sky about your contract!

thanks OP even better coz I had some vouchers to use :-)
good price , got one at the weekend on eBay for the same price so a good deal buying from the high street
Everytime I go to cancel my movie pass keep going right to the end then they give me it for an extra 4 months @ £3.99 a month that's now 3 times they have gave me the deal! Then the time they done I will just cancel it! It's all done through the box so seems like it might be an ongoing thing so happy days don't mind paying that a month for it!

Good for local coop I guess
Shame, love Borderlands 2 but sounds like this is overly geared towards online multiplayer...call me antisocial but I'd like a good old fashioned single player story/mission based shooter where I don't have to rely on others to enjoy it.
Been cheaper and will be even cheaper soon.

Servers dead, mediocre, flop.

been thinkin about getting this, can anyone liken it to another similar game to help me decide, also is it worth getting if not planning to play online??
get overwatch instead
I heard overwatch isn't great for single player story mode though...and only good for online campaigns...That true?
Well Overwatch doesn't have a single player campaign. Only training modes. The multiplayer is great fun and very easy to get into with a lot of depth despite its simple first appearance. Battle born feels like it was manufactured for esports while Overwatch will probably be picked up by esports for its own merit if you get my meaning.
The added merit to Overwatch is that anyone is welcome to play while Battleborn feels more geared towards hardcore team players. Make of that as you will.

This game is nothing like Overwatch. Literally not even close to the same genre. Battleborn has a story mode which is enjoyable but is only a side addition the multiplayer which is the main focus with this game. Similar games would most likely be league of legends/smite/paragon and other first person mobas. This game is pretty much a first person shooter moba with a capture mode and story mode added on. The story mode is decent with friends but pretty dull playing alone.

This is best for reheating takeaway chips/friend chicken from the night before. It doesn't work well with frozen food.
So far I have used it to cook frozen chips, beer battered fish (for fish and chips). Sausage rolls .

Its great for pre cooked frozen snacks as it cooks very quicky . Frozen oven chips are ready in 7/8 min rather than 15-20 min in the oven ( and u have to add on the extra time it takes for the oven to reach the desired temp)

Pastry and batter covered frozen snacks are much nicer on the airfryer as its cooked from all sides (In the oven its usually on a flat tray)

Sausage rolls come out spot on!!!

A tip with the frozen foods on the airfryer:
if you are getting perfectly cooked outside crust and the inside is still cold this is what you have to do.

Tale out the frozen stuff from the freezer and microwave for around 1 min on a plate and then put it in the airfryer . The crust/pastry will be a bit soggy when you take it from the microwave but dont worry !!

The airfryer cooks from outside to inside while a microwave cooks from the centre out.

This method is useful if you are getting frozen/cold centres on the airfryer.

never tried sausage roll in it must give it a try.

Would like to know how these compare to a deep fat fryer. I know they are healthier but can they cook proper chips etc.

They cook chips which taste just as good as deep fried only they tend to stick to each other a lot so it is recommended to give the basket a shake around halfway

Are they good for only chips or things like fish fingers and other asian foods

my chips don't stick together at all, yes great for fish fingers, chicken nuggets, onion rings, waffles are great too, chicken wings, breasts, or legs, the list goes on and on, for me everything taste better ie less fat in it. you'd be surprised how much fat drops of nuggets and fish fingers.

Do you feel it uses alot of electricity then?

Would like to know how these compare to a deep fat fryer. I know they are healthier but can they cook proper chips etc.
They cook chips which taste just as good as deep fried only they tend to stick to each other a lot so it is recommended to give the basket a shake around halfway
Are they good for only chips or things like fish fingers and other asian foods
Fish fingers are Asian now?
No smarty pants i asked about normal frozen food and asian food ( asian food as in chicken tilkka , marinated fish ,kebabs , samosa , sheesh kebabs ) thats why i said AND OTHER

The 'other' implies fish fingers are an Asian food. Basic English there.

Basic english oO no you never, whats that (_;)

I'm ideally looking for tesco to offer the new xbox one s before the clubcard boost finishes

i am not a happy customer from ao especially when it comes to returns of electrical goods. read their tcs and you will see that if you simply turn on the tv and then decide for whatever reason to return it (in their 'free' 14 days) you will miss more than 40% of the value of tv. As aforementioned this happened to me once, so i will never shop from them again.
Well all you simply have to do is be savvy and quote the consumer act and you will be fine ..you have to remember this Thier policy not the law.
Be interesting to know how you got on

talked with their support on the phone and if electricity passes through the tv then they consider it used. that was the case.

What I'd do (based on my post #7 above) is quote the relevant wording in Para 9, Reg 34 of the CCR: ''If (in the case of a sales contract) the value of the goods is diminished by any amount as a result of handling of the goods by the consumer beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, the trader may recover that amount from the consumer, up to the contract price.''

and remind them that passing electricity through the TV is essential to establish the 'functioning of the goods' and therefore that they're in breach of the CCR regulations. If you've already bought the TV, I'd send this in writing by recorded delivery and also email their HQ. May not always work, but these companies are usually wary of consumers who know the law and are ready to put up a stink..bad publicity etc.You can also mention BBC Watchdog.

Maybe I just got lucky - twice. Anyway, never had an issue with AOs customer service. Regulalry voted in the top 3 for customer service in the UK.

So my sofa didn't arrive... Was scheduled in for Saturday delivery. Saturday came and went with nothing from tesco. Had to call them up and ask, was told today that they are waiting for more stock despite the online status saying "ready for dispatch". Absolute joke! I started the thread and ordered a few weeks back so can't believe they've just run out! Fuming - first homebase and now this. :(

Got stock alert this morning. 2 seater Chocolate, Demin & Slate is back. Get it ordered before Clubcard Boost ends this weekend at 23:59 26/06/2016.

Just realised it's £299.:(

Thanks - just an update. I got in touch with Tesco, argued with them for a few days, then they finally agreed to send me a slate version of the same sofa as a replacement. It turned up yesterday, so it's all ended okay in the end.

I hope everyone else got their sofas okay!

can this be used to pay for a ps plus membership?

Edited By: bilaldude33 on Jun 03, 2016 12:54
I've been buying this one at this price for about a year now, thought someone would've already posted before, it's £3 free psn credit pretty much.
You forgot the ever present 5% CD Keys code which brings it down to something like £31.25, so cold.
I wasn't aware of the CDKeys 5% code but after looking in to it, that is for your first order only. Majority of people who look for these kind of deals will likely have already purchased from CDKeys.

It says that, but the code is not limited to just your first order. I've used it many, many times.

91% of face value and you have to drive out and get it? Sorry, not hot at all...
It's not ideal, but if you shop at tesco anyway or live nearby a store with C+C then it's actually a very good deal.

i got mine. thank you OP for posting the deal.
Just been to collect mine - all seems
Does anyone know what Tesco do when you return one part of an order where there's a voucher been applied - ie if I buy 2 cards and the now tv box and then take the box back....
if you pay solely in vouchers then the refund will be in points which will be converted to vouchers at the end of the next collection period
If you pay a combination of vouchers and card payment, believe you can specify if you want the refund onto your card or back in points - taken from the faq's
"We’ll refund your money in the same way you paid for your product.
By credit or debit card - Your money will go back onto the same card. Allow 3-5 working days for the refund to show in your account.
By gift card or money card - Your money will go back onto your card.
By card and Clubcard vouchers - We’ll either put your money back on the card or give you the equivalent value in Clubcard points."
Thanks, yeah I understand their general refund policy. What I was meaning was, has anyone used one of the Tesco voucher codes and then taken part of the order back - if so, do they take back the credit and give you your refund minus the amount, or just give you the straight refund?

Just in case anyone else was wondering....I just picked up mine and then returned the Apple TV box that I ordered as well. But because it was only a Tesco local, the returns was handled by someone on the end of the phone and I had confirmation via email - I got the refund minus the £10 promo discount. So next time I'll try returning at one of the superstores.

*It's the same when you return to the big stores too - you take the item you want to return to the click and collect desk and they refund the money back to your card and give you a receipt (any discount vouchers are taken off what you get refunded)

Got it for a pound, thanks OP!
I had a Karcher for a couple of years, then the on/off switch wouldn't work. I looked on some forums and it's a common problem. Now I have a Russell Hobbs window vac and, not only does it come with two blade heads, large and small, and a spray/mop bottle, but it cleans better, too.

I must say, I've bought and given away about 7 blenders in my 31 years and really wanted a Vitamix, I settled on a Nutribullet and can honestly say it's worth every penny at about £50-£70 depending on the deal you get.

Never had a window Vac but with boost, i'm guna try this 8)
Thanks for answering my question.
Actually, it's even easier - you shop as normal and at checkout it asks if you want to use your vouchers (you need to be signed in of course) and doubles them automatically.

Can anyone explain briefly or give a link on how that Clubcard Boost works?
Link your clubcard to your Tesco Direct account (create one if necessary). Then when you check out, there will be an option to add your clubcard vouchers.
Boost means the vouchers are worth twice their face value for certain items. So a £5 voucher would give you £10 off.
More detail here (scroll down to the bit with the blue boxes describing the steps: http://www.tesco.com/direct/clubcard-boost/?sc_cmp=ref*ccard*stc*boost*summer16&utm_source=clubcard&utm_medium=boost&utm_campaign=summer16&_ga=1.16246710.1824755433.1465007107

im desperate to replace mine for the ps4, mine strangley faulted after an update on the ps4, hasnt worked since, had to get a refund. I have many other seagates but all in use. i want one 2.5 inches for this price
Although a little bit more expensive. Seagate Expansion 2TB available for about 60 quid will do the job for the PS4. Loads of guides available online. Had mine in 6 months with no problems. A quick search has Argos , Currys and a few others at that price.

thats the one i used until it crashed on me after 12-14 months. i used seagate all the time but its the only time its ever failed on me, my ps4 was out of commission for about 5 months
Last year i was in two minds to get this 2TB portable at about a similar price. In the end i plumped for a millitary portable HD as used by the armed forces. It cost about £90 but its worth it. It has fallen from the table onto the floor and still works as well as being sat on by missus on the sofa and still works.

Do you know the name/model of the HD? Could use something like that.

£39.99 for 16gb? Can't see any at the price of descriptions stating it was ever that price?
All £49.99?
I bought the blue 16gb version out of Argos for £39.99. It was choice between that and the 8gb version with 2yr guarantee at JL which was the same price but having an Android phone and knowing how many apps don't work with external storage it seemed more sensible to get the 16gb version.

The blue 16gb was £39.99 at Argos on the 24th and 25th May before it went back to £49.99 on the 26th. It's also confirmed in the thread below.

add memory card its expandable memory...
I have the original Fire HD 7 that has 16GB built in. I think 8GB for apps would be a real struggle.
Yeah but most apps can't go on a memory card.
Nonsense, with a little knowledge it is no problem to run *ANY* apps from the SD (well, I've yet to find one that doesn't work fine from the SD), OK, You normally have to root the device, but I can't think of a single good reason not to root it anyway.

Great little tablet out of the box, but once you root, dump the Amazon rubbish, and install a decent launcher, fantastic deal!
can u tell me a good web site to explain how to root n dump Amazon bloatware off, sick of the Amazon forced junk on mine n want it cleared off.
There are several guides over at XDA-Developers, just do a search and use the one you like the sound of best.

Will this cast to Chromecast in another room?
Not straight out of the box. It can be done but it is quite fiddly to make it work:http://allaboutchromecast.com/how-to-use-chromecast-on-amazon-fire-tablets-fire-hd-fire-hdx-and-kindle-fire-hdx/
Appreciated - thanks
My rear shed gets good wifi and I've an 40" old HD tv in there. So with the apps to use Chromecast I can catch up while repairing stuff. Never watch a film end to end (like reading a book cover to cover) so this is ideal. Life story finished.
Seems like I'm mentioning it quite often but turning your tv into a smart tv with a black nowtv box loaded with the TVplayer app will cover all of your catchup and free view needs over wifi for very little outlay.http://blog.artesea.co.uk/2016/01/tvplayer-on-roku-or-now-tv.html

Well thanks for mentioning "quite often". I appreciate good advice. Thanks
